Looks like I was 18!

I remember I really liked to draw growing up, but I stopped at some point and didn't really pick it up again before I was 18. That was when I got my first drawing tablet and started experimenting with digital art. The fandom was def a motivator for me to start again after all that time ✨ Looking back at it now, I've grown a lot as an artist over the years, for only drawing fandom stuff and never practicing 😅

"No, no, no need for buts. It's my fault, I get it. We were not enough for you."

"It's not that-? Could you believe this, Silco? The apple of my eye is stabbing my back like that?"

Silco raised his eyes.

"Don't you think you're being dramatic? Tell him he's being dramatic pa, please!"

The three were standing in the backroom of The Last Drop where they were tidying the room. But all of a sudden, Violet, their middle child, asked them to go a little bit earlier since she had to meet with someone and when Vander asked her where she was going she answered with the most backstabbing words he had ever heard.

"I mean how could you say I'M GOING TO PILTOVER so quietly?? Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"I didn't because I knew you would have overreacted, and I was right! Come on dad, she's a good girl I promise. She's smart, witty, pretty. She's not like the idiotic nobles over there."

"She???" Vander asked, winding his eyes.

"No really, you're surprised it's a she? Where have you been living, Vander?" was the only words that left Silco' s mouth after fifteen minutes of silence.

"It's not a problem it's a she. The problem is it's a piltie she!"

"At least you won't have half piltie grandchildren." said Silco grinning, while cleaning the last glass on the table.

"Violet please, stop this madness. You can't be with one of them."

"But I like her! You should know her before saying she's not a good person!"

"I know you don't like it either, please say something" he said to his husband.

"How can I say something if you've been freaking out for the last thirty minutes!"

Vander sobbed sitting on a chair. He felt betrayed. She was his daughter, how could she fall for a piltie?

"Uhm sorry, don't want to interrupt anything. I left my jacket here." the head of the firstborn, Viktor, peaked in the room.

"Are you going out?" asked Silco. Vander was still looking in the air, wondering how he could have been a better father.

"Mh, yes."

"Where are you going?"

"Oh well, we're meeting by the river. I'll be home for dinner."

"You're going out with someone?" asked Silco.

"Well yes..."

"You see, you should follow you're brother's lead. He would never date a piltie." said Vander, looking into his daughter's eyes.

Viktor felt the burden of three pairs of eyes - well two and a half - on his frame.

When she entered she realized what she did.

"Thank you, Jinx." whispered Viktor.

"Oops." she said leaving his book on the table and running away in the corner of the room.

Max Verstappen x fem!reader

Summary- Y/n is a professional protection dog trainer, and an ex bodyguard. What happens when an old friend of hers calls in a favor: getting his friend some protection. The fans seem to love her, others not so much. Especially not her clients father. Her client enjoys her company maybe a little more then he thought after the first bite.

TLDR- a collection of series of events that ends with two people who didn't really know they were in love with each other until one confessed

Max picked up the mic wanting to be anywhere but here "well I will be looking for personal security. As all the security that is normally seen around me is provided via the FIA." He said "But to speak on that manner any behavior like that should not be tolerated" he put down the mic as the interview turned to ask Lewis a question.

After the interviews were over Max just wanted to relax and forget about the crazed fan. But before he could disappear into redbull hospitality he heard his name from a familiar voice.

"Max!" Lewis called stopping in front of him "Hey mate I think I know someone that I can call to help you with your security" he smiled

"Stellen" (bite) you yelled at Goose, which sent him barreling towards the man with the bite sleeve. Goose launched himself up and bit down on the sleeve. The man, Tony, aggressive, shook his arm.

You felt you phone in your pocket buzz with your familiar ring tone. You pulled it out and looked at the caller ID: Sir Lewis Hamilton. You answered the call before yelling "Loslaten" (out) to Goose who immediately let go of his arm.

"Hey Lewis what's up?" You asked as you waved off Tony telling him he's good to leave.

"Hey Y/n" he said dragging out your name a little

"Lewis" you said in a warning tone "what did you do?"

"Okay one rude, I didn't do anything." He huffed "but I do need a favor?" He asked

"What's up?" You asked again "it's not like you to ask for favors"

"Well: my friend, another driver, he had a fan attack him and he needs protection cause he doesn't really have a security team"

"Lewis I can't get him a trained dog in a day" you sighed

"I know" he said "but you're still a certified body guard aren't you?" He asked hopefully

"Lewis." You said

"I know it's a big ask" he said "but I was talking with him earlier and he's willing to pay big bucks for you to be protection for him AND train him a dog." He said

You sighed knowing that he'll continue until you say yes "fine" you said "when can I set up a meeting with him?"

"Uhh I can say next week tuesday? We can do whatever time" He said "cause after this race we have a small break then it's actually race week in Miami"

"Okay Lewis, I'll find a dog for him before then, and start training" you said "if you say he's serious about this then I'll belive you"

"Thank you so much" Lewis said "I'll let him know"

"Yeah yeah, bye Lewis"

You sat in your small office. You didn't use it much only for meeting with clients about protection dogs or getting their dogs trained, you wanted to have a atleast semi professional space due to your clientele.

A knock at the door cause you it sit up and stop spinning in your chair.

"Come in" you called.

The door slowly opened revealing a happy Lewis. Goose didn't move from his bed next to you instead looking up at the man.

"Hey Lewis" you smiled

"What's up?" He asked rhetorically as he sat in one of the chairs across from you.

Another man walked in behind him, he looked around the room as if taking it in, this must be Max the guy Lewis was telling you about.

"Hello its nice to meet you" you smiled as you stood up and extended you hand "my name is Y/n L/n"

He shook your hand "Max Verstappen" he said before sitting down

You did the same sitting in your chair "so I have been made aware that you're looking for a personal protection dog" you said "along with the fact in the mean time you're looking to hire my bodyguard services" you said as you pull up the contract you had drafted earlier on the computer.

"Uh yes that's right" the Dutch man said

"Okay" you said as you quickly checked over the document spinning your screen around so he can read it-

After discussing the contract along with pay you both sign it. Solidifying the deal.

"Okay so now that we have that settled" you said as you stood up "we should have you meet your new dog" you smiled "Hier" (come) Goose got up and followed you out if the room the two men behind him.

