WARNINGS - Mention of unsafe medical practices. Reference to violence/fighting. Vague reference to transphobia. (I’m sorry if I’ve missed anything.)

Childhood and Family Nothing is known for certain about William’s childhood. Throughout the years, he’s told varying versions of his early life to different people and he never told the same story twice: 

“My Mother was the bearded lady at the circus and my Father was one of the rodeo clowns.”

“I didn’t know my Mother. She left before I was born.”

“Oh, my parents were named ‘ Bonnie and Clyde’.”

The lack of truth in these tales are a purposeful choice by William to hide the relative bleakness of his childhood. The only member of his biological family that William ever spoke of kindly was his Grandmother. A gentle woman who, in his own words, knew that William was “William” before anyone else. They never spoke openly about it to each other, but her love for William was unconditional. 

Coming to Blackpool Whilst still a teenager, William left home and moved to Blackpool - the nearest large city - in hopes of quietly transitioning and being a part of a more accepting community. Something that was impossible to do in a remote village. Even with the relative anonymity that came from being new around town, William kept the truth of his identity closely guarded from anyone that he met. Too many school-yard brawls had taught him that people were more likely to be cruel towards anybody different to themselves. 

The first friend that William made in Blackpool was Robbie Brookside. Having lied about his age to the owner, William worked in the same bar collecting glasses and cleaning tables whilst Robbie was a part of the security team.Their friendship was quick to begin and easy.

A Different Day and Age It’s fair to say that Testosterone wasn’t easily acquired during the mid-1980’s so the majority of people, including William, had to illegally obtain it. Dimly lit alleys between buildings and the backroom of pubs became pseudo-pharmacies. There was a constant looming threat of being discovered by police or crossing the wrong person. To call it dangerous would be a vast understatement. This is, also, how William managed to have top-surgery at only 18-years old.

There are many details that’ve been lost through the passage of time or William simply doesn’t want to share about how exactly that happened so we’ll leave it there. 

Wrestling It was Robbie Brookside who initially got William interested in wrestling.  Despite his smaller build and even temper, Robbie knew how to physically protect himself and it fascinated William. On a rare weekend off, Robbie brought William along to a wrestling show and he immediately fell in love with it. 

Nobody, absolutely NOBODY, ever questioned whether William was a “real man” or not. The hard-hitting style of his wrestling added to his credibility and his reputation quickly grew, only to follow him when he crossed the Atlantic.

Confidants The only person that William told he was Trans when he initally came to America at 26 years old was Tony Schiavone. In a foreign land with no real understanding of how to procure anything through not-so official channels, he had to turn to somebody. And Mr Schiavone had taken an obvious liking to the taller man with the distinctive accent. Their friendship lasts to this very day. 

William was always extremely careful with who he divulges his personal information to, even as attitudes changed. It took him 5 years of knowing Bryan Danielson before he learnt the truth of his mentor. Danielson’s thoughts about the older man did not change. 

Jon Moxley found out by accident. He had been skulking around backstage of a FCW show and witnessed William take a vial of testosterone from his duffel bag. After a too-heated confrontation, William had no option than to explain everything to Mox. Again, Moxley’s thoughts about the older man did not change with this new information. 

Modern Day Time is a glorious thing. A bloody glorious thing. 

Acceptance has become more widespread throughout the world and, while William is still somewhat protective over his identity, he is more willing to share with those in the community. On more than one occasion, a young wrestler would confide in him about themselves and he’d feel the urge to tuck them under his wing. To protect them from the possible hate and misunderstanding that he had to face himself for so long. .

I guess it really does just annoy the fuck out of me that Bryan Danielson is irl this chill laid back non yelly guy who has the most well-adjusted, supportive, normal relationship (and no none of these things are me editorializing they’re stuff straight out of both his and brje’s mouth) which I suppose is what I was trying to ultimately express with this post by showing the irony and also the links and yet so much of fandom is gonna constantly headcanon him as some yelly guy with poor communication who is toxic and angry

and I’m not talking about in kayfabe which is fine. I’m talking about a default characterization that has for a large part become point blank across the board influenced by kayfabe, not even in fic like in just general passing or yes in the context of a storyline where he would just never really get any sort of leeway, meanwhile you don’t see that same stuff with someone like Claudio or yuta or even mox who are out there being evil on the reg. They still get a sort of woobified treatment.

like I get that ppl mostly do kayfabe around here but yet then i see claudio characterization or discussions as like ~sweet meanwhile the dude doesn’t even smile and has been killing people left and right but with Bryan it was usually always the same thing like no variety at all like even when the guy would cry and bleed on the floor or be yelling about love or be saying how much he loves Yuta and doesn’t want him hurt again not once but twice or constantly showing layers and vulnerability idk man I guess a girl gets fucking tired

And it’s not like any of this really matters any more I guess but I saw something that bugged me (not the thing I reblogged earlier) and it just made me kind of lose it

so yeah tl;dr: if you truly believe the guy is actually that way in real life as opposed to a character maybe ur on the wrong blog or at least check out the 4 pages of links I’ve put up that show stuff beyond wrestling clips or like i dont fucking know listen to the hike part 2 audio which legit made me cry that no one clicked on like this man is softer than fuck

I finally caught up on AEW and watched MJF's big "why I turned heel" promo. It didn't do much for me.

