Her birth was not planned but even tho their mother decided to keep them and give them the best childhood that she was able to give. Her father, "Perseus", was never really there for her family but when her mother passed away he had no other choice but to get more in touch with his child.

With time River started looking up to their dad and wanted to be like him and do thing that would make him proud of her. Becouse of her desire to become the best version of herself in others eyes, especialy their fathers, she joined the army and kept in touch with her fathers work.

Thanks to her affiliations they were able to become her dads right hand and due to her hard work an amazing and skillfull solider.

FINALLY! I have done it been SO long for me to finish this piece! And I want to say thank you to @alypink for helping to color the cake, the season and the colors! I LOVE it!

Okay everyone! Since I saw some of my mutuals done this! I was thinking that I should joined in! With my BOCW OC! Koa Nikau and Ex who is now becoming his wife (again)! Aroha Arehe!

Their first marriage hasn’t been planned ACCORDINGLY since the two just ran off to get married somewhere else. Without Aroha’s family knowing. But since they have their 2nd wedding. They’ll finally have their WHOLE family (mostly Aroha side) to see them getting married!

Koa lets Aroha plan things out but will help out as much as he can. Aleks help out as well to ease things up a bit.

The two do like to have their wedding ceremony outdoors. But has different ideas of where to have their venues. Aroha decided to go with Koa’s ideas. For she had found it very romantic of these two dancing under the decorative lights.

Koa was planning to have their wedding around the fall season but changed his mind since he wanted to make his future wife happy. So he’s glad that he agreed to do it during the Spring season.

They also invited Koa's friends! Even though that the Groom has to tolerate of seeing Adler, Hudson, Sims and Helen. But luckily Aroha was there to calm him down.

The Groomsmen would be Frank, Alex, Craig, Charles and Aroha’s older brother (surprisingly he agreed to this). And the Best Man will be Vasili. Questioning of what happened to Sims, Lazar, Hudson and Adler? They’re just sitting down on the chairs.

Bridesmaids will be Jodie and some of Aroha’s cousins. And the Maid of Honor will be Aleks. Imagined these two women had gotten closer because of them talking about their hubbies🤭 Oh and Helen was with the other boys in the crowd.

Pretty sure the groomsmen (except for Aroha’s older brother) will try not to laugh at Koa’s, not his uniform, HAT. Koa would just shush those guys up as he tried to keep his composure.

Koa will also be blushing to see Aroha walking up on the aisle with her father. Wearing that beautiful dress. He was also sweating so much to see Aroha’s father glaring at him when he handed his daughter to him. (You should know why)

Marynee (Alek's daughter) being the honoree flower girl. And having one of Aroha's nephew being the ring bearer.

Since the wedding couples decided to do their own custom wedding vows. You can say Koa had took this one in the bag. For he had SO many things to say to his lover. About their past relationship, of his regrets, how much he had screw it up and blah blah blah and so forth and so forth. You get it right?

The beginning of the song will be “Endless Love”. Which it is Koa and Aroha’s cue for the slow dance.

Vasili and Jodie will be having a dance battle against Frank and Alex.

Kai (Koa and Aroha's eldest son) started talking to Sims about some mechanic nerd stuff.

Everyone will be seeing Aleks, Frank, Charles, Craig and Vasili having that drinking competition. Wait…KOA GET VASILI AWAY FROM THE VODKA!

Charles will be doing the most embarrassing dance in HISTORY while being drunk. And Ari (Koa and Aroha's youngest son) joined in with him. (Koa had secretly recorded it)

Koa and Lazar was arm wrestling again. And once again, Lazar won. Which he received a kiss on the cheek from the bride as a reward. (Koa was ok with that. He’s fine…I think.)

And after the reception well BEFORE the ending of it. Vasili had surprised Koa with a special tradition of the Māori way. By doing the HAKAS. Which it gives Koa great tears to see his friend who had done it so well. Even Aroha was impressed.

I think that when they were toddlers, heading into young kids, Jodie might have noticed that they're particularly protective of each other. She would notice how Ashley most definitely treated him differently than other kids that she might have called friends whilst at school. But most likely placed it down to "well, they're best friends."

I think Jodie and Frank would have had conversations later on when they reached their teenage years, where their daughter is starting to form into her own person, find her opinions, thoughts, feelings and Jodie would start to notice how close they are.

Again, though she might have suspected something other about their relationship, she just put it down to that they're best friends!

I think Jodie really became suspecting when Ashley brought home her first boyfriend and she took one look at her daughter and could see it in her eyes.

Friends don't look at friends like that, you know? And the way Ashley looks at Jr is very very different to how she looks at her boyfriend - her eyes light up whenever she sees Jr, she smiles more just by being near him, she's brighter, laughing more, goofier and more sincere. Around her boyfriend, she's not the same!

But, her daughter had to figure it out for herself - Jodie would be there to give nudges in the right direction if ever she went for advice, but she left it all down to Ashley to figure out.

ੈ✩‧₊˚ Hello!! I wanted to post something more about my Bell since I'm still putting it all together and decided to share a few thoughts that i had about them!!

