Bacon wrapped dates are a mouthwatering combination of sweet and savory flavors. The sweetness of the dates pairs perfectly with the crispy, salty bacon, and the toasted almond adds a delightful crunch. These appetizers are perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients: 12 Medjool dates, pitted. 6 slices of bacon, cut in half crosswise. 12 whole almonds, blanched and toasted. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Toothpicks for securing.

Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C. Place a toasted almond within each pitted date. Give each filled date a dash of black pepper. Place a half-slice of bacon around each stuffed date and fasten it with a toothpick. Transfer the dates wrapped in bacon to a wire rack or parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and cooked to your preference, in an oven that has been preheated. Before serving, take the toothpicks out. Serve these delectable dates wrapped in bacon as a starter or a snack.