You took out the keys and unlocked the kennel for a German shepherd pup "he's still a bit young, just under a year actually" you said "but he has the basics down so it's now just bite training" you explained

Both men nodded as they watched the pup and your dog Goose interact.

Media day, the day Max wished didn't exist. He finally got out of his car as you approached him with Goose to your immediate left.

"Good morning" you smiled "large crowd at the gates, mostly photographers only a few fans, I recommend staying on the right side as you walk into the paddock" I explained "it's mostly photographers on that side and no interviewers"

Max nodded as you talked he followed your instructions. You put on your sunglasses to block the flash of the cameras.

Max made it past the hectic paddock entrance with you right behind him Goose walking by your side.

As Max walked through the paddock he wasn't approached by any interviewers. He could get used to that.

Max sat down ready to record some content for the redbulls media team. You positioned yourself out of the way but with a good view of everything as well as all the entrances.

Daniel soon arrived and noticed you almost immediately sitting down he leaned over to Max and asked "who's that? With the dog?"

"Oh that's, Y/n" Max explained "She's my new bodyguard"

"She looks badass" Yuki comments scaring the shit out of both Daniel and Max "where the fuck did you come from?!" Max shouts

You quickly looked over and watched the interaction, Yuki had been up there the entire time.

As the recording came to an end you stood from where you were leaning. Watching Checo leave, followed quickly by Daniel and Yuki who look like they needed to be somewhere. Max started towards the exit you quickly followed him.

Begrudgingly Max sat down in front of a mic that had a big 'sky sport' on it. You stood just off to the side of the camera, completely out of frame and able to watch to one side of Max as you had Goose watching behind yourself.

As Max answered the repeat questions he finally heard the one he's been dreading:

"So Max this morning you walked in with a lady who had a dog. Care to comment about that relationship?" The interviewer asked.

"She's my bodyguard" he stated

"She's your bodyguard..?" The guy asked like he didn't just hear him

"Yes."

"If you don't mind me asking why her?"

"She was recommended by a friend." Max said nonchalantly

"Sorry let me clarify my question" the guy said. Oh no, you knew where this was going. "Why not a male body guard they're stronger no?" He asked

"Are you insinuating that just because she's a women she wouldn't be a good bodyguard?" Max asked

"Well no-"

"No it's exactly what you're doing" he said "you media people always ask the stupid questions" he hissed "that is so fu-"

He was cut off by you "Max de camera staat nog aan" Max the camera is still on.

Instead of continuing he just gets up and leaves, cutting the interview short. You follow quickly, commanding Goose to walk next to Max as you figured Max didn't want to be approached by anyone. Scary dog privileges are the best.

He opens the door to his driver room.

"Hier, blijf" (come, stay) you quickly rattled off to Goose who quickly went to your side and stopped next to you

Max also stopped in his tracks.

"Sorry" you quickly apologized "he's trained in dutch"

Max shook his head "no need to apologize" he said and then motioned you inside "but I don't want him out in this heat please come inside" he said

You weren't gonna argue with your boss "Volg" (heel) you commanded Goose as you walked into his driver room. Max walked in right behind you.

You stood off to the side as Max sat on the couch. He quickly motioned for you to sit down. You did just that.

Goose sat at your feet between you and Max. Max was obviously still pissed at what the guy said, you could see it on his face.

"You know" Max started "I've never been a dog person" he said "I like cats more"

"Huh," you said "I've always been a dog person" you said "started with the herding dog on my family's farm"

Max nodded as you talked before asking "can I pet him?" motioning to Goose

"Oh yeah of course" you smiled "as long as we aren't in a camera shot give him all the love you want" you chuckled "gotta keep his image up of a cold blooded killer, until the media finds my insta" you chuckled.

Max smiled as he ruffled Gooses head earning a lick from the dog.

You and Max finally left his driver room as he had another media appearance with another interviewer.

Max walked in front of you Goose to his left. You grabbed the door opened it for him. You followed him inside "volg" (heel left), you told Goose who then fell in step beside you to your left.

You followed Max till he sat on the couch opposite of the interviewer. Instead you stood against the wall out of view of the camera.

"Okay" the interviewer said giving the signal to start rolling "so before we start with the questions: would you want to have your bodyguard sit down?" She asked, she sounded genuine

Max then turned to you "wil je gaan zitten? ze kunnen je vragen stellen..." (do you want to sit down? they might ask you questions...)

You responded "Ik vind het niet erg om vragen te beantwoorden. Wil je dat ik ga zitten?" (I don't mind answering questions, do you want me to sit?)

"Ik vind het prima als jij dat ook bent" (I am okay with it if you are) Max said

You gave a quick nod before walking over and sitting on the couch, next to Max. Turning to Goose you said "Bewaken" (guard), causing him to lay down in front of Max.

Turning to the camera the interviewer started "Hello everyone it's Stella here!" She smiled "and I am joined today by Max Verstappen and his bodyguard..."

"Y/n" you said "and Goose" motioning to your dog.

She smiled "and today we are asking the new, the old, and the frequently asked questions." She turned to Max "okay to start off, Max we'll start with frequently asked questions: do you think you'll win the 2024 world championship?" She asked already knowing the answer.

"Of course I will" Max said "if I don't have that mindset then I have no chance"

"Moving onto the old news: China after quali" she said "most fans just do wanna know what happened and are you okay"

"Well obviously I'm okay," he said "but the fan was drunk and belligerent after I was able to take the win," he said "knowing that he was outside of the paddock I shouldn't have left but I'm lucky at the security near the entrance was able to quickly get him away" he said "he surprised me honestly" he shrugged

"Okay now onto the new: your bodyguard Y/n" she said "everyone wants to know more about her" so that's why she wanted to have you on the couch.

Max quickly turned to you "Vind je het goed om te antwoorden?" (You good to answer)

You nodded grabbing the mic he held out: "it's a bit of a story but: I was actually the dog trainer for Roscoe, Lewis Hamiltons dog," you said "I'm a well known dog trainer in Miami I have trained several dogs for a lot of celebrities. Some for protection others just to have a trained dog" you said "but anyways Lewis called me I think the day of the incident" you thought "and we talked for a second and he asked if I still had my bodyguard certification" you said "which is really just a formality but for my job before I started training dogs I was security for a large club in Miami and we needed it" you explained "so after a meeting with Max we signed a contract that is basically me being his bodyguard with Goose until I have trained a dog for him" you finished, handing the mic back to Max.

