𓇼 freckles

my feet sink into the damp sand, as the tide curls around my ankles. i giggle, picking up a small scalloped shell. ��this one looks like it’s blushing” i say showing off the shell to chris

he steps closer to me, peering over my shoulder— his presence providing warmth as i feel his hand on my shoulders. “it’s probably embarrassed it’s not as pretty as the last ten shells you found” he says teasing me

i nudge him with my elbow. “flattery won’t find you the best shells chris.” “you actually have to try and find some.”

“what? can i not compliment the shells now” he says with a grin on his face. “and besides, im having way more fun watching you find them than actually searching. you’re in your element.. its cute”

a small blush creeps onto my face— suddenly making me march with the shell in my hand, as i turn back around to find more shells.

as i’m lost in a trance, humming to myself, i’m interrupted by chris. “y/n! look!” he says as i turn around to see what he’s trying to show me.

“this one has your freckles” he expresses to me, while brushing seaweed off of a small speckled shell. “this is by far my favorite shell now.”

𓇼 so dead

the waves lapped around our waists, warm and lazy under the sun. as i loop my arms around chris’ neck, i laugh feeling the salt water drip from his hair onto my cheeks.

“you taste like the ocean,” i whisper as i pull my lips from his for a split second.

i feel him grin against my mouth, “well who’s the one who wanted to come into the water” he says before pulling back in.

i pull on his hair lightly signaling him to shut up, as i deepen our kiss. our kiss was slow— sun drenched. my fingers continue to twist in his wet hair, when a waved nudges us closer to one another.

then— suddenly, i feel him start to lift my up. i help him out, wrapping my legs around his waist— hoping for maybe more.

i catch a glimpse of the mischievous look in his eyes, and before i even have time to process on what’s about to happen… i’m in the water— the waves engulfing me with force.

“CHRIS! what the hell” i say through broken coughs and giggles.

“sorry! couldn’t help it” he says wiping tears from his eyes

i shove him, “you’re so dead” i say with a smile.

𓇼 stargazing

the bonfire crackled gently— the sound sounding like a far away echo. the little fire left from it casting a subtle glow across our faces, allowing me to see chris fully. everything else around us was dark— the stars above, the sand, the water.

i lay next to him, my shoulder resting on his chest as i trace my finger along his chest. his hand resting on my arm, while he too traces lazy circles on me with his thumb.

“look,” i whisper pointing towards the sky above. “that one looks like a heart.”

he tilts his head back, squinting. “that’s definitely a lopsided fish.”

i scoff. “you have no imagination.”

chris smiles, presses a kiss to my hair. “you’re the only constellation I’m paying attention to right now.”

i groan, “you’re so corny” i say trying to hide the fact im blushing. he pulls me closer, “yeah but you love it. you love being the only girl that makes me like this.”

i melt into him like we’ve always belonged here—under stars, wrapped in warmth, lit only by fire and feelings too big for words.
