sometimes i wish i could go back to my middle school/late elementary days and roleplay with people on discord and animal jam and just make online acquaintances i would talk to daily. and then i got busy and realized just how toxic some of the servers (specifically people) i was on were and stopped interacting, and i think i've developed kind of like. online social anxiety??? like whenever i have to do co-op for a game i freeze up and weigh my options, interaction vs the reward. if i send someone an ask (even on anon) i start shaking a little and think about it all day. but i wish i could still just have chill people across the country to talk and have fun with, without having to go through being friendly for a couple months and then the realization of "oh-this-person-is-like-20-years-older-than-me-and-is-being-really-rude-and-mean-in-general" idk. making friends is so hard. but it's nice.

It didn’t hit me until recently that people genuinely think Kamala Harris was a police officer because of all the people who call her a cop online.

Like I think maybe it’s important people should know she was a prosecutor. She was once a district attorney and later an attorney general for the state of California. And we can discuss how related that is to police work and how tied she is to the carceral system etc etc (but for fairness would have to include her record of pushing for lowering incarceration rates through programs helping former prisoners + her office refusing to jail folks for low level weed offense). But she was never a police officer. Like people should get that clear. Kamala Harris was never a police officer. She was a district attorney. She was never a police officer.
