Bias Spreadsheet Math
Okay, so I have a spreadsheet for my biases because I have quite a few (currently on this sheet: 27) and I like to keep facts about them stored. Just to see what lines up with the other ones. (Side note: None of my biases seem to line up...)
Anyways, I always have to manually put in the age they've turned. And I've had this spreadsheet for like a few years now. And it's tiring...
Cause I'm lazy & okay with math- I made an equation? So, the =DATEDIF() equation only works w/numbers. While Google does have the function for "TODAY" it wouldn't work in said function.
So, if I wanted it to always solve from birthdate to today. I'd have to come up with a different way, so I'd never had to type their ages manually again. I configured a little 'today's date' cell in the sheet. Thus, dubbing "AB2" as the dedicated cell.
And here 'X' will stand for any birthdate/cell w/birthdate. And years will be represented by "Y." After all, that is what we are solving for.
Thus the equation looks like:
=DATEDIF(X, AB2, "Y")
I'll be the first to admit I love math, but as a person who doesn't like to do the same tedious work over and over... This is going to make a nice difference when I look at the sheet again in the future.
Also, disclaimer: I didn't get the idea for the bias spreadsheet, someone else made the original. I have just made it custom to me. It does have some functions from the original, most of them have been scrapped tbh. Especially because this is my third version of the spreadsheet. (I don't keep up w/a lot of groups anymore, so I made a new one to decrease clutter). I don't know how much of it remains? I do have the link to the official one tho.
Anyways- if you've read on this far- and are still intrigued! If you wish to start your own: I have the link to the original and can also link mine! And if you'd like I'd be more than happy to help you set it up!
Idk I'm very proud of myself for figuring it out. It took me a little bit, but algebra was my favorite in school, so it came with ease! :)
(Also, this post marks: 25,000 posts *reblogs & originals* 🥰)

Me at work: I should make a biteability tier list for the Dragon Age characters
Dragon Age characters ranked by how biteable they are
Tumblr media
Criteria under the cut
Firstly this is assuming that either the bitee has agreed to be bitten, or that the bite is happening during a brawl or whatever idk don’t look at me
Secondly this is not about how much I want to bite them (otherwise Harding would also be S-tier).
Cleanliness: Pretty self-explanatory. Extremely important to me.
Tolerance: How hard can I bite them
Mouthfeel: Also self-explanatory
Repercussions: What is gonna happen to me as a result?

Dragon Age Fandom Survey: Veilguard Edition RESULTS
Before getting into the responses of this survey, I would like to remind/clarify everyone of a few things:
There is naturally bias from the reach this survey had; while I encouraged people to share it outside of Tumblr, we must remember that the vast majority of the responses are still from Tumblr users specifically. Meaning, this survey cannot account for the DA fandom as a whole across the entire internet.
There was a very drastic difference in the number of responses from people who played a different Dragon Age game before DATV, and those who played DATV first. This means there is a sample size bias. I anticipated this, and it’s why I did separate questions in hopes to compensate at least a little, but it’s something to still keep in mind.
If you would like to view the full spreadsheet of all unfiltered results, you can do so HERE.
Anyone who I caught misgendering Taash and/or misgendering Weekes the writer in the comments was immediately disqualified.
With that out of the way, let’s get into it!
PREVIOUS DRAGON AGE GAME EXPERIENCE
Only 2% of respondents have never played any other Dragon Age game besides Dragon Age: The Veilguard (DATV). 92% of respondents have played all three past games. 97% have at least played Dragon Age: Inquisition (DAI).
ROOK
LINEAGE/RACE SELECTION
While elf was the most popular answer for both set of respondents, brand new DA players were somewhat more likely to choose a human Rook, and not a single new player respondent chose a dwarf Rook.
Respondents with prior game experience selected the following lineages/races for their first DATV game:
Human: 19%
Elf: 59%
Dwarf: 11%
Qunari: 11%
Respondents without prior game experience selected the following lineages/races for their first DATV game:
Human: 30%
Elf: 57%
Dwarf: 0%
Qunari: 13%
FACTION SELECTION
The Shadow Dragons were the most popular for respondents with prior game experience, while the Veil Jumpers were the most popular for brand new DA players. Prior players were least interested in the Lords of Fortune, while new players were least interested in the Mourn Watch.
Respondents with prior game experience selected the following factions for their first DATV game:
Grey Wardens: 16%
Shadow Dragons: 24%
Veil Jumpers: 15%
Mourn Watch: 19%
Lords of Fortune: 10%
Antivan Crows: 17%
Respondents without prior game experience selected the following factions for their first DATV game:
Grey Wardens: 8%
Shadow Dragons: 14%
Veil Jumpers: 30%
Mourn Watch: 10%
Lords of Fortune: 12%
Antivan Crows: 26%
ROOK SATISFACTION
Respondents for whom DATV was their first Dragon Age game were far more likely to be satisfied with Rook as a protagonist than those with prior game experience.
Respondents with prior game experience felt the following satisfaction with Rook:
Very unsatisfied: 27%
Somewhat unsatisfied: 21%
Neutral: 7%
Somewhat satisfied: 21%
Very satisfied: 24%
Respondents without prior game experience felt the following satisfaction with Rook:
Very unsatisfied: 11%
Somewhat unsatisfied: 20%
Neutral: 6%
Somewhat satisfied: 19%
Very satisfied: 44%
I wanted to see if there was any correlation between Rook creation options and satisfaction. So, I filtered responses based on the previous questions and found the following:
There was not much difference in responses based on lineage/race
There was some interesting differences based on faction: Grey Warden players were the most to respond with “very unsatisfied” (36%), with Shadow Dragon players close behind (31%). For every other faction, the satisfaction results were parallel to the overall responses.
ROOK COMMENTS
Here is some of the commonplace praise for Rook as a protagonist:
Strong and charming voice acting performances.
Rook has lots of room for players to come up with their own ideas and interpretations.
Rook has great trans/enby representation options both in charater creation and roleplay dialogue.
Rook fits the setting and narrative well; Rook is “the heart of the team”.
Rook has a “great personality”.
Rook was commonly compared to Hawke in a positive manner.
Here is some of the commonplace critique for Rook as a protagonist:
Rook has “no personality” and not enough of a backstory.
Rook has a “set personality”.
Rook does not have enough space to play with strong opinions on critical issues, compared to previous games.
Rook is unable to be nasty/mean-spirited.
Rook was commonly compared to Hawke in a negative manner.
Rook should’ve had more reactivity based on their background.
Overall, Rook seems to be a very divisive figure. It is interesting to see how different people view positives and negatives of Rook’s character in complete contrast with each other. For example, many people said they like or dislike that Rook is a “blank slate to project on”, while many other people said that they like or dislike that Rook has a “set personality”. Yes, those things both came up as things people enjoyed and things people did not enjoy.