The drive to his hotel was relatively quiet besides the soft hum of the radio.

"When we arrive at the hotel do not get out" you said "keep the door locked till I have my hand on the handle" you explained "people are crazy here especially where your hotel is located"

Max nodded as you pulled the car up

You quickly got out shutting the door opening the door for Goose then opening the door for Max. People were everywhere, people shouting, some where drunk others just crazy. You quickly led Max to the entrance of the hotel and bid him a goodbye.

Friday and Saturday were uneventful. But Sunday was race day, the day the MOST amount of people all week.

Walking next to Max, "rechts" (heel right), Goose moved to the right side of Max you walked on his left side. You were able to easily enter the paddock.

Finally its race time you placed the dog ear muffs over Goose to protect his ears. The had just finished the formation lap. The lights turn red one by one, then all go out hearing the infamous "lights out and away we go"

Lando Norris had won the Miami grand prix. His first win. Max was really happy for him. Wanting to go out to celebrate but not wanting to get attacked he turned to you:

"Y/n do you mind coming out tonight?" He asked "I don't want to miss Landos first win celebration, but I you know need protection" he joked

"Sure I'll baby sit you" you joked back. Little did you know that was basically what you ended up doing.

As it was Landos first win they were going hard. You stood off to the side watching them all carefully making sure nothing happened to Max specifically. They decided to leave this bar going to the next. You follow them out walking just behind the group.

"Verstappen!" A drunken voice called, "why the fuck did you let that fuck boy win" the man slurred

Stepping between the two quickly "step back" you said firmly to the drunken man.

"What are you gonna do about it?" The man slurred

"Blaffen" (speak) you called, causing Goose to start barking aggressively grabbing his collar as he started going manic as he barked.

The man quickly backed away before almost bolting down the street you shook your head "foei" (no), Goose immediately stopped "Bewaken" (guard) he stood next to Max ready to start walking again

"We're good" you said to him and the group

Luckily nothing else happens that night. But not as lucky Max was beyond wasted. You were able to get him into the car and buckled him up shutting the door. You open the back door for Goose having him jump in. You got in and started driving realizing that you only knew where his hotel is and not his room you decide to drive to your house.

Getting him into your house was an adventure. He was basically a dead weight, after an insane amount of effort you got him onto the couch in your living room and threw a blanket on top of him. Placing some advil and water on the coffee table next to him.

As the job progressed and Max's new dog got trained many races were uneventful. The media attention on both of you had died down to what it was before Max got attacked. You are featured in some clips and interviews just answering the odd question or pulling Max away to get him out of range of anything dangerous. That is your job anyways.

The only big changes was social media: you stopped posting after getting a substantial amount of followers. People still comment on your old posts asking when your next post is. And the edits.. People are making edits of you and Goose being badass and it honestly makes you happy seeing all those cool edits. You'd take it to your grave but you love watching them in you bed late at night when you can't sleep.

It was the Austrian grad prix. Lando and Max had gotten into it on the track causing Lando to get a dnf, and Max to drop to 5th place. He stormed off disappearing before you could catch up to him.

You eventually find him sitting in one of the chairs looking at the ground, with his helmet still on. As a man you don't recognize yells at him.

"Hey!" You shout storming over "back away from him"

The man with anger in his eyes glanced at you but went back to yelling at Max. Ypu quickly said "Blaffen" (speak) to Goose, he started barking at the man

"Get back" you commanded again

Finally he looked at you "Do you know who I am?" He asked all proud

"I don't fucking care who you are" you snapped "step away from my client" you said firmly

He turned back to Max and began yelling in Dutch to fast and angry for you to make it out. You were about to intervene again until the man raised his hand as if to strike Max

"Stellen, stellen" (bite, bite) you quickly commanded Goose letting go of his collar. The dog jumped up and bit the raised arm the force sending the man to the ground.

As this is happening Max watched it, he looked up just as you called for Goose to bite his father.

You followed your dog holding the man to the ground before commanding "Loslaten" (let go) Goose dropped the now bleeding arm. "Bewaken" (Guard), Goose stood in front of Max now defensively.

Security arrived with medical and as they treated the dog bite you explained to them what happened pointing the the cameras around as well as a fan that recorded the entire interaction on his phone.

After a bit of talking and reviewing security bid you a goodbye and left. Citing that you were doing you job.

You then sat down next to Max who still hadn't taken off his helmet. "Who was that anyways?" You asked him as you quickly cleaned the blood off of Goose.

"My dad" he said muffled from the helmet

"Oh" you responded

"Yeah" Max said

The air filled with awkward silence before you said "let's get you back to the drivers room to cool down you still have interviews" Max just nodded making his way to his drivers room. You follow him inside Goose quickly settled by the door as you went to Max who sat on the couch with his helmet still on.

Reaching over you unclipped it and took it off, placing it on the table. Max took off his balaclava throwing it next to the mask.

"Sorry" you said "about your dad"

"I- no- uh" he groaned frustrated "You're fine you were just doing your job" he said a little snippy. He didn't want it to come out like that but it did.

You just nodded as he talked listening before saying "okay we gotta have you head to the media pen before someone yells at us and you get a fine" you said standing up

Max just nodded and followed you out if the drivers room.

Media was done and all Max wanted to do was go back to the hotel. You don't blame him you'd want that too.

After the media pen Max was almost a shell of himself. So just to make sure he's okay you walked inside the hotel and got him to his room, you also needed to talk about earlier. When he opened the door to his hotel room and motioned you inside you were quick to oblige.

The room was nice it was similar to one of those one bedroom apartments just minus a kitchen.

Max settled down on the small couch letting out a sigh.

You just stood a bit awkwardly as Goose sat down next to Max's feet earning a few pets from the Dutch man.

"We gotta talk about today" you said breaking the silence

Max groaned "Do we have to...?" He asked

"I mean yeah" you said "Goose bit your father" you said "I'm sorry I didn't-" before you could continue he interrupted you

"You were doing your job" he said "you had no clue what he could have done or actually what he was going to do" Mac explained "you did what you thought was best to protect me. Which is your job" he leaned back on the couch and then muttered to Goose "thank you"

You ran through the situation in your head again. Jos, which you learned was the man's name, was actually going to hit Max.

