For today's post, telling how I created this image.

To develop this piece, I set out to design a vibrant night scene that could serve as a versatile background for marketing use. The concept centered around a stylized cityscape viewed from out on the water, with a clear point of view looking back toward the glowing skyline.

I built the composition using simplified, graphic building shapes, outlined to give structure without overcrowding the space. Bold, saturated colors set against a deep backdrop created the impression of city lights shimmering after dark. Once the building silhouettes and palette were in place, I layered in atmosphere—subtle gradients and soft edges that introduced depth, mood, and a slight haze reminiscent of urban humidity or motion blur. The result is something both energetic and dreamlike: a city alive with color but softened by distance.

So my friend and I got the go ahead from nummigranate on pixiv to do our comic based off their designs. I'll be posting the plot shortly. There will be original characters as well as audience interaction on the blog. It is also worth noting there may be some rather raunchy parts of the comic that will either be posted to Twitter or Patreon (we haven't quite decided yet)

The comic art will be done by @mces-art-dump

The land design, monster design, and lore bits will be done by @well-manneredmoth

Rod Hunt was commissioned by Pentagram to create an architectural cutaway building illustration of the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium for University of Utah Magazine showcasing the facilities in the new Ken Garff University Club.

From gourmet bites to social delights, the Ken Garff University Club adds a fresh spark to our evolving campus scene.  

Get to Know the Club. The Ken Garff University Club operates in designated spaces on all three floors of the south end zone building. Some areas of the building are closed to club members. On game days, only football season ticket holders and athletics donors can access the building.

Restaurant Level Restaurant (A) and bar (B) with daily specials and a seasonally rotating menu; (C) Hospitality breakfast station open M-F; (D) AV-capable board‑ room for private events; (E) Patios for dining and events in warmer months.

Suite Level (F) Private suite available to work in; (G) Spaces available to rent for private events.

Field Level (H) Large central space hosts away-game watch parties, yoga in summer, and other events