ׂ╰┈➤ River always felt the need to be the best at what she does, if she wouldn't find herself doing something blinding or at least not well enough to see accual progress in her work they would feel completly disapointed in themself. Like if a higher power was always there to watch and judge her for everything they did wrong, and make her take consequences for her mistakes later in her life. That also made her have bad luck, she never seemed to be lucky with even the most simple things out there, either she pushed a cup of a table by accident and it shattered on the flood spilling all the liqid inside, or losing her house keys all the time. Something always seems to go the wrong direction for them.

ׂ╰┈➤ River has trouble understanding other peoples feeling, it makes her look mean in others eyes and as if she wouldn't care for anyone else. But that's not the truth, they have problems with showing their true face and emotions before others, even those who they are close with. It was cause by her past trauma and gave her trust issues that reflected on her intreactions with other people. Thats one of the main reasons why they dont have a lot of friends and it's harder for them to get into an accual realtionship.

ׂ╰┈➤ As she was growing up she befriended a bloke and it seemed like they were able to comunicate with eachother without usage of words. River finnaly felt as if she was understood and taken seriously by someone, no bubble of lie was separating them from eachother and she never belived she would be able to find a better friend. Sadly it seems like everyone she cares about seems to get her bad luck curse and something happens to them that is not really pleasing. They joined the army and he died in her arms on a mission, with a bullet in his skull she watched the sparles of light leave his eyes. She never forgave herself feeling as if it was their fault and she needed to become a better solider to be able to protect others.

ׂ╰┈➤ River while in the safe house used to get along the most with Park. They seemed to have a lot of common subjects to talk about together (River also enjoys photography!) They spend a lot of time on talking about differemt stuff as they slowly day by day become better friends.

ׂ╰┈➤ As she though that getting into a intimate relationship would be something she would not experience in any mean time, she didn't expect it to happen as they have trust issues and opening herslef before anyone was way harder than she would have ever expected. But it happened, in the most unexpected time. She surviwed the events of cold war and with time got back again on talking with Adler. He appoligised for the mistakes he made and with that their relation seemed to build from the new begining.

ׂ╰┈➤ River really loves animals, becouse of her problems with trust towards others she has a feeling that animals would not let her down as much as other people around her. She has a girl dog of her own and treats her like their own child. Everyday walks with her good girl pup make her feel more relaxed as she loves to spend her time activly.

ׂ╰┈➤ Perseus as bad of a person he is, he always had a soft spot for his child. Especialy after he took her completly under his wing he kept an eye out for her even if it wasn't as visible from a different perspective than his.

ׂ╰┈➤ River is more skilled in mele fights thats why she has some bigger knife slashes all around their body. She has been practicing hand to hand combat which made her a lot more experience in their future line of work.

TRIVIA:

🔪 His temper started when his father went out to war and had NEVER come back. He thought that his father chose work over his own family. And that makes him angry so much that it causes an argument with his mother. Who was DEFENDING her husband. So he ran away at the age of 15.

🔪 Koa never dated another woman after that divorce he took. He wanted to but yet, he had a feeling for that ONE specific lady that he wished to get back to. And doesn’t know if she’ll take HIM back.

🔪 He is the CHAMPION of arm wrestling. No one in the base could beat him! (Unless you tired him out. Lol.)

🔪 He use to drink LOTS of alcohol when he was married AND after getting a divorced. But ever since he joined the army and after his Colonel had helped him out. He drinks tea. Still drinks alcohol but not much as he use to.

🔪 Koa is an excellent hunter. Knows how to be stealthy and knows when to strike. His Uncle taught him every weekend.

Background Story:

(WARNING: Might mention about Abused and Suicide)

Koa was born and raised in Queenstown, New Zealand. On July 31st, 1934. He was his parents' pride and joy ever since he came into this world.

Around 1939, his father had left to join the army. Fending off the Nazi Germany with the United Kingdom. He was 5-years-old. Leaving his mother and him behind. 

And when Koa had turned 15-years-old. He kept questioning his mother very impatiently about when his own father would come back. Of course, he’s out there trying to protect their home. But Koa sounded pretty selfish enough that he thinks his own father wouldn’t even CARE in the world for his own family. His mother tried to reassure and reason with her son but because of his selfishness. He fled away from home. Not even looking back which hurts his mother’s aching heart. He fled from Queenstown, using his birthday money, to another place to stay. It’s still in the same town but he lived FAR away from where he used to live.

During that same year he ran away. He already got a decent part time job as an assistant in a mechanic shop. Surprisingly it was his Uncle (his dad’s brother) who owns the garage shop. He already told him about him running and he begged him to let him stay. Which the Uncle finally gave in and let him work for him. And had taught Koa as much as he could for him to stay home for homeschool lessons. Which he did pretty ok. And his Uncle would always take him hunting every weekend. That is their way of taking breaks. And when Koa was ABOUT to turn 16 the next year. His Uncle sadly passed away from illness and it really upset him that he has to lose another member of his family.

