Dale Cooper is almost at retirement age, but he can’t leave yet when the new agent they brought onto Blue Rose is intriguing!!!! Meanwhile, Albert gets sick with want when he thinks about their age gap.
Or the alternative: baby faced Cooper can’t leave this old man (Albert) alone. Albert can’t wait to get out of the FBI, but why does Coop always disrupt his thoughts when he thinks too much about his own departure?

I think actually the only way to reconcile the ace attorney japanifornia situation is to replace LA with tokyo
#sorry had this thought and it made me laugh so hard#the idea of like tokyo maintaining its public transport infrastructure and general vibes while norcal is. norcal.#the intense split of norcal residents that are like WHY IS LA/TOKYOS PUBLIC TRANSIT SO MUCH BETTER#and norcal residents that are like ‘Um Actually. bart is doing great so-‘#also just so funny to me bc Tokyo vs LA is not even close. its not even close !!!#which wojld make the norcal socal divide even insaner#which is a good thing obviously#me shrinking the map of japan flipping and transforming it until tokyo and LA match up like LOOK IT WORKS#i think this can also lead to fun situations to fix the germ-erica problem too where we put new york (and like half the east coast)#in germany/europe#bam problem solved#‘wait so was edgeworth in the us or germany?’ ‘yes’#‘how would we fit the greater tokyo area-‘ arizona and nevada become greater california next question#like im already a firm believer khurain could be in the ie if it really wanted to be#but u ever been like#even 20 miles out from tahoe in the wrong direction#perfect situation for khurain over there i prommy#anyways if u couldnt tell its almost 3am and this is still making me laugj#sorry just imagining LA being tokyo and then u like#still live in sac lmfao. can u imagine.#la is tokyo and ure stuck in a town that still believes in state of jefferson 😭😭😭😭#fuck dude norcal (actual norcal not the bay) could defffff have khurain too tbh#i feel like those posts that are like ‘localization forces u to accept khurain is just somewhere in california’ are not from cali#like i promise u accepting that wasnt that hard#those posts r still funny tho

4T3 Conversion of HistoricalSimsLife's CC Catalogue
So… here we are, haha! This is the grand project I’ve been working on for about three months now! I made a promise to all of you, so I’m here not only to fulfill that promise and make a bit of a comeback but also to celebrate reaching the incredible milestone of 3,000 FOLLOWERS!!!
I’m so grateful to all of you for everything that has happened since I joined this community, it’s one of the little shining points of my life, lol. So, let me give back by bringing your sims MORE THAN 150 pieces of CC, including clothes, hairstyles, accessories, and buy mode objects!
You’ve probably already guessed that I have A LOT to say about this set, so please, follow me after the cut! 💖
Hope you like it, enjoy!
In this compilation are included sets, mini-sets and standalone pieces that the original creator made! Posepacks, patterns, mods, and pieces categorized as “modern” are not included! HistoricalSimsLife has a lot of 3T4 conversions, and naturally they're also not included EXCEPT for the ones that are mesh edits (e.g. here and here)! TSM to 4 conversions are also not included, as you can find every item converted to TS3 here by votenga! I also re-converted CC that I had previously converted before, such as the printing press set and the dandy suit!
————— —————
I'll link the CC just so you know what I'm talking about!
Known Problems:
Most of the time the sleeping animation that comes with the One With Nature mod looks off when making your sim sleep under the prehistoric lean-to shelter. I'm not sure why but instead of sleeping horizontally they sleep vertically, so they clip with the branches that are on the floor. Two times while I was testing they slept horizontally tho, so I'm not sure if I can fix it. Sorry!!
The drawer (chest) of the Kativip Library set doesn't have an animation!
The telescope's eyepiece looks a bit off when a sim is using it. The way the mesh is made is very different from ts3's telescopes, and it would be quite hard to make it looks seamless and also it wouldn't look good, as ts3's telescopes all look kinda silly imo hahah. Hope you don't mind it very much!
The celtic cape might clip depending on the clothes being used and the animation being played!
The round weave rug of the Rustic Living Set generates some white lines when zooming really far out. I thought it was UV map, but I tweaked it and they're still showing up. It's only apparent if you look closely tho!
LIGHTING GLITCHES ONLY APPEAR ON CAS!
* Note that teens and elders have neck gaps. This is sadly the price for having them available! For teens, try using this and this slider by gruesim!
Please let me know if you find any problems!
————— —————
ALL OG CREDITS GO TO @historicalsimslife, Kativip and EA/Maxis! IT'S NOT MY MESHES, AND IT’S NOT MY TEXTURES, I JUST CONVERTED THEM TO THE SIMS 3!
————— —————
Buckle up now...
NOTES & INFO:
The whole catalogue is quite low-poly and gameplay friendly, so don’t worry about that!
The whole catalogue is categorized into folders once you extract the zip, so you can pick and choose if you're playing in a specific era!
The buy mode items have collection files so you can find them a lot easier (except for the crib, the map painting and the aztek sink)! Just put them inside your "collections" folder in ts3's documents folder!
I highly recommend using the One With Nature mod by @spheresims while using the prehistoric collection!
The printing press letter plate works as a functional computer, and it's categorized as so!
The printing press desk and chair both have 4 matching presets! They're all different wood presets!
The hollow food storage works as a functional fridge for your prehistoric sims!
The Pile of Rocks cave works as, you guessed it, a cave! Actually no lol, it works as a tent, and your sims can sleep inside! It also has 5 presets, all stone textures, first one is an overlay, the rest is recolorable!
The sleeping underlay works as a sleeping bag! It has 2 recolorable presets!
The Skyrim lean-to has 2 presets! First one has an overlay texture, second one is recolorable!
The prehistoric lean-to shelter has 7 presets. The last one (fur) is recolorable, the others are overlays!
The rustic living set has two bed frames (single and double bed) and two matresses! All you need to do is to put the bed frame first, and then the matress on top of it, now you have two separate objects that can be customized!
The weave rug has 6 recolorable presets!
The round weave rug has 7 presets, and they're all combinations of recolorable and overlayed parts!
Both love seats and both bed frames of the rustic living set have 3 presets, different types of wood! Not recolorable.
The matresses also have 3 presets, they're combinations of overlayed and recolorable parts!
The old map painting has 4 non-recolorable presets!
The aztek sink has 4 presets, and they're combinations of overlayed and recolorables parts except for the last one! It also works as a functional sink!
The two empty boockases of the Katvip library set work as displays, so there are many slots for you to put decor on!
All hats/caps are hat-slider compatible and unissex!
The Dandy Lady hat (renamed it from ts3's hairstyle) has 3 different versions: One with feathers (that I made), one without them, and one without feathers nor decorations (renamed as Gone to Riding Hat)! You need to have V1 installed for the textures of the other two to show up, as they're linked!
The maid dress has 4 different versions (i know the post says 3 but it's 4 lol), as you can see on the preview! They work just like the Dandy Lady hat, above!
The Pirate Dress has an overlay you can find in accessories! Using it with the outfit you can recolor the belt and the buckle! If you don't use the accessory, those parts will just be a usual overlay texture!
You need to use a no feet mesh to use the Boy's 1700s Frock Coat, you can find one here!
The Boy's 1700s Frock Coat has has an overlay accessory, same thing as the Pirate Dress! With it you can recolor the belt, the pockets and the buckle!
The Edwardian Tea In The Garden dress has 6 presets, 5 of them are floral overlays, and the last one is a solid version.
The Regency Morning Dress has 11 presets. First one is a solid version, the last four are patterned overlays, and the rest are recolorable patterns.
The Ester Wedding Dress has 4 recolorable presets, the patterns of the bodice change!
The Simply Rococo Dress has 15 totally recolorable patterned presets!
The Embroided Rococo Dress has 2 presets: the first one is the original texture as an overlay, and the second one is a recolorable version of it (though not as good, since it's a very complicated texture).
The Vintage Men's Exercise Outfit has 6 patterned presets, all recolorable!
The Edwardian Men's underwear and the Edwardian Men's nightgown both have 2 presets, one striped and one solid. Both recolorable!
The Dandy Suit has 9 presets, first one's solid and the rest are patterned, all recolorable!
The Celtic Warrior Outfit has 2 presets. In the first one the plaid is an overlay, original texture. In the second one you can change it however you want using CASt!
The Bodacious Boy Suit has 2 presets! The mask is different, so you can recolour different parts!
The Vintage Girl's Dress With Bows has 8 presets, one of them is a solid version, another one is a recolorable patterned preset, and the rest are patterned overlays!
The Colonial Living Girl's Dress has 5 presets, last one is a solid recolorable version, and the rest are patterned overlays!
The Victorian Tweed Dress Top has 6 presets. The last one is a totally recolorable preset, the other 5 are overlay presets!
The Celtic Dress Top has 2 presets. First one is a long sleeved version, and the second is a vest like top with long sleeved white shirt underneath. Both recolorable!
The Victorian Tweed Dress Skirt has 6 presets, same thing as the top!
The Celtic Dress Skirt has 2 presets. First one has an apron with it, and the second one doesn't! Both recolorable.
I think that’s all haha! Now to the download! <3

hii angel!!! I want to request tiktak by illit and my pookie jisung for your writing event hehehehe ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

