it's a bit surreal fighting through ghoap fanfic for months to only get trough 10% of the pages on ao3, only to then look into the thramsay tag which is only that many fics. insane that thramsay used to be my standard for a ship with many fics. but it's only 10% of ghoap

thinking pondering to me john torres is like. what if u met a woman. with confidence and dignity and a strong moral backbone. you meet and she makes a distinct impression with her honesty and her frankness and she seems like she's always sure of what she wants and what she needs and she's so different from anyone else you know and thats exciting and she's exciting and she likes you specifically you. and you don't think much of you but it feels good to be liked by someone like that. you love her of course. you marry her. of course!

Hi all -- let me introduce you to my potential Tiny Fandom Town lot! I made this a few weeks ago so I 'd have it ready if and when I do the challenge, and I figured I'd share it with all of you. :) Let me take you through all the Pertinent Points --

-->The lot was built on the 64x64 lot on the Crumbling Isle neighborhood in Windenburg, where the Villareal family normally lives (the "Von-Windenburg Estate" lot). I wanted to do the challenge in Windenburg as I rarely actually play in that neighborhood, and, as I have stated in previous posts on this subject, I enjoy the idea of building up the whole island via Community Space lots as the town grows and evolves. :)

-->Also as per previous posts, the lot has the Lot Challenges Off The Grid, Reduce & Recycle, Simple Living, Creepy Crawlies, Wild Foxes, and Wild Prairie Grass to help represent that this is an entirely new and undeveloped bit of land, not hooked up to any municipal power or water and still under the control of nature. However, it does also have the Lot Traits of Natural Well, Geothermal, and Sunny Aspect -- the first two to help offset the pains that being "off the grid" brings (they help boost water gathering and power production, respectively), the last because -- well, the lot IS situated on a very scenic bit of the island, so it's no wonder the sunset would make Sims happy, inspired, or energized. :)

-->As you can see, the lot is divided into seven mini-lots, arranged in a rough horseshoe shape and marked with terrain paint and a bit of Werewolf raggedy fencing at each corner. Each lot comes with a little natural stick lamp for nighttime lighting; a pee/woohoo bush; a tent; and a cooler. Basically the absolute basics a roughing-it Sim needs to survive. Beside the very first lot in the horseshoe on the left, I have also set up a wash basin and clothesline, because I would like to force the Sims living here to deal with laundry on top of everything else. Because why not, you know? :p

-->The whole thing costs roughly $18,166! Because I really wanted it to actually be under the $20K starter home price so that a Sim fresh from CAS could purchase it and still have a little money left over to get the stuff they'd need for their first skill. No "free real estate" cheat needed here!

I know Bernadette works border patrol in the books and she has her reasons for taking the job, but her leaving at the end of only the second season almost feels like a fumble. They spend 2 seasons building up her relationships with Joe and Jim and her community and now she’s just gone.. And the director has said that he wants to keep her in the show but the question is ‘How?’ Her character being reduced to some b-plot every season (hopefully there’s many more) doing her own thing at the border does not sound like good TV, even if it is book accurate to what she does. Dark Winds as a show is an adaption of the books, but it’s really first a show about Leaphorn himself. I can’t imagine they would take a lot of screen-time off him to try to adapt the original Leaphorn and Chee books AND the books with Bern by Hillerman’s daughter at the same time. Because logically I’m not sure how they could ever connect the Leaphorn and Chee cases with what she’s doing. You would need extraneous circumstances (and I’m more aiming toward her still being in the tribal police anyway). Not to mention the trio dynamic between Joe, Jim and Bern was so great (and the actors all being close really helps with that, you can tell) and now that they’re all on good terms with each other I would love to have seen more of them working together. Bern was barley in these books (if at all, I haven’t actually read them but the director and EPs have spoken about it) the first two seasons of Dark Winds were based on, and Bernadette’s addition still felt so natural to the show, especially in season 2. I’m really surprised they would just send her off like that. Hoping they figure out a way to keep her in the story that makes sense, even if it strays from the books a bit, it’s not like they’re keeping everything else exactly the same anyway.
