I have SO MANY questions but I'll keep it to two: world building wise and character interaction wise.

World building wise:

How did Shin become an Order Trainee? Is there a program for that? Did Nagumo just randomly decide that he wants a PA, recruited the most interesting kid in the block (resident assassin esper Shin-kun!) And called it Order internship/Training? (I mean. In canon it seems like only members of the Order can recruit others to join so Nagumo recruiting Shin to be a trainee/unofficial Order member feels possible?) Was Shin recommended to the Order by JCC and he became the first ever Order Trainee? Sorry for speculating and please tell 👀👀👀

Character interaction wise:

I just really want to know. It's important to me! What does the Order's resident softie, Hyo, think about Shin?

World building wise: Yes, there is an Order trainee program. The idea’s been tossed around for a while but got pushed into a thing by increasing numbers of assassins deaths. The order themselves didn’t pick the trainees but they can drop/sugguest a name of young assassin whom they see potential. What happens is that JAA will give them names and information of students who did exceptionally well in JCC to be trainees. An order trainee is like an intern that is to say they’re not a real member until it’s official or approved by at least one or two members. (Bc like you said only the members can recruit and decide on that).

The reason JAA pick some students first because they feel like the reason the order is never full has to do with the order has very high standards so they want to increase opportunity and gave new faces higher chance to join the order. Though the program is very new and so far only Shin got in. The members themselves initially find the program weird and slightly insulting. The trainee works for every member too but Shin happened to get assigned to Nagumo most. They still have to train him often to make sure he’s progressed. Then after some time if all members deemed him unworthy, he just becomes a normal assassin again. However, the order grows to see his potential, appreciates his growth and dedication.

Character wise: Hyo originally acts tough with Shin most. He bosses Shin around and acts all grumpy with him. Though he soon finds Shin to be respectful and responsible (this au Shin is less rash and more reserved). Hyo then quickly gets soft with him and also being the reason Shin gets assigned to Nagumo just to have Shin watching him lol (And Nagumo is aware of this so he trolls Shin a lot).

Bonus: Shin does hear what most members think of him so he eventually knows that Hyo is a softie.

hiiiiii!!!!! im writing to say that i really enjoyed the "the truth" fanart you made (banger title and banger piece imo). mind of i analyse it? the great use of negative space really makes silver feel small in comparison to the coloured background. silver's uniform, the window grilles and the black void all share the same colour, making it seem like the void is "seeping" into other aspects of the drawing. i also think it represents silver's belonging to diasomnia and briar valley, seeing as black is their singature colour; the black outlines and creates the narrative of the picture, much like silver's upbringing forms his worldview and identity ... which is uhhh a bit problematic considering, well, "the truth" the dawning sky ofc represents siver's true origins. he's the son of the dawn knight after all, the very same person that killed his liege's mother, (probably) father and invaded his home. the blood spilt by his bio father stains silver's hands, making him feel guilty. the harsh bright blood-red colour of the sky really represents that, silver's literally bathed in blood if you cover the upper part of the picture but the metaphor wouldn't be complete without the sword ingraved on the window pane (honeslty i only noticed it when other pp pointed it out in tags lol). it once again calls back to silver's origins (bc dawn KNIGHT... knights have a sword... and it's like... a Dawn Sword...), but, more importantly, it symbolized silver's guilty conscience and the weight of the truth coming down on silver - the sword is LITERALLY hanging over his head. the realisation's going to kill him bc it destroys the identity he had for his whole life, recontextualises his entire existance and his relationships with those closest to him. he's no longer (at least in silver's mind) a fellow countryman, a brother, a beloved son or a trusted knight - he's a traitor, killer or a descendant of one. the composition of the painting really highlights his "otherness": he's wearing the dorm's uniform and yet he's standing infront of a window that clearly doesn't belong there. the sword hangs over him like a red flag, screeming that he's "not who you think he is" what i specifically like is the relationship between the silver's figure and the viewer. the drawing is clearly from a third-person perspective, perhaps we're seeing it through the eyes of a more knowledgeable character who knows the whole truth, like lilia. silver, on the other hand, is oblivious: he has his back to the window, an inquisitive (or a neutral, kind of child-like??? its hard to tell) expression and no mouth. the fact that silver doesn't have a mouth imo symbolises he had no say in this situation, "the truth" is beyond his control. it could also represent the loss of his identity