Fundamentally, Max is angry at the fans because he tried so hard to change for them, but then while he was on the shelf the fans supported other wrestlers. He singled out a time fans chanted "Thank you Joe," even though Joe contributed to the Adam Cole turn on MJF, and took the world title from MJF. This could work as motivation to target Joe, except a) I don't even remember the "Thank you Joe" chants and b) Max proceeded to make it all about Will Ospreay, for some reason.

MJF particularly resents Ospreay for worrying more about Dave Meltzer's star ratings than Nielsen television ratings. (This is objectively false, by the way. But Max is a heel so, uh, boo I guess.) I hate when wrestling does this shit. I get that Max likes to troll the AEW hardcores by bringing up the talking points of WWE shills and Cornette weirdos. But in kayfabe this conflict doesn't make sense, and in rooty-tooty worky-shooty kayfabe the conflict can't be settled with a fake wrestling match.

Lost in all of this is an actual motivation for MJF to attack Daniel Garcia on July 3. I guess the idea is that he did it to provoke Ospreay, or maybe he just figured the fans love Garcia and he wanted to make the fans suffer. Either way, it boils down to "the bad guy attacked the good guy because YOU PEOPLE," which seems too basic for a guy who never shuts up about how next-level his promos are.

The elephant in the room, of course, is Adam Cole, and it's perhaps by design that MJF never mentioned him by name in the July 6 promo. I'm sure the Adamjf diehards will construct a solid headcanon about Max refusing to deal with Cole's betrayal, and denying the anguish he's still feeling, and lashing out in every other direction like a wounded animal. And maybe someday AEW will come around to telling that story. But I don't watch pro wrestling as a prologue for fix-it fanfic. I want the story on the show to stand up on its own. Even if Max is deliberately avoiding a showdown with Adam, that doesn't mean he can't come up with a better excuse to go after Ospreay in the meantime.

I wondered if I was being too hard on Max here, until I found this blistering promo, where Hangman Page finally opens up about how much he hates that the fans embraced Swerve Strickland, and what he's capable of doing to Bryan Danielson in order to get to Swerve. It's far more effective than Max's promo, because mainly Page is actually mad at the guy who made him miserable in the first place, and he's willing to show you how much it's ruined his life. We know what Hangman wants, we know why it's hard to get it, and we know what fights he has to win to get there. In contrast, nothing Max does to Ospreay or Garcia is going to change anybody's opinion about star ratings, or make anyone resent MJF more than they did five years ago.

1) As of this writing, sadly there hasn’t been an official documented reason for Jake’s naming in New Order by his creators so for the canonical part it is currently unknown.

That having been said, Based on a Headcanon by the ever lovely @snothing , Jakand’r translates in Tamaranean as ‘Moonfire’; more implicitly he’s named after one of Tamaran’s moons though in a bit of coincidence, it’s also a name that starts with the letter J which can fit into how both his sister and him are named after Mary and John Grayson. For more on that, that post would be right here

3) I probably lean on The Phantom Star Vanguard Titans as it reflects both their place of origins and roots while making them a sub branch of the Titans via their respective connections with Dick and Kory.

4) At first they try coining the Star Phantoms as a sort of nickname for them but as time went on after the press gave them their more well known moniker, it ended up sticking to them and they accepted it, finalizing it via their Twitter account being called as such.

5) Probably videos about epic bloopers, special effects failures, and other such mishaps when it comes to big budget movies behind the scenes are a surefire guarantee in getting Chris and Jake to burst out laughing so hard. It's something of a tradition for them nearly every single time they have a sleepover.

Thank you for writing them :) I love the idea of Orange being the most unbearably casual ler ever. like just wrecking your shit and not saying a word just smirking down at you as he puts in the least effort possible but you’re still dying. Dan is ofc a very very silly ler he definitely leans playful ler but can be rough when needed or wanted

He definitely makes a lot of silly noises when tickling his lees

He’s definitely one for sneak tickles at anytime anywhere

But he does keep the more drawn out tickles to more smaller settings like between you and the group mentioned above

But he’ll definitely still sneak up and give some squeezes or pokes or maybe even a quick scribble just as he’s passing you no matter what you’re doing

When he does do the more drawn out tickles he definitely is asking as its starting “hmm should I be very nice danhausen or should I be very evil danhausen?”