a short story with jisung of nct dream
⌗ warnings: very mild cursing (“bullshit”), they kiss (it’s a literal peck tho), reader is implied to have hair (my apologies bald readers), ermmm…. i think thats it :3
⌗ synop: a bet over mario kart may just have changed you and jisung’s whole relationship.
⌗ pairing: gn!reader x nonidol!jisung
⌗ w.c: 548
⌗ a/n: this was supposed to be a silly fun one but i lowk kinda hate this….. i hope it meets your standards decently either way gem :( i feel like this is written so awkwardly… oof ૮๑ˊᯅˋ๑ა can we take this horrible drabble as an excuse to appreciate cherrysung tho???? dare i say it’s my fave color on him… hes so pretty </3
Tumblr media
since you were best friends, you obviously played games with jisung a lot. well, today your usual game sesh went a little too far. you were playing mario kart, and ever the competitive one you were, jisung threw a banana peel at you and got a little… mad.
“BRO???” you yelled, jaw dropping as you watched your car spin off the map, jisung sitting next to you and just laughing. you reached over the coffee table, putting your hair up and sighing, mentally collecting yourself. “this is bullshit,” you mumbled, taking your controller back into your hands as it came up on the screen that jisung had won the last round.
jisung rolled his eyes, reaching over and delicately pushing your hair behind your ear before pressing the play button again. “you’re such a sore loser, yn,” he teased, raising an eyebrow as you glared at him, your eyes narrowing. “zip it.” you warned, hitting him in the side with your elbow, not enough to actually hurt him, although he let out a small “ow.”
as the next round started, jisung hummed thoughtfully, an idea coming to his head. “what if,” he started, glancing over at you and then quickly back to the screen. “if you win this round, i’ll pay for your meals for a week.” you kept your eyes glued on the screen, but your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. there had to be a catch to this. “and if you win?” you asked suspiciously.
you could see out of the corner of your eye, he bit down his bottom lip, almost like he was unsure if he should say what he really wanted to. “if i win… you have to give me a kiss,” his voice curved at the end, almost like it was a question more than a statement. you raised an eyebrow, almost falling off the map again in the game but quickly regaining your steadiness. “like… on the lips?” he nodded sheepishly, and you swear you could feel your cheeks get a little warmer, but you agreed.
long story short, he won, after practically bumping you off the map, and you gave in. it was a little weird, no? best friends don’t usually kiss. at least, not that you know of. still, the little voice in your head was egging you on, along with the fact that you couldn’t say no to jisung without feeling bad, so… it happened.
it was quick, you were a little stiff, but that didn’t stop the moment itself from making your heart practically stop. one thing you noticed was that he didn’t pull away, he didn’t push you off. you pulled away, actually, mainly because of anxiousness. you quickly looked away, eyes glued to the ground in an attempt to not make accidental eye contact, since that would probably make this all the more awkward.
“um… i can still do the meal thing if you want,” he spoke up, which, you noticed his voice was a little shaky. “i’m hungry.”
were you gonna talk about the kiss? probably, maybe over dinner. but for now, you were just going to mentally tell yourself that you were still platonic. just to not get your hopes up. even if, deep down, you both knew this was going to change everything.

EXT: THE COVE, BENEATH THE SHADOWS OF THE DESTINY’S BOUNTYAfternoon
KAI and LLOYD, in dragon form, are resting in the cove. Kai is looking up to see dragons flying overhead; he’s not worried about the dragons seeing them, because the two are propped under the shadows of an old ship, the DESTINY’S BOUNTY. A thought occurs to Kai, and without looking he asks Lloyd a question.
KAI: Hey, Lloyd?
Lloyd is curled around the space he and Kai have found together. Without looking up, Lloyd answers from the ground.
LLOYD: Yeah? KAI: I know you’ve probably been asked this, but… how can you fly? All the other dragons have wings, but I’m guessing you and the dranhoni…don’t?
Lloyd pauses; he is unsure on how to best answer.
LLOYD: We don’t. We’re part oni. We don’t use the essences the same way the dragons do. Or, we share some element of how the dragons do. You know what I’m saying? KAI: No, I’m not sure I do. I bet you learned all that in Dranhoni School.

i can see the first couple words of any asks people send me in my notifs but cant actually read them all or respond to them, but a few people have asked about my writing process, writing fast, characterization process, ect, and since i just finished a little characterization exercise fic yesterday (hohmann transfer orbit) i thought i'd talk about it!!
i started writing fic wat back when ff.net was still relevant and when i was about sixteen i participated in nanowrimo for the first time, and pumped out my first long fic! and i loved it, i loved writing, and when the month was over i just kinda kept writing at the same pace? ever since ive tried to do at minimum 2k words a day, even if it's just school assignments! i enjoy it, it makes me a better critical thinker, it exercises parts of my brain that math and science dont! i posted about this a while back but in hs i got long acrylics and discovered voice to text, and ever since i've used that a LOT. so i'll map out my scenes in my head, think up the dialogue, little sentences, and then a lot of times i'll VTT them out. ive been doing this for years and have a lot of practice, so this is how i write pretty fast! i'll VTT most of the story, and then heavily edit it to make it flow, change words, ect. this is how i'll put out a 35k story in a week, for example. years of writing for at least an hour or so a day, and very polished VTT skills. also, this is a misconception i think, but i had most of better half written before publishing it! and i had all of it mapped out in my brain!
now, i think most people want to know about my willmack specific process so here goes!
first of all, even tho i havent had a tumblr for long, ive been following the willmack of it all since fall. im irl extremely into the sporty side of hockey so obvi i was keeping up with mr first overall, and the way that he and will were acting was veryyy interesting to lil ole undergrad sports psych minor me. this is around the time i started READING hockey rpf, and willmack stuck out to me as hey, i could write it too! i'm a scientist (pending phd so only kind of) and i luvvvv field notes so i essentially turned them into my lab rats lol.
i have a characterization doc in my drive with media quotes, events, dates, body language observations, relationships, interviews, ect where i put together my chara notes -- some are what i think is 1000% real (will being a planner, mack being a spaz -- things we have proof of) and some which i more infer or like, take further than what we know to be true (will emotionally regulating mack in private -- how would we know?? mack being snappy to the team after bad losses -- likely, but again, not certain, will being observant about mack's wants/needs -- we know he's observant, we know he remembers things (games, plays, ect), we know he takes mental notes, but i take it a step further abd apply it to mack). every time some new plane hits the wacklin towers, i add this event to my field notes and try to pull from it. a good example is the worlds tiktok, i'll add their body language, words, tone of voice, ect, and try to extrapolate. will -- looking right at the camera, small meepy but genuine looking smile, no fidgeting, "hope youre having fun", no indication hes insecure. mack -- all over the place, making his exasperation with this stupid tiktok kinda known, fleeting eye contact, fidgets, not as confident, hesitating before speaking, ect. for my chara notes, this reinforced that will sets the tone for both of them. with will out of the room, mack had a hard time setting the tone and was all over the place, downplaying, ect. mack has a harder time being sincere of his own volition. he lets will lead the friendship. then i take this, and try to put it into context!
and as we all know, i LOVE an unreliable narrator. i almost always write from a third person limited perspective, and for me to really create accurate characterization, it's important for me to try to view things strictly thru the eyes of the character. as ive gotten better as a writer, this has moved from just events to pretty much everything. a different person would notice different things, actively think about differeng things, dwell on different things, ect. emotions look different on different people too. events look different too! memories too! peoples' tones! everything! so for example, when i write mack, when he's watching the sharksbplay thru his eyes, he pays a LOT of attention to will's hockey. youll notice in my writing, will's plays are embellished, have loads of detail, and look probably better than they are. this is because of the way mack views will, and views will's hockey! will's hockey is important to mack, so it gets more attention than other things would! and when i write will, he'll catalogue things about mack. facial expressions and body language and emotion -- in my characterization, note taker WSH is note taking mack too. of course mack notices things about will too but when i write will's pov, this is more intentional.
to develop these povs and characterizations, i write a lot of chara exercises of sorts. i'll take a really basic, plotless scene, and try to fic out how i think each of them would exist within that scene, how they would interact with each other and other people, what they would say and do and feel. sometimes these chara exercises grow into longer fics (hohmann transfer, and a few ive added chappys to by request) but lots of times they serve no plot purpose but to help me develop them in my head and solidify behaviors and traits.
anyways! cant imagine that anyone could have more questions after this gd essay, but if u do.....uh.....my inbox doesnt work rn. i miss u guys maybe i'll make a discord or smth. you can always comment questions on ao3, i'll keep an eye out for them!