Companions feel relatable.
Here is some of the commonplace critique for the companions and their personal quests:
Companion quests lack impact.
Companions lack romantic content.
Some companions feel like they received unequal/unfinished content compared to others.
Taash’s questline specifically received a lot of criticism for what many respondents consider a poor handling of multiculturalism.

Factions offered good opportunities for role-playing.
Here is some of the commonplace critique for the factions and their related quests:
Factions lack any “grey morality” or “internal conflict”.
Some factions feel like they received unequal/unfinished content compared to others.
Factions feel more like a mechanic than a natural part of the world-building.
The Antivan Crows specifically received a lot of criticism for being written as much more heroic and good-natured than in previous games.
The Shadow Dragons specifically received a lot of criticism for being “too passive” against Tevinter inequalities.

The story feels “deeply impacting” and “emotional”.
The story has a good pace with lots of replay value.
The main story features the best quests in the game.
Here is some of the commonplace critique for the main story:
The story has an unsatisfying ending.
The story feels disconnected from the previous games / suffers from a lack of worldstate choices from previous games.
Many respondents are unhappy with the off-screen destruction of Southern Thedas mentioned.
Many respondents are unhappy with the racism, islamophobia, and orientalism found in the handling of the Antaam, specifically.
PREVIOUS OTHER DRAGON AGE MEDIA EXPERIENCE
Most respondents have engaged with at least some other form of Dragon Age media, with the most common being the animated show, Dragon Age: Absolution (57%). This is followed by the anthology book, Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights (49%). Only 13% of respondents said they have never had any experience with any extra Dragon Age media.
TEVINTER NIGHTS
Because Tevinter Nights (TN) established a lot leading up to DATV, I was very curious to see if that had any impact on DATV perceptions specifically. My one regret here is that I forgot to include Aelia in the list of characters who first appear in TN. Whoops.
In most cases, TN readers responded more positively to supporting characters who first appeared in the anthology, than non-readers.

TEVINTER NIGHTS INTO VEILGUARD SAMPLE COMMENTS
“Tevinter Nights painted a picture of a bleak world, but filled with tons of interesting people. Many of them have the same feeling both in DATV and the book (I think only Irelin and Strife didn't, really). Tevinter Nights set up the atmosphere I missed in the game. It set expectations that didn't make it into the game. But it's a must read, especially when plunging into Veilguard.”
“I love Teia and Viago as characters best overall, but did not feel like they were introduced well in game in a way that would allow them to stand on their own the way Antoine and Evka were.”
“Strife should’ve had his Scottish accent.”
“I would have loved to get more of Mean Girl Irelin. She had way sharper teeth in the book.”
“I was really, really excited for Neve after Tevinter Nights, because I'm a disabled woman, and I still liked her in Veilguard but I do wish there'd been a bit more to her from a disability lens.”
“Tevinter Nights had so much more horror than Veilguard even tried to deliver. The Crows were delightfully messy and Viago was so unwell I’m in love with him. They hinted at Lucanis having complicated feelings about his grandmother that I was looking forward to exploring more, but which got dropped pretty much immediately. (The idea that even the prodigy grandson of the First Talon got tortured as part of his training is exactly the kind of fucked-up Crow lore that I expected and wanted to see more of.) I really loved all the hints at weird and scary threats we’ve literally never seen before (the head-stealing monster in the Minrathous gardens??), but none of that got followed up on.”
“As with previous books, there were several characters I found more compelling and interesting in the book than the game. Books have more freedom to do that, to be fair, but Strife in particular felt like a completely different character in the game.”
OTHER MEDIA INTO VEILGUARD SAMPLE COMMENTS
“I think that Veilguard’s depiction of the events of Last Flight and its principal character of Isseya was probably one of the most offensive parts of the story, as it felt like it didn't understand the book or even its themes at all.”
“I enjoyed Absolution and, again, I was expecting Veilguard to be closer to it in tone, themes, and treatment of the Tevinter-related world building.”

NARRATIVE SAMPLE COMMENTS
“Overall I am quite satisfied with the direction Bioware took the story and the outcomes for most of the recurring characters Bioware had in Veilguard.”
“I think the entire Dragon Age series has struggled to some extent with narrative consistency, but this game felt so jarringly different from prior games that at times it doesn't feel like a Dragon Age game at all. I recognize that with a ten year time gap that there are going to be changes in-universe, but I feel like 0 effort was put into helping transition players from the old status quo to the new one (and in fact a lot of the writing erases the old status quo). The sociopolitical conflicts common to the series (like the oppression of elves and mages, the cultural hegemony of the Chantry, dwarven society and their diaspora, etc) felt largely if not totally absent from Veilguard. And also there are direct plot threads from Inquisition that are just never touched on (like the Well of Sorrows choice, to pick an example).”
“I think the choice to place Veilguard in the north was a good one, and also freed the writers from some narrative obligations (it doesn't really matter who the king of Ferelden is). I really liked seeing all the familiar conflicts and prejudices from the northern perspectives.”
“Thedas didn’t feel like Thedas. Nothing mattered anymore. Tevinter didn’t feel like Fenris and Dorian described it in the previous games neither like what we saw of it in the comics/book and others adaptations. Same issue with the Crows who appeared like a found family while they technically enslave children. There was none of the darker themes of Thedas (besides the Blight) so we never got to fight the actual corruption beside the one dimensional black and white villains the Evanuris were turned into. Elves oppression issue was totally ignored too. So much was also lacking due to the lack of worldstate.”
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Some of the frequently mentioned strengths for DATV include the following:
Good balance between open world and linear maps.
Beautiful art design, especially the environments.
An advanced character creation system.
Fun and engaging combat/gameplay system.
Beloved characters.
Thematic consistency (regret, grief, trauma, hope).
Good voice acting.
Some of the frequently mentioned weaknesses for DATV include the following:
Racism and other bigotries present in the writing.
Lore inconsistencies.
Lack of continuity with the previous game installments.
Lack of “political” or “deep” themes.
Feeling “oversimplified”.
Feels unfinished and/or rushed in places.
It’s also worth noting that many people said they consider some of these merits and flaws to be carried over from the existing IP, rather than exclusive to DATV. Like for example, pointing out that Dragon Age has always had issues with racism in the writing.