"He was actually going to hit you wasn't he?" You asked him

Max stayed silent that's all the answer you needed

"Well now I wish I didn't tell Goose to let go"

Max cracked a smile, "thank you" he said this time looking up at you.

Both you and Max were in his driver room. It was media day for the British Grand Prix, but Max had been waiting to hear back about his next interview as the time.kept changing. You thought that they just wanted to keep him here as long as possible.

Max was watching the small TV as he sat next to you on the couch. You were on your phone just scrolling through some random social media apps. Goose was laying down by the door.

While both of yall were waiting Max fell asleep next to you. Because of the way he was sitting when he fell asleep he was leaning against your shoulder. Eventually you fell asleep too.

Later you slowly wake up but are held in place by some strong arms. You blink awake adjusting to the light. You laid on your side on the couch and where held in place by a sleeping Max. You tried to move to get up but were just pulled right back down. Giving up rather quickly you went back to sleep.

Max gently shook you awake. "Hey Y/n" he said softly, "we should head back to the hotel" he was blushing but it was kinda hard to tell in the lighting

You just nodded as I slowly got up and stretched quickly gathered you items.

BREAKING NEWS: Max and Y/n seen leaving the drivers room late at night. What does this say about their relationship: Professional? Friendly? Or is there more?

"What do you mean?" You asked as you got ready

"You and Max were spotted leaving his drivers room late last night, together." Lewis explained

"Yeah" he said "I'm at the track already and people are asking me about it"

"What have you been saying?" You asked leaving the hotel room Goose at your side

"I've been saying: I don't know the relationship, and that uh you're his bodyguard so whatever he was doing in the room you have to be there cause when he leaves you have to make sure nothing happens and shit"

You sighed "thank you Lewis" you said as you opened the car door for Goose and shut it before getting in yourself, and starting the car.

"It's no problem" the brit said "but are you two...you know..?"

"God Lewis!" You said "no we're no fuck buddies"

The last title made you gag how does that get approved? It doesn't actually bother you to much but it's gross.

You sat on that uncomfortable couch reading the news, almost every single station had something about you two leaving the drivers room late, or about you pushing away journalists.

You let out an annoyed huff tossing your phone on the small coffee table. Max leaned over a bit to look at it.

"Why are you looking at that shit?" He asked

You just shrugged

The last articles name caught his eye he double checked "what the actual fuck" he hissed "this is bullshit, why the fuck would the title an article this" he was pissed. You don't know entirely why they weren't saying anything about him.

"I don't know" you just shrugged

"You aren't mad at this?" He asked before continuing "It doesnt matter, I'm going to go punch the fucker who wrote the article" not wanting him in any legal trouble, mostly cause you knew he would punch the guy, you stood up and quickly blocked the door.

"Nope" you said simply "the article title is just that: an article title. I know it's not true you know it's not true so why does it matter" you asked

"It's disgusting" he said "they shouldn't talk about you-"

You cut him off "exactly! Me they are only talking about me in a bad light so why do you car so much?" You asked a little ticked that he was still trying to get passed you

"Because I care about you okay!" He confessed "I know it's dumb, you're my bodyguard and I-" he was cut off by a kiss.

You didn't know how but you ended up kissing him. He quickly reciprocated grabbing your chin pulling you closer.

As you both broke the kiss catching your breath you rested your foreheads against eachother looking into his eyes you smiled.

"When did you fall for me?" He asked

"When we cuddled on that uncomfortable couch" you smiled he blushed

"I didn't know you were awake for that" he said softly

You chuckled softly "when did you fall for me?" You asked

"It was love at first bite" He said "when you were protecting me from my father."

This is, Lwj and Sqq disguising as middle court officials to go with Xie Lian whenever he gets called to heaven, because if you think you're bullying their A-Lian on their watch you better think twice

"But of course, what would you do if you need some spiritual energy? Chengzu can't come up here to help out and they could spot the... origin of the energy on you, we don't want you to get into trouble" Sqq explained simply, not that he was lying, but it certainly wasn't his biggest reason. "But..."

"His highness should not worry" Lan Wangji assured, because well, of course he was the one to come, they really didn't want to get Xie Lian into trouble and Wwx had also already been posing as a middle court official before, they weren't taking their chances. "I'll take your word then, but please don't take it to heart if i'm too careful"

Sqq, of course knew why he was so hesitant, ah, really, he was too kind for his own good. "It's alright, let us go then"

Lwj and Sqq walked side by side to Xie Lian, unlike it had been in the past when other two walked behind him, they seemed happy to stand on the same place, part of their reasoning for this was, of course, that they had to shield him for whatever could come, Lwj had been particularly focused on this topic, since Xie Lian had been called about his encounter with Qi Rong, the same one he had helped to calm him from.

Xie Lian was lightly concerned as to why it seemed so quiet, that was, of course, until he noticed the barrier around him, only him. He didn't know wheter to laugh or cry, what was being said out there that they couldn't let him hear? He appreciated the effort, tho.

The murmurs had started as soon as the trio came into view with others, who were this two with his highness? Where did they come from? Surely not another fake skin from the generals...? And why so handsome?

Of course, Sqq couldn't put them at fault for the last one, Lan Wangji was, after all, the most elegible bachelor back in his home and he was also a main lead, of course he was handsome! Not as much as his Binghe, of course, but that could never be a fair comparisson. "Senior Shen"

Now, he wasn't as good at reading Lan Wangji, but if some of the tips he had gotten from Airplane-bro about Mobei-Jun were to be belived then... Sqq shaked his head. "Not for now, keep listening"

"Eavesdropping is forbidden"

Sqq opened his fan, a light smile, full of disdain hidden behind. "Is not eavesdropping when they're not trying to hide that they're talking about you, Hanguang-Jun"

"... Gossiping is also forbidden"

"Ah, i take there's a severe punshiment for that?" Lwj nodded. "We'll have to make sure to use it, then, since it's such an important rule. Don't worry i'll make sure everyone who dares talk about his highness receives what is worth."

"Undeserved violence is forbidden"

"What is undeserving, anyway?"