you get TWO ! scientist bc ok so the cadaver is an au cadaver jm not getting into it just yet its also to practice drawing him bald. a very scary fact is that he has to be bald for like at least a little while. soo yeah i am still working on avarice in that au it. um. yeha it isnt going well LOL so you get a normal avarice too. also rhese r very wuick and i think its been like A month since i actually drew. not just 4 my map
maybe ill draw them. ome time
#im bummedd i rly liked the face on the first scientist i wish i had judt done her normie#but its difficult...#bc its like a. vaguely medieval renaissance#and. teeheed. my dark secret is i might just put them into my medieval world. bc i make ze rules#i also think then i could have more fun w magic and whatebers goinf on with cadaver you know how he is#this au is the losse conglomeration of things i imagine abt them when i listen to lay all your love on me and um lust for a vampyr.... it#all makes much sense to ME! but unfortunately it doesnt yet make sense w the lore bc im xurrently adeciding#if im going to port my 'extant' magic system (its very very very rudimentary) into my new beautiful world. the issue is i work on everything#disparetely i love to make a setting but when i make xharacters i dont rly think of a setting i just partay. and sometimes i like to#overthink random little things but then i dont attach them 2 anything. all rly sad.#HOWEVER i think my vampire lore rhat i had worked up could be rly good for the au... I hadnt fully worked out a lot of the like Vampire#stuff but theyre essentially like. extra powerful magic users#bc everybody has magic blood but theyve got. etc. ill tweak it probably...#but i thjnk thatd suit his whole healing thing#i could even have him be the only one who knows how to get like. og vampirism#bc vampires can turn thangs into vampires but its diluted the further u go if that makes sense. well. yk. im working on it its something#like that. but i could have him be The first vampire#and dhat sort of fits with some of the things ive been cooking for him#while also still keeping his like. Extra uncanniness stuff going on. since hed be like. Of all vampires (which id inagine there r few) hed#be like.. the least human. yk. omg wait im like viewing a plot in my mind. maybe its derivative though actually. probably jrs derivative.#wtvrr ill work on it all... but maybe i can oeekies at my map and figure out where they might live...#scientist would be sort of a. a scholar of some kind obviously... i dont know if shed be a court mage or if shes just be sort of a freelance#scholar. but i do like the idea of her having a Boss or like. a benefactor to deal with. and ive got this one character ive had cooking 4 a#while i might be able to work in as some sort of apprentice figure...#<- its a character who i sort of made up tonfill a role in a different au with these 2 but i think its fun. sooo. we will see.#i also think itd be nice for the two of them to have somebody to bounce off who isnt just them. even tho by nature theyre kindnof made to be#Sorrnof wrapped up in eachother. YK. im working on it

in honour of lando saying he has the most laughs with daniel and Daniel's his favourite teammate (jennifer lawrence sobbing: what do you mean WHAT DO YOU MEAN), i think time to rewatch Dando Take on the Start-Stop Challenge! the exclamation mark comes from the original video title because no video has ever more deserved to be titled with an exclamation mark.
this video is peak for me because it's a combo of daniel being really hot whilst drifting, lando being "quite scared", and both of them being stupider than you can imagine in more ways that you can imagine.
"got a proper visor on this bad boy, man," says lando, looking stupider than anyone has ever looked. but daniel says he looks like an nfl player and we all know enough about daniel to understand it's the ultimately compliment coming from him and like i don't think it had happened by the time this video was filmed but i do think daniel and lando have seen each other's dicks and we might as well just get that out of the way as we're establishing the baseline of this post.
like at a minimum whilst lando was visiting in australia and they were out bush peeing side by side.
and i feel like. idk. we've already got video of daniel seeing and complimenting the size of lando's hands, it's not such a stretch to assume that, well -- we've got a lot of video to cover, so we move onward.
I don't know what the marketing team thought was going to happen, but lando and daniel (mostly lando) do not know the answers to these questions. it's so funny in the first round because lando gets everything wrong and daniel just says "no" and asks the next question. Does daniel himself know the answers? i feel not. but he's having so much fun driving the car.
"when is my birthday?" "oh no" says lando, who doesn't even know the birthday of his best friend.
but then, when it really starts getting cute, lando asks for an easy one and daniel says, "what's my name?" things i like about this: number one, friendship. number two, we get to see them scoot around to the opposite sides of the car. number three, daniel uses it as an opportunity to press their faces together. "hello" he says, touching helmet visors with lando. "h-h-hi" replies lando.
"Can i come for a ride?" daniel asks, climbing into the car weirder than anyone has ever done it before. how does he make getting into the seat SO MUCH? but he does. And lando offers: "do you want to sit on my lap?"
guys.
i love this video.
i'm so happy i'm rewatching it right now.
then daniel manages to get the second question correct, but instead of getting lando to stop the car to switch back, he says "drift drift drift give it some give it some." i really restrained myself from quoting everything daniel said that sounds like dirty talk, but that was most of it.
they switch back and lando manages to get in the passenger seat without putting his head in daniel's lap at all, which is how you know it's possible to do and daniel is simply choosing not to.
the thing we know for sure about lando - he's said it explicitly: he does not like being bad about things. picture lando in any grill the grid video where he's just failed to identify canada on a map (i'll never forgive him nor do i care to try). he looks like he's already swallowed the cyanide. and now think of this lando, giggling, his soft little awws when he gets yet another answer wrong. do you know how much fun you have to be to keep lando laughing even while he's getting absolutely every question wrong? because daniel does.
it makes me sick, actually, thinking about how they kept teeing each other up with easy answers to try to give the other one the win in the end. it makes me insane thinking about how they both leaned in to the joke (THO NOT AS INSANE AS WHEN DANIEL LEANED HIS HEAD INTO LANDO'S CROTCH). and like it's one reason why i just don't understand people claiming lando has no social skills. there are so many examples of him perfectly in sync with so many different people, in the zone where they're both matching each other's energy and absolutely vibing.
the way by the end of the video they're both panting and shrieking and laughing and like lando saying the most important thing to him is getting to have a laugh and how daniel was the teammate he laughed with the most and they did. they did laugh.
"how many times have i won monaco?" daniel asks. "TWICE!" "Noooo." and then they both have a holler. "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TWICE" lando shouts while daniel pretends to sob.
"you tried to give me such easy ones," lando says, and like that's why this video is peak for me. they seem like they're legitimately having fun. by the end they're completely ignoring the marketing scripted questions and just both asking each other about daniel's restaurant reservations.
"it was intimate," daniel says, at the video closes. the mclaren, bla bla, but in fact i believe it was his choice to put his head in lando lap every time they changed seats. "we clashed heads a few times" "his head was on my lap a few times". yes. yes it was.
and then. "hey, c'mon. bring it in." and a full press chest to chest hug, alternating upsie and downsie arms, chins on shoulders. "mhh, buddy bear" daniel says whilst squeezing lando breathless.
that's the stuff.

