I can finally share this! my comic I did for @sonicshadowzine

This comic is close to my heart. this boss fight means a lot to me, and it's the big anchor that keeps me thinking about these two. this moment is so pivotal. this is the first time shadow truly understands sonic and himself. this is where he falls for sonic, and this is where he dies. and he's accepting of it, because he knows maria's world is in better hands with him, the true ultimate life form. Sonic will forever carry this moment in his heart. he'll forever know he's responsible for shadow's death, because he wasnt FAST enough, couldnt reach far enough. he couldn't save the guy right under his nose. it haunts him forever i think.

and then the guy comes back. he didn't actually die. but he forgot EVERYTHING..... that's when it gets very interesting. despite it all, fate has it that they keep butting heads. that shadow keeps developing the same strong feelings regardless of the change in circumstance, regardless of the fact everyone tries to manipulate him. because sonic is the ultimate life form and shadow can't do anything but look up to him.

i love them and this aspect of them so much i made a whole ass MUSIC VIDEO for the big bang just abt this topic (the fanfic that it's based on is so good too please read it.)

Hazard the Biolizard (REBUILT)

Redesigned the Biolizard with a new mobian-esque body! Everybody say hello!

Brief Summary: [After being defeated in SA2, Eggman recovers what's left of Biolizard and reconstructs him in a smaller body, sending him once more to try to destroy Sonic. When he fails to do so, the rebuilt Biolizard escapes. Shadow, upon hearing about this, locates the Biolizard who he names "Hazard" and takes in his new brother.]

He's still fresh out of the vat and getting use to the world with his brother, Shadow's help. The original Biolizard was essentially a mindless animal thrashing about from the excessive growth cause by his enhancements. Now that Hazard is reduced to a smaller body and comparatively larger brain, he is capable of higher thought and self awareness.

Some Tidbits/Facts about him>>

> Hazard is mute but can make an assortment of little noises like croaks, gurgles, and the occasional squeak. He get's along oddly well with Metal Sonic, in their completely wordless communication.

> His eyes are cybernetic and come with tons of fun features like X Ray, thermal vision, nightvision, telescopic, etc. and they change color depending on their mode. They can also move independently of each other like a chameleon, and he likes to do this in front of people to freak them out.

> He's a very affectionate guy but doesn't enjoy giving hugs snice it feels awkward with his life support cables.

> Hazard doesn't remember much of his time as the Biolizard, only recalling a feeling of blinding rage and pain. He does, however, remember his time as Maria's pet.

It's a popular fan theory that the reason Gerald Robotnik chose a hedgehog for Project Shadow is because he saw this mural on Angel Island.

So I wonder now with the release of Sonic Superstars if maybe Gerald Robotnik saw a different mural on the North Star islands that inspired him to make Biolizard a lizard...

all the animals can communicate with eachother in the AU, meaning the Biolizard can too! …and yeah… It’s as depressing as you’d imagine it being…

Shadow is very empathetic with the Biolizard in this AU as they are both outcasts in a way. Although Shadow has very close friends and allies on the ARK, he is overall feared by a majority of those who don’t know him due to what he’s capable of.

But despite this, the Biolizard is envious of Shadow because he’s everything they are supposed to be. Not to mention, Shadow has people to go when he’s upset or having a moment… meanwhile the only ones who aren’t afraid of the Biolizard are Maria and Shadow himself.