After all, to Sqq, all the people who were laughing at Xie Lian's third ascension, because of the whole Banyue incident, all that were making assumptions about the prescense of both of them and making judges of character so far from the truth, everyone wondering ill about their friendship, they deserved what he was planning for them. "Shen-Ge?"

Xie Lian calling for him got him out of his thoughts, he had just recently convinced to call him by a more familiar term of address, thanks to Hua Cheng. They both walked closer. "Yes, your highness?"

"I... It's okay not to address me like that"

"His highness is his highness"

"Hanguang-Jun, i appreciate it, but i haven't been a crown prince since long ago"

"Ah, that's true, that's true, it should be his majesty now, after all he's a king's-"

"No, no! I-I didn't mean it like that either, we're not even... We're not even that close!" Xie Lian didn't need Sqq also teasing him about being 'Hua Cheng's sworn brother', and Sqq sighed, it was enough teasing for the day. "i'll stop, i'll stop, A-Lian"

"However, you are still a god, A-Lian, how can you imagine our Hanguang-Jun here being anything but respectful?"

Lan Wangji nodded. "Ah, then... Gongzi is just fine?"

"Xianle-gongzi?"

"Hanguang-Jun please don't use the tittle" Sqq corrected, Xie Lian was actually always a bit hurt whenever he heard it, not a nice reminder, and usually he wouldn't voice that but in this case, there was no point on trying to deny it, somehow, Sqq always knew, because of course he did. "Xie-gongzi?"

"That is fine, thank you Hanguang-Jun, ah, should we also change how we address you?"

"Hanguang-Jun, would you like to match Wuxian?" Maybe Lan Wangji would've had more qualms about this, but one of them was a god and the other definitely older than him, and Sqq's offering just sealed the deal. He nodded. "Alright, Wangji it is then, that's also how Zewu-jun calls you, isn't it?"

"Mn"

"Then, Wangji, Shen-Ge, would either of you be so kind to lift the barrier?"

They looked at each other guiltily, but with a movement of his hand, Lan Wangji lifted it, all it did was prevent Xie Lian form hearing anything within certain range, hence, he hadn't heard them before they came closer. "Thank you"

Before Xie Lian had time to question either of them, Sqq's eyes catched the stares from a pair of generals just up ahead of them, still far away but with their kin senses, he was sure they were hearing and seeing them, see, this are the things he actually came for. While he knows the story, he holds both generals to a similar standar to that of the original goods, they may have their reasons, but he doesn't particularly like them. So, off to his favorite thing to do, be a hater with class, he started with a warm and soft smile directed to the god. "A-Lian, there's nothing to thank for, but i'm rather sorry about doing it, i just didn't want you to feel unfomfortable around here"

"Ah, but, Shen-Ge, this isn't my first time coming over? I'm used to it" If Xie Lian had catched anything in those malevolent eyes of his, he didn't tell. "Nonsense! You shouldn't have to become used to such thing, A-Lian! You are a god deserving of respect, not only for status but has no one taught manners to those around here? You are older than them!"

"Shen-Ge..."

"Xie-gongzi shouldn't be treated in such impolite way" Lan Wangji contributed, although mostly unaware of Sqq's plan. "See? Even Wangji agrees! You are far too forgiving with this people, A-Lian. They do not deserve your kindness"

"Everyone deserves kindness, Shen-Ge" Sqq huffed, as he opened his fan. "Some more than others, and some openly less than what You give, trust this Master on that"

Xie Lian, however didn't really agree to that, after all, sometimes all it took was one person, and he decided to be that person whenever possible. "Don't give me that look, ah, really, our A-Lian is far too kind for his own good, what shall i do with You?"

Xie Lian only had a moment to akwardly laugh before Shen Yuan patted his head, usually, he has far more self restraint, however right now, he was not only moved by his fondness for the god, but also by spite, and boy was spite a powerful motive indeed, specially when he could see the stupified looks on two of the three faces for the people said spite was directed at. "I..."

"It's alright, that is what we're here for, be as kind as you want, we'll make sure it doesn't go to waste however necessary. We'll be with you for whatever it is to happen"

Lan Wangji put a supporting hand on his shoulder. "Mn"

Xie Lian nodded, truly, the kind one here was Shen Qingqiu. "Thank You..."

Sqq snapped his fan closed, as he made them walk ahead again. "Now, let us go, we'll be late at this rate, and i don't want to miss on dinner"

"Ah, Luo-ge would get upset if we're late for cooking, i promised to help tonight"

"Promised as well"

The mention only added fuel to the fire that Sqq was slowly burning, domesticity was good to make jelousy "A-Lian will be on the kitchen today? We should hurry then, can't miss out on that! But take no offense, A-Lian, you still have a long way to reach my Binghe"

Xie Lian nodded, a light smile on his face. "I know, but San Lang said the last time was pretty good"

Neither Sqq nor Lwj addressed that because Hua Cheng's imput on Xie Lian's cooking was not only biased, but not to be trusted since he was the only person capable of eating it without getting sick, who knew even ghosts could get sick?, Wwx surely didn't. Hell, who knew that Xie Lian's cooking was so bad that it beat up Binghe's protagonist halo and heavenly demon blood making him sick? "A-Lian should try sticking to Binghe's instructions next time, and ignore Wuxian when he talks about spice"

"Ah, San Lang did say it was quite spicy"

"See? I think we should also have another class about condimentation herbs, i fear you might've used some that weren't for cooking"

"Really?"

"Yes, why else would it have made noise?" In reality, Sqq was pretty sure Xie Lian used only edible things, but he could not bring himself to be directly mean to him, it was like telling a kid that proudly showed you their drawing that you didn't know what it was, well, to him it was, Xie Lian perfectly knew what he was doing. "Oh, that would make sense"

"It does, it does, and we don't want to accidentally make another cake to bite Wuxian, do we? He might deserve it"- Lan Wangji stared at Sqq with a murderous aura that he rarely exhibited, so he backtracked-"When he misheaves, but not most of the time"

That made Lwj go back to normal, and Sqq sigh with relief internally, yes, sometimes he forgot that this is the same man that took Wwx out of nightless city and fought a murderous giant tourtle as a teenager. "Ah but he did eat it afterwards..."

