Judge Dredd Cadet Judge (1/2)
This is the on-foot model from the Cadet Judge set by Warlord Games. Yes, the baton's a little bent, but I gave up on straightening it after a bit. The Cadet Judge on bike is primed and ready to paint next
My wrists and hands are still causing me pain, so I've gotta take it easy for a while. Still, I want to keep working on minis at least a bit, I'm getting quite agitated not being able to do much :/ ...and I have 160 Spartan hoplites on the way, so I gotta get through my 2000AD stuff!!

Been reading the Judge Dredd prose novels and man, I have fallen in love with the Rico Dredd stories. The way Michael Carroll characterizes him and Titan is such a delight to me! Honestly do wish we got to see more of Rico and Joe interacting within the series as a whole, probably why I like when 2000AD decides to have a Regened issue, because my chances of seeing it go up significantly, even if they are just cadets

Is this from the story where Dredd's looking for the class of cadets that went missing on chaos day?
- introduces female Dredd clone for 1 second
- she's pregnant
I kinda rolled my eyes at this but it is extremely funny that Dredd seems to be literally the only person in his family that can keep to the celibacy rule

I know I just requested, but I love your work so much!!!
Can I please request an imagine where the reader is going to the academy with Rico and Dredd and there is ‘friendly’ competition between the two brothers to show off in front of you?
Thank you 💛
I'm sorry this is so short, I hope you like it!😊💛❤
Cheating.
Judge Dredd x reader x Rico
(I can't remember his surname😅)
Warnings: gun usage
Masterlist
"Target practice?!" Rico groans as the drill sergeant marches us into the range, his attitude drawing an eye roll and amused glance from Dredd.
"Complain all you want, but you need it." I elbow the cadet beside me, looking to Dredd for backup.
"She makes a fair point, your aim is awful." Our friend muses, laughing at Rico's offended expression.
"No it's not!" He scowls in mock irritation, taking up a gun from the table. As he does so, it instantly identifies him, stating its readiness for use.
"It is." Dredd and I both respond, copying him, waiting for the weapons to recognise us.
"I have better aim than either of you!" Rico argues, leading us to a row of three separate targets.
Glancing over at him, I grin as an idea springs to mind.
"Prove it." I tell him, getting ready myself.
He blinks for a moment, looking at Dredd, who smirks and shrugs, setting up beside me, blue eyes focusing on his target.
"I will." Rico finally says, preparing on my other side as we all get ready to shoot, awaiting permission from the Judge instructing us.
After a minute, the order comes, gunshots soon filling the air.
I try to concentrate on my target, but with the rippling muscles of both cadets beside me, tensing with each burst of recoil, I find it increasingly harder not to watch them out of the corner of my eye. It's hot in the shooting range, sweat beading on my skin even as it does on theirs, their hair quickly becoming somewhat dusted in a fine smattering of glistening moisture, strands falling into their faces.
Biting my lip, I force myself to focus, fixing my eyes solely on the gun and target before me. Adjusting my grip on the weapon, I take careful aim, lining up the sights, allowing my finger to hover over the trigger. Steadying myself, I press the trigger, the recoil jerking my arm slightly, though it doesn't affect the trajectory of the bullet as it slices through the air, slamming into the centre of the target's synthesized chest. Lowering the gun, I admire the shot, checking to see if the weapon still has ammo.
"Damn, nice shot, (Y/n)!" Rico whistles from beside me, leaning over to marvel at the puncture mark in the target across from us.
"Yeah, she's doing a far better job than you." Dredd teases, looking over at his friend's target with a grin, "Rico, you could be standing point-blank and still miss."
"I think you'll find my shots have all hit their mark." The cadet quips back, pointing at his target: all the shots are centred around the abdomen and chest, "As for you, well, if we ever need to shoot around a corner, we'll give you a shout."
The three of us laugh, knowing full well none of us are particularly bad shots.
"At least they'll call me for something." Dredd chuckles, setting up for another shot.
Rico rolls his eyes, before smirking at me and creeping around to stand beside his friend, not making his presence known just yet. As Dredd lines up and goes to press the trigger, he gently puts a hand on the outstretched arm, bending it at the elbow ever so slightly. As the cadet shoots, the bullet goes wide, arcing over the top of the target uselessly. Dredd turns on Rico with a mock-angry look.
"That's cheating!" He exclaims, watching as Rico moves back into position beside me.
His friend simply shrugs, taking up his gun and aiming without looking, shooting the target in the head.
"Maybe I'm just better." He smirks, winking at me.
"Or," I interrupt, "Maybe I'm the best."
I take a shot, nearly hitting the exact same spot as before, playfully blowing at the top of the gun as the two men stare at me appreciatively.
"She's got us there." Rico says to Dredd, nodding at me.
He only stares at me, a smile breaking out on his face.
"Indeed she has."

