Ok but warden Pearl is so fitting. With all the decked out and two (at least?) shrieker dorbells and killing wardens for fun and dragging them on the surface I'm actually surprised that warden Pearl is not so common!

ranting abt Life Series/Hermitcraft species types cuz I’m bored

Warning: most of this is headcanons!!

Hermitcraft

Moss Man (Bdoubleo100) - I can see him being like a glare, short and loves moss

Convex part 1 (Cubfan135) - Vex on Hermitcraft but I headcanon him being a warden on Empires cuz of the shulk thing that happened

Goat Man (Docm77) - Creeper, Goat, and Robot without any humans parts, he has horns, front legs, and ears of a goat. I headcanon him having the back legs of a Creeper cuz Creepers have four feet. Half of his face along with half his torso and one arm being part robot, along with on of his horns and on his back legs, the right foot is robotic

A Canadian with secrets (Ethoslab) - Mostly human but on rare occasions I make him a winter fox, mostly just for season 9, but other than that he’s human

One of the more stable Hermits (FalseSymmetry) - Part eagle having the wings, sometimes I’ll have her have eagle legs or human legs but I prefer just the human legs most times

Girlboss Canadian with 3 dads, Geminislay (Geminitay) - Deer mostly but in the Life Series I headcanon her to be a bull, mostly cuz of Wild Life and I feel like she would be cooler like that. I’ll also sometimes have bull Gem when she’s not on Hermitcraft just to be silly

Out of Context Deserted Hippie, Convex Part 2 (GoodTimesWithScar) - Vex for the most part but during Life Series I feel like he would just be human, but specifically for Double Life I feel like he would be part Jellie Cat, have four legs just like a cat, like a human-cat-centaur thing

Deserted lore parrot (Grian) - 100% a parrot at all times but because of the watcher thing he is able to make his wings and head wings purple

Silly guy (Hypnotizd) - Human for the most part but sometimes I’ll give him a tail bc I think it looks nice

Blue Slimecicle (iJevin) - Blue Slime when good, Green Slime when bad

Married couple part 1 (ImpulseSV) - Demon bc I love demon imp

A Guy and his Puppet Boy (JoeHills) - I headcanon there are two joes, the human one, H!Joe, and the puppet one, P!Joe. P!Joe is alive bc Xisuma messed with his coding one day bc Xisuma wanted to see if he could make animate things come alive. Unfortunately, P!Joe is only alive in Hermitcraft since that was the only place Xisuma messed with his code at. P!Joe did go to Empires SMP with H!Joe but he was just hanging in H!Joe’s backpack the whole time. So you could imagine the empires members’s reaction when P!Joe suddenly ran up to them and hugged Shelby’s leg.

Dracula does Redstone (Mumbo Jumbo) - Vampire bc this man would rather stay inside with his Redstone contraptions than go outside

Australian Girlfail (Pearlescentmoon) - Mostly a wolf for me but the moth one I like bc I just like moths and I think her being one makes a lot of sense. I also headcanon her to be a watcher

Gooiest Boy, best king (Rendog) - Do I even need to say it??

Old married couple part 2 (Skizzleman) - Angel bc Demon n Angel ImpnSkizz lives in my mind rent free

Wife Lover and Etho Obsessor (Smallishbeans) - Mostly an ogre but season 9 he’s a tanuki bc it fits so well with his base and I just love Tanuki Joel. He would be a bull in Wild Life cuz Bull Gem n Bull Joel

Of the tek variety (Tangotek) - Blazeborn, hair is always on fire but I headcanon his whole head to be on fire when he’s furious, and while working/living in colder temperatures, his fire is blue and after spending so much time on decked out, there’s always a hint of blue in his hair fire now, and one of his eyes and a pupil are both blue

Hermitcraft: We have the Beef (VintageBeef) - I don’t know much about him but I know him enough that I feel like he would be a bull 100%

Golden Knight (Welsknight) - Human

Thought it was xP at first (xBCrafted) - Don’t watch him as often but I love him being a guardian and it lives in my head rent free

Looks like could you, is a cinnamon roll (Xisumavoid) - I mostly see him being a dragon, maybe an enderdragon. But I love Axolotl Xisuma too but I feel like Axolotl Xisuma would be a different person to Xisuma like Evil X along with Bee Xisuma. So I feel like there would be Xisuma, Evil X, Beesuma, and Axosuma would all either be different AUs or Siblings, I like the siblings aspect but it changes for me.