Sometimes he’s genuinely asking what you’d like other times it’s a rhetorical question and he’s most definitely picking and just using it as a tease

Bryan is always scolding you for not watching where you’re going, but he does it while chuckling.

He laughs whenever you walk into stuff but also presses light kisses onto the collection of bruises you have from bumping into cabinets and doorways and tables.

When you’re out and about, Bryan always insists on walking on the side closer to the road.

Whenever you trip, Bryan rolls his eyes and takes your hand, but he loves having the excuse to touch you.

He teases you mercilessly if you still trip while holding his hand. “What, do I have to carry you?”

And sometimes you end up just getting a piggyback ride or being carried bridal style.

If you injure yourself beyond your usual bumps and bruises, he’s hovering and taking care of you - wrapping the injury, setting timers for heating and icing, keeping a log of when you take what meds, etc. He would be very strict about sticking to the recovery regiment you’ve been prescribed.

Lots of gentle, tender forehead kisses as you rest <3

Overall, Bryan would tease you for your clumsiness, but he finds it adorable <3

House Rhaegalis was one of the great houses of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros

Lord William was the leader of his noble house, he was beloved by the people of the East but he also ruled with a firm grip that made them know to fear him

Everyone knew his weakness was his children

His five sons and his only daughter

The Winter Fever took his wife, the late Lady Madisyn when their youngest son Daniel was barely seven

A lot of people questioned young Wheeler's legitimacy when it was noticed that he had an olive complexion compared to the pale skin of his parents

The truth was that he was a legitimized bastard

His mother died in childbirth, and Lady Madisyn being gracious of the heart (and having just had a child pass shortly after giving birth) took him into their home and allowed him to carry his father's name, fully legitimized

Anyone who dared question young Wheeler's parentage was met with death, plain and simple

Lord William wanted his children to be happy, something rarely seen in fathers of Westeros

Usually, his sons would have been married off to highborn ladies and create heirs, furthering the Rhaegalis dynasty

And his daughter would've most likely been awarded to a high-ranking man and create heirs for him (after all his daughter had one of the largest dowries in the seven kingdoms next to Cersei Lannister and Catelyn Tully)

When Robert's Rebellion ended, Robert asked to be married to Lady Jamie instead of her cousin Cersei

Lord William said no

For one, he knew how Robert treated women

And two, because he knew his daughter would not be happy

Many suitors tried to win Lady Jamie's hand but most were scared off

if not by her, definitely by her brothers

She had once had a mutual attraction with a Dornish prince but her brothers quickly put an end to that

The one who faced the most pressure was definitely the eldest, Claudio

He was expected to marry and carry on the family line, especially as their father's heir

Bryan had always hoped to join the Kingsguard and serve the Mad King

He refused to serve the drunken fool known as Robert Baratheon

House Rhaegalis are Targaryen loyalists but out of fear of having their house destroyed by the Lannister forces, they joined the opposition

Jonathan wanted to drink Dornish wine and whore as much as he pleased, he wasn’t the heir or the spare he could do as he pleased

Wheeler and Daniel were usually following their brothers around or learning from their father

Jamie eventually snuck off the Essos to help guide the young Targaryen Khaleesi

The sudden disappearance of Jamie led many rumors to be spread that eloped with the Dornish Prince she fell in love with

If only they knew

Jamie became one of the young Khaleesi’s closest advisors and friends

Her father and brothers were always sending Ravens about the latest things happening in Westeros

Daniel and Wheeler no sooner were they of age did they begin to fight in battle

Lord William was very hesitant when any of his children wanted to fight in a battle, he knew there was a chance they wouldn’t come back

Bryan and Jonathan soon joined their younger brothers in the War and the siblings became feared for their mighty conquests

Claudio as much as he wanted to join them as his father's heir couldn't

but that didn't mean that he didn't help in every other way he could

Before Daenerys was fully prepared to sail back over the Narrow Sea, Lady Jamie caught Winter Fever, a condition that was supposedly long gone

It took her so long to pass until finally, her body was at peace

Daenerys personally wrote the Raven to Lord William about his only daughter

Jamie's death began what would become Daenerys' slip into the Targaryen Madness

When Daenerys arrived in Westeros she found refuge at her family's ancestral seat of Dragonstone, where she was met by Lord William and his sons (including Claudio) four of whom had returned from battle

Bryan Danielson - Lectures anyone and everyone about the real importance of seaweed. “There are over 12,000 species of seaweed and provides up to 50% of the World’s oxygen...” 

Claudio Castagnoli - Practices backdrops and falls in the water. Gets banned from playing volleyball for being “overly competitive.”
