is absolutely bedraggled and traumatized after three years with padawan anakin, and boy!mom obi-wan is sitting there sipping tea like oh did he blow things up on critical missions? yeah he does that. did he insult the royalty on the diplomatic mission? yeah. did you have to start a war to keep him safe. yeah. did he eat a bunch of bugs cause you didn't feed him in time. yeah. yeah, it sounds like the enclosure needed more enrichment :/

exactly. i used to be into choices before discovering rc and from the v beginning (my first ever rc book was theodora) i was floored by the intricate paths, gorgeous cgi and most importantly interesting dialogue and storylines. rc has always delivered on that count but requiem is outdoing itself. we don't just have an unreliable narrator, every single person in this book is unreliable 😭

ive never been so intrigued by a book like this before bc we could at least guess what's going to happen but everything is a mystery here 😭 mc could get backstabbed by cain or be backstabbed by the entire squad or do the backstabbing herself. so many possibilities

(not to be shady but playing choices after this has just been making me laugh)

i'm with you 100%!!! honestly i rolled my eyes when it was first released and went into it very reluctantly because. the way the ending of hs2 blatantly paves the way for another sequel got me down BAD like REALLY? ANOTHER ONE? like pls why won't this shitty series just die already 😭 so i was honestly just sick and tired of yet another book being shoved down my throat beside hs3 (which i bet you an arm and a leg is definitely gonna happen smh)

but hs:r exceeded my expectations SO fast like ugh the aesthetic, the characters, the writing!!! it's literally what hs should and would have been if it wasn't so cartoonish lol especially as a post apocalyptic book like i LOVE that genre and it's being portrayed and utilized soooo well in hs:r

but omg speaking of choices 👀 how's that going, picking it up again? i can't even remember when i dropped it at this point, the downgrade it's been through is fucking tragic