doomsday dnd au posts pt 2: plot this time
Tumblr media
this au's a collab effort between me, maruu @xmaruu11, chris @chrisrin, cj @cjskribblez, and smurg @smurgle !! it draws on our life games, woven life and sands of life, as well as the ctm map we completed, divinity's end
this whole summary is just for the AU setup. its just like. prologue. uh. tho im putting it under a cut bc it's very long
if you havent seen the post with the characters and designs, check that out here
Ellery, Iscariot, Syyrin, and Flint are all members of a cult following Myrkul, living at a temple founded and run by Ellery and Syyrin. the cult is fairly passive and respectful of death, but is slowly being invaded by worships of Cyric, a traitorous and power-hungry god of traitorous and power-hungry followers.
[full disclosure for my readers who know dnd: while myrkul and cyric do come from canon sources, we did not stick that closely to the actual dnd canon and sorta half winged it. forgive us for our inconsistencies]
the worshippers of Cyric are lead by a man called Mabuz (aka the curator, the antagonist from divinity's end, who we did have to give a name for this). Mabuz is slowly converting Myrkul's followers to his cause, as well as bringing in followers of his own. this is how Iscariot joins the temple, brought in as muscle in Mabuz's plans for takeover.
Iscariot is slowly losing faith in Cyric until one day he finds his magic disappears entirely. unsure what to do about it, he speaks to Ellery about his sudden loss in magic. Ellery offers him sympathy and understanding, telling him doubt and wavering are a natural part of faith, and that things will eventually work out for him. sympathy is a new experience for Iscariot, who finds this to be an incredibly important conversation, though it isn't enough to bring his magic back
shortly after this, Ellery receives a premonition. Ellery is a prophet, and his god gives him a vision about the end of the world—burning red skies, rains of ash, monsters loose on the world. he tells the cult about it, though with no intention to prevent it—their temple embraces death, and he sees no reason to interfere. even so, the temple residents are split about what the vision means
many of Myrkul's worshipers, such as Ellery, take it as a simple fact. the world will end, and this is basically just a heads-up from their god.
the scheming Cyric group, however, see an opportunity. they believe that, if they bring about the apocalypse, they can shape it, taking ultimate power in the new world and ruling over it
they decide to cause the apocalypse by killing a god—specifically Myrkul. defeating death will grant them power beyond anything else, and this allows them to destroy the members of the temple who doubt their vision
they start this ritual process by killing Myrkul's prophet, Ellery
Mabuz gathers a small group of his supporters and meet Ellery alone in his office. they propose what they call a ritual in honor of Myrkul, sending his most favored ahead to help him in his grand task of welcome the entire world's population. he lists a few of the many members of the cult who have swapped sides, none of which are the people in the room with them, and says all of them are in support of this ritual plan
Ellery is... unconvinced
despite Ellery's position and his faith, he really is afraid to die. besides, Myrkul is patient, and he sees no reason to cut any life short. Mabuz doesn't really listen—he doesn't believe anything he says anyway, he just needs Ellery dead
they argue, and their argument is loud enough to draw Flint's attention. Flint doesn't catch most of it, but Mabuz says fine, Ellery, if you don't want to help us complete our ritual, we'll just ask other faithful members, like Flint here.
Ellery recognizes the threat for what it is and caves, agreeing to the ritual so long as none of his friends are hurt
Flint can tell there's something more happening, but despite his constant snooping, he doesn't figure out exactly what they'd been arguing about that night or what the ritual will be
Syyrin is the one who makes the blade. Mabuz tells her to make the blade for Ellery, but doesn't tell her the occasion. she consults Ellery on the design. despite their usual easy trust and partnership, Ellery doesn't want to tip Syyrin off as to why she's making the weapon or what's going to happen to him, as he doesn't want her to get hurt trying to save him
though Flint and Syyrin both know something is up, neither think to put their heads together about it, so they're never able to get answers
Ellery is weirdly quiet during the next few days. he spends a lot of time near Syyrin and Flint, though doesn't say much. he's convinced, on some level, that this is his own fault, and that he's to blame for his and his friends' lives being in danger. this wouldn't be happening if he hadn't talked about the vision he'd received
after a week, the blade is complete, and the ritual proceeds
(though Mabuz lets Flint roam free despite his sticking his nose in everything all the time to keep Ellery from going back on their agreement, the day before the ritual, Flint sillies a little too close to the sun and finds out what the plan is. Mabuz detains Flint before Flint can tell the others Ellery is going to be killed today. neither Ellery nor Syyrin realize he’s been captured—Syyrin only finds out after Ellery is already dead)
Iscariot is the executioner. he thinks this must be a test of faith from Cyric—if he can kill the man who showed him compassion, he must be able to affirm his oath, and he'll get his magic back
Ellery doesn't want to die. though he's comfortable with death, the act of dying terrifies him. he tries his absolute best not to show it, though, as he doesn't want his friends to fight and get themselves hurt
after Ellery is killed, Mabuz announces the ritual's true purpose: weakening Myrkul in order to destroy him. in another week's time, they'll attempt a second, larger ritual, sacrificing many to gain enough power to kill Myrkul. everyone has two choices: accept Cyric, or be among the sacrifices
(which, L for Flint. he's already on the list)
Mabuz leaves Ellery’s body on the altar. the blade is left in his chest. if anyone touches it, they'll be assumed a Myrkul worshipper and locked away for slaughter in the coming ritual
in the week between Ellery's death and the full ritual, Syyrin manages to lie her way into convincing Mabuz she's down with Cyric, and she begins planning an escape for herself and Flint. other sacrifices they've collected/readied are brought in, including Mar. Mar and Flint meet in their week of captivity, though they can't talk that much in different cells. Iscariot's magic does not come back, and he realizes his test didn't pay off
the first sacrifice in the second ritual is Mar. as a life cleric, she stands out as one of the most powerful sacrifices. it’s again Iscariot who does it, pulling the same weapon Ellery was killed with out of his (still there) corpse to drive her through
as she dies, Mar casts revivify. she intends to revive herself, which does work, though far better than she intends it to: Mar revives not only herself, but also accidentally revives Ellery, as his body is still. there. on the altar
(there's only one soul, though, split over two bodies) (deadsea soulmates forever babyyyyy)
the confusion and chaos is immediate. Mabuz isn't really sure what to do about his sacrifice getting back up, but Mar bolts before he can decide. Mabuz and a few of his cultists run after her in an attempt to salvage their ritual.
Iscariot does not follow, because his faith isn't really in the Cyric worship thing anymore, anyway
a moment after the majority of their group runs off, Ellery sits up. he's a lot slower, his body having been rotted and worm-eaten for a week, and he's incredibly dazed. his revival leaves him without memories, and he's not really sure where he is, what's going on, or even his own name
(he's come back wrong in a lot of ways. one of his eyes is missing, eaten by maggots. he doesn't breathe anymore, and his body has started to rot, leaving him with several patches of exposed bone. before his death, he'd spent all his time in Autumn mode, with orange hair and skin, in reference to his autumnal god. after his revival, he seems to be stuck in winter, with white hair and blueish-white skin)
Iscariot sees Ellery is back and is like oh shit?
Iscariot had been having a crisis of faith, and was able to manage it only through belief in Ellery’s words. he thought killing Ellery for his god would bring his magic back, and Ellery's death only left him feeling more lost.
seeing Ellery back, Iscariot believes in him more than any god
so. he helps Ellery up and decides he's going to protect him, get him to safety. and he looks to Ellery and asks, where do we go?
Ellery has no idea what’s going on. he remembers his god and his faith, but that's... about it. he has full amnesia for his own personal life. he can’t remember where he is or what’s going on. he doesnt know who the man helping him is, though he can see Iscariot wears the emblems of his god, so he trusts him.
Ellery knows there's a hole in his chest—not just the literal stab wound, but something deeper. some part of him is missing—“half his soul is gone, he thinks. his heart is outside his body, and he can feel it moving farther and farther away from him
Ellery follows that feeling, drawn to and seeking out Mar without even really knowing what he's looking for. Iscariot assumes Ellery knows some hidden passage out and follows
while Mar is running/hiding, Syyrin sees the commotion and slips back down to the cells where all the other sacrifices were held. she releases Flint, since she'd been planning his escape anyway. she also frees the other sacrifices-to-be as well, trying to cause a distraction so the two of them can escape. neither of them know about the revivals, they just know something went wrong
Flint and Syyrin had created a hide away, a little secret fort only the two of them knew about. it has a path to the surface and some supplies which Syyrin had been gathering over the last week to prepare their escape, which they begin packing for in earnest with the assorted supplies Syyrin had managed to squirrel away
(this isn't relevant but it's important to me you know this: in both of our two CTM monuments, CJ and Smurg have built weird little secret bases in the walls. i need you to know this is a reference to their secret little mole holes. neither Chris nor Maruu noticed them making these either time but i did and i need to expose them for these)
Ellery stumbles blindly to Mar, who was already panicking quite a bit, and is now panicking more because there’s the corpse and the guy who just killed her. Ellery is immediately struck by the feeling he knows her, though he doesn't know why. this is the heart he was looking for, he's sure, and he starts trying to calm her down. he says he’s not trying to die again and Iscariot says he doesn’t really believe in this faith anyway. Ellery also explains they're trying to escape, and he'd like to help her get away from here
Mar feels that same tug Ellery does, a feeling of emptiness that disappears when he's near. she decides to flee with the two of them, despite her wariness, because she'll be safer in a group of three than by herself
the three of them try to flee, but between an amnesiac, a new and disillusioned cultist, and a sacrifice, literally none of them know where they’re going, especially with so much chaos. the newly-freed sacrifices are running and fighting in the temple, and the Cyric cultists trying to recapture and slay them. the execution trio are kind of just... sneaking and wandering and hoping for a lucky break
their wandering leads them by Flint and Syyrin's base, and Flint and Syyrin see Ellery and another sacrifice and pull the three of them inside. Syyrin explains their escape plan, they get Mar's sacrifice wound and Ellery's wack rot wounds bandaged, and Ellery and Mar get a less bloody change of clothes. Ellery is, again, unusually quiet, but Syyrin figures it's shock and takes the lead in readying their escape
out in the temple, some of the ritual actually does happen. the Cyric cultists manage to hunt down and kill some of their intended sacrifices, furthering their gathering of power. even the sacrifices who kill cultists in self defense accidentally contribute to the ritual’s completion, gathering enough blood for Mabuz to recite his incantation and attack Myrkul
but Mar did fuck up the ritual. Myrkul isn't killed, but shattered, pieces of him scattered across the world
Syyrin and Flint lead the group through the hideaway's secret exit to the surface, allowing all five of them to escape. they emerge into the world to find the world halfway to ruin, the apocalypse halfway started. burning red skies, rains of ash, the distant cries of monster. this, Ellery actually recognizes—this is the apocalypse he saw in his vision
the five of them now have a new mission: find and collect the pieces of Myrkul to put Myrkul back together. revive him and set the world right again. this setup is based on the CTM map format—Capture the Monument maps require players to make their way through different areas and collect special wool (or discs, in the map we played) from the end of each area to bring back to their monument, and players win once they’ve collected all the wool
(CTM stands for “Capture the Myrkul” trust)
we haven’t fleshed out most of the actual “campaign” (bc the au is only like. 4 days old) though a lot of what we HAVE talked about is the characters learning how to manage the conflicts of the new group they’ve found themselves in. stuff like Mar resenting Iscariot for killing her without even apologizing, or Syyrin or Flint’s feelings on Ellery’s amnesia meaning he’s completely forgot their friendships (to name two conflicts among the. lots of bullshit these guys have going on), all while heading through the areas of the divinity’s end map looking for the discs the pieces of Myrkul

With my 6th sense. (1)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Hunter x fem! jedi reader
Rating: this is the first chapter let's take it slow
Wordcount: 2.2K
Chapters: (2) (3) (4)* (5)* (*not posted yet)
Warnings and tags: use of (Y/N) but I keep it as minimum as possible tho my writing style is in 3rd person, so it's a bit difficult! apart from that none really, just introduction to the story, slight mentions of war maybe, but i can already tell you, this will be an ''i hate you-to-love you'' (calling them enemies doesn't really fit in)
Summary: (This story happens about around a year before The Bad Batch is introduced in The Clone Wars) Another day, another suicide mission for the squad. This time commanded by a jedi general they've never hear about.
A/N: I'm back after MONTHS with a new hyperfixation and no one can stop me. I'm jumping really late to TBB ship but I guess I would give it a try. Or write it for myself. As always, I'll make it a small series, and I hope all of you will enjoy it ♥ (my main language is not english so sorry if there are some mistakes)
Side note: PLEASE read the intro with the voice of The Clone Wars intro, thanks.

