I tend to loop like late at night when I’m tired and stuff and one of these days I’m expecting myself to just fall asleep while autolooping or something

the default looping of video media annoys me to no end. (what's the point? who wanted this? is it just to game engagement numbers by tricking inattentive people into not realizing the video is over and watching more of it?)

so of course i turned on an xkit setting to disable it here on tumblr, but it means i'm constantly caught taking an extra step up the stairs when videos will just suddenly end without an ending because they were designed to loop around to the beginning (to make the autoloop less jarring?)

there's no way to win.
