I actually use two, Adobe Fresco and Ibis Paint X. Mostly because they’re free apps, though… I use Fresco for everything and Ibis Paint for the comics.

Ahaha. Ahahaha... I screwed up-

So. How do I explain myself- Well- while on patrol, I found this glass container of this strange, green substance, deep in the woods. It had something written on its bottom. "Synthetic Energon", I believe? It's unlike anything I've seen before.

I took it back to headquarters since I wanted to study it more, and I was going to ask Jin if she wanted help with examining the liquid, and then... uuhhh.....

The aforementioned "synthetic energon" (or synth-en, if you will), is splattered onto the floor, the large vial fractured. It didn't seem like it fell from that great of a height, but it was enough to break it a bit. The medic's eyes seem to be different than usual, her eyes glowing green, akin to the green liquid behind her, rather than her usual pink eyes.

Jin- Jin please don't get mad at me. I know I'm not one to usually make mistakes like this, but it was an accident, and while I was too invested in this new discovery I wasn't looking at where I was going and... that happened.

I should also add... I may have consumed some of it, before it fell. Just thought that was worth mentioning. It was a dumb decision. I know. I was caught up in my curiosity at the time. But, I feel strangely energized after drinking it? Like, I feel a lot stronger? And pumped up, too. I don't know how or why, but that's just how I feel.

I'll get to cleaning it later, I just have... no idea what to do next....

Transformers RP blogs highly encouraged to interact! <3 This is a Transformers reference after all, and as a huge fan of it, (esp TFP), I wanted to do something related to both of my main fandoms!

It'd be nice to help a non-cybertronian, with a cybertronian problem. Speaking of that, Amber could use help from a fellow medic... (perhaps Ratchet? he's dealt with this before. or Knockout. Or literally TF blog in general, i'm desperate for TF roleplays lmao)

MORE INFO UNDER CUT! (if you don't know what synth-en is, or who amber is)

Synthetic Energon (nicknamed Synth-En) is a manufactured version of Energon, the fuel/lifeblood of Transformers. But unlike normal Energon, it is entirely artificial. It's very effective, and when used on machinery, it's proven to work very well. The catch is, it just works a little too well when used on sentient machinery.

When used on a Cybertronian (or in this case, a robovan), it brings them into a significantly more powerful state. However, it has the side-effect of affecting the user's mental stability, with heightening their agression and arrogance. The user may choose to make some... impulsive decisions, too.

Synthetic energon made its debut in Transformers: Prime, in season 1, episode 22. The medical bot, Ratchet, gets into contact with it and proceeds to get high on steroids.

When I realised Ratchet and Amber were in fandoms I were highly invested in, were both about transforming robots, AND WERE BOTH MEDICS, I decided it was the perfect idea to put Amber in Ratchet's position.

Amber is from the cartoon Robocar Poli, a show about a rescue team of transforming vehicles who save their town from various accidents. A medical expert who's kind, friendly and intelligent. Also, terrifying when mad.

I love Amber. I love Amber so much it hurts me. Same with Ratchet. I have a thing for medical robot characters...

She's a manmade transforming vehicle (implied. i don't think we've gotten solid confirmation or had someone say that the robocars are manmade but oh well we all collectively agree that they're manmade), sooo.. not cybertronian. With synthetic energon, and unrefined synth-en at that. This is totally going to go well.

RCP and TFP, while they have their similarities, they are drastically different. Transformers Prime is about robot warfare. Robocar Poli is a version of Rescue Bots from paralel universe (a reference to one post I saw). I love them both.

I don't know if someone already asked by why do you like the scp Foundation so much?

What's not to love? It's a universe where everything exists including monsters, gods, superheroes, supervillains, gangsters, warlords, interdimensional demons, angels, and so much more! Granted its mostly confined into depressing and creepy research facilities but it's still cool.

It's basically an already established setting yet you can still do whatever you want with it and technically no one is allowed to get mad at you. I mean people can, but they can't do anything to stop you, that's why most make their own thing instead like the ARC, the AEP Association and RCP Authority made by homophobes (not entirely true but I just like to say that to fuck with them.)

Then there's me who made SCP: Horror Movie Files which is basically a giant fanfiction mess.

Essentially there's so much that can be done with the SCP Foundation and its content so that's why I and so many others keep coming back to it even after all these years. Yes, there's no single cannon which leaves things super confusing but that's part of the fun. You can decide what is true and what isn't. I understand it's not for everyone and don't blame anyone who claims the wiki gave them a headache instead, but I'll always love the SCP Foundation for the joy and chaos it brings to the internet.

So, as an upcoming artist and a producer of two big projects (that I KNOW are gonna be bangers) what tips do you have to give when it comes to story writing?

My biggest issue is inconsistency and way too many sub plots (hence the delay of the project iykyk wink wonk), so I'd like to see how you deal with similar issues.

So for Born Yesterday, I already settled on a story focusing on Jin and the way she handles her grief + Taking care of rescue vehicles. To keep consistent, I would highlight the importance of her grief since it’s the focus, then figure out how it would impact the rest of the characters and episodes.

But trully to keep this in mind, I just write it down in a way I don’t forget about it!

My non RCP project (Fly Trap) was a bit more of a hassle to create since I’ve been developing it for nearly a whole year, plus has its own magic system and all. But for this, I basically made the world and system first, characters second, since the characters are gonna be the ones making an impact in the world they’re put in.

Kinda mentioning this since BY and Fly Trap have different writing styles ahaha

But what I would do about the many subplots plus the inconsistencies is to roughly write it all down in order, all the arcs and everything on one sheet, sometimes even sketch out the key scenes of the story (which I did for BY). Once everything is put on paper, triage the scenes that aren’t really needed, the ones that don’t help the narrative or the ones that are a little repetitive. As you write, some ideas might come and others might go and thus you’ll find the product that will make the cut! Mostly how I found mine ahaha

I can’t show the stuff I’m writing cuz secrets /jjjjj

But for the scenes that’ll stand out the most in episode 1 for examples, I have made rough thumbnails of.

Another thing that helps is looking for patterns or recurring themes in those subplots. Sometimes, you can merge similar subplots or weave them into the main plot to tighten the story. And don’t forget to highlight the emotional beats. Pinpointing the scenes that carry the most weight can help you decide what’s worth keeping and what’s extra.

I’m a bit confused on what the intent of this ask was buuuuut

Why not? They’re super sweet and we share some similar interests!! I honestly don’t remember how we met, but I think it was because we were both super into rcp at the time and bonded over that. We may not be super invested in that specific fandom at the moment, they still show me new fandoms and games and whatnot, which allows me to get into more stuff!! :D

Bread is also very fun to play and mess around with!! Sometimes we just join random games and cause chaos and its so fun >:]

*After hours of searching, Helly found and wrapped everything he needed to give to everyone. He then wrote on some notes and stick it on the presents, which are wrapped in the same color as his teammates' paint colors/signature colors. Lastly, each present is placed somewhere within the quarters where everyone can see it.*
