New doll? New doll!

This is Aurelia, a porcelain BJD by Adollable Dolls out of South Africa. Her official artist name is Faylynn, but I wasn't a fan of that

She came in this lovely box:

With some extras:

Silver hair ornament with a little clip so she or I can wear it, and a box of Lindt truffles that unfortunately got squished in transit

She's a lovely doll overall; I've had some porcelain BJD disappointment in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised to open her and not feel that (two of the three I had previously owned ended up disappointing me). There are a few flies in the ointment, however.

The Good: gorgeous doll, good quality porcelain, very well done painting, little molded rings, posing is decent, spring jointed (which I prefer to elastic because it doesn't wear out), painted pubic hair- don't let unrealistic beauty standards get to you!, very soft and well constructed wig, pierced ears and earrings, nice packaging, came with a pretty stand that has a little silver feet

The Bad: weirdly small and narrow feet for the size and proportions of the doll; definitely cannot stand on her own, eyes are ever so slightly unfocused, artist sprayed a very strong perfume inside the box, does take a bit of finagling to pose even though she gets there in the end

(also I dropped one of her earrings on my carpet and now I can't find it, which is not the fault of the artist and has me kicking myself because they are very cute little gold leaves)

Overall, I would recommend this artist for the most part. Just be aware of the tiny feet thing, and maybe ask her if she can not spray perfume on the package if you have any kind of sensitivities or just generally don't want that

"he did what? no. no, he's not getting to do that to you again. i've watched devalued by that man far too many times." aurelia could feel the anger boiling in their blood. how many times could one person sneak around with another behind their partner's back? it was insane. "it's not fair to you, not fair to your...your anything-" she's quick to shake away the exuding anger. emotions were an easy grip for demons, even if not specialized for succubi. he- aurelia- was not going to let loose until given the okay to do so. but it didn't mean that they were going to just sit and listen. "please tell me you broke it off or...or something!"

Rules: Pick an OC and think--if they were to carry a picture of someone in their wallet, who would this person be?

And uh. Ok, first of all, who of my chars would have a wallet?! Yes, yes, I could probably make up a wallet if I am already making up a picture, but give me a second.

I know which one is the least likely - Caldyn. No pockets, no eyes.

The most likely to carry a wallet is probably Ross, even if it's not exactly a modern times wallet. My anxious boy won't leave the house without his bag, including a bit of money, water, medicine, a kerchief, and a notebook at minimum. And while the obvious answer might be Irina, he is living with her, he sees her each day. I think if he had a way of getting one, he'd carry a picture of Lichen. For when he needs a reminder that they always believed in him.

With her arms wrapped around herself, she stared at the other for a moment before she sighed and averted her gaze so the myriad of emotion was hidden better, taking deep breaths as she shook her head. "Just ... don't.. I'm not-" she stops again, lips pressing into a thin line.

Revisited the design of an old favourite PC of mine for fun!

She was from a sci-fi slice of life horror campaign, and you would not believe the rizz this little shit had. I think she was juggling four slow burns near the end there, but she was mostly oblivious to all of them. She smelled like shellfish because of her 69 pet crabs collectively known as "The Jeremies". She carried her snapping turtle familiar around in her backpack. She really wanted to be a barbarian which led her to frequently getting into melee range and going first in the marching order with her -2 strength and 65hp. She told the president to "get off her dick" when she was still level one. I call her "Shithead Supreme"

Her fingers tingle as she slides her hand back to her side. A glowing feeling between them she could only describe as trust.

Eddie and Chrissy are so nervous and cute, they're getting there!

I'm hoping to update Aurelias in Sept! Fantasy AUs are so creatively draining, but I LOVE this story so much. thank you for asking about it<3
