imagining whoever is dismantling tenna to make the terrarium opening him up, discovering years worth of dusty, crumb-covered fur inside, and gagging. "yeesh, when's the last time anyone cleaned this thing out? alright, let's get to work..."

re: tenna constantly comparing himself to other technology: imagine him crashing out when a tv gets installed in the cafe area (it's mostly there for background noise; just left on playing news at really low volume or, like, a 'lofi beats to study and relax to' playlist for the cafe-goers). it'll take tenna a while to realize that nobody even watches that tv while he as a display piece gets much more attention...

I HONESTLY IMAGINE CRACKING TENNA OPEN FOR THE FIRST TIME WOULD BE A REAL PIECE OF WORK like they'd have to discharge him and i wonder if that would mean having to clean out all the fur inside him first so you could actually see what's going on and to negate fire hazard? like when vets shave an animal before surgery...

THE PLANTS FACT SHEET IS SO CUTEEEEE i work at a greenhouse and we have the same kinda thing where our very special plants have their own fact sheets this just makes me chuffed because it's something familiar hehe... heres another idea: ive seen diy terrariums like tenna that have spots for plant pots rather than the plants just being planted in the display so the plants can be removed for maintenance. i imagined that the terrarium tenna becomes would be like that and the plants inside him could be swapped and maybe they could have multiple laminated sheets too.. swapping plants would keep the experience somewhat new and people can come back to see a new plant...

oh yeah on the topic of decoupling himself from technology i guess its not entirely true that he wouldn't be electronic, like it wouldn't be coming straight from him but he'd have to have lights and probably a fan installed inside for the plants. however because he no longer acts as a tv i think he sadly might lose his speech quirk of using those big flashy flavored text (my headcanon for those is that when he does the fancy text it is him literally flipping his display to another channel and having it talk for him)... or maybe hed somehow make those sounds with his own mouth idk. if i remember correctly, he really doesn't use that speech quirk when he's having serious/genuine conversations

been rotating in my mind that we never really get to see Tenna like ... as he would be under normal circumstances (the only time would be in castle town and thats like ... a few lines of dialog that dont say much about anything), considering the amount of pressure he must have been under he kept it together for a pretty long time imo

he hadnt been watched in so long the TV wasnt even plugged in anymore, he didnt know about Dess being missing instead of just not coming to visit, about Asriel leaving for college (so what does it mean for a darkner like him to be unplugged in the light world? bc hes very very afraid Kris will do it again if he doesnt go along with whatever they wanted- which we dont know if it was the same as what the knight wanted- and doesnt know things he likely should have otherwise, is it like sleeping? like a coma? near death??)

it must be nightmarish for someone like him who really seems to live for being entertaining- he has to do whatever the knight wants him to do bc he thinks this is his last chance at ... live really? yes he was told, as per his own words, that if he goes along he will get to have an audience again (how could he refuse that?) but i dont think he was fully oblivious to the knight just straight up killing him if he doesnt, and, whether it was a coincidence the knight was there right in that moment or not, the second he turns against the deal with it he gets cut to pieces!! and only survives if you got all the recruits, otherwise hes jsut left to die somewhere in the darkworld and with the deal with Kris he mentions, assuming it was a different one from the knights, it would mean he had two different deals with both awful or deadly consequences going on at the same time if he didnt (its possible that Kris told him what to do in the knights place and their threat was unplugging him so the knight showing up and killing him would have been unexpected STILL he even says he knows its not what the knight wants him to do when you beat him peacefully... things to consider)

seeing as Toriel does throw him out like garbage that too would be a pressure point, not actively doing anythign isnt an option bc being thrown out would also likely result in death for an old CRT TV (it also fucks me up knowing that if he survives and you dont get him to castle town right away he gets thrown out of the house into the rain but if you let him die or kill him Toriel just kinda ... keeps .. essentially his corpse around???? what??? what a nightmare)

dont even think we can tell that he has always done shady things and contracts bc i can imagine it also being an effect of the pressure, putting on a show and having to keep it going for so long (as it seems like it wasnt planned to keep going that long, sure he himself doesnt want it to end either but the knight also didnt show up until hes literally at his wits end), scrambling to put all this together on short notice isnt an easy thing to do and you would need as many hands as you can get by any means necessary-

and then being left behind as everyone leaves bc he cant keep it together anymore?????????????????? being abandoned being one of his greatest fears????????? (including spamton btw!! more abandonment issues!!!)

