side braids r not actually good for action sequences i KNOW fandom likes to draw sidebraids because then you can see the person in the photo has #hair but giving katniss a sidebraid rather than backbraid and inej a sidebraid rather than #braidedcoil
#i did cross country and aikido and can assure u it's not a good action hairstyle it's a) gets in your face and b) whacks your chest and c)#it's a handhold for an assailant#katnisses hair being braided is alright as she doesn't by nature do too much hand to hand#but inej's hair sould be as UP and not handholdy as possible#braided coil or crown braid#i KNOW that this is such a dumb hill to die on but it's like. aesthetics over simple practicality i don't like these adaptation changes for#like the way that this is a) totally gender neutral b) works from either pespective and c) is a song that they might actually have heard