Human Fangirl Turned Demon Manager
Tumblr media
Human Fangirl Turned Demon Manager (Part 2)
Teaser Part 1 Part 2
synopsis: you’re a low-level paperwork clerk demon who somehow ended up hired (threatened) by a smug, too-pretty demon named Jinu to become the manager of the demon realm’s first-ever demon boy band. all because he accidentally found your boy band concept sketches.
warning: cursing and boys being boys (ugh)
i’m really bad at making accurate timelines so… just know i tried my best. also, same as before! if you’re not yet part of the taglist, you can just comment and i got you :)
Tumblr media
For the next few days—ever since the King of Demons actually approved this fantasy plan of yours—you found yourself knee-deep in demon idol group logistics.
Which was a sentence you never expected to say in either your life… or afterlife.
You’d barely slept or eaten. You’d gone full-on manager mode and locked yourself in a dusty, abandoned hell-office armed with a whiteboard, sticky notes, five sketchpads, and a glowing coffee mug someone (probably Baby) cursed to refill itself with demon espresso. At least… you hoped it was espresso.
The name you decided on for the boys? Saja Boys.
It was catchy, slightly edgy, and translated to “Lion Boys,” which was what you thought Jinu resembled the first time you met him. You’d also assigned each member a carefully crafted idol persona, based on classic K-pop archetypes you knew by heart.
Now, with the group name finalized and their personas set, you were all gathered around a broken table in what was generously being called the Saja Boys’ training room (it was really just a rebranded storage dungeon), brainstorming something even more important—
“What if…” Romance leaned back dramatically, fingers laced behind his head, “…we call our first song ‘Demon Lord Explosion Dynamite.’”
“No,” you said immediately.
Abby jumped in next. “Okay, okay, hear me out… Demon Boys.”
“That’s literally just who you are,” you deadpanned.
Baby slaps his hands on the table. “Wait—what if—‘Demons.’ It’s simple and easy to remember.”
You inhaled slowly. “Do you guys not know any other words besides ‘Demon’?”
They all exchanged looks.
“…No?” Mystery offered.
You pinched the bridge of your nose and took a breath. Then another. This was fine. You were fine. You had trained for this. This was where your inner K-pop stan, human-era strategist, and demon-realm survivor came together.
“Okay,” you finally said, “how about trying one of the looks I sketched out before deciding on a title?”
You flipped open your sketchpad to a page filled with pastel-themed outfits, perfectly coordinated and soft on the eyes. You may or may not have added bunny ear options at the bottom. You glanced up. The boys were staring at the page… then at you… with identical “are you serious?” expressions.
“It’s called a cute concept,” you explained. “Just think finger hearts and aegyo. You reel the fans in with sweetness, then trap them forever. It’s basic K-pop science. I had spreadsheets on this when I was still alive. This will go viral overnight.”
Romance looked offended. “You want me to wear bright yellow?!”
“It brings out your hair,” you shot back.
Jinu raised a brow. “And you think this’ll work?”
You nodded—maybe a little too confidently, considering you were still scared he might bite your head off if you said otherwise.
He studied the sketches one last time, then snapped his fingers. There was a puff of pinkish smoke, and was that glitter? And when it cleared—
Your jaw dropped. Gone were the terrifying, edge-lord demon boys you’d been dealing with for the past few weeks. Standing before you now were five glowing, pastel-wrapped soft boy idols who looked like they belonged in a spring comeback teaser video.
Romance had hearts on the knees of his jeans. Baby wore a yellow beret that somehow made him look both adorable and dangerous. And is it just the demon magic or did he kinda look like Min Yoongi?
Well, now you know who’s your bias if they actually pull this off.
You stared—mouth parted, eyes wide—completely and utterly starstruck. Maybe Jinu wasn’t lying when he said the other guys were hot, too.
For a moment, you forgot you were in the demon realm. You clutched your clipboard to your chest and whispered, “Oh my god. They’re so cute.”
Then, out of nowhere.
Baby turned and smacked Abby across the face with his beret. Mystery levitated mid-air while cradling a mic stand he summoned out of literal nowhere. Romance pulled out a mirror and started whispering compliments to himself that you were absolutely sure should be kept between him and his ego. Jinu adjusted his cuffs while you stared. And then, as if he could sense your gaze, he turned and winked at you.
You flipped him off without thinking.
Just like that, reality snapped back into place. You shook your head, cleared your throat, and tried to collect what was left of your dignity.
“R-Right. So, anyway—”
You flipped your notebook open and started talking again.
“What about a title like…” you scribbled quickly, “…Soda Pop?”
All their heads turned to you. Each with a different expression, clearly reacting confused to what you’d just said.
“Sowda Fap?” Mystery repeated, his brows furrowed.
“No, I think she said ‘So The Fuck,’” Baby chimed in, completely deadpan.
You side-eyed Baby. You couldn’t believe this was the same demon who, just earlier, reminded you of your bias wrecker. Suddenly, your train of thought was cut off by Jinu’s voice.
“Explain,” he said simply.
You cleared your throat. “First of all. It’s SODA POP. Like, you know...” You gestured like you’re holding a can and drinking from it.
They all just stared at you. At first, it was blank confusion—then came the smirks and they all started snickering.
You blinked, puzzled, until it hit you. Your eyes widened in horror as you blurted out, “No! It’s a drink! In a can! Take your minds out of the gutter!” You tried your best not to stutter, even though your cheeks were heating up fast.
These perverts. Ugh. No wonder they were sent to the demon realm.
“Anyway! We’ll talk about soda next time.” You quickly waved it off, trying to reel their attention back to what’s important. “Let’s focus on the song.”
You tapped your pen on the notebook, regaining your focus. “It’s catchy. It’s got this bubbly, effervescent vibe to it. Something that sounds sweet on the surface but has a deeper, unexpected edge underneath. Perfect for grabbing fans’ attention and holding it.”
As you said that, they started bumping shoulders and wiggling their eyebrows. You nearly rolled your eyes out of your skull.
Still, you pushed on. “We’ll build choreography that’s clean, simple—something with shoulder movements and little signature gestures that fans can mimic. We’ll talk about that part later. For now, I want to focus on maximizing your visuals and crafting lyrics that get stuck in fans’ heads like a curse.”
You paused, tapping the pen once more. You looked at them, waiting for their thoughts. They were all silent now, actually thinking it through.
Then Abby whispered, “It sounds fine…”
Romance nodded and added, “Soda Pop... kinda hot.”
You looked at them with a small smile tugging at your lips. This was progress, they weren’t the easiest demons to work with but still! This was progress.
Jinu finally chimed in, smirking as usual. “So The Fuck it is.”
“It’s Soda Pop! You know it’s Soda Pop—quit messing with me!”
As more days passed, maybe you judged them a little too harshly.
Yeah, you were still terrified they might one day turn you into demon soup if this whole plan—all of you had been training for over a month—didn’t work, and they decided it was your fault. Especially since Jinu based this entire soul-devouring strategy on the sketches you made—the ones he confessed to finding after being asked to deliver your reports to the Third Circle.
But hey! Maybe you were just overthinking again.
Speaking of Jinu, you actually hadn’t seen him all day.
The last time you spoke to him was when you asked if he could search the realm for someone with a working printer. Since then, only the other boys had been bothering you—and always for the most unnecessary reasons.
Though, to be fair… some of those moments almost made you wish Gwi Ma would just eat you and get it over with.
For instance, the time Abby decided it was a great idea to dye his hair while Jinu left you in charge with very specific instructions: “Don’t let them do anything funny.”
“What did you do?!”
You screamed from the bathroom door as Abby turned to face you, his hair now split down the middle. Its color is half lime green, half bubblegum pink.
“The fans are gonna love it.”
You stared at him like he just slapped you with a stick. What fans?! You hadn’t even debuted yet.
“You’re not allowed to improvise! We had a concept!”
He spun to admire himself in the mirror, then winked at you.
“You said cute, right? Green and pink are cute, no?”
You tried not to roll your eyes before marching over to him. “Come with me.”
He raised a brow and leaned against the sink dramatically.
“Woah, just like that? I mean, you always stare at me, so it was about time—”
“Shut up and just follow me before Jinu gets back.”
An hour later, he was sitting cross-legged on the floor while you dried his now-normal hair with an old towel.
He exhaled,  then mumbled, “Hey… thanks for not ratting me out to Jinu.”
You just hummed in response and kept drying his hair. He just lets you.
After that day, he didn’t try to sit on you as much as he used to.
Guess that was progress.
There was also the time you saw Mystery just sitting on the ground outside the building.
He was just… watching. Watching what? His hair? You didn’t actually know. You could see him staring upward, but his bangs covered his eyes so completely it was hard to tell.
You hesitated a little before quietly sitting beside him and offering him a soda pop.
He stared at the can, then looked up at you.
“None of you knew what a soda pop was, so… figured I could give you one of mine,” you mumbled. “The delivery guy sent me an extra dozen! It’s not because I—whatever.”
You placed it beside him and ran off before he could say anything.
The next day, when you came back to that same spot, there was another can of soda pop beside the empty one you’d given him.
You looked at it, then picked it up with a small smile. Ever since then, you’d always find a new one waiting for you.
You never saw him leave it.
Yet it was always chilled.
Another one was Romance bothering you for the eighth time that same day.
"Manager~" Romance croons as he drapes himself dramatically across your table. "Do you think the fans will cry if I announce I have a girlfriend?"
You don’t even look up from your clipboard. "I don’t care."
"You’re no fun."
"I’m your manager, not your life coach."
He pauses, then acts like he’s deep in thought. “Yeah, but still…”
You glare at him. "Romance, go to rehearsal and quit bothering me."
He pouts at your words and sulks all the way to the door. Though not even fifteen minutes later, you see an iced espresso floating over to you. You lean forward and spot a heart drawn on the lid with sharpie.
So that’s where your sharpie went.
Inside the heart is your name. Wow, his handwriting is really awful.
You take the cup and sip.
Hmm, so he does pay attention.
The most recent incident was with Baby. You were handing out the concept sheets, each detailing their assigned K-pop boy archetype. As you were about to explain it, you caught him chewing on the corner of the paper.
"WHY—why are you like this—"
"I'm hungry."
"You don’t even need food!"
Baby shrugs. "Still hungry."
He then finishes the entire paper in one go. He smirks at you while you glare at him.
The two of you just stare at each other until you’re the first to break and start your speech.
Later, while Baby was heading to his room, he opened the door and spotted a bag filled with spicy chips and soda pop. He just stared at it for a moment, then opened the chips and started eating without a word.
The next day, while you were sitting in the training room, Baby suddenly plopped down on your left shoulder, startling you.
“I’m sleepy. Braid my hair.”
You stare at him, confused. “Huh?”
He didn’t respond—his eyes were already closed.
You just started braiding, even though you didn’t have a rubber band.
Jinu is walking down the dim hallway of the building, a neat stack of freshly printed Saja Boys posters tucked under his right arm. He had just come back from the human realm—because apparently, all the printers in the demon realm were broken. Like, why even have printers at all?
He’s kind of annoyed. The trip took longer than expected, and when he finally got to the human realm, he got swarmed by a group of girls asking for his “number.” What does that even mean? He’ll have to ask you about it later.
As he walks, he takes one of the glossy posters and smirks. His plan is finally coming together. After this, after the debut—and if it becomes a success—he and the boys won’t need you anymore. He can take it from there. Oh, and your concept book too, of course. You could return to your simple, boring, underpaid demon office life.
He stops mid-way down the hall, pausing at a faded door with a paper heart taped to it. “Manager”—written in pink glitter pen (courtesy of Romance and your pen collection).
Adjusting the stack of posters in front of him, he pushes the door open without knocking.
“Manager, I got the post—”
(Cue dramatic slow-mo as "Everytime" by CHEN & Punch begins playing out of literally nowhere.)
His words get caught in his throat as he sees what’s inside.
There you were—standing in the side of your office, softly lit by string lights and bathed in wind from the broken window. The dusty mirror in front of you caught your reflection as you held a pair of yellow circular glasses in one hand, debating whether they looked better on your head or off.
And for the first time… Jinu saw you in your human form.
Your eyes are clearer, no oversized robe swallowing your figure, your cracked fang is gone, and you’re standing upright, hands fussing with your hair.
You looked…
Adorable.
You're wearing a fitted pastel-pink shirt and a pair of jeans. Perched on top of your head are round, yellow glasses. You’re focused on your reflection, debating whether to wear the glasses or not—putting them on, taking them off, again and again—until the sound of the door interrupts you.
Jinu is staring directly at you.
Your eyes met his, confusion flickering in your gaze. “…What did you say?”
He doesn’t reply—he just keeps on looking at you, which makes you furrow your brows.
“The posters?” you repeat softly, tilting your head.
Jinu finally snaps back to reality, stammering slightly as he tries to reply. “Y-Yeah. The posters. I… got them.”
You smile faintly. “Oh! Good job. Just divide them later between everyone. I’ll tell you where we’ll be handing them out in the human realm.”
He nods at what you said, yet he’s still standing in the doorway.
You tilt your head again. “...Is there anything else?”
You look at him, waiting for a reply. He opens his mouth, closes it, then opens it again. Your face scrunches in confusion. What is he? A fish?
“…Nope.”
He drags the “P” with a pop, then bumps his shoulder against the doorframe while trying to walk away—almost dropping the posters before catching himself with the wall to stay steady.
Without even closing the door, he just leaves.
You shrug it off and look back at yourself in the mirror.
Yeah… it’s definitely cuter with the glasses.

