sigh... yeah. ok. looks like i'm giving into the whispers of the devil and writing a oneshot about my cherubsona. but i think (hope) it's a story that should still be interesting even to people who aren't terminally obsessed with this OC (i.e. literally everyone else in the world other than me)

Been a minute, but I found the note and finished it up a bit. These guys are still very new and subject to change as I get a better feel for them
Off brands
Okay, starting with the initial group mentioned: the three papyruses.
Castor (Fell Papyrus) - outwardly comes across cold and harsh, tends to keep to himself and avoids socializing, short temper for getting annoyed but pretty hard to genuinely piss off. Won't talk about his AU to anyone but Calcine, anything relating to his brother is a very sore spot.
7'2, for piercings, has a nasal ridge bar, one horizontal brow bone, and one teardrop, both on the left side. Has rings down each outer ledge of his scapula, sometimes laces ribbon through them. For "tattoos" (etchings w/ stain), he has stars scattered on the right side of his skull, oleander flowers on his left shoulder, and a bat across his inner sacrum where it meets the lumbar spine (possibly others, yet to be determined).
Has significant scarring, though maybe not as much as Edge. Candy apple red magic with hints of purple. Ringed eyelights that aren't prone to changing shape very often, but when extremely angry, pin dots appear in the center of the rings.
Calcine (Tale Papyrus) - outwardly comes across very similar to canon Papyrus, but almost like it's a stage role he’s forgetting the lines to. Slightly calmer and less whimsical/humorous, more prone to apparent anxiety, but tries very hard to act as "normal" (when compared to canon Papyrus) as possible. Won't discuss what wound him up here, but will happily talk about his AU prior. It sounds like...undertale.
6'5, the bones of his entire body up until his skull are burnt, permanently charred, but he makes no effort to hide this. Might have eyelights...? Sometimes it appears there is light coming from deeper within his skull but he makes an effort to prevent others from seeing this. Blue magic.
Anthias (Swap Papyrus) - outwardly seems a bit quiet and distracted, but otherwise generally friendly. Laid back and tries to keep calm no matter the situation, despite often times those around him being more prone to panicking and ignoring him. Will talk vaguely about his brother and a few others from his AU but not much else.
6'7, very similar appearance-wise to a standard swap Papyrus, though he has prominent freckles and blue magic. Typically tries to wear clothes to cover his body and the few scars he does have unless around others he's very comfortable with.
Their dynamics w/ each other ⬇️
Calcine was the first person to get Castor to open up...at least a little bit. It was hard won, but he does, finally, consider Calcine a genuine friend. They've talk more about their own AUs to each other than anyone but still haven't actually said much, especially not about the afflictions that separate them from the "standards".
While they do care for one another, neither are particularly good at actually looking out for the other, and on occasion, even enable bad habits. They're working on it.
Anthias and Calcine have known each other since before Castor joined them, but never really spoke much until after. Despite his laid back aura, Anthias is deeply self conscious, which caused an unintentional rift between the two with Calcine finding him to be aloof. Eventually though, they get to know each other better, and even become very close friends. Calcine has since earned the nickname Ziggy from Anthias.
Castor and Anthias met through Calcine, though Anthias had been very curious about him since Castor's arrival. They didn't get along so well at first, mostly because of Castor's standoffish nature, but as he settled in more, they gradually found themselves easing around the other, (with the mediation of Calcine, too, of course). They have more of an unspoken understanding type of dynamic, and enjoy spending quiet time together or working independently in the same place. Anthias jokingly calls him Cassie sometimes, leading to Castor referring to him as nearly any feminine A name in response (ie Annabelle, Andrea, Annie, Alexis, etc)
I don't have proper refs for any of them, but I've drawn Castor and Anthias before (prior to deciding to make them entirely separate variants)
Castor vis ref • Anthias vis ref