(this isnt a uwuw he did nothing worng everrr post, i just like thinking about the reasons behind characters actions and i just ......... i dont think you can judge his character all that well when the majority of what you see of him is him at his most desperate, literally afraid for his life and losing everything he was afraid of losing!! !)

i know full well that me interpreting spamton and tenna being brothers when like everyone ships them is just gonna be a repeat of scc (except I don’t like spamton and tenna as much and therefore don’t care as much, I’m not going to be looking for fanart of them anyway) but like they literally look and act alike And there are barely any canon sibling darkners or even darkners who are family Wehn We Know That Can Happen so this would make me less miffed that we just got spamton again but big and tv headed. what do you expect from me. unless there’s dialogue directly disproving this. in which case I’m Sorry (edit: i Am wrong. sorry !)

also im thinking of making deltarune ocs based on spamton mentioning ‘the ketchup kids’ in the sweepstakes twitter qna and tenna saying “tear down my house, tear down my kids” and so the ketchup kids are spamton’s nibling’s who refuse to call him their uncle but they Do call jevil their uncle. bc they like him better and he taught them to play games and beat spamton at them every time

In the Roaring Skip AU, how does Chapter 3 & 4 work now? Will Noelle and Berdly get involved with Tenna? Do they fight a stronger Titan in the Sanctuary? What about the Bunker? The Knight? Whatever’s implied with Asgore? So many pieces are on and off the table now that some key pieces have been shown earlier than expected.

I know at the very least I want the two same dark worlds to appear

I'm really torn about whether or not to include berdly and noelle in TV world honestly? on one hand I think TV world serves as a breather of sorts before things get real, but on the other hand things just GOT real. would berdly and noelle like playing with the others in that space? should they. get little minigame outfits.

If I did bring everyone into the same TV world it would probably be fun gang vs berdly & noelle like theyre two teams on a game show, as an excuse to like, give each some time alone with each other. maybe ralsei has to switch from one team to another so he gets some one on one time getting to know berdly & noelle now that they are directly acknowledging him

and why is everyone there? maybe group sleep over. Because Noelle is locked out of her house + can justify a sleepover at the dreemurs’ house. and Berdly is afraid to walk home in the dark wants to protect Noelle of course!! why would he be afraid of the dark after darkness itself attacked him!! Afraid!? HAHAHA <- needs an easy win that only tenna’s quiz show can provide

why would kris still make the dark world? maybe trying to get the knight plans back on track? idk how they'd lure undyne over... mysterious means.

And then for chapter 4 I think it would be most interesting to either keep it to the main 3 again, bc I’m sure Noelle would completely spoil the Gerson mystery for Susie.

or just include Noelle and not Berdly. Both bc I think Berdly will have gone thru so much character introspection in such a short time that I think he’s going to be physically ill. And ALSO bc I saw an interesting post mentioning how Berdly isn’t anywhere in the prophecy, even tho Noelle is implied to be hidin in there with the whole Susie vs Noelle “the girl” stuff.

Think: Everyone talking abt “well wait where’s Berdly” and ralsei is. Sweating.

I’m not sure how a lot of the extraneous stuff abt the bunker or asgore ect ect fit into the idea bc I can IMAGINE this concept rippling thru future chapters too and I wanna keep myself open to being ok w/the ideas I am forming being malleable bc of that 🫰

The second time he does it you could argue he is(tbh i think he’s just crashing out lmfao) but the first time he for sure seems like he’s being fully genuine.

He has issues!!! But hes not a bad person for it!!! Hes just gotta learn! Which like. Brings me onto the “hes just a guy” thing.

okay so I have been laying in bed staring at the ceiling for a good two hours and I think I’ve got something

spamton’s whole crash out for lack of a better word revolves around the fact he picked up a phone call, right? and we know from both ch3 and 4 that the knight’s(or whoever is orchestrating this all) main way of contacting kris is through calls. so. by crazy chance, spamton discovers their plans and not only that, but the information that’s there plants the idea of chasing his own freedom

he already knows about souls, is it such a leap for him to understand kris is being controlled, physically or otherwise, through that one little phone call??