At that, Xie Lian couldn't help but laugh a bit, a genuine although tiny, laugh. It just was a funny memory. "Wei-gongzi did eat it, while saying it was revenge in every bite"

Ah, there it was! Sqq had been trying to get a laugh out of Xie Lian this entire time, not just to spite the idiots who disguised themselves to hang out with him like the cowards they were, and not just to try and give Jun Wu a Qi deviation, but he really wanted him to feel better, ah, really, old age was making him more and more sentimental. "Wei Ying got sick and blamed the cake"

Xie Lian turned to Lwj, still a soft smile on his face. "Ah, he did?"

Lwj nodded. "Mn, said it became a vengeful spirit"

Another small but honest laugh came from the god. Meanwhile, Sqq put on his best bitch fake smile on and directly shielded Xie Lian's right side, as they were passing by two generals that couldn't utter a word but that were surely drilling holes into him with disdain and disbelief. One of them was dumb enough to try and talk tho, but Sqq was having none of that. "Your highn-"

"A-Lian, have you thought of where to go when the meeting is over?"

"Scrap collecting as usual, Shen-ge" Xie Lian's expression didn't betray anything. "Is it alright if i accompany you? We can get things for dinner on the way back"

Mu Qing and Feng Xin were far more interesed in the answer than they'd like to admit, just who was this man and why did he think that Xie Lian would let him accom- "Surely, if Shen-Ge doesn't mind, ah, Wangji would you like to come too?"

They turned to stare to the other misterious man that was by Xie Lian's side, he nodded politely and slowly. "Will do, Wei Ying asked before"

Both of them sighed fondly, of course that's why. They couldn't put him at fault tho, the other day they had found a few things that Wwx reused for some inventions, including some glass that he used to make something very akin to a modern lamp with a few talismans.

Was i too mean to Feng Xin and Mu Qing by not letting them talk to Xie Lian? Maybe, but Sqq won't let them until they prove themselves to him, you're not hurting Xie Lian on his watch, you're also, not allowed to be an idiot on his watch

Lwj is just being nice, he likes his in laws and he is being supportive on his own way, while Sqq was busy being petty, he was silencing people left and right with he Lan technique

On the other hand, Jun Wu is this close to having an anneurism, excuse you who are this two???? Why doesn't he know anything about them and why can't he track them down either? How did they meet his Xianle?! Most importantly, who dares do good to his mental health?!

I'm sure we're all aware by now that FilmCow continues to be a master of surreal/bizarre videos with deeper meanings, but I'm still thinking about the Llamas with Hats Epilogue.

Specifically, about that first video-within-a-video that plays in the beginning. Because, unless I'm mistaken (and bear in mind I haven't read the babies book so maybe that disproves this), that seems to be the first time this has happened, or at least the first time Carl was caught.

I mean, just look at the dialogue here:

Carl: "I don't like the accusatory tones in your voice."

Paul: "I'm, not accusing you of anything."

Carl: "I'm a pillar of the community. And a known philanthropist."

Paul: "I know Carl, I just don't understand how a human hand ended up on our floor."

I know tumblr users are notoriously bamboozled by things like this (piss on the poor website and everything), but to my ears Paul does seem genuinely confused here. He's NOT accusing Carl of anything, not like he does in the other episodes. He doesn't go into the conversation knowing that Carl was the one who did it. There's just a severed hand on the floor, and he's doing all he can to wrap his head around why that would be (even going so far as to "retrace his steps"! He's confused and genuinely looking to Carl for explanation and support!)

This is further evidenced by their later exchanges, once it's been revealed that Carl was indeed responsible.

Paul: This is terrible, Carl

Carl: I can see now that I acted without knowing all the facts.

Paul: I just... I can't belive you're capable of such a thing

Carl: It was a confused moment. Tensions were high

Paul: I don't know, Carl

Carl: I'm just as much as victim as anybody

Paul: I'd like to belive that...

That doesn't read to me like the interactions we've seen from them before. Paul is disgusted and upset by what happened, of course, but he's also upset at the fact that it was Carl who did it. He doesn't want to belive that his partner ("romantic friendship" and all) could be capable of such a thing.

I think this moment - this first time of shock and beratement by Paul - is the high that Carl is chasing every time he does something like this. Only, like any addict, he keeps needing to up the ante in order to feel it, and it'll never quite feel like it did the first time. And, every time he does it, he pushes Paul further and further away.

Here at Cove Aquariums and research we take pride in rescuing many different types of aquatic animals but out specialty is Mer-creatures, come see our roster of 'sea monsters' otherwise known as celestials.

A quick key:

Name- their name obviously.

Age- there stage of growth, juvenile or mature.

Mer type- the kind of mer creature they are, Celestial is the class, lunar/solar/eclipse are the variations.

Mimic species- the type of fish they look like.

Length- from their head to tail in iches(") or feet(').

Health- their current health condition from Excellent to Critical.

Habitat- their current tank/location in the aquarium.

Origin- where they came from and how.

Daycare- the name of a group of Celestial mers therefore their group members.

First up lets meet our mini Celestials.

These are our Clown fish Celestials.

Sunny

Sunny is The First Celestial Mer to become a resident of our Aquarium, He and one other Celestial were found by some divers at a dying reef, they were malnorished and in need of our help. Sunny is far too freindly to be let back into the wild unfortunately. He obsessively cleans his tank and loves collecting shiny things.

Moon-Moon

Moon-Moon is the other Celestial that was found in that dying reef, we kept an eye on the reef the night we found Sunny because wherever there is one Celestial their opposite will always be near by.

Clips

Clips is our only Eclipse type Celestial in at the Aquarium. He was found mixed in a net with the days catch, they only spotted him after they'd arrived at the port, he unfortunately was sat on ice for a while and even with the fishermans quick-thinking of putting him in a cup of sea water, he still had some bad frostbite, he never fully recoved from but he gets along swimmingly with his tank mates Sunny and Moon-moon.

Now on to our Betta fish.

We have two Betta's at our aquarium.

Moon

This is Moon our Blue Betta, he was confiscated from a pet shop, the shop owner swore he didn't know they were Celestials and that he didn't know it was illigal to sell them but he also kept them hidden in the back so we're inclined not to belive him but had to leave him with a warning, lets hope he doesn't find any more.

Sun

Sun was also found at that Pet shop, it's good to know even the pet shops know that a Celestial Mer can't survive without being in a pair. We're just thankful the dreadfull water quality in the tiny tank the pair was in didn't do any lasting harm.