read thru the entire post about which oc would have a cult following 100% assuming it meant like. literal cults. including your tags like "damn it's so sad that some of the literal angels/demons could start cults and just completely fail bc nobody liked them : (" anyway oc ask: who is starting cults, who is reluctantly getting cults started around them, what r they doing with their devoted followers, whose cult fails bc they're just not popular/charismatic enough to carry it off?
HAHAHAHA OH MY GOD oh yes okay CULT THOUGHTS
Zinnia: Very successful at STARTING a cult after years of ambitious heaven political moves, absolutely terrible at MAINTAINING one after years of lounging around on earth doing fuckall while burnt out. He recruits a lot of people who eventually wind up splitting into several viciously opposing factions and then just infight with each other for the rest of time. That's okay, he was tired of being a charismatic leader anyway.
Asphodel: Has read lots and lots of BOOKS on cults, but didn't consider how much actual Socializing and Charisma is involved in running one. They only ever get about two cult members, and both of those members are ALSO kind of shy, and they all prefer to keep this to like a once a week thing, so could they just meet on like Thursdays?
It takes them several months to realize they have just formed a book club that talks about books about cults specifically. However, they're still meeting once a week, so... success????
Amaranth: Scarily good at running a cult. Most likely to be found leading some kind of revolutionary faction, and god knows she's charismatic enough to pull people in. But the members are all quick to reassure you that this isn't a cult, it's a coalition. You know, everything is on the up and up. But have you ever considered joining? The leader has some really good points about how Heaven could be restructured to break up the current hegemony, here, you can read all about it in this pamphlet-
Nik: FAR too much of a shitstirrer to ever maintain a cult, but he still has enough charisma and pull to draw people towards him. He's most likely to pull in a group of catty gossips who backstab each other constantly (which he encourages with glee and delight so he can hear all of them viciously bitch about each other to him.) He does this until they inevitably all break up and stop talking to each other. This is like a hobby to him.
Ike: Way too shy to be a cult leader. He prefers to let Nik be the social butterfly while he gravitates towards the quieter, more low-key people. That being said, he does have a cult following as a musician, in the way that there are music snobs out there who INSIST that his two-hour industrial ambient noise set is, like, musically GENIUS, and you just don't Get It if you don't like it.
Kalli: She's an influencer in Hell, so it's BASICALLY the same thing. Her current hustle is getting Earth beauty products trending on Hell social media so she can then resell them at a markup to demons who don't have portal clearance. She's cultivated her persona online with such attention that anyone who attempts to talk badly about her QUICKLY gets swarmed by angry fans defending her in the replies. It's going pretty well for her, all told....
Calcine: One could argue that Calcine is a cult all to themselves, could they not? Anyhow, if they did start a cult, it would be impossible to know until one day you realized you're counting slightly more skull segments than you remember... how many did there used to be? Did the number go up????
Vin: You’re in his cult right now, you just don't know it yet.

I got this template from another blog on how you skeletons would react to meeting new people, feel free to change up the categories!
Immediately overly friendly:
So visibly anxious you think they might puke:
Acts like a normal person:
Showboating and bragging:
“oh this guy might actually kill me”:
Does not leave the house or meet new people:
Too weird to fit into any of the other categories:
I’m enjoying theses asks, it’s helping me understand ur characters more
How the skeletons would react to meeting new people
Immediately overly friendly: Rus, Berry, Coal, Dove, and Lace
So visibly anxious you think they might puke: Spice
Awkward in that way where neither party can tell if they're the one making it weird: Edge, Clover, and Anthias
Acts like a normal person: Stretch, Blue, Pup, Void, Perp, Hawk, Aurigae, Cire, Honey, Uno, and Sky
Acts like a normal person (in a way that feels distinctly not normal): Sans, Copper, Gold, Eclipse, AR, Luck, Cue, Boss, Ara, Cerulean, and Heartfell Sans
Showboating and bragging: Cherry, Pictoris, Antares, Calcine, and Heartfell Papyrus
“oh this guy might actually kill me”: Red, Patch, Haze, Snare, Boötes, Ice, Pin, Raviel, and Castor
Does not leave the house or meet new people: Ghost, Dusk, Rust, and Dos
Almost normal but he keeps calling them "mortal" and puts out weird vibes: Elester
Also acting like a normal person here is relative. As normal as any Sans or Papyrus can be <3
