Im bored as fuck so here is how I identify all of the classic Boeing and airbus airplanes in their lineups as an avgeek. :3
And im not including varients... the a320 family counts as an exception
I shall start under the cut ✈️ this is mostly a shitpost
Starting with airbus because I will leave the best for last (fight me on it i am AMERICAN 🦅🇺🇲🤠🦅🤠🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🤠🦅🇺🇲 GRAVES WOULD BE PROUD)
1 - Airbus a300.

Off to a good start because I honestly have the hardest fucking time identifying both the a300 and a310... I forgot they even existed for a good while.
I guess you can identify these because they have the same cockpit windows and overall fusolodge shape as the a330.. but you'd need to know what a a330 looks like first 💀
So I just imagine a a330 but without wingtips ... also making it look quite old? Idek 😋
What the yap... anyways
2 - airbus a310

Basically the same shit as the a300... but shorter/smaller???? Idk you can blame airbus for that. Im also pretty sure Boeing did the same thing with the b707 and the b721..
Idk but there was a good while where I actually thought the a310 was the a300 bc.. smaller plane = smaller number??? Idk
Okay so id identify it as a a330 looking ass plane but TINY and with those same flat wings without wingtips as the a300 😌
3 - airbus a220 DANG I FORGOT ABOUT THIS ONE

Okay man this one wasnt even created by airbus themselves... so the fact its so different might help you or it might make shit harder.
Its a small narrowbody aircraft.. comparable to the a320 but the wingtips are different and... just hear me out on this one..
It has four panel cockpit windows.
Not any other aircraft (except the OG 787 dreamliner my beloved.. also the dreamliner is a wide body soo...) has those 4 panels on the cockpit windows. So count them. If there are 6 than its probably not the a220. 😌
- 4 airbus A320 as we continue the trend of going out of order 😋

Iconic airbus plane. Instead of starting with the a318 ill start with the a320 bc there is a reason a a320 family is called the a320 family 😌
It has a cute little dolphin looking nose and is a narrowbody. It has only one pair of wheels on each side of the main landing gear. It also has that iconic airbus cockpit windows that are shaped like a box almost. All the other times you'll see this shape of cockpit windows it would be on a wide body i think.
Either way this is by far the most common airbus aircraft you'll see. All of these features are present on the rest of the a320 family. (A318, a319, and a321)
- 5 airbus a318 BABYBUS 🥹🥹🥹

CUTIEEEEE you can literally count the first section of windows on your hand if you have one extra finger specifically. So there are 6
Smallest on the airbus commercial aircraft lineup.. there was never ever an a318 NEO created so the engines will forever be tiny (sorry i forgot about the legendary A3 how could I forget... you should definitely search up the airbus A3 if you decided to read this)
Also there are only 1 singular window exit in the middle. The a320 has two and for the a319 you just gotta count the windows
Also... im pretty sure airfrance is one of the only airlines that still operate the BABYBUS so you will be most likely to see it in the airfrance livery :3
- 6 Airbus a319

In-between the a318 and a320 in size obviously.
But the a319 has wayy more windows at the front than the babybus while still having that one singular exit window in the middle as you see in that picture :3
- 7 airbus a321

Shes just a longer version of the a320 lol
But its wayyy easier to identify because it doesn't have an exit window in the middle but a freaking DOOR... 8 of them and 4 on each side :3
[Sidenote, if you want to figure out if each aircraft is a NEO... basically the newer version with better engines and more efficient and shit... just look at the freaking engines. They are noticeably bigger. They also usually have shark let's, or just bigger wingtips in a nutshell. And if you see the iconic airbus racoon mask (basically a black border around the cockpit windows painted in) aslong as it isnt the a350 then its DEFINITELY a neo.
Neo literally means "New engine option" while anything else is a CEO, or "current engine option" ]
- 8 airbus a330 BUTTER MACHINEeE