The Montgomery Files: Chapter 5
No pairing really
by @adventuresintooblivion
Word Count: 1070
Summary: So Wolfe is a fangirl, and training is hard.
Montgomery walked into the gym stretching lazily. She looked around to see only one other person in the room. A red-head was doubled over huffing softly.
Montgomery looked around confused, “Are you ok?”
She replied breathlessly, “Yeah... Haa, I’m fine. Just SO many stairs. You uh… you seem to be doing just fine though.”
Montgomery looked towards the door uncertainty, “You do realize this is a physical training course for judges right? As in a shit ton of push up and sparring and stuff.”
The red-head stood grinning confidently, “Oh I know. I’m gonna be the best Judge in history. Even better than Judge Dredd!”
“Welp, you sure have your work cut out for you, Miss…?”
The idiot stuck out her hand, “Wolfe, Lily Wolfe. And you?”
The brunette shifted uncomfortably, “Just call me Montgomery.”
Wolfe held her hand out for an awkward moment before slowly lowering it, “So… are you training to be a street judge like me?”
Montgomery shook her head, “Nah. Actually I'm supposed to be in communications but I got put here somehow but you know. I’m just really glad Y/LN is one of our teachers. She’s a total badass and pr-”
“Oh! You know that Dredd is gonna be one of our teachers too?” she bounced excitedly like a teenage girl. She even squealed.
Montgomery pressed her lips together, “Yeah.. So you’re a Dredd fangirl.”
Wolfe nodded, “Yeah… Well I wouldn’t quite say fangirl.”
Montgomery asked skeptically, “So you have a picture of him taken from a traffic cam?”
Wolfe nodded, “Well, yeah everyon-”
“No not everyone has one. You’re a fangirl.” Fucking weirdo.
Wolfe rolled her eyes and, thank the heavens, more people began to filter in. A tall attractive man walked right up to Montgomery.
He smiled, “Hey Bre, I didn't think I'd see you here.”
Montgomery grinned and playfully punched his shoulder, “Hey Dominic. I’m just here to make your life hell.”
Wolfe took this opportunity to also lightly punch Dominc, “Hey...champ. I’m Wolfe and it's great to meet you.”
Dominc shuffled closer to Montgomery, “Uh... Ok. You seem to uh… Who the fuck are you?”
The red-head pouted, “I just said that my name was Wolfe.”
Dominic raised his eyebrow before turning away to ignore her. The small girl crossed her arms and glared at his back before moving over to try her charms on someone else.
Soft chatter filled the room quickly. People milled around and caught up. However, a soft bang silenced everyone. In through the doors walked Y/LN and Dredd. Y/N wore her sweatpants and workout gear. Dredd on the other hand uniform, helmet and all.
Dredd paused a moment to regard the new recruits, “Well... You're not a completely helpless lot. Today we start with training. Most of you won't make it, but for those of you who do, you will be full fledged Judges. Our lives aren't easy ones and this course is meant to keep you alive on the streets no matter what's thrown at you. Keep that in mind when you're about to complain about running another l-.”
He was interrupted by a soft squeal. His attention immediately narrowed in on Wolfe. Who was currently bouncing on the balls of her feet.
His signature frown somehow deepened, “Who are you cadet? You better have a damn good reason for interrupting a superior officer.”
She shifted with a stupid grin plastered on her face, “I’m sorry. My name is Lily Wolfe and I just can't believe I'm talking to the real Judge Dredd. Can I get a picture?”
Montgomery stared in disbelief. This dipshit had the balls to actually begin walking up towards Dredd with her arms out as if to hug him.
Dredd growled, “Get into formation rookies!”
Everyone quickly hurried into a five by four grid of people and if course Wolfe was front and center.
Y/LN stood beside Dredd, with her arms folded and a poker face, watching the cadets.
She finally spoke up, “Hello everyone, I am Y/N Y/LN and I will also be your instructor. We're starting out with thirty push-ups and forty sit-ups. After a few other basic exercises we'll check your endurance with a 3 mile run. These will be the scores that will be used to pass or fail you. N-.”
“Excuse me.” Wolfe interrupted, “You're a student too. Why’re you teaching us? You're what, my age?”
Dredd’s voice drowned out the red-head’s, “Y/LN was at the top of her class, and you will give her the same respect you give me, is that understood Wolfe?” The girl’s name came out with a hiss.
She nodded, shrinking in on herself as if she were a beat puppy. Dredd ignored her and turned back towards Y/LN, indicating for her to continue.
Y/LN quickly continued to debrief everyone. Soon the students began their exercises, one after the next. She managed to keep everyone pumped with relative ease. However, it didn’t stop Wolfe’ constant bitching. After the first few minutes, everyone had enough.
“Oh my God…Haa...How on earth can you just-? Fuck. Ow! Cramps…” she whined for the millionth time.
Montgomery groaned, her head flopping back in exasperation as she passed the two and a half mile marker. She'd already lapped the dumbass twice.
She couldn't help but grumble under her breath, “If you were a horse you'd be taken out back and shot.”
Dominic, who happened to be nearby, started laughing so hard he almost fell over. Y/LN’s eyebrow rose as she watched the rookie’s antics.
Her voice barked out suddenly, “Montgomery aren't you in communications?”
“Yes Ma’am.” Montgomery answered out from across the gym.
Her eyes narred in distaste at the use of ‘Ma'am' but continued anyways, “Then what’re you doing here?”
“Clerical error, Ma’am.” She passed the finish line gasping for breath.
Y/LN grinned wolfishly at Wolfe as she limped by, “Hey, you see that? A communications officer is doing better at this than you. Maybe you could ask her for pointers.”
Wolfe’s head snapped up from her bent over position, “Hey, you can’t make fun of me like that.”
Y/LN rolled her eyes but it was Montgomery who answered, “It’s supposed to keep you motivated. So toughen up buttercup and finish that mile!”
Dredd interrupted, “Cut the chatter.”
The rest of the day went in similar cycles until, finally, class was over.