Now to our Bigger Celestials

We have had the opportunity to rescue a handful of Larger Celestials Including Two sharks and Two Octopodes.

Ray (of sunshine)

Ray was the first of our Large Celestials that we have rescued, he was separated from his daycare during a storm and trapped in a cave. Thankfully the tags we put on the Celestials in the area norified us of his distress. We were able to quickly rescue him and treat his injured tail which had been crushed by the rocks that blocked his escape.

Neo(n)

Neo is our Kitefin shark Also know as a Cookiecutter shark. He was resued from an attack by the fishing village on the island Lassthio in the archipelago just off Sirens cove shore. they are rather hostile to mers he sustained many injuries but we got there in time notified by a local who tiped us on the attack.

The octopodes

Arian and Aur are some of our newest arivals to the aquarium and our first octopodes, they were saved from a drift net (possibly planted by the fishermen hostile towards mers) and taken in by our newest employee who just so happens to be an expert on octopodes, seeing as we were unfortunately not equipt to handle these rare Mer creatures it was perfect timing.

This is 'missing-my-siblings-hours' . So, here you go, Emyr's (Tried my best not to be ooc) (Which I think I am, and I'm sincerely sorry) if MC and Saraah really succeed in bringing him to Camelot:

When Emyr woke up, he didn't expected to have sliced cucumbers along his face, nor did he expect to seeing his older and younger brothers whisking some sort of a gooey mix, while excitedly muttering how much skin care they'd get to work on him after all these years.

And so, when Ghaven walked up to him and applying the mixture on him, Emyr did what others mostly seen on him. He doesn't move at all, too numb to fight back even within a dream that feels like long ago.

Until Saraah, with his own beauty mask still on, eyes stand out among the sliced cucumbers and awkward little braids that somehow reminds Emyr of the one MC used to do with his eyes, look at him with a blank expression, poked his daydreams.

"...Are you seriously thinking you're still just dreaming, my dearest brother who keeps him away from us?"

Saraah's always managed to poke on others nerves, and they're never been easy to get it away.

Instantly, Emyr crawls out his bed, pushing away both his brothers as he flings himself to the nearest window and opens it.

And that's when he knew there's no way back now.

Emyr looks down along the window. He watches as his oldest sister, Adrei, keeps tight hold of Mordred, the only young child he can think so living with the Queen, and there's Radel, his youngest brother, who seems to be in better and healthier states as before, given how he can heard the latter go out his way teaching flowers to their little nephew.

But what holds most is when he saw — the one and last of them all, the youngest one, his little sister who's been trying to get hold of him, who's still reach out despite his distance — appears among the garden.

Emyr always know she'd been beautiful. But nothing can't stop him from worrying back when Adrei's letters come through about her going on battlefields. He'd remember what's like back then for him, his mind goes through those eyes resembling of the purest pearl that always soothe him, when he's still young, and could get a firm hold of his little sibling in his arms.

Ghaven weren't surprised at all. When Emyr's stunned. They kept silence as Saraah sneaks back up to Emyr and offer painful but nonetheless comforting touches, "Yeah, yeah, I know too." His next words, though, ouch. "After all these times... Can't belive we're all together again, huh? Except for Osi—— OCEANA! I mean that boring kingdom in the old mermaid tale! OCEANA! Emyr, stop hitting me! Ah! Ouch!"

If isn't the fact Emyr's still too timid (they'd change it, given now where they are) to even commit a murder, Ghavem would've step in to stop them from a supposedly crime scene. Still, they moves up between both their brothers, and cast away Saraah who's now running off to join in the rest in garden.

He didn't spoke anything. Waiting patiently for Emyr.

"I... H-how did... Is the King——" How did I got here? Is the King aware of this? "W-What will... I can't... They'd got... Of me... S..." What will happen to them? What will happen to you and Saraah? I can't be here! They'd get me! You'd get killed because of me! Sent me back! "I... I... Ah——..."

Emyr crumbles at last. Luckily, Ghaven's there to make sure their knees wouldn't hurt much as they catch him as they gradually fall to the ground. Ah, Adrei'd lecture them on this, definitely. Being too harsh on the joke.

"To answer your questions." They pulls him up back to the bed and throws up every warm blankets from the one mother hen knight closed to their little one. "MC'd been plotting to get you here since the last time we all met. Ironically, your... former house, got some issues."

Emyr don't need to hear anymore to know what's been going around. So he decided to do the thing he's been good at. He closes his eyes, nodding off soundly in his found peace as Ghaven lights up a few candles.

Osia can screw off. Emyr thinks. She can't do no harm to him now that he's faraway than she'll ever think.

A-And... He'd like to hug everyone when he's awake.

Aww omg that's so adorable... bestest of ways to start my day❤ Thank you so much for sending it, anon, I actually think Emyr was quite in character! Having all the siblings together is very nostalgic and makes me want to hurry and get them all to Camelot...

Are we still talking about why they didn't use companion enlistment with tae and joon? Like do we still not know that joon was not a fit in the criteria? Do we not know that taehyung wanted a specialist force? And yes i still do think there're units you can't enter because of tattoos so jikook definitely had few units blocked for them because of their visible tattoos. Ppl are not even allowed to give interviews for government exams in many countries and this is military service we're talking about so obviously some units are off limit.

We all know jungkook mentioned wanting to join a special force right? Which does mean that maybe maybe companion system wasn't his first choice? Which again IF true means that enlisting through a companion system with jimin wasn't his first choice to begin with? Now i know some ppl said the unit or wtv jk mentioned when talking about special force was something that needed 3 yrs of training or something but my question is why would he even say that he also wanted to go in that unit if he already knew that he can't? Especially given it takes 3 yrs and jk wasn't even happy about enlistment as a whole? Also the person who said that the unit jk mentioned needs all those yrs of training is a k-jjk, a korean Jungkook solo who also happens to hate jimin and who also happens to be very sure about cooks sleeping in different dorms and jungkook not seeing jimin so idk how much i can trust this person. you'd never see anyone else's giving a proper explanation as to what jungkook said in that live as in what he mentioned so I'm not beliveing half knowledge or ppl who have been wrong as well and are antis too.

