Hello everyone. My floral bust portrait commissions are open.

I have a small queue, and I figured I will open another couple of slots for more breathing room as I finish this queue.

ETA is late March to early April. They are only 35 usd each portrait, and they are priced down from my original 45 usd.

They are priced down as I am a slower artist- I currently have three jobs, and the sole caretaker of a completely disabled mother whose movement is very limited and dependent on able bodied people, partially disabled father, and an autistic sister, who I am sending to school- that means, as I am essentially a parent to all three- my time is very limited, and so because of the longer 3-4 weeks wait, I charge lower.

I draw tieflings, elves, humanoids, dnd characters that are human-like, ocs, tavs from baldurs gate, etc etc- I specialize in ocs of all shapes and sizes-

I can not draw: non human ocs, ocs with their faces covered, I cannot draw real humans: for example: "can you draw my gf?"- real human faces take far longer to draw and stylize in a way that will look like irl people. This means I can not draw furry or mecha as well.

I will only draw busts. Please, please only hire me for what I am advertising, if you feel my art style will fit your oc. You will receive a portrait of your oc with a floral background from the chest up.

You can choose the expression, the clothes, the hairstyle, the flower style, the general color and mood of the piece, and you will have two passes of edits for free.

These instructions are very long, but I've been, drawing for 5 years for folk now, hehe, and in order to streamline my drawing process, I need to become more and more specific with my instructions 😞 I sometimes get requests to draw entire fully rendered drawings in my portrait commissions!

I am requesting for more patient clients! I do my best to meet everyone's expectations, but I also would love folk who understand that I am one person who loves other people's ocs and want to portray them with love and dignity, and that I am working on these highly specialized and specific and personalized portraits, oftentimes 10 at any given time.

Between being a captain and his illness, he knows all too well how suddenly someone can leave your life.

He cannot shirk his duties, but he's always making sure you and your child feel loved.

His favorite thing is when you bring them with you to check in on him.

He feels bad when he's down and out, but he always manages to put on a smile.

He has a wall dedicated to every single get well card and art that's brought to him.

He'll sometimes just stare up at it and remember when he got it.

He dedicates one day out of the month to spend time with you and your child.

From morning until night.

He has to reschedule fairly often due to suddenly getting sick or work, but he does manage.

It's never the same day of the month, but he relishes in the big smile he gets from his child.

Many readers asked for books 2 & 3, and I had many others express interest in a 3-part bundle who missed the first run. I've spent November, December, and January prepping the next parts for print, and I'm so excited to share them with you.

Where are the proceeds going?

Rainbow Railroad is a North American-based organization that works globally to ensure safety and asylum to LGBTQIA+ individuals. This is the same charity we donated to last time, and it was a resounding success. Last time, we were able to fundraise $1,600!

How much does shipping cost?

For US residents, bundles will cost a flat fee of $10. They will ship via media mail through USPS.

For anyone outside of the US, shipping has been estimated through the cheapest carrier, either USPS or UPS minus $10. Unfortunately, I cannot control the cost of shipping, and I know that it is extraordinarily high. The bundles will weigh anywhere between 4-6+ lbs, which is expensive to ship.

Wait, I'm from the US. Why am I paying more for Media Mail?

While Media Mail typically would cost $4-6, the increased price is to offset international orders, whose shipping will cost anywhere from $20-60 with the discount. I hope you understand. I want to make this as accessible as I can without personally eating any costs. I am not making any profit off of this project.

When do orders ship?

Once pre-orders close on 3/13, I will order the books. There is typically a 2-4 week turn around for them to be printed and delivered to me. I then have to package and ship everything from my house. I hope to have everything shipped 1 month after pre-orders close, but I am only human.

US mail should take 2-8 days. International orders can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, so please be patient.

If you are only ordering a damaged copy or postcards, both of which have already been printed, I will ship those out sooner.

When do I get my PDFs?

The PDFs and book proofs are the same, and they are 90% done. PDFs will be delivered via email by me once pre-orders close. I am still doing small changes and edits to make sure they are perfect!

If I order a bundle, do I also need to order PDFs if I want digital copies?

NO! PDFs are included with the bundles and only the bundles. You will not have access to them immediately, only once pre-orders close and I email them to you! Like I said, they are 90% finished, and I am stilling making small adjustments. (Kerning, I loathe you!)

What percent of proceeds are going to Rainbow Railroad?

100%! This excludes the cost of printing and shipping. For reference, the first print run cost $1,254 for the books alone, not including shipping and packaging supplies. Anything remaining goes directly to charity. I am not keeping any costs for labor or making any profit on this.

Wait, there's bonus content?

Remember when I said I was done after the trilogy? Well, @tut557 popped into the Discord server and said, 'Hey, what if they played Mario Kart...' This spiraled into a long conversation about all the different media promos they might do, and then I spent this past November writing another 50k of the #RAINBOWROAD universe for NaNoWriMo. A Formal Observation of R. Rosehearts

As requested by instructor J. Bridger at White Rabbit Elementary Preparatory Academy

[AKA: A Twisted Wonderland Preschool AU]

Information provided by staff prior to observation:

R. Rosehearts is a 3-year-old male who has attended WREPA for nine months. R is reported to be "a smart boy with social difficulties that may require more professional intervention." It is also reported that Mother - Dr. N. Rosehearts - is "resistant to any discussion of potential delays and is often harsh with staff." Father - Dr. S. Rosehearts - is present in the home but has never communicated with staff or been present at WREPA.