A reporter from the right-wing Times newspaper said: “I literally cried in the bathroom so many times because of the uphill battle of trying to get things reported.” Disgruntled staff at the liberal Guardian have compiled an “exhaustive spreadsheet” with a “mountain of examples” of the paper “amplifying unchallenged Israeli propaganda…or treating clearly false statements by Israeli spokespeople as credible”. Journalists working in TV studios face a similar struggle, with swift repercussions if guests from the Israeli government are asked difficult questions on air. Declassified was told: “The Israeli narrative always reigned supreme and instructed the coverage at Sky News, no matter how inaccurate”.  At the BBC, when it comes to reporting accurately on the nature of Israeli conduct in Gaza, a journalist said “the use of the word genocide is effectively banned, and any contributor who uses this word is immediately shut down.” At ITN, which produces news programmes for three British TV channels, the focus is on “clicks not ethical clarity”, a member of staff lamented. “Tragic footage [from Gaza] is often met with…remarks about how much traffic it will generate, as if it’s not real lives being impacted.”
[...]
“Myself and other colleagues found ourselves frequently frustrated at how nothing could be reported unless there was a response or confirmation from the Israeli army,” the Sky journalist told Declassified. “We know who’s doing the killing, we know who’s responsible, so why must we wait for Israel to confirm or deny before we attribute? We never wait for the Russians; we take Ukrainian claims at face value as the victims. Why is this any different? “Nor was any version Israel provided ever challenged. It was taken as fact, always. I remember challenging senior members of staff, reminding them that Israel repeatedly lies and has a history of doing so. But it was pointless and fell on deaf ears. The Israeli narrative always reigned supreme and instructed the coverage at Sky News, no matter how inaccurate”.

