At the link above is a 45 page condensed PDF sample of the upcoming 300+ page Mortasheen TTRPG Core Rulebook. This condensed sample contains just the following:
-The Biotypes (player races)
-The College of Genetics location and its Dean
-The Runoff, a sample adventure locale in Mortasheen City
-An explanation of the "Green Goo" that Mortasheen runs on
-24 monster pages, some of them still never before seen by anyone but the original Kickstarter backers, from a planned final count of 152 monsters.
No gameplay instructions, but monster pages retain their statblocks for you to look at.
All full color artwork in this sample is by myself or by @revretch, while pixel sprites are by hashtag_underscore, beachboogyman, myself, and Pokemon: Quarantine Crystal's @latenightagain !
Any money from this zine-sized digital preview will go partially into everyday survival and partially into improving the print quality of the final book. Its kickstarter print budget is still with me, but only covers a just-average quality for the book's first run! There are still better paper weights and color options to consider! After that print run finishes and ships out to all 2020 backers, that final book will go up for public purchase, maybe by the end of this year (2024) if everything works out.
Boost and spread this if you can; I've worked on Mortasheen as a personal world building project for over twenty years, and the coming RPG release is a project that took multiple people at least fifteen years.

Does your post about wasps and beetles and moths also include guinea worms? Or are we still ok to eradicate those? They evolved specifically to only reproduce by causing painful lesions on human feet, though we've put enough selection pressure on them that they now infect dogs and cats as well.
They are not a major food source for any organism that we know of. They are not a keystone species of any ecosystem. Do they have intrinsic value, so that we should let them live to keep infecting people without access to clean water? They aren't doing anything for the ecosystem.
This is the kind of topic biologists with PhDs spend years writing research papers about, and I don't see you offering any grant money.
Also, I'm not sure if the blog was enough of a clue, but I specialize in Accipitriformes. I'm a really weird person to ask this to. You'd probably be better served asking @bogleech or someone similar.
Final aside... the original post specified pollinators so uh. No? I guess? It would not include this apparently non-pollinator species. No comment on whether I would personally choose to wipe it out because I don't have a god complex, but the post was about an entirely different taxonomic field.

I spent like 20 dollars in quarters trying to get one of these. I looked afterward and there was like 3 in there and the rest was like literally colored rubber bands or bouncy balls. I just wanted a colorful magboil :(. sidetone, do you think that their head friends are just plain beads, or like snail eggs or those deep sea giant ostracods.

Hey what do you know about Avo and Cada (or was it ava and Cado??) because I found those cartoons almost a decade ago, before the SLOP was even a known concept, but they definitely appeared to be something that started out kind of humble and sincere before devolving into click bait. They continued to be pretty cute but all the hallmarks of the current content farm style were there
oh oh oh!! i can tell you right now, the channely you're thinking of is Avocado Couple which is owned by TheSoul Publishing!
you may know TheSoul Publishing for such hits as 5 Minute Crafts, Bright Side, and other slop!
i'm sure what you remember of the series is accurate, because a lot of TheSoul's work started out pretty humble and not that crazy.
TheSoul Publishing owns three animated farm channels, Teen-Z, Avocado Couple, and Baby Zoo
looking at Avocado Couple's channel, you can clearly see some hallmarks of TheSoul's "life hack" style that's often ripped off by the likes of Troom Troom. this exact style is often used for 5 Minute Crafts and 124 GO!
my thoughts overall are that TheSoul's animated selection is relatively inoffensive and, unlike 5 Minute Crafts, does NOT need to supply every single employee of the channel with their own personal fire extinguisher

I actually knew about a certain plastic skeleton creature as far back as July, but was waiting all month to gush about as my "end of August" Halloween post.
It is NOT this magnificent skeletal moth, which I discovered only Mid-August, but that's here too. If you haven't already guessed what it is, go ahead and follow the link to find out what could POSSIBLY ever be even better than a bone moth!

it fucking sucks bc i genuinely enjoy his creative content, awful hospital specifically is very good, but his weird insistence that Certain Immoral Art has a unique, direct effect on real actual life that other dark art lacks has just ruined it for me
Yeah, i was never a follower of his, anon, but it sucks he was ruined for you.
It's just weird how some of the people who should get how Satanic Panic this all is (horror people, furries) suddenly get blinders on. Oh well.

This is the main reason I was gone folks! An official "cover" for BURGRR Tower, a crossover project between the (previously) long lost creepypasta and the funny pizza game. I should back on the story soon, so be patient!

Went for a walk at a botanical garden with @bogleech today and got to see a slender twig ant, a lubber grasshopper, and some little larva neither of us can identify. Sort of looks like a very short sawfly??