Sheep Boi (Zedaph) - Sheep boi <333

ive been thinking alot about impulse and skizz as characters recently (and my headcanons are very much inspired by some amazing writers in this fandom)

and to summorize i believe skizz was an angel (i have an ask on "oddly specific hc hcs" where i go on about how angels and watchers were created by The Coders and such but thats not important. the only thing we have to grab from that is that neither angels, watchers not coders are religious deities. but they are not a Player either) who have served his purpose but wasnt meddling among the players for most of his existence. he observed from affar but never parttook

and impulse was just one of the species of the nether. i think imps might have created societies around the same time piglins did, but instead of focusing on gold they focused on metal and redstone to create machinery. (so tango the blazeborn, technoblade the piglin and impulse the imp are all just neighboring societies in the nether. they are not Players tho)

so. we have an imp and an angel, for most of their lives Knowing Of players but not exactly participating. but they started to join the players, trying to understand the overworld and the creation and magic of the enchants at around the same time. they actually met then. when skizz decended and just happened to meet impulse traveling

the thing is tho, impulse immediately joined an smp. sure hermitcraft is not Exactly "just players" most of the hermits are some sort of a hybrid or a magic being, but most of hermits grew up among the players, and impulse had an easier time learning

skizz? skizz met his buddeh. found a suit. and almost immediately took it off to on naked and scared worlds. sure he learnt how to craft and create and be in his single players worlds, but he wasnt apart of any player groups

(in my story n&s came way before legacy smp)

so. skizz first introduction and being a players with another person is SURVIVUNGIN REALLY HARD CIRCUMSTANCES. TIME AND TIME AGAIN. sure its not like he was forced to it was a fun challange to do with his best friend, but Are We Sure just-fallen-out-of-the-sky-skizz-who-basically-served-as-derp-police-for-most-of-his-existance... im-just-looking-after-the-players-who-mess-with-the-code-skizz KNEW what and smp can actually be. are we sure

i think, this is... an interesting thing to think about. how it may have affected skizz's participation in the life series. how it affected his first ever time joining an smp. can this explain many things about why he still gets to be amazed by simple things players do

I have thought of Last Life Scar as a snow leopard before so that's a definite answer for that, but I'll have to sit here and think about the other ones.

I guess I should come up with something different for 3L Scar? Idk I'll say blazeborn to keep the tail.

Maybe for Limited Life he could be an epiphile iblis plutonia butterfly (It has blue and orange wings, would really fit his LimL fit), just because.

For Secret Life I'm gonna go with imp, since the Secret Keeper made him the villain and villains are associated with devilish things sometimes.

As for Wild Life, red Lahore Pigeon. Those things r so cutesy and I love them so much

(honorable mention for the VR Real Life series, Thornling. I love Thornlings and he was such a creature that episode.)

What are the Hermits?

I also made up species cause I have no idea what “Voidwalker” or “Blazeborn” mean

Bdubs: Human / Dreamer / Shade

Technically human but has inhuman properties and is pretty uncanny valley! Was a sun god that one time

Cub: Vex

Has illusion magic that allows him to disguise himself as human, and occasionally as other players. Was infected by Skulk for a bit

Doc: Creeper / Goat / Robot

Exactly what it says on the tin! Also grows tomato vines around his horns sometimes

Etho: Phantom / Glitch

Most obviously a Phantom, and has bony wings. He’s also a glitch in the game and will warp himself and his surroundings a little bit. The part of his face covered by his mask is skeletal. Might also be a failed clone?

False: Eagle

Gem: Not-deer

Seems like a normal deer player at first glance, but there’s something a bit uncanny about her

Scar: Human / Vex

A Vex, although he’s not a full one like Cub. He usually stores his magic in crystals

Grian: Magpie / Watcher

A pesky bird to his core. He’s also pretty eldritch and very powerful when he wants to be

Hypno: Beetle / Hypnotist

Normally keeps his wings hidden, and most of the time he looks human enough. Has strong magic and is another resident of the uncanny valley

Jevin: Slime

Impulse: Imp

Has magic, although it’s not very strong

Skizz: Angel

Can switch from humanoid to biblically accurate, and likes to use that ability to mess with his friends. Quite a bit more powerful than Impulse

Iskall: Cyborg

Joe: Poltergeist / Eldritch

Not really undead or technically a spirit, since he was never alive or had a spirit in the first place. Can basically do whatever he wants, he is Joe Hills after all

Keralis: Puppet / Eldritch / Body-snatcher

Puppet possessed by an eldritch entity. He’s capable of taking over bodies and effectively banishing the host into the nothingness, although he hasn’t done so in a long while

Mumbo: Human / Vampiric

Despite being a vampire, he doesn’t drink blood, he just gets really bad sunburns sometimes

Pearl: Moth / Lunar

Has a strong connection to the moon and the markings on her wings change with its cycle. She was also a Glare while she was the cleaning lady