There's a reddit thread on the BG3 sub where the user u/InklingRain posted a spreadsheet they made with all the companion approvals. Super useful in general both for playing the game and for fic, so I thought I'd post it on tumblr and play around a little!
There's a top row with the average approval by companion, but I didn't find that very useful, so I changed it to the count of approvals (i.e. count of approvals & disapproval total, how often a companion had a reaction to something). We all know Astarion gives a lot of disapprovals here and there, but they're only -1 at a time, so no big deal, right?
No. Minsc has the least at only 45 reactions, Halsin at 95, Minthara at 145, and of the main companions, Gale is pretty average at 198, Lae'zel at 224, and Shadowheart, rather opinionated at 258...
but that's nothing compared to Astarion's 406. That's almost 150 more than the next person!!! That's more than Minthara and Shadowheart combined! Babygirl really woke up one day and decided to get in a snit over everything that happens 😂
(Longer post about count of positive and negative opinions, sum of approvals and disapprovals, and some major outliers below. Picture with values at the very end.)
But that's a bit disingenuous. If we look at the ratio of positive to negative opinions (not taking value into account), Astarion's pretty average at 30% (negative count over sum count, so let's call that negativity). This is similar to Gale (31%), Karlach (30%), and Lae'zel (32%). In theory, getting Astarion's approval or disapproval is just as easy as any of theirs, with a 20% bias towards positive approvals. Later companions are weighted heavily towards the lower end of the spectrum, with Jaheira at 13% negativity and Minsc at 9%. As you only get them very late, it's pretty clear that the game gives you a lot of opportunities to get their approvals and thus open up more of their quests and dialogue.
However. We have an outlier. Wyll Ravenguard, clocking in at an indecent 38% negativity! Which really just goes to show, while Astarion is the most opinionated, Wyll has the most disapprovals, making him the judgiest companion of all 🤣
However, this really wouldn't be a good post if we didn't look at the value of approvals. Karlach, for instance, has the strongest disapproval value of -100 (given if you sleep with her and then call it a mistake). Ouch. This is clearly at outlier and doesn't say much about Karlach's changeability of opinion in general. If we look at the sum of positive and negative opinions, this is a very heavy swing, making up 100 points of her total 191 disapproval points possible to her 281 approvals total. Another outlier is Minsc, who currently possesses a 43% disapproval percentage (a heavy -50 disapproval given if you sacrifice him to Sarevok. Jaheira, by contrast, apparently doesn't give a damn, or her value might simply not be included in the dateset.)
Removing outliers is really a matter of opinion here, so I'll only remove the most extreme swings, such as the above mentioned disapprovals.
The otherwise strongest swings are Astarion (-15 for telling him it was a mistake preventing him from drinking Araj's blood, or saying you only wanted to sleep with him, not deal with his trauma) and Wyll (+20 for siding with Karlach during his confrontation with her, which really shows he didn't really want to kill her and is very grateful you stopped him). Halsin gives +40 for reuniting Oliver with Thaniel, which...lifting the shadow curse is sort of his life's mission, and a bit of a unique case, so while it makes sense, I think it's such a unique event that can't be topped by anything else and will remove it. Jaheira give +20 for extending the Emperor's protection to Minsc, and, for funsies, Minthara's heaviest disapproval is -5 for donating to Lolth at the Stormshore Tabernacle. (lol)
I only chose to remove the aforementioned Karlach, Minsc, and Halsin values, as they're all very large swings and rather character-defining or personal to the individuals mentioned, so I don't think it says much about them in a more general day-to-day sense.
Now, using the sums of our negative and positive values, Gale is our most Negative Nancy, clocking in at 37%, which goes to show that while he's pretty average for the amount of things he cares about, when he disapproves, it's a strong one. Next up is Astarion at 35%, and Wyll at 34%. Lowest are Jaheira and Minsc at 7% and 4% respectively, which makes an intuitive sort of sense: Jaheira is old and just over being upset by the players poor choices, and Minsc is an insanely positive person overall. The next most positive companion is Halsin at 13%, which also matches with his vibe pretty well, followed by Minthara at 17%, Karlach at 24%, Lae'zel at 26%, and Shadowheart at 28%.
Tl;dr: Astarion has many, many opinions, but Wyll is the most judgemental (most disapprovals compared to approvals possible). However, when it comes to the strength of those disapprovals, Gale reigns supreme, followed by Astarion.
If don't break Karlach's heart, help Halsin achieve his life's ambition, or sacrifice Minsc, then they're pretty positive overall. Later companions are heavily weighted to approve of your actions, and Minthara is comparatively judgemental, but overall far more easy to gain approval than disapproval from.
If you take the average of all these values and include the later companions to look at as a personality "baseline" of how judgy and how strong those disapprovals may be, then...the Act 1 companions are all dramatic af, which really should come to no ones' surprise, while Karlach is the most willing to give the benefit of the doubt imo.

