That's because he is.

I color drop directly from close-up pictures of the tally Hall members, and sometimes Joe has darker skin than and sometimes he doesn't.

These are usually the skin/hair colors that I use, joe is very pink, he is the second third/fourth row.

Here is another drawing example, joe is slightly darker

These were used directly from the pallet I normally use. I mean it doesn't look weird at all. I honestly don't understand the confusion.

I'd also like to say I don't think this matters at all. We're comparing two white mens skin colors. It's not like I'm white washing or anything. I would genuinely like to have a (background context) explanation on why this matters.

bora grew up in a very strict, old money family. she was the only child, so consistently doted on and praised when she was young, and then, as she grew older and started to think for herself, things changed. that family love felt different, more like a knife pressed against her neck. the praise felt like it came with a caveat. her dreams felt like they didn't matter. she decided to hide the disappointment in all of that in cheer and brightness, shoving the clouds away with laughs and fun and bright smiles. that was when she made the decision to move away from her family and their high expectations and obligations, though she could never bring herself to fully cut ties with them, knowing it would mean cutting ties with her grandmother, the only member of the family who listened to her without judgement, the only one who thought her dreams were hers to have.

"I mean, technically I've been hiding the fact I'm sleeping with Bora from my sister. I don't know how serious that is, but considering she takes every chance she gets to call him brother, I'd say yeah, that might amp up the seriousness. But just for the record, and not to sound like Cher, but he is not my brother. This isn't the Life With Derek, our parents are... seeing. It's not a big deal and probably won't last, so it's fine.

It's not like we're dating or anything. I've never been on a date in my life and I'm not about to start with him, while my sister is so hellbent on us being a family."

Joey steadfastly refuses to look into Bo's eyes, her teeth bite down hard on her bottom lip. "Don't." It's a warning, one given too late, because all of the rum in her system does nil to restrain any of her thoughts.

"I never gave up. Get it out of your cocky shit for brain that I ever did. But after that stunt you pulled, after you stabbed me in the back when we had a deal, I needed time realign my path because the one I had set out for me was destroyed by a selfish prick."

She is stupid, and stubborn, and it was all Bo's fault- but Joey's fingers ball into fists on her lap, trembling. All her adrenaline, all her fury has drained away, leaving nothing but fear and desperation, and somewhere, laced tightly between, something sickly and tenuous she starts to think of as heartbreak.

Not the romantic sort, no no no, but Bo had been a friend to her at one point, and through all of her life, he's the one who had ever done the worst.

"Do you get off on trying to make me feel less than? It's entertaining for you, isn't it? You could just avoid me, but you just love looking me in the eye when you like to remind me about where I'm stuck because of you."

It's enough, she figures, and she excuses herself. With the scrape of the barstool against the ground (why did she even humor a drink with him?), and the strap of her purse thrown over her shoulder, she doesn't hesitate to grab the remnants of her cocktail and throw it in his face.

"Fuck you."

Hmm, well their are canonically two digi destined in hunters partnered a veemon (or a Digimon that digivolved from a veemon) so I honestly don’t see him being really surprised by the fact that there’s also many, but probably surprised that he has the only one that uses such vulgar language