If you'd care to remember the last 7 airplanes i yapped about... the a330 is literally them but BIGGER. A wide body airbus aircraft :3
Also it has two pairs of wheels in each side of the main landing gear this time. And they also tilt up while landing... also why its called the butter machine because the tilted landing gear creates the CLEANEST and most SCRUMPTIOUS and SMOOTHEST looking landings EVER... we call that a butter😉🧈
Oh and whatever I said about NEOs and CEO versions in that sidenote? Apperently I forgot about the a330 because all of that is true for this one aswell.
- 9 airbus a340

Out of all the planes im gonna talk about this is the only one with only ONE floor and four engines
So yeah thats basically all.
You could even say this is basically the a330 but with four engines... but the larger varients of the a340 can get HUGE
So yeah. A340 and RIP because even LUFTANSA is retiring those... Lufthansa who said "yeah no ima keep these 747s while everyone else is retiring them" (i am NOT complaining... but neither am I GLAZING them like I've seen some others do for this)
- 10 airbus a350 😒😒😒

Clearly am not a fan of this plane for no justifiable reason. But its a pretty big wide body. Has some goofy shaped cockpit windows but you cant even see them because EVERY TIME you'll see this aircraft is will have thaf airbus racoon mask I was talking about earlier.
Also the nose is kinda pointy
The a350-900 has two pairs of wheels
Whilst the a350-1000 has 3 pairs of wheels on the main landing gear in each side
So the one on the picture is clearly a -900
(Just you wait until I glaze the 787 like crazy)
- 11 airbus a380 that one fat plane /jk

Starting with Fokker F.VIIs, LOT’s fleet has changed dynamically, reflecting the evolution of aviation technology and the shifting eras of Poland itself. Over its nearly century-long history, LOT has overhauled its fleet multiple times. In its first decades, the airline flew Douglas DC-2s, Lockheed Model 10A Electras, and later Model 14H Super Electras. Post-war, Soviet aircraft took the stage, with Il-14s, Il-18s, Tu-134s, Tu-154s, and the flagship Il-62. New times brought yet another fleet refresh, this time featuring Boeing, Bombardier, and, in the early 2000s, a newcomer – Embraer.
LOT first got acquainted with Brazilian planes in 2004 when it took on the Embraer 170. Back then, these “Brazilians” were fresh faces in aircraft manufacturing, and LOT decided to take a chance on them. Compact, fuel-efficient, perfect for regional routes – just the ticket. The 170s were followed by Embraer 175s and 195s, with LOT operating around fifty of these machines in total. They became the workhorses for routes like Warsaw-Krakow, Warsaw-Riga, or Warsaw-Amsterdam. Over the years, Embraer became a mainstay for LOT, and the airline even set up its own maintenance system for these planes. By the 2020s, though, some of the older Embraers had to be retired – time takes its toll. New models stepped in to take their place.
The Embraer 195-E2 is the latest chapter in LOT’s story. These planes, part of the E-Jets E2 family, started joining the fleet in 2024. The first one (SP-LEA) landed in Warsaw in July, with two more arriving by October. The E195-E2 is a different beast from its predecessors. Its Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines save fuel and run quieter, while the wings, with their large winglets, cut down on drag. The cabin, though designed for 146 seats, was configured by LOT for 136 to give everyone a bit more room. They’re now flying from Warsaw to London, Istanbul, Amsterdam, and other cities. Passengers are pleased – the cabin’s quiet, and there’s more legroom in economy than in the older models. LOT didn’t choose these planes on a whim: they’re cheaper to maintain than big Boeings and ideal for 2-3 hour flights. Plus, they can land at smaller airports where larger jets can’t maneuver.

Avgeek ass nerd here. The leash is actually a communication cord connected to the man's big ahh yellow headphones there that directly connects to the flight deck. From there, the pilots can communicate with the groundcrew as they pushback this Ryanair 737 that's probably gonna have their landing gear violated later on touch down.
