Carter was on coffee mug number two as he sat on the back perch with Lev on the main counter, splayed out napping. He’s hoped that despite the blown up bridge he wouldn’t lose too many sales. “Welcome to Radiance!” He said when the bell above the door rang.

Renee groaned when she fell out of the car door, even if in reality she had been shoved by the person she’d hitched a lift from “Yeah, thanks” the hero stated as she lay back on the sidewalk, patting herself for a lighter to give some attention to the bent cigarette that hung out of her mouth. It had been weeks since Renee had been back in New York, the cyborg had physically disconnected her tracking chip from the Livingston Labs tracking systems and had damn well yeeted herself to Mexico. The weeks that had passed were a tequila infused blur for the woman, full of cage fights and bad tacos. The hero scooted herself up into a sitting position noting that her left arm was hanging off and sparking, only then grinning when someone stood over her. “Come on, admit that you missed me. Just a little bit?”

Bored. Bored bored bored bored. Boooooooooore! Jo huffed spinning in her chair throwing a ball at the ceiling. Work sucked. She hated work. That wasn’t true she loved work but she hated when there was nothing to do. She’d had a day of three calls and two of them just needed stupid proof instructions on how to turn a computer off and on. Jo nearly jumped from her chair when the end of the day hit and she ran out of the doors at top speed “Bloody Brilliant!” She said just as someone walked into the Tech office’s front door, probably to ask for help. She sighed and tried not to look heartbroken. “Hello. Welcome to Intuitive Network Solutions. Can I help you?” She asked

“I thought a more visual message would get things moving” Allendra said simply as she walked through the flames that were left over from the destroyed bridge. Her fingers curled as she walked, blue flames teasing around the finger tips “Though I wasn’t the one who set the actual fire sadly. That would have definitely been more fun to do” she then stared at the other in front of her “What? You wanna go?”

a terrible Open Starter!
“Surely it’s been long enough now that people aren’t still surprised that I’m here? Every single day I get at least three people either questioning my every move or just don’t believe it’s me. How hard is it to believe people change?”

Sierra stumbled out of the wreckage of the bridge, having gone to town on it with a couple of the other Villains. Afterall, she still had orders to follow when they were given. The horned blonde fell onto the sidewalk, ash falling off her as her demon form melted away, steam almost hissing off her- yet her eyes remained a blazing orange. It was clear that she was weakened, simply from how she was barely able to hold herself up and the sweat that was running down her face. She gave a cringe as something in her chest twisted unpleasantly. “If you want to live. I’d stay back...” she still spat when someone got close, her pupils disappearing and her eyes now a molten white colour as her anger began to rise. “I can still fight”

Bella was prepping for war. The Shadow Society declaring war on the Heroes Union was awful, sure, but she was itching for a fight. Finally, a chance to throw all subterfuge away and just hit a bunch of villains with a car or two. She wouldn’t just charge out into the streets - civilians were in the process of evacuating and starting something now would just cause a panic. She was putting on her jacket, planning to at least go scope things out, when someone walked in. “Here to lend a hand?” she asked, glancing over her shoulder.

Declan had been looking forward to a peaceful day after finishing his latest case, but apparently the world had other plans for him. The Shadow Society declaring war didn’t surprise him, to be honest. He’d suspected that they’d been plotting something ever since he heard about them. He was wandering the city aimlessly - even with civilian evacuations starting up soon, he sure as hell wasn’t planning on going anywhere. How was he supposed to just leave when things were getting interesting? He glanced around the area and noticed someone that looked like they were walking towards him. Raising an eyebrow, he waited to see what they wanted.

Sabrina tapped her foot anxiously, it's not everyday you get the chance to be a hero. "We have to do something about The Mayor!" We might not be the police or the FBI, but we're supposed to be superheroes. We're supposed to save people and use our powers for good! Isn't there something we can do? We can't just let some criminals force us to disband!" The hero vented, looking around and trying to get the slightest idea of what to do.

Jackson laughed. Nothing was funny, not to the average person anyway. "Leave? Miss what's going to be the most interesting event of my lifetime? Never." He spoke calmly, his accent accentuating his words. The knife he twirled between his fingers gleamed in the light. "Plus, violence is always something that excites me." He said menacingly, a smirk spreading across his face and showing his fang like K9s.

Carter desperately wanted to scream. With an act a war declared against the heroes, and by extension the city, an evac had ordered. If Carter were smart, he’d be shoving all his belongings into a duffle and skipping town. Instead he was holed up in the shop, his kitten on one of the counters, and the shop seemed to shake with punk music blaring from the speakers. He barely heard the bell over the door jingle. “If you’re here to tell me to skip town Thana, don’t bother. I’m not leaving.”

“So, we’re just letting in any old stray now? What was the point in coming back from space to complete bullshit? The fighting I can handle, the drama I can handle, but my family being made to put up with Vigilante pain in the asses that want a hand at the bigger slice of pie when they are as crooked as a Silvorian at a Muntark race? It ruins our good and prestigious name” Eleanor ranted, of course referencing space things as always. “I feel there should be a group vote for things like this, as I’m not above throwing them out of the window for a swift exit”

Thana tried staring at the ceiling, she tried reading in her books, and tried sleeping. But nothing was working. She started working on her power focus. She sat on the floor and focused on the energy. Her hand started glowing her trademark grey energy and vibed with any skeletons on the premises. None, nada, no burial grounds. She groaned, dammit.... she thought. So she opened her books and set out some charms. She then started meditating. That was until the door slammed open. “Dammit! Don’t you know better than to spook a girl!”

Heidi sighed when she was interrupted, the mediating woman sat with her legs crossed in what she had hoped would be a quiet room. She cracked open an eye to look at the intruder “You know, as of late it’s been easier to meditate on this plain despite the noise, because as soon as you go to the ‘Other side’ you get bothered when they realize just where you come from....It gets exhausting extremely fast. But it seems even here I won’t get peace....I need to fall into another realm somehow, even if just for a few hours.”

It had been a busy night for Autumn, the woman grieving for the loss of her daughter ensured that she was busy. She walked from her car, pulling off her leather gloves and then putting them into her purse. The contract killer went easily from one job to another, little did anyone know that there were the bodies of two powered Vigilantes in the trunk of her Cadillac, two kids that should have quit sooner. If anything she was just running a high end Pest Control service. Autumn walked into the coffee shop just down the road from her surgery, turning on the charm as always “Anything on the special menu?” she wondered outloud, before glancing to the person beside her.