it’s not crazy to suggest characters interacting directly with the knight either bc tenna mentions them a bunch butttt. ough. I don’t know it’s basically impossible to predict toby fox’ narrative at any given time but it sure is fun to throw shit at the fan in the meantime

ive been thinking a LOTTT abt the tone shift from chapters 3-4 of deltarune and the more i do the more pieces click into place in my head that make me realize its 100% intentional. in fact the entire thing Screams "diversion". like im not the first to realize this obviously but:

chapter 3 is short (relatively), simple and VERY linear. its like a "condensed" version of the formula so far; the tone is lighthearted and goofy and the antagonist has fairly not-that-evil motivations when considering the other two. its "safe"!!

the knight fully placing faith in someone like tenna not to crack under pressure and seriously keep toriel for the taking doesnt feel right after how the last 2 chapters went (which makes me think toriel might have ALSO been a distraction and instead the knight was shooting for undyne in the end, which they got. toriel might not even have any connection to the shelter keypad but idk. also ik the knight has already used the previous antagonists as pawns so it fits in the same as usual)

the final nail in the coffin to all this though is this dialog which my friend pointed out to me when i brought it up to him (thank u)

like. Yeah this is a distraction from the real shit going on . Actually the thing i most wanted to mention is that if u really think about it tenna being the Most Average Twink Sexyman In the Whole Fucking Game (love him but i have to tell it like it is bc its funny as hell) could be interpreted as a distraction too but in a more fandom-y sense. like. Kris knight. The "Knight" didn't even get a mention as far as I am, but it's gonna be real "funny" if they reveal that Kris did it because Ralsei will be Mad, and Susie will be Mad because she doesn't like it when people keep things from her But the beginning of the new Darkworld tells me 2 things: Kris might've at least created the original Darkworld somehow because the beginnings are so similar, or this is their First darkworld, and they took some inspiration. Or this is just how dust darkners Look idk Everyone in Kris's Home also of course knows their Name, but maybe that's also a sign that they're Not the knight?

Now I also wonder If Lanino and Elnina are actually also objects or If they're a TV Programm.

I also sadly didn't get enough Shadowmen to recruit :( I wonder what they're in the light world

SPEAKING OF LIGHT WORLD:

Darkners Lore got dropped on us fast huh? They even said the Line "get darker than dark" It's still a bit confusing, since I think there still definetly IS some sort of real mystical element involved, plus Ralsei's self esteem is basically non existant, of course he's convinced he's not real, plus the whole theory of Kooki that the objects are Just the Ankers for the darkners ect. So I'm not too Sure about how much truth His words actually hold when he says that darkners are Just objects. Of course the source has a bit more truth than theories, and Toby is uncomfortabke making lightner plushies, but darkners plushies are ok, but unfortunately I am biased towards Ralsei deserving to have self esteem, and fortunately I have 1&1/2 chapters ahead of me, so still plenty of room to debunk Ralsei And Support Susie's point. My sister also said that she felt the loredumo felt a little Out of nowhere, and I also kinda thought that's more something for later in the Chapter, but uhh I get why it's being done early I guess.

I am also not surprised by Susie's reaction to everything, but also kinda, since I saw more theorys about that being some sort of big breaking Up Point for everyone. But we still have the "keeping stuff from you" Angle for that's huh?

Sidepoint, but we saw Susie's room in the loredrop?!

Ok, continuinh with Darkners , my favourite Darkners: Rouxls and Lancer

Jk, maybe you know my favourite Darkners, Just wanted to say one of my theories got debunked, because Lancer might still Turn to Stone and he's okay with it, and Rouxls is fucking fantastic. To Rival the fun Gang throuple (fun Gang ship teaser) He Made His own, sadly the Rainbow was unpure, but I guess that's not because they were a throuple, but because it was Rouxls they were throupling witheth. And He hath so many funny Moments this Chapter, I loveth it

Anyway Back to my actual favourite Darkner: Purirun's weed friend (Ralsei).

He went from being ignored by Queen to the Main Event (at least for me)

He was so adorable through everything, and one of His stats also got replaced by guts. Interesting.

This Chapter we're really able to kinda... challange His self image a bit?

You can choose to Switch to Susie multiple Times, but what I did instead was Talk to Ralsei and pep Talk him a bit. I know it's probably Not what Kris might've wanted (I'm sorry Kris), but I needed that for him ok? I don't know If I want him to know that I was the one who told him that. Maybe I do.

Also Ralsei is actually talking about something seemingly important with Kris when we're supposed to not be looking.