Coruscant!
In the aftermath of the Republic's recent defeat in the growing war in the outer rim, the Jedi Order finds itself at a crossroads, and generals such as Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and (Y/N) convene to strategize their next move in a desperate bid to stop the advance of the Separatist invasions. As they discuss their next course of action, each voice carries the weight of the galaxy's fate. For the Republic's survival hangs in the balance, and only through unity and courage can they hope to emerge victorious against the relentless onslaught of their enemies.
"Feels like they can predict our every move," Master Mace Windu exhales, his eyes glued to the holomap of the base, his hand thoughtfully stroking his chin. The dim light of the briefing room casts a stern shadow on his face, reflecting the gravity of the situation.
"And it's not just that," Obi-Wan interjects, his voice carrying a mix of frustration and concern. "During our last mission, Anakin and I encountered a new type of battle droid..." He sighs heavily, shaking his head as if trying to dispel the memory. His eyes narrow as he recalls the encounter. "This droid kept its distance, observing us while we dealt with all the others. By the time it engaged, it had analyzed, memorized, and adapted to our combat patterns. It knew exactly how to dodge our attacks and counterattack almost instantly."
"Are you serious?" (Y/N) asks, her brows furrowed in disbelief, crossing her arms over her chest. That sounds like a nightmare. Sure, a sniper could take it out from a distance, but up close? For them Jedi, trained in close combat, it could be a real pain in the ass.
"Yeah, and that's putting it mildly," Obi-Wan replies, his voice tinged with worry. "Anakin believes it's still in the development phase. The droid's assembly was far from perfect, almost like it was a prototype. But if they keep working on it, refining it... it could become a serious threat."
The room falls into a tense silence, so thick it almost feels suffocating. The three Jedi and Commander Cody, standing to Obi-Wan's right and always ready to offer some tactical advice, know what this means: if they want to halt the development of these new droids, or at least stay a step ahead, they need to steal the blueprints, and the Separatist droid blueprints are securely kept in…
"Looks like one lucky squad’s gonna have the great honor of infiltrating Serenno," the younger Jedi breaks the silence with a touch of sarcasm, tapping a few buttons on the holo-map to display the planet in question. Almost unexplored, impossible to get ships close enough to scan it completely.
"That’s too reckless," Windu comments immediately.
"It’s a suicide mission," Obi-Wan agrees.
"It’s risky, but not impossible."
"You spend way too much time with Anakin."
"Actually, Anakin spends too much time with me," she corrects with a playful smirk, crossing her arms again and leaning back against one of the control panels behind her.
"If I may…" Cody interjects, stepping forward and nodding to formally request the floor. Windu acknowledges him with a nod of his own. "A mission like this needs a small team. No more than four or five soldiers, with one of you leading. And I know just the squad for the job."
"The 501st?" Windu asks, his brow raised, well aware of the battalion’s formidable reputation.
"No," Cody shakes his head, his helmet tucked under his left arm. "Clone Force 99. I've worked with them before. They’re elite commandos, defective clones with desirable and really convenient mutations. Their success rate on high-risk missions is 100%."
"But...?" (Y/N) catches a deep, well hidden hint of hesitation in the commander's voice and refuses to let it slide. She raises an eyebrow, tilting her head to the side to scrutinize him closely.
"But," Cody clears his throat, aware of how his words might sound for the Jedi, "let’s just say they’re an unconventional squad. Their methods don’t exactly mesh well with captains, commanders, or generals who aren’t flexible or willing to...improvise on the fly, or disregard orders from above."
"That description sounds vaguely familiar," Obi-Wan remarks, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he blatantly turns his head to look at her. She purses her lips and shrugs, as if the comment had nothing to do with her peaceful persona.
"I just like being practical, and let’s be honest, plans usually never work out as we would like them to. Following orders isn’t always the best option on the table when the situation becomes a life or death type of scenario."
"I think we’ve found the perfect person to lead this mission," Obi-Wan concludes, a knowing smile spreading across his face.
(Y/N) and Obi-Wan then turn their gaze towards Windu, who appears to be deeply pondering the situation. It’s a dangerous mission, far too dangerous. Infiltrating Serenno could be compared to a Separatist squadron trying to infiltrate Coruscant right now. Reckless, not worthy at all. And even though she has proven her capabilities time and again, earning the respect of the Jedi Council since before she was knighted, this exceeds the usual risks they take. But at the same time, if they don't do it, they could lose more than just a squad—and with bad luck, a Jedi.
"Go ahead," Windu finally says, his tone decisive.
"Great, infiltrating the heart of enemy territory is always my favorite kind of mission," she quips, a hint of sarcasm in her voice, a smirk tugging at her lips.
...
"I had no clue there were defective clones out there," Obi-Wan remarks, arms folded, his gaze scanning the distant skyline of Coruscant from the base.
"Me neither, but the whole idea of working with a bunch or weird, mutant clones sounds fascinating," (Y/N) replies without missing a beat, a spark of excitement lighting up her eyes as she contemplates leading such an unconventional mission. She's still one of the few Jedi without a permanent legion or squad under her command, always bouncing from one assignment to another, going wherever she's needed as reinforcement. A bit like the 99, Cody thinks, observing both Jedi with a smile playing on his lips.
"You're about to find out just how interesting they can be, General."
And as if his statement was a cue and they were living in a movie, a shuttle rockets onto the landing pad, causing chaos among the ground crew. Its engines roar as it touches down, sending crates of military gear flying through the air like confetti at a parade.
"Someone just lost their flight rights." She mutters, a wide grin spreading across her face. Obi-Wan -ever so subtle- smirks beside her, wondering which of those so-called elite defective clones managed to botch a landing so badly. Did they miss their flying lessons?
The ramp of the shuttle, which she discovers it's heavily customized now that she can take a better look at it, slowly lowers, revealing four individuals waiting to come out, each more particular than the last. Their armor, adorned in black and red, seems customized to what (Y/N) guesses are their individual strengths and quirks.
The first one down the ramp, still wearing his helmet, glances around as if assessing the potential damage done to the landing pad. From his body language alone, she would expect him to be the genius who managed that landing. What she doesn’t expect, though, is his face under the helmet. Actually, none of theirs.
"Well, they certainly don’t look like clones," Obi-Wan comments a bit louder than intended, but he's right. They all share a distant resemblance to the regular clones—maybe like... distant cousins—but if they weren’t in the army, you’d never guess they were clones at all. Each one of them is… unique, and they’ve already piqued (Y/N)’s curiosity even before a proper introduction.
"Commander," one of them greets Cody as soon as the squad reaches them, raising a hand to shake his own. His long, dark, wavy hair is already distinctive enough, but his tattooed face really adds to his intimidating persona. He truly looks like someone who could kill you in a matter of seconds if he wanted to.
"Good to see you, Sergeant. It’s been a while. This is Jedi General (Y/N)," Cody introduces her, and she nods at them with a charming small smile plastered on her face. "She'll be leading this suicide mission and will be your only reinforcement this time."
It might just be her imagination, really, but she could swear the clone Cody referred to as sergeant is not exactly happy with the sudden news about the mission’s command. Feeling as if a speeder had just run over her a thousand parsecs per hour, and judging by the way he suddenly looks her up and down to the speed of light, silently analyzing her, she'd say this strong feeling of rejection she perceives through the Force, comes from him.
Awh, she didn’t even open her mouth yet and she’s already made a new friend. How cute.
"General," he nods politely, like any good soldier would have done, but with this… noticeable detachment in his manner. "Sergeant Hunter of Clone Force 99. These are Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair." He introduces his team one by one, each giving the Jedi a quick glance and a nod.
‘’Let me guess,’’ she starts, biting the inside of her cheek before pointing with one of her right fingers to each one of them. ‘’you’re fast and probably have better sight or hearing. You, on the other hand, are the smart one.’’ The jedi refers to Tech, who is clearly and unashamedly the brains of the squad. Those glasses and the datapad he constantly checks? A walking stereotype. He nods in agreement, tho, while Hunter tries to roll his eyes without being noticed. And miserably fails, but she doesn’t pay attention to it. ‘’You’re the strong one, and you’re the sniper.’’ And she’s sure she doesn’t need to point out why, how, she knows that; the target tattoo around his eye blatantly giving him away.
"Wait, you're a Jedi?" Wrecker, the burliest of the group and seemingly the cute, dumb one, asks with a hint of disbelief as he eyes her hair and attire. She quickly realizes that her dark and tactical outfit—cargo pants, military boots, a snug top with protective padding on her shoulders and a tight vest—doesn't exactly scream "Jedi." But she's always been more comfortable on the front lines than behind the clones she commands, and a robe would just get in the way during a fight. Obi-Wan's still not happy about that.
"Yeah, last time I checked," she replies with a smile, his enthusiasm infectious as she meets Wrecker's gaze. His expression widens, as happy and excited as a kid in a candy store.
"Isn't that awesome, Sergeant? We're gonna see some of those Force tricks up close," Wrecker adds eagerly, nudging his fellow clone.
"Yeah, awesome," Hunter mutters, seemingly uninterested in the conversation as he quickly changes the subject. What's his problem? "So, General, what kind of death trap are we heading into this time?"
"I'll fill you in on all the details on our way; the journey will be long," She answers, shrugging nonchalantly, her hands clasped behind her back.
"Then let's get going!" Wrecker exclaims again, and his whole squad follows him back to the shuttle after a quick farewell to Cody. (Y/N) can't help but notice the way the proclaimed sergeant's eyes lingered on her for just a couple seconds before turning away, wondering about the coldness she feels emanating from him towards her. If their paths had crossed on another mission, she would have remembered, and even so, she's always the life of the party on any mission! She might take offense if she wasn't used to not fitting in even among her own. At least, she tells herself as she exhales a soft sigh, he's attractive, so she'll deal with the mission and his shitty attitude by enjoying his pretty face as a reward for her outstanding patience.
"You're staring," Obi-Wan scolds her under his breath, witnessing their previous interaction, giving the younger Jedi a gentle elbow nudge.
"Being a Jedi means not getting attached, not gouging your eyes out and depriving yourself of good views," she responds without missing a beat, smiling charmingly at him. She's so cheeky, Obi-Wan thinks to himself, exactly like her old master, Kit Fisto.
"Ah, -I completely forgot-, wait!" The Jedi calls out to Clone Force 99, causing everyone to freeze and turn to look at her. "Before we go, you guys need to change your clothes."
The clones look at each other, confused. Wrecker is the first to speak up. "What’s wrong with our gear?"
She steps forward, arms crossed. "Nothing if you want to stick out like a rancor in a china shop. We're going undercover."
Hunter narrows his eyes slightly, not exactly liking what he just heard. "And what exactly do you suggest, General?"
She smirks, his reluctance kinda funny to her. "Something a bit less... militaristic. Follow me, I'll show you where you can get changed."
Wrecker shrugs, clearly unfazed. "As long as I don't have to wear a dress," he jokes, eliciting a low chuckle from Crosshair. ''those never have pockets, and I need to carry some grenades.''
Hunter, on the other hand, remains stoic, his gaze fixed on the jedi, his now general during this mission. There’s a flicker of something in his eyes—doubt, maybe even distrust—but he nods. "Lead the way."
And as they do as being told, Obi-Wan falls into step beside her. "You sure about this?"
She nods, her expression determined. "Absolutely, what could go wrong?"

