I should really make a post abt this instead of leaving cryptic tags and asks, but oh well lol

I thought long and hard one day about these guy's heads and came to the conclusion that, yeah, they technically ARE solid. They're basically solid spheres with a smaller, "negative space" sphere inside that's always visible at the forefront. It's kinda like a camera at the centre that shows everything behind them (except for their own body)

Demonstration in blender

It's mostly visual though, you can't touch that sphere in any way (unless you crack their heads open) so it'd make sense that in the dark their heads would appear solid, because they are! Light can't pass through their heads because they ARE just spheres all around. But that negative sphere makes it look like a donut from every angle

(also I hc that if their heads DO suddenly become donut shaped, it is because their head just. Collapsed in on itself and became a hollow circle. Which would explain why Sec was so bothered by that basketball ring nightmare in the shorts)

Over the course of the next 3 days (from Dec. 1st to Dec. 3rd) I will be messaging everyone with their Giftee's requests! Although I will also say that I am unfortunately working both Dec. 1st and Dec. 2nd, so sending out the prompts might extend into Dec. 4th. HELLO AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO SPECIFICALLY @berryicet BECAUSE I GOT SICK FOR A WHILE AND COULDN’T FINISH IT EARLY… but here is your Mercs interaction! (with a victim cameo i guess they’re just there)

THIS IS MY SECOND MERCS DRAWING FOR A GIFT EXCHANGE! I drew the mercs last year too, so when I got your request, I was like, “Hey, it’d be pretty funny if I drew them a SECOND time just like last year for the funnies.”

This is more NY focused instead of Christmas focus because yeah, I finished this on NY Day. The Mercenaries are ringing in the New Year! A few explosions on the way as a little break from everything happening at work. And Agent got some new shades for New Years, too. They look stupid. Lmao.

(though this was the original sketch if i DID make it christmas focused but I already drew xmas art of them before so oh well here they are anyway)
