a few more little fun facts:

- very gay - 6′7 / 2m tall - speaks not only english but also spanish, german, some latin and a bit of yiddish  - tries his best to run his studio well - would do just about anything for his studio and family - blue isnt even his favorite color it’s just taken over his life (he loves yellow and red) - Wally’s dad, legally adopted him recently

may i suggest: helsmits work like those fucked up deep sea fish. both are from dark places with no sunlight and no vegetation only occasionally lit up by lava. the helsmits have glowing red eyes just like those deep sea predators have glowing red eye spots to function as floodlights because nothing else there is adapted to see red light (or any other colors for that matter). helsmits can pretty much only see red and black well and thats why they dress so edgy

(disclamer: no teeth were harmed in the making of this ask, i have poor impulse control but not THAT poor)

the results of my research: amethyst does not taste very good. also it has a hardness of 7 and a density of 2.65 (diamond has one of 3.52) though my handy book of minerals calls both amethyst and diamond "brittle" so when it comes to that they're pretty much the same