Now that leaves tae or jm as jk's options and since tae already wanted to go for special force and maybe tae's unit don't take ppl with tattoos what choice does jk has there? None. So he obviously can't enlist with tae but of course tae can IF he wanted to but seems like he doesn't want to leave his special force for anything so yeah.

Which leaves jimin and jungkook to either choose a companion system or enlist alone like the rest of the members and i personally would have chosen to go with a friend rather than be alone IF the opportunity presents that way. All I'm saying is that Jikook obviously are close to each other and maybe the closest in the group even but that does not mean they see it the way jikookers sees it. We literally don't know any circumstances around their enlistment so whatever you're assuming is just as valid as whatever I'm assuming. Neither your assumption is better than mine nor is mine better than yours because we all are assuming things based on the information available to us, we're all SPECULATING.

Note: i 100% believe they enlisted through the companion system because they wanted to and it's a mutual decision obviously.

you guys do understand that even if there were only one possible unit for jikook to enlist in for some reason, they still didn’t have to enlist as companions? they could’ve gone to the same unit but not as companions?

what being companions allows them is more certainty that they will be able to stay together. they could have enlisted in the same unit if they wanted to keep seeing each other. being companions means they take leave at the same time, which means they want to spend even their off time together. cause i’m sure it’s a complex situation to arrange your leave from the military so being companions means they can arrange being together during even their leave easier.

you do also know that when people say something it’s not always the bible truth and the only option right? jungkook talking about some unit he liked does not mean that was his first choice. his first choice was jimin above all. if he liked another unit he couldn’t go to, or a similar one, and he still chose jimin you understand that means a lot right?😂 going with jimin wasn’t because he couldn’t go to another unit. because again even if there was only one possible unit they could go to, they still didn’t need to be companions. a lot of ppl say stuff they don’t really mean, jungkook talking about that unit doesn’t mean he was dead set of going there above all. it’s possible he would have preferred a similar unit even but he still would rather be with jimin.

Okay... so I'm pretty sure the "Play My Way" song is canon considering its an official Amanda 2 song and it's listed in the games credits.

So I'm also gonna consider the two animations the song is based on as canon, too. Bear with me.

If we consider all 3 videos canon then things get really interesting.

Timeline wise, I think all three videos take place before the first game.

The first where everything in the Hide and Seek tape goes smoothly where it's just a storyboard happens before Amanda and Wooly got trapped. I think this may have been a pilot to the animated series. It feels like it sets up what Amanda The Adventurer was supposed to be like. Amanda and Wooly are super friendly with each other, plus Wooly is missing his ears just like the games original pilot.

The second version might be sometime after they got trapped. Supposedly Amanda didn't originally remember her life as Rebecca in the first game right? I think this might be where she started to notice something off. When they replay the Hide and Seek tape, Amanda clearly gets the feeling they've done this before. I'm so sure about Wooly here tho.

Now let's talk about the song on its own, ignoring the timeline and just acknowledging that the characters find this tape familiar.

By the third time (the song), Amanda clearly notices that they've done this before and freaks out. And I think here if Wooly didn't notice something off before, he does when his part comes when he's repeating the lines from the animatics he sounds really unsure? "Right, you're the best... you must play this a lot." Like there's a weird sense of unease in his voice when he says this.

The chorus to me feels really interesting because I feel like we're getting Amanda's true feelings about this situation.

"Now watch us play our part. Now watch us dance and sing. Don't want to fall apart like kids who never seem to scream."

I love the puppet-like vibes these lyrics give off.

After this it seems like the tape resets cuz it's suddenly Amanda's turn again. And Wooly seems like he's really frustrated that he's not getting his turn. But Woolys verse is the most interesting to me.

"Now watch us play our part. Now watch us dance and sing. Don't let it break your heart just play along and-" He gets cut off.

This almost sounds equally passive aggressive as Amanda's chorus. There seems to be an equal amount of resentment. But the "just play along" part seems very fitting for Wooly. One thing I think about Wooly is he seems very avoidant of things that upset him. And it got me wondering if the reason he's always trying to redirect things isn't because it's some "job" of his, instead he simply doesn't like it. He doesn't like tragic stories he doesn't like talking about death or people you trust hurting you. But a lot of these things seem like things that Hameln intentionally wanted in the show so I'm really starting to belive that Wooly himself is the one who doesn't want to talk about it.

Another thing I find weird is how adamant Wooly was about wanting a turn and then how the moment Amanda was gone, he started to panic. As his verse continues after Amanda's chorus, he sounds more and more upset. I can't wait till the animation for this comes out because I really wanna know what Wooly was talking about when he says, " I don't wanna go in there." Omg. Didn't Amanda say that once?

Now, when he finds the "cat under the box," this time it's Mr. Fox? And then Amanda sings about killing someone. I don't think it's Wooly because, continuity wise, that doesn't make sense. We found out that killing Wooly does nothing he just comes back. So Amanda wouldn't try it twice, right? So I think it's Mr. Fox before the first game. Maybe Mr. Fox was a character similar to the opossum? Idk why Amanda would kill Mr. Fox unless if he was in their way. Actually, I know it isn't Wooly because Wooly is still alive at the end of the song- (imagine the music video comes out and makes me look like a fool)

I also wonder what Amanda's "it's you" is supposed to mean. Maybe Kate was the one watching this tape?

Anyway, these are my observations and theories. They are kinda messy and subject to change, but what do you think?

6. Healer's summary of treatment of Rook's wounds.

(After Rook is pulled away from the prison)

They've been searching for weeks, and when they finally pulled him out he- He wasn't breathing. Two of them, the Crow and the Warden acted quickly, maybe it was part of the training but what I know is that they resucitated him while the others came running for me.

I don't know if I'm doing a good job, but I'm the only healer here since lord Pavus forced me out of the Eluvian (to safety he said) I'm a better Necromancer than I am a Healer. I hope I'm enough.

Rook woke up after a couple of hours, he still seems lost. He tried to tell us but he's been told to rest for a moment, mister Dellamorte brought him some food and water.

I've been talking to him. He has completly lost his sight on his left eye from the wound he got at Weisshaupt. It was okay before any of this happened. Whatever I was doing wasn't enough.

I wasn't good enough as a Shadow Dragon either. Lord Pavus- Dorian. Wherever you are, please be okay.