Wait a minute, you're right. Carmilla should have sent or at least taken Lenore, the designated diplomat, with her to Castlevania. We know the reason she didn't (the writers hadn't created the character yet), but it's still sloppy storytelling.
When you think about it, in retrospect, every other member of the Styrian council would have been a better fit than Carmilla.
As we said, Lenore is a diplomat. The actual job of a diplomat is precisely to find compromises between different sides and cultures. And the castle was teeming with annoyed vampires from all over the world! That was literally her environment! She could have tried to be the voice of reason and calm everyone down so that everyone had a reason to follow Dracula! Of course, if we assume she can really do her job and isn't not just an excuse to sexually molest people :P
But it's not just her. Striga and Morana are the head of the army. Striga in particular is a strategist! We see her nose deep in maps, trying to come up with a plan to attack the border, and valuing the cost of using Night Creatures. She would have been a key asset for Dracula, and brought sense to his war! Morana is less useful, but it's implied her main role is money management, so she could have helped Striga in that department. One thinks of the war plans, the other thinks of how to go with them in the most efficient way possible.
Carmilla, as described in S3, is pointless. She's reduced to being "the visionary" of the group. She's "the spark", the inspiration. In short, she's the one having the crazy ideas, and the others scramble to make them reality. But that's not what Dracula needed in S2. He wanted people to make an effort for him.
"But she's clearly the leader of the Council" why tho? Who put her there? Is it merely because she's the oldest, not that we know a thing about the history of the council? That can only carry you so far. Charisma is not a good substitute for good leadership. S3 and S4 all but state that Styria kept itself upright only because Carmilla had external support, and the second she pushed the others away, it all crumbled like a sand castle in a storm. But I could rant for hours about how fragmented and unstable the council is.
"But she only planned to steal that castle from Dracula, not actually help him!" One, she could have still brought fellow manipulator Lenore with her to sow more discord, and justified it as we said. Two, no, she didn't know what she would have found there: it's when she arrived that she saw a weak leader and unsure generals. Three, she's so fucking bad at manipulation that the writing had to beat Dracula, Hector and Isaac in the head until they lost 75% of their brain and could make her look smart, so the story simply doesn't work.
The way Carmilla is depicted in the latter half is pretty insulting if you go and rewatch S2, where she was painted to be a solid regional ruler, one used to having no allies (implicitly because they all underestimated her due to being a woman, which would make her twice as aggressive and cunning) and therefore not afraid of getting her hands dirty. She saw an issue, a weakness in Dracula, and knew how to take advantage of that (ignore the idiot plot). As I said in the past, you go listen to his radfem rant in S2E5, and you try to tell me this is a person who can only sit on her throne, pipe up with "hey besties I got an idea!" and expects the other queens to do the job for her.
I know that S2 already implied she's not as rational as she liked to be: see her absolutely brutal, upsetting and completely unwarranted beatdown of Hector. I actually liked that in S3 they all called her an idiot for that. But it's like the writers flanderized her starting from that scene, on top of reducing her role for the sake of making room for Ms. Fanservice ft. petplay. I can only imagine how fans hyped to see how Carmilla would keep have psychological warfare with Hector felt when she all but forgot about her new crucial asset, even in S4 as she can't be bothered to check on him and ask him what's taking him so long. Nah, why would she? She's insane and inefficient :) a male ex-slave could do a better job at being a ruler than this centuries-old hysterical vampiress :))))
I must insist: I don't like Carmilla, and I have no respect for her. She's a parody, a caricature of a radfem written by a man who clearly had a low opinion on women. She's obnoxious, charmless, and completely derailed a plot that worked perfectly without her. But I can still say she was done dirty, almost in the realm as Dracula and Trevor (not Hector, no one was written worse than him). You can see how quickly the writers got bored of her and her concept, which was actually pretty interesting radfeminism aside, and started churning OCs on top of OCs to keep the story fresh. And incidentally created a horrible narrative where a woman victim of abuse and lashing out at the world, exactly like bapyboy Isaac was doing, is put down like a rabid dog because no one, not even the friends that allegedly kept her safe in her kingdom, cared about her, because she went insane in the span of a month and that was enough to deem her too dangerous and a burden.
i think i went off the rails lol. Anyway, yeah, you can tell the council was added posthumously and they weren't part of Carmilla's character in S2. And I blame them for the degrade in the writing.

I forgor my sketchbook so here’s a map of full Ordon on a sticky note! It’s not final stuff but I wanted to jot down some ideas
Ordon seems way too small for me. A farming town with like, 5 families? That’s too small for it to be functional I feel, and they probably did that cuz designing so many characters for something so close to Link would be too much effort. Which I understand. But it means I can expand it!
The Ordon we know and love is the “capital” of Ordon, and it’s called North Ordon. (Highlighted in green). This holds the ranch which is the biggest thing for Ordon, as in it makes the money for them. They also grow a lot of pumpkins and they sell a lot of stuff to Hyrule. They make milk, cheese, and butter thanks to the goats there, and the residents of Hyrule love it. Overall more booming than the other places
East Ordon (in orange, you can barely see the color lol) is actually pretty friendly with north Ordon. They grow a lot of crops that they trade with North Ordon, but they mostly keep to their small communities. They have very large stretches of land for farmwork and that’s to feed each other. But again, they give some to North Ordon.
South Ordon is some more ranch work, but it’s not shared with Hyrule and is instead shared with Holodrum, which is closer to them. They have pigs, cows, and horses that they raise. They don’t have a ton of farm land compared to East Ordon tho. But they make do. They’re pretty disconnected from the north but not too much. It’s more like a playful “we’re better than you” kind of thing.
The Deep South is the retirement place. It has a pretty lake, it’s surrounded by thick trees, and it’s where villagers go when they get too old (if they want to). I noticed there’s no old people in Ordon (and realistically there’d barely be any lol) but I thought it’d be fun to put them in that place. Obviously they have people there to get them food and stuff but it’s a peaceful place and very well hidden. It’s also where people are buried.
And West Ordon is more “redneck” than the other places. And when I say redneck I don’t mean “cowboys bein cool” and whatever. I mean redneck as in “I fear for my life around these people” (where I’m from, we have people like that and it’s fun). Obviously they’re not evil, that’s just an impression the others have of them. But they don’t like outsiders and so the other sections of Ordon leave them be unless they need to do something. Def an odd place. The black sheep of the province if you will.