It feels like there are several different layers going on here and none of them reflect well on Spreadsheet Bob.
He forms a little Mean Girls clique of his super best friends.
He names this clique the dweebiest thing possible.
He does all of this in private.
You might not ever even know you were one of the Dauntless Few.
Did Ferrus? Seriously. When he died at the hands of his soulmate close personal friend lover bro did he take comfort in the knowledge that at least he had been one of the Dauntless Few?
Having gained this knowledge through the act of killing Ferrus, was it in fact the shattering realisation that he wasn't allowed in the Dauntless Few treehouse that pushed Fulgrim over the final boundary of madness and daemonhood?
The clear anti-bald bias of the Dauntless Few also means that it could have been this stinging rejection which sowed the first seeds of betrayal in Horus, Lorgar, and sometimes Perturabo depending on the artist.
In conclusion, the true cause of the Horus Heresy was Roboute Guilliman's formation of the Heathers at Westerburg High School in 1988.

Parkciv Species Headcanons Results!
It's been a few days since I closed the google form to responses, and I've finally finished consolidating all the information into an easy to read format! The post gets a bit long and there a decent amount of images beyond this point so I've put in a read more, if this information interests you - look below :]
To anyone who hasn't done the form and wants to you can find it here. After posting this I reopened it to responses but unless it gets a lot more responses I probably won't post about this form again.
Oh and, before you read:
General Info
In total the form got 42 responses, including my own. Of these 42 responses, 35 answered every question in the first two sections. Six different characters were mentioned with a headacnon that I missed, but they were only mentioned once.
I made a pie chart for each question. If your answer was a joke answer (there was a few of those, they will get honourable mentions later on - because they were funny) or not able to be easily categorised/summarised they have been defined as "other".
Major Parkour Civilization Characters Charts
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: the "+ 2 others on pkv's chart includes: species apathetic + other, I didn't realise the image cut them off whoopsies
Minor/Background Parkour Civilization Characters Charts
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Missed Characters
The following characters and headcanons were manually entered:
Fire Pro - Alien
(Amethyst) Fighter Ally - Cat Hybrid
Purple Pro(/Sonic?) - Hedgehog (with two sets of ears)
The Old Woman from The Library - Humanoid but not neccesarily human (the exact phrasing used was: "same not-quite-human as the old man")
Ice Disc Challenge Gateway Fighter Guard - Golden Retriever
Ice Disc Challenge Fighter doing the Ice Disc Parkour - Black Cat
Trivia and Extra Info
Parkour Villian/Clownpierce is the character with the most different species, ranking in with 20 different options - excluding other - and this did make the spreadsheet hell to organise but I dug my own grave with that one
From a statistical perspective (because, yes, I did the math), Evbo's Noob Neighbour is the character with the most agreed upon species - that being Human. The opposite of Clownpierce and saviour of my only shred of sanity left/silly
Cookie God is the only character who doesn't have a single answer as human. (No it's not EMF or House Selling Master, they both had one answer as human sadly)
Seawatt is the only character with a two way draw between species as a final result. Those two species are Sphynx and Human - both having 10 votes or taking up ~23.8% of the pie chart. Sphynx is also my own personal headcanon that I've never actually seen anywhere else prior to this and was the only reason it's listed, so it's nice to see people agree :] even if it might be due to a bias as the option was listed and didn't have to be typed in shhhhhhh
Honourable Mentions to:
The person who said Seawatt is a vampire. You're the only one who is right, ever (/j)
The person who put The Evil Champion down as a rooster because they hate chickens. That got a laugh from me
Similarly, the person who said The Evil Champion's species is "white" and nothing else
Whoever said "cocklit chip" for Cookie God because haha cock. My humour is very mature
One answer for The Ice Legend being "son of frosty the snowman and elsa. no im not taking criticism at this time". Understandable, but how dare you not ship Elsa with Jack frost from Rise Of The Guardians (/j)
Whoever said Deepslate with no further explanation for The Neo Legend. I respect it but what does that MEAN/lh
The answer "gleep glorp :]" for House Selling Master. Gleep glorp :]
Whoever answered "Woman😱" for Ice Block Master. Your answer lives rent free in my head, Woman😱 indeed

🌸 Unique "TagValueNumbers" - Part 10 🎁 For my "CAS Filters" mod! (Patreon)
Before I do the whole copypaste of the post body, I would like to state that some drama has arisen concerning my "CAS Filters" mod, post release. If you find that I have added a filter for your content to my mod and you do not wish to allow simmers who download your content to be able to filter your content under your creator name while using my mod, you are welcomed to request that I strike your filter from the mod and it will be removed in the following update.