So after a few months, Koa is still working at the shop and that was when he met a woman who brought in a car with her older brother. He suddenly fell in love at first sight. And surprisingly so does she. The two often see each other from time to time and he found out that her name is Aroha, meaning “Love” in Māori. And Koa had decided to have the courage to ask her out. Which she gladly accepted but not her father. Her father had told Koa to never see his daughter again. He even gave him so much money for him to do so. But Koa didn’t. And so, he told Aroha to run away with him. He’ll leave his job to get a new one so they can live somewhere else. She hesitated at first but trusted him as the two already ran off without her family knowing. They have moved into Frankton. And decided to get married once they settle in.

Which they didn’t yet because of bylaws with the age. Koa was still 16 and Aroha was only 14. So they decided to wait until they’re old enough to get married. Koa was having a hard time to find a job that has good money in order for them to survive. But it’s even much harder when Aroha found out that she was pregnant. So Koa has to find a job FAST. And good thing that there were mechanic shops around. Since his past experience of working with his Uncle’s shop. He got hired as a mechanic and got paid pretty well. And started to take care of his family.

In July 1955, Koa and Aroha had finally gotten married LEGALLY in a court. With their two children besides them. The daughter is named Hana (5-years-old) and their baby son is named Kai (3-years-old). They have finally had their happy ending.

Until 1960, Aroha had gotten news that she’s having another baby. Which Koa was getting annoyed of and seeing their tight budget. So the most unusual words that he told his wife is to get RID of the third one. Which Aroha didn’t. And that’s when things got a bit violence from him. Koa had already been slapping Aroha across the face many times and was about to get rid of it himself. Until he finally gave in when his wife had begged him to let their unborn child live. So he did but it’s on HER now.

Ever since their third child was born, Koa has been going out with his coworkers. Drinking, hanging out and coming home late. Which really upsets Aroha. So once she confronted him, he was getting pissed off at her and yelling at her that it was HER fault. Arguing with her leads to violence. By being beat up and hitting her right in front of her two kids and the baby.

So they’ve been dealing with his anger issues for 5 years and it’s not getting any better. Almost every time he went out for drinks with his friends. He will always come back home in a VERY bad mood. So his wife and his children stay quiet. He even brought his friends into his own home. Without even thinking. Aroha was very uncomfortable at this because their kids were around but she can’t argue with him. Afraid that he might beat her up again.

That same year, Koa had come back home after drinking with his friend that night. And he suddenly heard his wife screaming. Instead of being annoyed by that scream. He suddenly felt his heart was racing. As if he felt something was wrong. So he ran through the house and went into the backyard where he heard his wife scream. And then froze at where he was standing. Saw his daughter had hung herself on the tree with the rope around her neck. His heart ached as he cried when he realized what he had done. She died at the age of 15. And that’s when Aroha had enough as she demanded a divorce with him. And she’s taking their two sons with her. He didn’t argue and just signed it before watching his family pack up and left.

Still the same year, Koa was still being a miserable man as he always was. Drinking so much, fighting in the bar and getting kicked out. Being jobless as well. He was so hopeless and was still living in the same old house where him and his family lived. He was just being drunk until he heard the door knocking. And when he got to the door, he saw a man in a uniform. A uniform he’s wearing for the army. Koa was confused as to why this man was here. This soldier introduced himself as Lieutenant Tāne Arapeta of the New Zealand Army. He wanted to recruit Koa to join the fight against Vietnam. His answer was obviously a NO. But when he heard this man mention his father. He found out that his father was a good friend of his back in the war where he went to. The two sat down and talked about it. Koa has been told the reason why his father hadn’t come back home was because he already passed during it. And he was trying to find his family to tell them the news but disappointingly he didn’t find them. Until one his father’s relatives had told him that they heard he already fled further down in town and it took a while for him to find Koa. And now here they are. Tāne had been telling him about his father being a great soldier. And he wished to come back home to meet the two of them again but…sometimes life wasn’t always so great to get what you wanted.

After some thoughts, Koa decided to join the army with the Lieutenant. And through some training after a few months. Koa has been chosen by Tāne to take his team of the SAS. To assist the Australian SAS Squadron at Nui Dat in 1966. That is how he met Craig (@kaitaiga OC) who is in charge of his own team. But only for a while when Craig had told him that he’s off to assist someone important which he can’t tell him because it’s classified. Koa understands and wishes him luck while he continues leading his men to fight and assist.

Until 1971, that is the year of the ending of the Vietnam War. Which means, Koa can go back to New Zealand. And he thinks that would be a great time to see his mother. But…he had found out that his mother had passed away a long time ago. Which pained his heart. And decided to live in his mother’s old house.

COLD WAR

A bit fast forward to 1981.

Koa had been serving in the New Zealand Army for a LONG time. And he had led his team to great victory through countless battles. Which led him to be the Captain of the NZ Army. And that’s when he caught the attention of the CIA.

Tāne, who is a Colonel now, had informed Koa that their General received a call from the US states. Asking for his assistance. Which is a surprise for him that someone from the US actually called a simple Māori man to help out. So he agreed to do this task and immediately left.

And joined in to meet the team in the safehouse.

Arthur's Note: Just to let you guys know. I made Koa's backstory as the inspiration from that movie that I've watched long time ago. Which it is called "Once Were Warriors".
