ok so i think that my favourite fantasy subgenre is The Inherent Tragedy Of Being Born Into Royalty. which mostly means that i like to read about gay princes but with some nuance

#ethically i am opposed to monarchies and empires. i think being born into a royal bloodline is inherently traumatising #which makes for the juiciest tastiest drama in stories obviously #either you become a bad ruler and people will suffer at your feet. or you become a good ruler and you no longer belong to yourself #how much will you sacrifice at the altar of your ideals?#It Compels Me. Narratively #also books like the goblin emperor have a big autism appeal in like. the court had a lot of nonsensical rules and you have to mask so much #apparently i am such a parody of myself that whenever im like. i have a drawing of my current blorbo #my friend immediately assumes it's a prince based on their vibes #IT'S NOT ALWAYS A PRINCE... something about the way the hermits try to blend their bases together when they're close by is just really sweet to me. I don't really know how to explain it other than like. it's art. they start out with their empty plots of land and then they shape it and change it and they start growing into each other. the lines blur. it's like they're all given a slab of marble and they carve their own statues but they make the statues hold hands. i dunno.

Tboy puppy but he’s old dog coded so he just lays at your feet and randomly lets out a big sigh. Sometimes he begs but if you don’t give in quick enough he just walks away. The funniest part of this new event is the fact I can't find out what's going on it from spoilers. All context is lost in the wave of Hot Eel Mom. I love her, all hail Georgina, mother of This and That, but where is the context? What *is* the event?

to be fair, we're still in the intro part, so not much has actually happened yet! Jade and Floyd were supposed to go to their mom's friend's wedding to help with the ancient merfolk marriage custom of

❤️❤️❤️~the Test of Love~❤️❤️❤️

but Floyd last-minute changed his mind (on account of being Floyd) and Azul was like "I'm not going if your mom is going to be there". at which point Jade realized he'd just been handed a golden opportunity to invite the absolute funniest group of people he could think of.

anyway tl;dr Jade manipulates a bunch of nerds into joining him to heckle/throw bricks at/try to drown a couple of randos in the name of love, what could possibly go wrong