1. Haru Sagara - this silly goose!!! He's literally one of the few ghouls who are genuinely nice to MC. I just wanna hug him tight and force him to take a break

2. Ren Shiranami - totally relateable dude. Kinda not expecting to be one of my favorites but then Ep. 17 came (yeah, I watched a playthrough bc I cannot resist the beach episode). Also that one scene in Ep. 13 where he covered MC's mouth but then quickly removed it (is he developing a crush on her atp?? *gets shot in delulu*). Oh, and he's the nicest ghoul to me since he came home to me twice, and he's voiced by none other than the VA of Kou Minamoto.

Hotarubi - Subaru and Haku may be a neutral but I absolutely love the vibes of Hotarubi (though if I were assigned there, I would probably be asleep most of the time bc of the weather 💀)

1. Zenji Kotodama - HE'S THE MOST PRECIOUS MAN TO EVER WALK THE EARTH PERIOD. I wanna tackle hug him so bad 😭😭😭. It's also funny how Haku keeps getting strays from him lmao. If only his cards would come home 😔

Obscuary - it's okay, I guess??? The gloomy aesthetic just isn't my style sorry. Also, the perpetual night will definitely ruin my time awareness, if it wasn't already ruined.

1. Rui Mizuki - *deep breath* if I were to choose one of the ghouls to date, I'd choose him. No questions asked. I don't care if I'll die if we touch. I'd die happily if it means I get to kiss him (give me more flirt back response for him!!!)

Mortkranken - absolutely the funniest dorm ever bc of their captain and vice captain. Never a full moment with them frrrrr

1. Yuri Isami - the moment I first met him, my mind immediately said "I like him. He's a favorite now.", and it solidified during that scene where MC first held his hand and he blushed. My cute little tsun-tsun 🤭. I also cannot take him seriously at times because of his facial expressions 😭. In conclusion, I love him and his dramatic ass.

Here are my thoughts about character interactions in a HSR/Genshin collab because I would literally sell my soul to any fictional ikemen devil to make this happen (part 1 of many)

-Hook and Klee would be literally comrades/best buddies, and Kaeya would probably enjoy watching them while Natasha and Albedo got a break to talk about science and alchemy

-Bronya would discuss running a city with Jean, probably over tea. I have a feeling that they both like tea that has more of a strong herbal flavor (I've been drinking a lot of tea bc I've been sick recently so I've thought about this fjejfjwjs)

-Sampo would integrate really well with Rosaria and Kaeya as drinking buddies while subsequently giving Diluc another migraine and more people to kick out. I don't think he'd get along that well with Venti, because he would be more interested in teasing and pranking him

-I also think that Gepard and Noelle would have a very sweet friendship. He would help her train, and she would enjoy singing with him, and he wouldn't feel embarrassed singing with her

im not as well versed in All the nxx boys though so the only one i can really share my thoughts about is luke and god......he is so fascinating, under this lens

luke has a VERY strict sense of morality. sometimes his sense of morality is even cruel.

in one of the NXX files, the one talking about that guy who was manipulated (? i kinda forgot the story) killed himself, luke was very cold in his comments, saying that this kind of man was not a good example, was not a hero. this is indicative of his very black and white view of morality. there are the Good Ones, and there are the Bad Ones. no inbetweens. no gray areas.

and yet luke, in his desperation for treatment for his condition, allies with the enemy to receive illegal experimental NXX substance. suddenly, the man who doesnt believe in gray areas willingly wades into that territory

is luke a hypocrite? absolutely!! but i think this is less of a question of "is what luke is doing wrong?" and more of a question of "what has to happen for a character like this to go against beliefs and views?"

it's very fascinating!! i love luke in main story for this, the story really does exactly what needs to happen to push luke further as a character and break him open to see further possibilities