Two more things, I Had the Option to tell Ralsei that He "Looks familiar" but didn't, I wonder what he'll say then, and also I wonder what Susie was doing. I am really intrigues by the thematical implications of choosing Ralsei over Susie, and kinda also robbing Kris of little Moments of freedom, while giving Ralsei individuality in Turn. Heck, I wonder If Kris would've told Ralsei that they opened the fountain, If this was their First time and Ralsei didn't know about it of course since He describes the Dark fountain AS a dark presence again, but hey it's the Dark world everything is dark

Susie's Controller Switch Up was also great. Ralsei got to be the one that makes the decisions, and while you could Interpret that in a more sinister way, in a Sense that it was always kinda him in Control, and about the player n stuff, you can also See that as him actually doing stuff for himself for once, as well as Kris playing as Susie, basically the same thing, and Susie being more Kind and gentler as Ralsei. Susie even got to play as Kris, hey! But interestingly enough, it was while Tenna wasn't watching that all of that stuff happened. Another sidenote but I adore their little Interactions while playing, and that it really felt like they were playing in their own (I also wonder If Kris was Like angsty the whole time over playing a Videogame as someone who's played AS a Videogame lol, sorry Kris)

Another thing, about Ralsei and Spamton, and darkners. I wonder If He doesn't want His Friends to worry about darkners because He has auch a "self hating" View of them? He describes himself as not being enough to fill the "Hearts" of Susie and Kris with His friendship because he's "not real" but He makes the mistake that He compaires the Heart to the stomach. Susie isn't Flowey, Ralsei isn't an unaware Videogame character to her. His dialogue won't loop, she won't get bored of him. Her influence on him is making him such a rounded character already, the Love He can give her and Kris is just as real as a lightner's love and I hope so, so much that the culmination of His Arc will BE him realizing that.

I also really wonder now how Ralsei viewed himself before Krusie came crusin around (I'm using shipnames now, doesn't mean I mean the ship, OK? Ok.) did He feel anything but told himself that it didn't Matter because he's a Darkner? This shouldn't be real to him? Did He internalized this Sentiment so much that He even stopped really Feeling for a while?

I kinda lost my Point earlyer but this is what I meant with "self hating". Darkner= not real= not Matter so why worry about him

It's genuenly so sad seeing Ralsei actually start Feeling regret and even guild over being Susie's and Kris's Friends now, how He thinks he'll never be enough to fulfil His responsibility, and that He so desperately wants to Join them but can't, while Susie is Desperate for him to, maybe even Just Tell her that he's real, for him to be wrong.

It's also so bittersweet how He asks Kris to buy Susie an icecream and then Tell her it's from him. I of course want to Grant His wish (sorry again Kris) but I hope more that he'll get to buy her the icecream himself somehow. (I just don't Hope that that means we'll have to Control Ralsei now, since I don't want to Take away this skrunkly's freedom too)

Another Darkworld Ralsei related Thing, Susie is a character that Changes the people around her, but, Ralsei's explanations and His Feelings about being a friend at His 1 on 1 time with Kris, He sounded as If the Game wanted to imply he's right. I wonder how that'll be resolved or dealt with...

Last Ralsei theory and the I'll Talk about Him, Susie, and Kris kinda being Precious Angels, ok.

Ralsei specifically tells you that He may Look like a Monster but he's a darkner. Not any specific Monster (though why would He mention Asriel tbh) just a Monster. For me that debunks the Asriel=Ralsei stuff (never believed it anyway, and If anything, the ideal self theory is just far more likely) (also No Joke I thought Ralsei was gonna reveal what objects He was 2 different Times, once with the icecream, and once at the Darkner Lore drop). asgore; the og and divorced to toriel in every timeline. also his divorce was so bad it spawned another divorce.

spamton; somehow divorced in some way to like 6 different characters minimum (jevil, tenna, swatch, the addisons). also became an internet divorce mascot for some reason.

tenna; witnessed a divorce (asgore + toriel), was in a divorce (w/ spamton), and caused a divorce (lanino + elnina). also ended up being an honorary child of divorce despite being an adult tv.

honestly speaking its probably still asgore but the variety of divorce types is funny. honorary mention to rouxls kaard for getting kicked out of a polycule.

I gotta give it to Asgore bc look at him, divorced in every universe, but Spamton is a close second lol
