You like Beedabop ? ;-; I mean I know people like his design but he's really an underrated character in the fandom, I get he is niche and has one map (yet) but he deserves the world fr

I adore Beedabop — while the use of live action dancers and footage is what drew me to JD (thank LittleSiha’s documentation of her becoming a coach), maps like Heat Waves and Wasabi instantly stand out and deserve so much recognition for being done with different mediums. Heat Waves in particular is just so much fun to watch, and it really can’t be praised enough how cool it is when JD completely recontextualizes songs

Granted, alas, it doesn’t seem that elegant to actually dance to, which might be why this guy hasn’t caught on. I’m not a dancer, but when I watched a few videos of other people trying this map, I’ve only found one that managed to pull it off without seeming a little awkward (though everyone who does dance to this maps seems to be having fun at least, and when they pull it off, they really pull it off)

I seriously hope the JD team uses Beedabop in a couple more maps, since they gave him such a heart tugging backstory and fun character design (I feel like “Sunshine” from OneRepublic fits his vibe, for a start). If he had been from any other game, I guarantee he’d be a fan favorite. Shoot if Heat Waves was an animation posted independently online (think Vivziepop’s Die Young, or even Rachel Kim’s Diamond Jack), it would easily be one of those much beloved cult classic videos.

Alas, it’s hard to truly stand out in a game of stand outs like Just Dance. Hopefully one day this guy will be allowed to truly shine

Sara finds Beedabop, apparently alone in a factory, and she slowly grows more and more fond of, eventually falling in love with him. She would go visit him from time to time to check on him, see if he’s okay, talk to him, and keep him company. Even though he’s a robot, he somehow, also manages to fall in love with her, allowing him to discover such love…

Sara and Beedabop who give each other gifts, who share strong feelings for the same things…

What genres of music do you think certain coaches listen to?

i already talked about ruben and polo + my general hc about a coach’s song and how they’re related to it in this post!

most coaches stick with the genres of their songs and epsilon is no exception, he LOVESSSS edm and is a huge fan of kaa’rik and masi’el’s music. same case with urban he mostly listens to older hip hop

bunee is a pop princess at heart ik he’s bumping brat. he also screams the bridge to good luck babe every time it comes on. he and xime also love hyperpop

the chattahoochee crew also loves chappell roan especially the giver

i feel like zoey would really fuck with doechii idk why

i’m just going through my character playlists and pulling out random ones beedabop loves a mix of calmer music like heat waves and maybe even lo-fi but he also loves high energy chiptune stuff and listens to music while working

Maybe while Louise Dials was trying to find a way back to her original Danceverse, she finds Beedabop while trying to find a place for the night, and the two started getting along and later dating

Heat waves is definitely one of my favorite maps in jd 2023.

I like the song so much, it reminds me of my best friend. She was obsessed with the whole dsmp thing, so she also read that fanfic with the title of the song, and I never got into that stuff, but heat waves reminds me a lot of her.

Nithe Long wanted to expand her business, and tried setting up a factory in an unoccupied part of Wasterra. Sadly, she then learned why it was unoccupied, the conditions there were far too rough for any people to manage. A robot worker was sent to help the people working there, but when it got to the factory, everyone had already gone away... Without any people around, and with Long inc. giving up the Wasterra project, Beedabop continues to work on a project long since abandoned.