We are now in the post-release phase of this project, which means new filters will be added in "feature updates". HOWEVER, if there is a 9-digit "ID" assigned to a creator filter in my glorious spreadsheet, it can be added to content ahead of the next "feature update".
I will try to provide JSON files for all "PENDING" filters ahead of "feature updates". If I do, they will be available on the Patreon post and any mirrors that permit me to share JSON files.
As always, you are welcome to request any name added to the list, but you are also welcome to request a 9-digit "ID" if one has not been assigned yet, and also request a JSON.
Simmers can also request personalized "IDs" for personal use, similar to how I made one for "my anonymous friend".
Tumblr appears to have a limit for how many users I can @ in a post, but I would like to @ everyone on Tumblr when I create filters for them, as a way to notify you about what I'm doing and so simmers who see this post can find you easily.
I might come off as an egomaniacal arsehole at times (always for good reason), but it's because I care about our community.
I opted to not re-blog the Tumblr OP linked above because it is subject to lots of changes and Tumblr doesn't update the "preview" of re-blogged posts, HOWEVER, you're more than welcomed to re-blog the Tumblr OP and/or this post.
🌸 A UNIQUE 9-DIGIT "ID" FOR EVERYONE:
The 9-digit numbers following your name are to be used in the "TagValueNumber" field for the "SpecialContent" TAG.
Each 9-digit "ID" is unique to the creator it was made for - it is based on your creator name. I made them using a slightly convoluted system I devised in order to ensure that every "ID" is unique and that the filter list in CAS maintains some semblance of alphabetical order. These "numbers"IDs" can potentially be used for other things, but we'll get to that later.
🎓 HOW IT DO, PIKACHU:
If you're well-versed in creating or modifying CAS content, all you need to do is add a new TAG to your swatches - you can do just the first swatch, but you should do all swatches - and change the "CategoryNumber" to "127" (without the quotes), and change the "TagValueNumber" to the desired 9-digit "ID".
For everyone else who is new to this, there are detailed instructions in the form of easy to follow screenshots attached to the Tumblr OP and the Patreon OP, with further text-based instructions in the Patreon OP.
Individual JSON files for Sims 4 Studio for each filter TAG are also available, to make the process of adding these TAGS easier.

Let's talk a little bit about survey bias and other ways surveys & statistics can misrepresent info.
So far I've had a fantastic turn out for my Ghost fandom demographic survey, which has me really hopeful! I'd still really like to see if we can exceed my goal of 200 responses. On that note, it would mean a lot to me if people continued reblogging my survey post, or even making their own posts to share the survey link!
https://forms.gle/8Kv8kq1sHucifEd86
However, no survey is perfect! So let's go ahead and address some issues this survey may have that might muddy the results.
Survey sample size!
First of all, there's likely a good amount of bias simply due to the fact that I am running this survey. I will not pretend that there aren't people who don't like me in the Tumblr fandom space, and I'm certainly blocked by a few people. Likewise, I have a few people blocked myself. It happens! But this also means that there are possibly sections of the fandom that either do not have access to the survey, or may just refuse to participate. I can't force anyone to participate, and the best I can do to help this survey spread beyond my bias is to ask people to keep sharing! I've already seen a lot of new faces in my notes :)
Next, it's important to have a sample size that's actually able to significantly represent the overall population. The biggest problem here is that I don't really know how big the Ghost fandom is on Tumblr! This makes it hard to calculate what an appropriate sample size is. The reason my goal is 200 is because that's approximately the amount of responses I got on my survey for naming the new ghoulette (which you can check out the results here!), so I at least know I can probably get that many responses. I'm no statistician, but if we were to say that there were about 2,000-3,000 people who consider themselves part of the Ghost fandom on Tumblr, then we probably want around 200-300 responses... I think. As I type this out, we have 121 responses.
Problems with data
There will always be one issue or another with the data collected. For one, I've already had a few people tell me that the instructions are unclear or confusing. I may have gotten a bit specific in my instructions in the hopes that it would make clean up easier, but that can make things confusing too. Being confused can lead to unreliable answers, or people just deciding to abandon the survey all together. I don't think I can really go back and change the questions, because it does seem like a majority of people have been able to understand the instructions, so what I will say is this: if you're confused, just answer to the best of your ability! You can even reach out to me and ask for clarification, I don't mind :) I've already helped quite a few people through the survey.
Related to that, I will also be doing "data clean-up," so if there are any responses that "didn't follow the instructions," I will fix them up to fit what I need (ex. fixing capitalization, spelling, or otherwise making responses "uniform") This of course leaves more room for human error, and I might make decisions that may not be considered ideal. To work around this, I have been consulting others while I start working & planning data clean-up, and I will also be sharing the entire spreadsheet at the end of the survey for full transparency. This will include the original responses as well as my clean up changes (on separate pages, of course).
This is all I can think of right now, but I'm happy to answer any other questions if anyone has them!