Ren: Werewolf

Stress: Butterfly / Fae

Very powerful, although she doesn’t use her magic for much more than helping plants grow, although those plants usually turn out pretty weird

Tango: Fire being / Lunar

A being originating from fire itself, and was connected to Decked Out 2 for a while, which was some sort of eldritch parasite. After Season 8, he became a Lunar, although he’s not very happy about it, and most of the others don’t know about it. Has four arms sometimes, but no one knows how the extra arms get there or where they go afterwards

Beef: Minotaur

xB: Sarcastic fringehead

A type of fish! He might also have a few soul stealing properties

Xisuma: Undead / Robot

Spirit inside of a robotic suit. He’s had multiple forms, including being a bee, an axolotl, and a dragon

Zedaph: Satyr / Moth

He can summon himself some cool rosy maple moth wings

Cleo: Undead

As her name suggests, she’s specifically a zombie

the way this is set up is:

I need to Yap for a second about my Nether lore. Specifically blaze stuff because I was doing Tango lore this morning

While they're seen as quite aggressive, blazeborns have quite close-knit societies. Most blazeborns have big families as well, but that depends on their area. Tango, for example, has a small family for blazeborns, but quite large for loads of other species.

They have three main languages; Blaze, Basic Netherian and Blaze Netherian (which is technically a dialect of Netherian (aka Basic Netherian))

The thing about Netherian is that every dialect is very different. Where usually, dialects are considered the same language, Netherian dialects aren't. Tango has tried to learn more dialects, but he would just get confused and mix words up, so he just speaks Blaze and Basic.

Most netherborns don't speak English. Usually it's just the ones who go to the Overworld who learn basic English, and they pick up more complex stuff from people over there. Tango was taught basic English before going to the Overworld, but he also taught himself more than what the course covered before he ever went near a portal.

Impulse is netherborn, but was raised in the Overworld. He would call English his first language, even though he grew up speaking Netherian at home.

You know that one gigs phasmo clip where imp and skizz made scar swear? Yeah impulse and tango do that to other people by pretending it's Netherian. Sometimes they do it by accident when trying to get them to say a genuine Netherian word. This other person is usually Skizz.

GREATER AND LESSER DOES NOT EQUAL A CLASS SYSTEM IN THIS AU, GREATER/LESSER IS ONLY DETERMINED BY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HYBRID, NOT THE OVERALL VALUE OF THE INDIVIDUAL.

There are two types of hybrids in the world; Greater and Lesser.

Greater hybrids are fully anthropomorphic, resembling the creature they are the hybrid of on two legs. An exception to the two-leg rule would be Creeper hybrids, having a similar structure to centaurs.

As long as the hybrid does NOT have the head of the creature they are the hybrid of, they are considered Lesser. These hybrids are more common.

- impulse has a lot of secrets that only he thinks only skizz knows but the other zits have figured out but keep private becuase of how closely guarded and private the secrets are

- skizz tried teaching impulse how to play the piano but impulse didn't like it because of how it sounded

- impulse does origami

- despite seeming extroverted impulse is actually an ambivert and on bad days he becomes very quiet and introverted and only skizz can talk to him without it becoming too much for him

- the i on impulses shirt was originally a mustard stain that was from when skizz ran into him full speed with a hot dog. impulse decided he liked the look and made it his permanent style

- tango has, and will, hijack impulses bed becuase imps are warm and, even though he's a blazeborn, he still gets cold

Impulse headcanons

- Skizz taught Impulse how to make bracelets and jewelry in general

- Impulse loves playing drums and it can calm him down.

- Impulse and Skizz once started a revolution in their school

- Impulse will eat amethyst and no one knows why

- Impulse has venomous claws, he has accidentally poisoned some of his friends because of this, he feels really guilty

- Impulse always gets excited when Autumn rolls around

- Impulse generally just liked colder weather because colder weather means more cuddles

- Impulse can cook really well, but he can't bake to save his life

- Impulse somehow tamed a few Phantoms back in season 8, and now keeps them as companions in the caves.

- impulse is an extremely light sleeper and can’t sleep unless it’s completely silent

- impulse gives the best hugs out of everyone on the server

- Impulse has a code word that tells ZITS that he’s overworked and wants cuddles

- Impulse makes him and gem pancakes and pearl waffles, and the two argue about which is better. Impulse dosn't care

- The ‘S’ in ‘impulseSV’ stands for ‘sugar’. Back in season 8 of Hermitcraft, Impulse experienced the wonders of making candy

- Impulse only allows team ZITS to touch his tail because it's really sensetive (he is getting better at also allowing hermits)
