My cc sona would’ve gone to that horse camp as a kid I think. Then came back for the job, and like, you’d think I’d do well with leading the horse camp but no I’m afraid of horses-

really weird thing ive noticed lately re: hermits getting critiqued for stuff theyve said or done is that as soon as someone holds a shit opinion (even if it's just them being stupid, or a centrist, or saying a bad word without knowing what it means, or whatever) people immediately seem to flock to the 'this guy should die' 'kys' 'why are we giving this person a platform' rhetoric and like. that's not how meaningful change is made?

like, yeah, if one of my beloved CCs posted a tweet or video tomorrow about how much they hate gay people, or believe in conservative ideals, or they just said a bunch of slurs or whatever (these are hyperbolic examples obviously) then yeah, fuck them, they should go rot. but like, having some dumb takes, or saying bad things in the past, doesn't = evil terrible person...

idk, i feel like we can critique content creators without getting so insane about it. like, shit, there are things some of my favourites do that i don't like, but theyre not even really worth bringing up tbh. unless its something actually important, i feel like it just creates more drama out of nothing and all these assholes come crawling out of the woodwork to tell everyone how much they hate that creator. or find their content boring anyway so clearly they have no real merit to anyone.

Sammy, Ben and Darius run the shop while Yaz, Kenji and Brooklyn are regulars. Idk if I want it to be their chaos theory selves or camp Cretaceous selves. If it was their CC selves then I’d say the shop was owned by Roxy and David.

Brooklyn is always posting and promoting the cafe to her followers while Yaz goes in after practices (totally not to see Sammy) and Kenji goes in cause he thinks the food is really good.

Being honest, what I truly want to see in season four is Sammy and Kenji crying their butts out to each other. Like I want to see them share all their struggles and shit to one another. I want them to let it all out.

For example:

Sammy: My dad used to be my idol I’ve always looked up to him, I even sacrificed so much to see him and the rest of my family happy but he still pushed me away like I was nothing. I feel like I don’t have a family anymore.

Kenji: Girl I feel you, all my life Ive been trying to make my dad proud but he always rejected me, now he’s gone forever, just like my mom. Which means I also don’t have a family…

*they both cry like crazy while hugging each other*

THATS WHAT I WANT

I love Samji (platonically obviously) ever since their goofy interactions in cc season 3 I can’t stop thinking about how good their siblings dynamic is.

They also have so much in common!!

Both Sammy and Kenji are super humorous people, they are the clowns in the friend group. They love to make their friends smile.

They both lost the first person they truly fell in love with due to the lack of communication and because their partners were prioritizing something else over them.

They both seemed to suffer from anger issues and really bad anxiety. Kenji lets anger and fear control his actions and words most of the time and for Sammy we start to see the same thing in season two when Yaz is left behind.

They both suffer from depression. YES BOTH. We have probably seen it more on Kenji but it’s also starting to show on Sammy too.

They both are lonely asf. Kenji lives in a trailer (Please correct me if I’m wrong I kind of forgot what it was) all alone, the only people he probably communicated with were Darius’s mom and Sammy. Mrs Bowman because he said it himself and Sammy because she said that he kept changing his phone number which means he probably communicated with her enough for her to always know when he changed it. Ben was too paranoid to communicate with anyone, Darius was ignoring everyone, and Yaz probably didn’t talk to him unless he reached out first. Same thing with Sammy, girl had to take care of a ranch all by herself with a whole ass dinosaur, which I’m pretty sure she didn’t mind taking care of Bumpy cause come on is Bumpy she loves her, and also having to deal with a grumpy neighbor. Probably the only people she communicated with were Yaz and Kenji, and you already know what’s up with the rest. Oh and Brooklynn before she “died”

I guess my point is that they both need to speak out their minds and hearts to someone. And I feel like that someone is them, each other. I know for a fact Kenji would listen to Sammy without turning things against her, and Sammy will listen to Kenji because she’s Sammy and she’s someone that tries and listens to people’s problems because she cares too much.

Only reason why she got so mad at Yaz is because Yaz used things like her family problems against her, she also called her names, and wasn’t even trying to understand her side of the story. I’m a 100% sure Sammy would have let Yaz go help Brooklynn without having to break up if Yaz just listen and was more understanding of where Sammy was coming from. But Yaz was trying so hard to change Sammy’s mind instead of just understanding her side.

Anyways, back to Kenji and Sammy. I don’t want to see them forgive Brooklynn right away, and is not because I hate Brooklynn or whatever, I fucking love Brooklynn, is because that would destroy their character development in some way. Sammy and Kenji are finally growing as characters, they are finally showing different kind of emotions, actions, dialogues. Making them forgive Brooklynn right away would destroy all that.