I was curious if you had any head canons pertaining to Malik Al-Sayf and him as a person? Let's forget that he is an assassin for a second and focus on him as an individual. Like is he comfortable with the loss of his left arm or is he embarrassed by it? What sparked his interest in maps and making them? Why was he so close with Kadar his baby brother? The more humanizing elements.
INDEED, I DO HAVE HEADCANNONS ABOUT THE DAI OF JERUSALEM! Ahem... But fr tho I do have a lot of head cannons about Malik as a person.
I don't know why...but he gives major "I'm abusive and angry toward the idiot novice but I'm actually really sweet" vibes. I think he's a total sweetie bear behind constantly humbling Altair lol
I think we ALL know that Altair's redemption arc wouldn't have been the same without Malik's verbal bashings and occasional scroll throwing.
About the loss of his left arm...
He was angry at first. Very angry. He had plans of how he wanted to help the Brotherhood and further their cause he so believes in, and then suddenly it was all taken away. He was told that he could no longer be in the field lest he be unnecessarily slain and then sent to Jerusalem. (This winds up fueling his spite and he became obsessed with mastering one armed swordsmanship...to the point where he could put two armed Altair on his ass lol)
Now he did go of his own free will, but he knew they put him in charge to soothe any battered ego he had. The man felt that it was a form of pity and emotional smothering. He had felt that Al Mualim had "requested" him to depart from Masyaf as a way to keep him from killing Altair... because he wanted to. He had felt...betrayed by what he believed in after it took so much from him and then it just swept him to the side like an old sandal. But being away and trying to focus on his responsibilities helped. Being alone also gave him time to cool down from his anger and focus on mourning his baby brother which he needed a lot of time to do.
He's not necessarily embarrassed by losing his arm, but he does feel inconvenienced by it from time to time. Forgetting that he no longer has a left hand to multitask and reach for things with. He was mad when he discovered that he couldn't carry as many books as he used to be able to, but he's smart so he found ways to get by (one of them including making a certain novice carry them lest he refuse and get bonked on his hooded coconut)
Malik can handle himself and you just KNOW that he mastered his f- you glare by giving the death stare to anyone who looked for too long ahaha. He does not appreciate staring AT ALL. He has eyes to make eye contact with hello. He also gets tired of explaining his sudden missing limb and of people expressing sympathy at the beginning because it just refreshes everything - plus he's Malik Al-Sayf OKAY he doesn't need BOTH ARMS to be a BADASSARINO.
He also feels vulnerable from time to time, and he doesn't like that one bit. He already lives a high alert lifestyle so losing his arm put him on peak "don't touch me or I won't hesitate" mode. The vulnerability wore on him for a while but eventually he became confident enough in his skills to protect himself again and his love helped too.
Though in a way he does appreciate the new awareness that losing his arm has brought him. It made him more reactions quicker and he became more responsive - such as a catching a falling book in the blink of an eye or blocking the cat from bapping his quill in the inkwell and knocking it over lol. (He has a cat in there with him and you CAN'T TELL ME OTHERWISE)
As for his interest in maps and making them...
We know that Malik was jealous of the way that Altair from a young age was "the favorite" of Al Mualim - so we can assume that he does in fact feel jealousy and it affects him on different levels. Whether it consists of the manifestation of saltiness toward the one he's jealous of, or it results in him learning a new skill. SO -
Malik was jealous of the eagles. Yes, the bird. He was always jealous of how they could fly so high up into the sky and see everything, everywhere, far and wide from multiple angles, and it made him wonder if such a thing was possible for him. When he could, he loved climbing up to high places - not to perform the Leap of Faith - to see the view from above. He loved it. And it made him think about other ways he could see everything from different perspectives.
Then he discovered Cartography. Needless to say, he was ecstatic lol. Map making for him was the perfect way to achieve what he wanted. He could have an Eagle Eye view of a large area from multiple perspectives and see everything just like he wanted. He could even make multiple versions of it from different angles! He could make a map of Masyaf from his POV in the mountains OR from the top of the Bureau.
I also think that him being so into cartography is a bit of a traumatic response. If he has a map and he knows the place intimately or can study it to see what it holds, he feels better about sending someone there or going himself. He didn't know what the Temple of Solomon held that day...and if he had he would have made Kadar stay home.
I even have a head cannon that Malik makes multiple versions of maps not just from different perspectives and to have backup copies, but to troll people haha. You telling me that this man wouldn't make a fake as hell map to fool Templars in case they stole them? I just KNOW he gave Altair multiple maps and told him to keep the true one on his person so if the enemy was successful in snatching the maps they'd get BAMBOOZLED ACK-
Finally, you wanted to know why I think he was so close with his baby brother Kadar...
I believe that he was so close with his baby brother Kadar because he's a family man, he's loyal, and he loves hard. They didn't really have their parents growing up so more oft than not he felt alone in the world. But no matter how alone he felt Kadar was always there for him, whether it was annoying him, joking with him, or just sitting with him. He fell into the role of big brother easily and got used to being the protective provider. Without Kadar he no longer had someone to care and look out for and Malik didn't know what to do with himself besides bury himself in his work.
It felt like a knife to heart when he lost the only family he had ever truly had because he knew that the Brotherhood was merely a figment of family - not the true family that he wanted. He had always dreamed of Kadar and him having their own families and bringing them both together to be one big happy family. But when Kadar was killed the reality of that dream never coming true...hit him hard.
Malik was also incredibly angry by the slaughtering of his brother Kadar because he was so young. He had so much potential and so much life to live - and it was taken like it had never even existed. He had imagined teasing Kadar about falling in love when the time came, the pride he would feel watching his baby brother one day become a Master Assassin as he had always dreamed of, the happiness he would feel on behalf of his little brother when he became a father. He had imagined what it would've been like to grow old and have Kadar crack jokes about aching bones and greying hair. Malik had imagined watching his little brother grow up the same way parents would anticipate watching their child grow.
Now, for the rest of his life he'll be tortured by "what ifs" and possibilities that will never happen. Malik felt robbed of the one true gift he had ever received in his life - especially as most people in his position don't get what he had. Family.

List of changes I hope to see in Xenoblade X Definitive Edition :)
I am hopeful because last time we got a definitive edition Monolith adressed basically all my issues with the original
LARGER TEXT. For fuck's sake please. I love this game, I would love it even more if I could fucking read!
Better online servers. I have no experience with Nintendo Switch Online but please let the online be more stable. The constant disconnects were so annoying. Especially because the only way to reconnect was going back to the title screen and loading back in. Which took forever with the loading times.
I never got to experience the game during the Miiverse days so I hope they bring the Miiverse features back to some degree just like they did with Splatoon
Change it so that the flight music only kicks in after flying for about 10 seconds instead of the instant you jump. And also the option to turn it off completely. I love the flight theme but it sucks you basically never get to hear the area themes again while travelling once you unlock flying.
Considering they didn't listen to the complaints about the vision reacts music in DE I am Very Skeptical about a flight music toggle tho :(
Hot take but I actually like talking to characters in NLA to put them in your party. However I HATE it when I cannot find them because they are not in their usual spot. Please mark their current locations on the map!!
Rebalance the audio and/or add audio options to the settings because I would love to hear the characters talk over the music
Wild card that won't happen but that I have always wanted: add a fashion boutique to the commercial district where you can buy fashion gear. And add more of it. I love the casual clothes in this game. I just wish it was easier to get specific things than randomly getting it from the basic mission board
Improve follow ball. That thing gets lost and confused when you fly
Better quest tracking for collectibles. Would love to be able to find my quest items without having to consult the wiki where they spawn.
Honestly, add better quest tracking for enemies as well. I have spend way too much time searching for tyrants despite having their basic mission active. Just anything that makes me use the wiki less while playing.
Offline option to gain reward tickets. I love the online but it would be so much better and more fair to all players if you could get the reward tickets offline as well. Being stuck in collection quests or grinding all materials for creating skells amd augments is just so bad without the tickets.
I feel like the map could use a bit more location names and would also really appreciate it if it would show exactly where the landmark/probe is in the sector. Because I have had moments where I warped and ended up being a lot farther away from where I wanted to go than I thought.
Option to change time from the menu instead if having to find a base camp or bench!!!
Better tutorials. Like they have to because the manual is gone. But even with the manual I felt like explanations were lacking at times. Especially when it comes to overdrive.
Not a change rather a very heartfelt request to NOT change how stupidly broken overdrive is. Infinite overdrive strats my beloved.
Option to quit out of a story or affinity mission. I never did get stuck in one. And I know there's an option to lower boss difficulty if you die a few times. But I just never liked the restricted feeling of not being able to give up and retry it later. Especially ones where you need items which can be a Pain without reward tickets.
Game is probably gonna get an easy mode anyway but I would really appreciate the option to quit a mission.
Make the skells easier to control in vehicle mode?? I don't know how this could be achieved. Maybe it's just a skill issue on my part (rather than a skell issue)
Unlikely but please: multiple save files per user. The whole reason I have a second profile on my Switch is Xenoblade 2 (and BotW) not allowing multiple savefiles per profile.
Maybe have inactive party members gain some exp? Like after you unlock overdrive you can basically solo the game anyway but it would be nice to not have a character stuck at level 20 when you are in late game grinding affinity for affinity missions
Somehow make it so that the Prospectors aren't constantly dominating the leaderboards. I too want salvage tickets for my skell :(

