I don't think Jinx lost her braids by choice, I think someone cut them, and that someone was probably Ambessa.

Jinx's hair is iconic, it's practically a symbol for other Zaunites to styles themselves after and rally behind Jinx, and we all what Ambessa does to symbols.

If Ambessa can't cut off Jinx's head, then cutting off her braids is the next best thing because it's not only an effective blow to Zaun's morale assault their leader like this, but it's also just a genuinely awful way to humiliate and psychologically mess with your enemy.

Sidenote: Jinx did NOT look like she was braidless by choice. She looked like she just cried her eyes out and only stopped because she got too numb to keep going.

I am now braidless! and very accidentally left my hair "one side long, one side short" in the process, which I quite like. Mom tells me the back is very bad and I definitely need to go to a stylist to fix it, but tbh all I'm going to ask them is to neaten this up, because it's great. :>