I hope no one felt offended with this post. I don’t hate a single member of the Nublar six, truly, I love them all. I believe they’re all great and unique characters. So if anything of what I said offended any of you somehow, my apologies. Also, if y’all have different opinions I want to see them!

I've been starting to think about how unfair camp fam's life are, from the ending of cc s5 they only had 2 years of living without survival mode on, and after the whole events in fallen kingdom there's just no turning back.

I dunno how long brooklynn has tried investigating soyona's case, but cc finale has showed the starting of her interest in investigating dino related cases so i think the chance of all of them 6 talking with each other post-camp cretaceous gradually lessen, also with darius being in dpw, kenji and his rock-climbing business, yaz and ben in their respective colleges, and sammy with her family (and eventually alone in her ranch) they all had their own personal lives so.. yea..

then one day they did a video call like another usual meet ups they had, with brooklynn being able to participate this time even just for a little time, little did the rest know that it'd be the last time they enjoyed being together again.

atp it's all starting to feel very dystopian (which is really something coming from a jurassic franchise), chaos theory put brooklynn's character in a grey area but really her questionable actions and consequences from the start of investigation til the end of s3 are exactly the results of the world she's living in. it's also established in camp cretaceous that all of nublar 6 ended up going into the mindset of "if no one's gonna fix it, then who else?", they all were so used to clean the mess that whatever those greedy corporations did with their world and the dinosaurs (of course it's one of the reasons why their characters are so precious to me but not going to lie i'm starting to feel really awful for em damn), and what's more tragic is that these stuff did actual damage on them!! from yasmina's growing ptsd, brooklynn and the whole stuff she caught up in, kenji's perception of his dad and in s2 he grew harmful thoughts upon his life, darius THE dino-loving-nerd calling the allosaurus as "mindless killer", ben dropping out of college, and even sammy who's the cheeriest of them all ended up being isolated and away from the people she loved and worse, breaking up with her gf 😭😭😭

and i'm not sure though it's tragic but it gave me some sense of comfort? i feel like it's starting to feel the same as the reality that i had rn, in the world full of capitalism and exploitation they gave me comfort to keep living on and fight it with whatever art i want to create, and what made me truly grateful of these shows are the fact that they didn't ignore the draining and harmful effect on the characters' mental health :,D

for the life of me i cannot imagine how ppl hate so many mcyts with all their hearts. like im a little hater and even then i barely bother posting about the mcyts i dislike. like, if you find a cc annoying or whatever, just dont watch their content... i understand if theyve done something shitty- but if youre just being a hater for the sake of it, idk, it just seems boring to me.

I would like to thank @just-a-fun for their recent post about Darius that motivated me to write a whole angst lore thing ....again.

I really do think that it's a possibility we will get to see a wider perspective of Darius emotions in season 3 because of everything that happened in season 2 especially finding out the women who he had fallen in love with and thought that he was the reason shes "dead" is alive.

In season one we get to see some emotions of grief mostly depression but also we see how Darius keeps pushing his emotions down trying to focus on the whole who's trying to attack us mission. Darius is seen taking lots of deep breaths during specific scenes mostly when him and Ben are disagreeing on something or arguing. Sure it may look like hes trying to be the bigger person and calming down the argument which he is. But there is also a look in his eyes for a split second before he take his breath as if hes trying to hold back his emotions from expressing how he truly feels. Once we get to Kenjis episode Darius is actually showing some emotions that looked like he was holding back like anger and not the same type of anger when he and Ben were arguing about the raptors or theories but mostly when its's about Brooklyn its slightly visible. throughout the episodes we see him show more and more emotions exactly like in season one of CC when the Indominos attacked and he focused on pushing his emotions downs and then in the final ep where they're under ground Darius just burst out. Its show cased in majority of the seasons except in season 4 where hes mostly gone back to his season one self where he doesn't really talk that much. I noticed in season 2 of CC hes trying to be more optimistic and socialize with Mitch and the others exactly how he was trying to do with Zenya in season 2 of CT.

With season 3 of CC we see him display a lot of emotions and in season 5 and in both seasons we actually see him try to push his emotions out. S3 with Ben and S5 with Kenji and then he had busted out on them he fought with Ben and yelled at Kenji so in S3 of CT we can predict that his emotions will be mainly focused on Ben and Brooklyn . And that a main emotion will definitely be anger and betrayal but he will try not to show because he already knows everyone else is going thorough the same wants to make sure they're safe he doesn't focus on his emotions which will defiantly cause him to lash out later on in the season. like in S2 of CT when everyone found out Ben knew we saw the look on Darius face where he was hurt and wanted to ask Ben questions too but realized he shouldn't be focused on that and try to get everyone to focused on finding Brooklyn so they can bring her back.