INFO POST
Welcome to queereads-brackets, a tournament blog where queer books face-off by genre! May your to-read list expand to unwieldy levels
Full spreadsheet of all submitted books from all tournaments and bonus Storygraph challenge of submitted books
The current tournament is: Queer Historical Fiction (vote in current polls here)

The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
Tournament categories are:
Queer fantasy
Queer adult SFF spotlight
Queer fiction free-for-all
Queer historical fiction

Seeding: Seeding is done numerically. Books are ordered based on the number of people who've read them on Goodreads (as that's the most easily accessed quantitative metric), and then seeded March-madness style (1-vs-32, 2-vs-31, etc)
Inspired by some other book poll blogs I really enjoy (check them out!) @haveyoureadthisqueerbook @haveyoureadthistransbook @queer-book-character-tournament @book--brackets
Bracket Details and FAQ
Bracket structure and Seeding
Submissions: Brackets will be submission-based via google form. Submissions will run for one week before we start the bracket. You may submit as many qualifying books as your heart desires. Brackets will be as long and as large as they need based on number of submissions. (unless submissions get TOO intense and I regret saying this and need to come up with a Plan B so that a single tournament doesn’t take a year)
Seeding: Brackets will be seeded according to how many people have marked it read on Goodreads (as it's the most easily measurable quantitative metric). For a series, I will use the read number only on the first book in the series, so that it won’t be impacted based on length of series vs a standalone book etc. Then, I use challonge.com to seed that list according to March Madness format (1-vs-32, 2-vs-31, etc)
I chose to take the read numbers from Goodreads instead of Storygraph because a. Goodreads simply has larger numbers and b. I noticed a recency bias on Storygraph, where books over 10 years old drastically dropped in seed order if I used Storygraph numbers, whereas year of publication isn't a significant factor if I take the numbers from Goodreads
Polls will always run for one week
Explain the tournament categories!
Queer fiction free-for-all: any and all queer fiction, regardless of genre, year of publication, or age category (e.g., adult, YA, middle-grade) Queer nonfiction: any and all queer nonfiction (including memoir, history, etc) Queer fantasy: any queer fiction in the fantasy genre includes any fantasy subgenre (secondary world, primary world, etc) and any age category (adult, YA, middle-grade, etc) Queer historical fiction: queer fiction by a modern author set in a historical time period may include intersecting genres (e.g., historical romance, historical fantasy that isn’t secondary world, alternate history) and any age category Queer books from history: any work that was not written in the last several decades but that contains queer elements by necessity, what “counts” as a queer book in this category is more broad and includes subtext or texts with notable queer interpretations Queer adult SFF spotlight: any queer scifi or fantasy book in the adult publishing category (i.e., not YA or middle-grade)
What “counts” as a queer book?
I’m not going to get overly prescriptive, but: For modern books, something that features queer characters/perspectives/themes in a significant or substantive way. For older texts, something that has queer subtext or a notable queer interpretation.
My guiding principle is: if someone is looking for queer books in a particular genre, would they be satisfied with this book as actually fulfilling that promise?
What about [insert] identity?
Yes. This blog is fully and broadly inclusive of all queerness, including ace- and arospec, polyamory, the spectrum of nonbinary and trans identities, and so forth.
The only thing not welcome is policing or dictating others’ identities
Can a book be submitted to multiple brackets?
Yes! A book can be submitted to as many different tournament categories as you like, as long as it fits the criteria.
If a tournament is running for the (second, third, etc) time, books that were previously submitted may be submitted again.
Can the same book win multiple brackets?
A book can win multiple tournament categories, but it can only win each tournament category once.
For example, if a book wins the fiction free-for-all tournament, it is still eligible to compete and win the fantasy bracket.
However, if we’re running the fiction free-for-all tournament again, then the previous winners of the fiction free-for-all tournament are ineligible for that category only.
What about a book series? Do we submit the series as a whole or the individual books?
Generally speaking, please submit the series as a whole (e.g., “the [ ] series”) rather than submitting book 1, book 2, etc separately.
However, there are times when books are published/listed as a “series” but the books are not at all interconnected and do not have an overarching plot or follow the same general characters. In these cases, it may make more sense to submit individual books.
Why these specific categories/will you do [other genre] tournaments?
Possibly. These categories are the genres that I read most, so these are the brackets that will be most enjoyable for me to run. I may consider other genres or themed brackets, but I may also keep it to my preferred genres to make the behind-the-scenes work worthwhile to me personally
(also if you feel inspired and want to run a tournament for another genre/category, that's awesome, please @ me so I can reblog and boost it!)
Thoughts on propaganda?
There will be an optional text box on the submission form where you can add propaganda if you choose
If you want to add propaganda DURING the poll itself, please feel free to reblog or reply to comment your thoughts!
Commenting or replying directly on the post is preferable to sending me an ask with propaganda for two reasons: 1. I may not be rigorously checking this blog while each round is in progress and 2. this keeps all the info/propaganda together in one place, which I think makes it easier for voters to peruse and consider
Other questions? Let me know!

Okay, so for my own fanfictions, most of which take place post-TOA and therefore post-Percy "claim your children" Jackson and Jason "honor minor gods" Grace, I made myself a spreadsheet of all the cabins I believe could plausibly be at Camp Half-Blood, and ended up with a whopping 270, and there's probably more dieties whom I couldn't find any information on, and some dieties whom I don't believe would have a cabin (ex. Kronos) (if you think I should add someone comment) and decided to paste it here, since I don't feel comfortable sharing my original spreadsheet. I did add the water dieties, even though their kids could also plausibly go to the underwater camp, but I've decided to give them the option of what camp they want. I also didn't copy their domains, but I have the list from my research, so you can ask if you'd like, I'll be glad to explain! Most of my research was from Theoi Project - Greek Mythology, and Brittanica, and probably some others I've since forgotten, so if you know any good Greek Mythology resourses and books, please share!
Here's some symbols before we begin:
* - virgin goddess. I added them because Athena and Artemis already have cabins (and Athena kids by magical means)
" - Dieties whom have faded in the series. Their cabins are more memorials to them.
Additionally there are 2 dieties named Thalia, (1) Thalia refers to the muse, the goddess of comedies, and (2) Thalia refers to the goddess of festivities and banquet

Themes
So that's my list. I don't really have a rhyme or reason for why each number is each, but I did clump together gods with similar domains because that's where they were easiest to find in my research... I honestly think kids of minor gods are very underused in TOA fics, and even in PJO and HOO to an extent. Jillie, my nine year old daughter of Gelus with a contageous laugh? One of my fave OCs.
As for Roman gods and goddess, I'm not as knowledgable, but hopefully I'll make a spreadsheet for plausable godly parents, though unlike CHB it doesn't need to be organized as there's just Cohorts. I don't write Camp Jupiter fics all that often, but it'll be a good resource to have if I choose to.
