Have you seen the new theorie about Spider becoming the next antagonist? Spider could discover that Neytiri killed his mother, or Quaritch could win him over. It would be shocking, but it would make the story interesting.

there is no world in which Spider would ever become an antagonist. it's never been a facet of his character to be angry or malicious towards the Na'vi, even when they've earned his ire interesting story, maybe. but it's such a disservice to his actual character. Spider didn't save Quartich out of anger or to hurt anyone. he knows his parents were killed and deserved to be killed. he would give his life for the Sully's and for the people, tried to even.

sorry if I sounds rough, this anger isn't directed at you, but I hate this "theory" so much, I sprout teeth and claws. because it shows a complete lack of understanding of Spider's character, morals, beliefs, goals, ambitions, and drive. his entire existence is committed to Pandora and Eywa and those he loves, his siblings namely. he puts up with all he's endured because of this love. his holds mercy on his father, because he believes in mercy, he believes in kindness. he wants to be one of the people, he wants to be one with Eywa, even if they don't accept him. because he knows he belongs. he could never turn his back on his people. he could never be like his father. could never harm an innocent or take without thought.he had kept going because of these beliefs. kept fighting.

Neytiri has hurt him, but he will never hurt her back. he can be angry. but he will never be an antagonist. he will never hurt his siblings like that. he will never hurt his people like that. not unless he gets brain injury so bad he has full blown amnesia. and I don't even think Q would do that to his son, turn him into an angry villain of a boy. because Spider is the only thing that makes Q soft. he accepts how Spider is, truly how he is. sure he might not make him re-remember Jake and Neytiri in the best light, but he wouldn't make a weapon. he'd probably just run off with the kid. he has too much respect for him and for his loyalty. making him someone angry takes away what he sees in that boy (and this is not hyping Q up. he's still awful. but he's it cartoonishly evil, and the only good thing about him is his attempts at raising/loving Spider. and it's not great, cause he's still himself, but he is more then evidently trying).

Spider would have rathered dying over giving the RDA information. nothing with change that about him. that is his core. goodness without a need for reciprocation (he deserves it, but he doesn't expect it)

and with what we know from leaks (not the trailer. dw), between the tattoo and gaining the ability to breathe, he will be getting the acceptance he's always deserved, and I can think of nothing that would drive him to abandon it.

a Spider who betrays his people is no longer Spider, and I can see no world where James goes that direction.

people just want to hate him. being completely frank. they want to hate him or they want him to be the bad guy. they don't understand him. they don't want to understand him. the only way they can "understand him", is for him to be inherently evil after 16 years of showing not a single drop of bad blood in his bones. that or they hate the Na'vi and want him to be just like his daddy and continue his harm against the Na'vi.

so I hate those theories. they're baseless. bad story telling. and have negative intentions towards one or more of the characters in the franchise, with no understanding of what makes any of them tick.

I had a fic idea but don't know where to go with it, so if you want to expand on anything feel free.

So, Danny's finally an adult who's off to college at Gotham (the STEM there is crazy for how many supervillains have doctorates). Since Vlad actually took the time to heal and grow past his issues and turned into the crazy Bi uncle he was supposed to be, Danny's got his college paid for.

In the form of $50,000 and an kinda ok motel near the upper west side.

He tried asking his former nemesis why he's done this but Vlad just told him it's so he has some "pocket change and experience".

Danny's been spending the past few weeks aceing his his STEM middling at literature and upgrading the motel into something actually decent.

His business seem to be attracting the strangest living too. That's saying something since he's got ghostly and living guests. Danny knew this place was cursed but still feels surprised every time they show up.

1st: A nice lesbian couple came on the first night cause one with green-ish skin named Pam according to the pale lady named Harley felt the vegetation get really excited when he came. He had about an hour of questioning on Ectology and who Undergrowth was.

2nd: A 10ft tall crocodile man named Waylon came in cause of Harley's recommendation, he looked like he'd run any moment. That night he made sure his staff wouldn't mistreat people like him and by the time croc left there was a glowing sign by the door about how different guests are to be treated with respect no matter how they look.

3rd: THE Red hood showed up asking about a kid who worked there. Her name's Zoe and when her parents reaction to their kid being trans was to kick her out of the house at 17. She biked to the motel to get some rest before catching the bus out of Gotham, got a job checking people in instead and has since found an actual family with the help of Amorpho a social worker Danny met a few years ago.

4th: the most recent event was when Gotham's play boy prince and his cousin Kate Kane stumbled in during his shift at the front desk. Mr. Wayne was pretending extremely well to be drunk while his cousin was wrangling him awkwardly. If Danny didn't have super senses he wouldn't have noticed he was acting, or the tracker added to his cuff when he was semi-forced to shake "Bruce, just Bruce. Everyone's always so stiff." Hand. The tracker had little legs and crawled under his shirt, creepy and fascinating.

I find pretty funny how over the last near month since Marvel Rivals has been out, I've already been seeing a growing number of ships and couples.

As for what we've got so far....

A little continuation in my Gabriella lives au that already happened here and here.

So my another little headcanon, besides that Miguel is awkwardly attempting here to sorta adopt Gwen and is trying to figure out how to convince her to go back to school, is the night routine.

So Miguel (who read too many parenting guides* to catch up quickly and not fuck up this precious child) strongly believes in leading by example. So since he wants Gabriella to have good sleeping habits after her nightly routine he also goes to sleep at sensible hour. But he can't sleep through whole night so when he wakes up at ungodly hour he does some light work not to wake up her.

Then he prepares breakfast and bento (he totally had to learn to cook, you can't convince me otherwise) and with time he started having a little fun with it and then it became kinda hobby. It helps him wind down so that after he sends Gabriella to school he is actually able to take an extra 1-2 hour nap.

(* as in parenting guides for child of Gabriella age, totally clueless what to do with a traumatized teenager but after the denial he probably will do the homework)

Has Peter yapped about Ned to Dick yet + does Dick have any suspicions about Peter’s feelings towards Ned being slightly stronger than normal for best friends? Or is he just like “Boy I’m so happy my son has such a great friend :D It’s so important to have people your age you can talk to, especially as a vigilante, like how I had Wally-”

there's been a couple times he's brought Ned up which seemed like "oh normal best friend things" but after Peter freaked out thinking Ned could even be a little bit in danger in chapter 16 i like to think Dick went "huh" and then started going through every time Peter has mentioned Ned to him. the only person who has really clocked Peter possibly having a crush on Ned is Tim (the fact that this includes Peter himself as not knowing is hilarious to me), because even with the freakout, it's not solid evidence. Peter's only ever talked about one friend, and with the context that Peter missed a couple years of school and was mostly on his own, Dick figures it was a normal reaction to finding out your only friend might be hurt

later on, however, it will be very easy to see, and Dick will go "oh!"

I get that part of the appeal of FL is learning lore slowly and organically and also that it's a living story so some things just didn't exist or weren't talked about for a while and that means not everything matches up neatly and that's fine and whatever but also I would commit deranged and heinous acts for a book or google doc that just explained things plainly