Fuck, Marry Kill: Jarvis, Captain Barnes and post chemical Joker + general unpopular opinions :)
oh, that’s an easy one
i’d definitely marry barnes (if he wasn’t the same age as my parents, you know)
i’d say that i’d fuck tetch, but actually in real life i wanna keep a mile long distance from him
post-chemical, not post-chemical, whatever - i’d kill that ugly ass motherfucker without hesitation
with general gotham opinions is harder, since i have a lot of them, so i’m gonna stick to unpopular opinions on characters whom i care the most
barnes
i actually don’t like his first episode. not that much as 3x09 or 3x19, but still. it’s so ooc-y, comparing to what his character is gonna be later. i have no idea why writers decided to give such an awful first impression of him. the idea that barnes doesn’t care about his people or young cadets dying is dismissed in very next episode. in general he is not that level of jerk-ass as he in 2x04 (at least in later eps his douchbagness in some way is justifiable by the fact that we are aware of his beliefs)
the popular fandom idea that “barnes is always angry lololol” is not only played for laughs in show itself, but also simply.... not true. people see his every negative emotion as anger just because he rarely shows some positive emotion. he’s not even pissed off in most scenes people claim he is, he’s either annoyed or says things very loudly (which is, you know, not the same thing as being angry)
barnes’ virus plot shouldn’t have been about his “anger at the guilty” (it should have been about anything expect this stupid judge dredd parody), it should have been about his desire for violence, which is what by his beliefs in law he tried to suppress. the main reason why he became by-the-book cop is that his urge to hurt is what lead to a murder of a child, and could have been the reason of other brutal killings; he realize how fucked up he is and that he need to control himself. that’s why he is so obsessed with law, that’s why he’s ignoring his own and other people’s needs, his common sense, because he can’t let himself slipp not even for a moment. eventually, law became his sense of self, and alice’s blood destroyed that completely, leaving barnes with his bloodlust, which he, of course, couldn’t fight. imho, that is what barnes’ main conflict about: not anger - violence, and in a context of his character, that’s completely different things. tl,dr; it’s not the law created his anger, it’s anger and desire for violence created his beliefs in law
nathaniel barnes is a two-face. no, i’m not gonna explain that one because i’m tired of thinking at this point
bullock
anyone who says that gordon made bullock a better man clearly wasn’t watching s1. “spirit of the goat” show us that harvey always was a good man, with desire for justice, but after years and years of fighting it was harder and harder for him to find a motivation to fight back, and, eventually, he forgot about his white knight persona (but not abandon completely). i’m not gonna deny that gordon had some influence on harvey, but saying that gordon “reformed” bullock is saying that you don’t know the character you talking about
speaking of influence - imho, barnes had a lot of this on bullock. from laughing at barnes behind his back and not following his orders in s2 to being very loyal to cap to the point where harvey tells gordon to fuck off and stop interfering into their job multiple times in s3. all of this was forgotten after 3a of course (because god forbid bullock is gonna have connection to someone who is not gordon), but still
(if you love bullock/gordon don’t read next paragraph) if you following me for a long time you already know this, but anyway - g*rdlock is NOT an example of a good friendship. it’s a ffity shades of gordon being an unbearable peace of shit in general and to his “””friend”””. s1 is the only season in which they had some sort of friendship, but everything after that? g a r b a g e
my fav seasons with harvey is season 1 and 3a because these have the most bullock moments outside of his relationship with gordon
tetch
despite being my favourite gotham villain, i enjoy only his 3a plot, every scene with him after 3x08 is not that enjoyable at best or makes you cringe because of how poorly they waste such a good villain at worst. and even his “mad city” storyline is mostly him fucking with gordon’s brain in not really original for this show way
this one is also about barnes, but i’m gonna write it here: virus storyline was actually good when it was about tetch and barnes only, because it‘s obvious that this plot (inner darkness, forbidden desires, bloodlust in every meaning of this word - you get my point) was written for them and them only. the moment alice’s blood became to be about gordon, lee, mario, bruce, penguin and etc. it started to be really boring
why everyone losing their mind around tetch/scarecrow or j squad? am i missing something?
#gothamstreetcat#thanks for ask!#and sorry for answering late#i was busy with being tired and sleeping#mytext#honestly i cant say that barnes opninons are unpopular because there isnt much opinions about him at all but anyway#long post for ts