WOTFI 2024 Bingo results
If you didn't know @midnight1nk created a bingo map! (You can find the original post here). With these peoples ideas: /midnight1nk, /Sardix (me), @34saveme34 , @time1srunout , @porschas-palette , @yullalightk , @Nicc
Anyway, here are the results (and yes i am aware the picture looks a little off with colors but it's a printed out wersion with stars as stickers) + screenshots from the moments that I felt counted or not. And a reminder I was going off of the description of spaces and not their names. (However, If I put something in the wrong place tell me and I will fix it :), I am also always up for discussion)
Tumblr media
Sadly we did not get Bingo but there will be plenty oportunities in the future
1. Mario ruins the show! (He did the final blow)
Tumblr media
2. Karma (they did beat him although he didn't become something like Leggy)
Tumblr media
3. Mr. Puzzle having a grudge against Smg4 - (I think this counts?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. It's gotta be perfect (IGBP) - (it wasn't really mentioned BUT this monster was present + the whole hate Smg4 gets that played an important role in IGBP) (add Photos from IGTBP)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Freak Show - it wasn't really said but they all got a whole makeover for the carnival show
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. Carnival-themed rap - this one doesn't need explaining (also it was a banger, I cannot stop listening to it)
Tumblr media
8. The Bell tolls - I don't know if this counts or not, but I decided to put it here because there is like A LOT of "death" during the minigames. (I could put all the moments in here because of the picture limit)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. Merch - I mean, it was gonna be for 100%; this time, tho mostly Mr.Puzzle teamed, which makes sense seeing his popularity in and outside the fandom.
Tumblr media
10. Sacrifice - Meggy getting saved by Smg4 by using Mario (also my theory about Smg4 after the IGBP whenever angry getting suddenly super strong physically works, because he was FAST and you could see in his eyes the determination to not let any of his friends die again)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
11. Meggy confronts - she does, in fact, confront him but doesn't really scold him for his wrongdoings. Still, I think that the interaction counted.
Tumblr media
12. Brand new look - as shown before most of the cast gets a makeover, which are new look carnival-teamed
13. Puzzle Tune - it appears at the very beginning of the first song that Mr.Puzzle sings as Smg4 and Mario are in the boat
Tumblr media
Now the stuff that I think didn't count and why:
1. Past arc or trauma - the trauma from past arcs wasn't mentioned unless you count Smg4 hate comments. Or Mr.Puzzles past but that's not really mentioning past arcs.
2. Park destroyed - it wasn't destroyed like Wren's lab, just got closed
3. Puzzles backstory - we got a scene where what was already shown in the Didney episode was explained; we didn't get any new info from the one we already knew.
4. Not so different - sadly, a scene like this does not happen no matter how much I wished it did. ( it sounds too good to be true.) BUT it may happen in the future.
5. (Ending) twist - Mr.Puzzle didn't reveal that he was behind the 2023 WOTFI, and I don't think Leggy 2.0 counts as a character foreshadowing, although Marty the cardboard became an actual character, so we never know.
6. Star Rating system - suprisingly it is never out right mentioned, Mr.Puzzle only mentions the destruction of his show.
7. Tenner tunnel - which I assume is just the tunnel of fun, but since it never is really shown, we cannot know for sure. It only kinda appears in the background
8. Smg4 kids - they didn't even appear in the background, so...
9. Puzzles dies - it is not his time yet, and it appears he has yet to play some really important roles in the story.
10. You saved me - to probably a lot of fans disapointment with Smg3 under control we did not get to see them interact other than fighting (Smg4 and Smg3).probably becouse of the movie being a litle shorter than usual (less than 30 minutes if you take out the merch talk) we did not get a scene with them even reuniting after being freed from the hypnotic state.
11. Dynamic change - some people would probably say that the dynamic between Mr.Puzzle and Meggy changed but from the beginning, we could see that deep inside she wanted to help or a part of her, and I do not mean Leggy (although I suppose it could count but for now I'm leaving it here)
12. Leggy's flag - honestly I'm not sure if it even appears, but it definitely did not play an important role
Bonus: They remembered the video where Smg4 became the clown king, aka where it was never resolved, so I think now it is officially canon and not just a one-time joke. (Please tell me I wasn't the only one who joticed that)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, would you look at that? We got 14 out of 25, not a bad score, I must say! And I'm sure we can't wait for what will come in the future

Fighting for your life with heroes against brand new ones that sweep your team. Henrietta lore? That power she must keep in check? Summoner just won't die. Only in some timelines. and badly. Sharena. Ragnorok?!?! Loki's shenanigans.
Thank you stranger! In no particular order, let’s go through these
First off, OH I LOVEEEEEE BEING IMMEDIATELY PROVEN WRONG ABOUT LOKI. FINALLY. THANK FUCK. The validation I felt when the question of her motives was IMMEDIATELY brought up this book. I don’t care that my read was wrong— what I truly wanted more than anything was something of more substance to read into. As for actual predictions, my bets are that her aims are on bringing about Ragnorok and the end of the gods. For fun. As a treat. For the silly.
As for the actual state of the game, idk man, I play this game weird. I’m both free to play and entirely causal, so it’s entirely up to luck if I ever have any relevant units. In my many years of playing this game, I have never managed to +10 merge a unit that wasn’t a grail unit. So I don’t tend to play game modes where that matters much, with the exception of aether raids sometimes. I like clearing the challenge maps and making the story mode levels really difficult by using strictly Askr trio.
For events outside of that, I have a lot of fun using about one team per six months and trying to creatively use them and their base skills to solve whatever new bullshit is added. The game is clearly not built for you to do that, but I like the challenge it poses. I got really lucky on the CYL7 banner and got all four of the guys from that event. Brave Robin, Corrin, Soren and Gullvieg was my go to team for wayyyy longer than it should have, especially with zero changes to their kits and no merges. Hell I didn’t even have dragon flowers on half of them because Askr Trio building has long stolen most of flower supply. But god was it fun. I know how that group of units play off each other like the back of my hand. And considering how most people tend to just be frustrated with this game’s gameplay, it feels like I must be doing something right. I am constantly broke tho, so rip.
On the lore side, Henriette and Gustav are such a fascinating two for one package for me. Marketable plushies often bought together please don’t separate. The :) to his >:(. They’re both are great rulers and loving partners, but fumbled a bit in their parenting in ways that make total sense. For you see, I am a firm believer that everyone walks out of their childhood at least a little fucked up. Even the best parents are still human. And I adore Askr’s royal family unit, because it digs into that idea! Henriette and Gustav weren’t abusive or harboring malicious intent, but they were neglectful and lacking in ways that cannot be denied. Which is extremely cool! More of this please and thank you.
Looping back to the quote in question, to be perfectly honest, I would be pleasantly surprised if we ever got answers for her day of devotion alt voice lines. However, Gustav having a wife with the power to kill him easily would be so fucking funny. Like father, like son. If your romantically coded life partner can’t theoretically ensure your body is never found, what’s even the point. She doesn’t even need to be secretly divine or anything— I would be satisfied with her being something as simple as an abnormally strong mage. She can accidentally fold people like an omelet if she’s not being careful. Which, now that I’m putting that into writing, might contribute to her relationship with her kids.
Speaking of, Sharena!!! My best friend Sharena!!! I’ve got a multitude of thoughts cooking for her, but currently the one at the forefront is making home girl jacked as hell. Not joking. Dead ass. We all know the role she plays on a personality level— she’s the heart. The emotional glue that keeps these loner trickster types together and in check. But considering that this is the theater of war and everyone else has a role to play, I think it could be interesting if she was the beefiest fighter in the Askr trio. She’s able to dedicate the time fully to that craft, you know? She’s not balancing the responsibilities that arise from being the Order’s commander, tactician, or right hand man/history buff. Not to mention she was trained to fight by Bruno, who presumably played the role of group muscle before her. Therefore, when it comes to feats of physical strength, Sharena should be the Order’s go-to lady! I think it would be neat! She deserves the ability to easily carry her commanding officer and beat Alfonse’s nerdy ass in an arm wrestle.
Last but certainly not least, summoner bad ends! What could possibly go wrong? A lot, apparently. And it happens much more often than you’d expect.
See, I don’t think it’s that the summoner cannot die. Polar opposite, if anything. Each success is built upon the littered corpses of millions of failures. This idea loops back to the alternate version of Askr the group finds in book 3. In order to defeat Hel, they must loot the corpse of a dead world. By its very nature, not every summoner has an alternate corpse to loot. At least half of all realities where the summoner exists results in death and ruin by book 3 ALONE. This is saying nothing of all the dangerous odds they must beat from then to book 9. Just pulling one example off the dome, in order to defeat Gullveig, they had to die a truly eldritch and inconceivable amount of times. But we the audience don’t bear witness to that. We get to see the one world with the one summoner who is hitting those fraction of a fraction odds. The universe’s luckiest bastard. Others are not so lucky.
