My most loathed coworker has taken up residence on what used to be my favorite work day. Mondays were just me alone in the bed box, but now he splits the day with me and just incessantly talks. Even if I hide across the room or put on headphones.

Not only that but he usually shows up an hour early and hangs out before his shift and I have started dreading my Monday shifts beyond all reason.

The fact that Yuan was in Lili's room when Qian found the ultrasound meant that Lili asked for help from her brother to protect her boyfriend from...her brother.

And the fact that she knew that their best chance to convince Qian and make sure that he doesn't kill San Pang is to get Yuan involved. To tell Qian on their terms before he can find out for himself. Since it didn't go to well when Qian found out about their relationship and Yuan just sat there and did nothing (god bless him that's still my favorite scene). Qian was mad for a looooong time after finding out about their relationship.

Getting Yuan involved and also setting it up so Qian finds out while they're all in a relatively safe space but together while still telling him and not keeping things from him meant that Qian didn't stay angry for long. It also helped because as much as Yuan loves Qian romantically, he loves Lili as his sister. He is also protective of her but he's much more reasonable about it because he doesn't have the same family trauma that Qian has. Yuan can help smooth things over not just because Qian loves him and listens to him but because Yuan loves Lili and sees what makes her happy and wants the best for her.

This show is so good and I love the romance of it all but I just had to say something about how much I loved the siblingship between Yuan and Lili. Lili let Yuan into that home and in doing so gave herself something more than just a brother. She gave herself a friend that would help when she needed help and would love and support both her and Qian unconditionally.

this is a piece from the beginning of this year that i don't think i'm going to go back to, so i figured i'd post what i got to with it because i am proud of how the lineart came out. also featuring my atlas outfit redesigns for cinder and neo!

my vision for this piece was a re-imagining of the detail where ironwood realizes cinder has gotten into the academy (with the glass queen's piece on his death) and instead here Cinder and Neo wait in Ironwood's office for his return to fight him then and there

below the cut is the further along version of this piece where i'd done most of the texturing, as well as my original sketch

my plans for this piece were to shade the entire piece as a completely dark room with just the light from Ironwood's holographic table thing illuminating Cinder and Neo

woe the textured pieces be upon ye. this, at the time, was my first time attempting to texture a piece. i like how it came out, especially the look of the black part of cinder's outfit

...and this was my sketch. WHICH I PROMISE I'VE GOTTEN BETTER (marginally) AT DOING SKETCHES NOW. ive discovered the wonder that when you make a sketch that's more than a vague "ehhh i want to draw something along these lines" it actually makes lining way faster! fun fact!
