They have gone through so much, the only thing they want is to just settle down with their loved one and have nothing bother them. They sacrifice the world to just be able to spend the day with their s/o not having to bother with the world around them.

It is their only chance of gaining what they have so longed after for such a long time.

Whether they choose you or the world the outcome will be the same either way. For them you are their world. They have nothing else going for them, they love you and wouldn't trade you for the world, letting you go feels like letting go of a part of themselves.

“I'd do anything for you, kill or die.” Next to her ear, Nathaniel had whispered.

The darkness surrounding their naked bodies as he hugged her tight. It have been their first night and Nathaniel was so romantic that it seemed a ilusory but Margaret couldn’t take the smile off her face.

Thinking it in that hospital bed the whole memory seemed fake to Mitchell, a implanted memory by her medications.

Margaret was a wake for a month by now and her only companion were the nurses from the hospital, even that every week, she gained a new bouquet of flowers, nobody ever visited her.

The sender was unknow, as who paid her treatment, however, to her it was clear like water.

Margaret was grateful for his efforts, with no doubt she was. However, she didn’t knew how Nathaniel obtained the money - because she knew how expensive her medicines and room were, and her heart tightened considering what he would be involved o gain that amount of money.

She couldn’t accuse him. She made an agreement with the Guild, which reputation wasn’t good and lived up to it.

Nathaniel was stubborn to the soul, Mitchell knew better than anyone else, then of course she would be worried if he didn’t give any signal of life. Even if she wouldn’t able to make his head to give up of this job, she wished, at least, attest he was good in health. Nathaniel doesn’t think of himsef if anything were to happen with her, and since Margaret was in a hospital, then, he probably wasn’t thinking of himself at all in those circunstances.

Margaret were never a prayer. She never went to church at weekends but found herself praying every night before sleep. Not only asking for his protection, but also that she could see him only once, for one touch, one kiss, just to know he wasn’t really dead. And when she were released to go home, he would be alive to go with her.

SHSHSH we do not speak of Vampire AKu here- Now I'm only invested in BEAST aku and WAN aku... So what ships do you think is canon in BSD? Hawthrone and Mitchell defintely is- I squeaked when he called her his beloved noble lady- I feel bad for Hawthrone tbh, seeing how Fyodor is using him for his love for her but doing nothing when the guild went bankrupt and she was not treated properly...

OMG Yes! I also ship Hawthorne and Mitchell and I got really sad when Fitz tried to use Mitch as a way to take Hawthorne down...

Anyway, I'm actually a multishipper and since I ship any character to any other character, it's hard for me to choose an OTP but if I had to think about near canon ships, it would probably be Atsushi and Lucy because they look like a family (with Kyouka as the daughter LMAO).