Observations:

R arrived with Mother at 7:15 AM. Without instruction or assistance, R removed his hat, coat, and boots and placed them in his cubby. Mother gave a verbal goodbye and left. R did not immediately engage with the other two children who had previously arrived. After several minutes, Instructor J took R by the hand and led him to a prepared activity at one of the tables. Observer sat beside R and attempted to make conversation. R remained self-focused and did not engage with Observer.

During large group gathering, R sat directly beside Instructor J instead of on the rug with the rest of the children. R did not speak and spent most of the time tapping his index fingers and thumbs together in a steady rhythm. While Instructor J was reading, two children began whispering to each other. R stomped his foot loudly in their direction. Instructor J told both R and the other children to stop their behavior and listen. R hugged his knees and began to cry. Instructor J continued with the book. Instructor J later informed Observer that any attempts to soothe R while he is crying is always met with a tantrum.

Following large group gathering, Instructor J and Assistant L took all children outside for morning recess. R was able to dress himself without assistance and waited silently by the door to the playground until all children were ready. Outside, R took no interest in gross motor activities. Observer was informed that R had never attempted the climbing structure and was too short to ride the tricycles. R stayed close to Instructor J the entire time and did not initiate engagement with other children. After ten minutes, R settled into the large sandbox and began digging a hole with a large spoon. Another child began playing a make-believe game beside R and flung sand into R's face (this action appeared unintentional). R then repeatedly hit the child in the head with his spoon, causing the child to begin screaming. Instructor J pulled R back, took the spoon from him, and carried him away from the sandbox. When prompted to explain himself, R loudly declared: "He threw sand at me! He can't do that! That's against the rules!" Victim was later introduced to Observer as C. Pinker. Observer was informed that R and C have frequent physical altercations but that C describes R as a friend. R does not engage in conversations about C. Both families are aware of the situation.

During nap time, there were no attempts by staff to get R to sleep on his cot. Instead, he spent the time looking at books independently. It is noted that while R cannot read yet, he still takes an interest in books and can often memorize and repeat a story after hearing it a few times. R frequently shushed other children who were making noise on their own cots. If the other children continued their behavior, he would loudly stomp his foot at them. Instructor J and other members of teaching staff ignored this behavior.

R was consistently focused and quiet during all pre-academic instruction. He excelled at any activities involving math, science, or literacy. However, he was disinterested in art activities and often left them unfinished. Instructor J informed Observer that this is typical for R.

R elected to remain inside with several other children for afternoon recess though he remained independent. He selected a basket of trains and tracks to play with and settled onto the rug. He talked to himself as he built but Observer was not able to understand any of the words. Other children joined R in the space but his game remained solitary. One of the children was C. R made several attempts to move away from C but was followed. At one point, R reached for a train track and was bitten on the arm by C who was pretending to be a cat. R screamed and threw the train in his hand at C's face. Instructor J removed R from the area and set him on the floor while attending to C's injury. R laid on the floor screaming, kicking his legs, and hitting both hands against his ears. The other children noted his distress but did not approach. This tantrum lasted five minutes until R exhausted himself and crawled into his cubby. Staff made no attempt to soothe him.

Recommendations prior to meeting with Instructor J and Dr. N. Rosehearts:

Observer recommends play therapy for R starting as soon as possible. Observer believes this will aid R in understanding social interactions and provide him appropriate strategies for interacting with fellow students. This may also uncover the root cause of R's apparent introversion and difficulties understanding other children's social intentions.

Observer also recommends a further evaluation for Autism Spectrum Disorder as several physical signs were noted alongside behavioral concerns (including lack of eye contact, low muscle tone, intense meltdowns, physical stimming behaviors, and walking on toes).

Results of meeting with Instructor J and Dr. N. Rosehearts:

Mother was agitated by discussions of R's difficulties and denied that any observations listed were true. Instructor J was accused of exaggerating behavioral trends. Observer had credentials called into question. Reiterating R's evident pre-academic skills did not satiate Mother's desire to hear of R's success.

Observer provided a list of recommended play therapists in the area but the list was refused by Mother.

Mother threatened to pull R from the WREPA program and spoke of pursuing a homeschool education moving forward. She claimed that WREPA staff are: "Not equipped to handle [R]'s scholarly aptitude" and that she would be better suited to educate him.

Instructor J reported a day later that R had been officially unenrolled at WREPA and that any attempts at contacting the family had been unsuccessful.

Could you do the crew with their s/o who got sick via a virus, like a legitimate computer virus that infected them and got them ill. Found it amusing and as a fun way to introduce real world problems to them in the digital world.

TADC cast x reader w/ a computer virus!

Rolling out a request before I work on art stuff tonight, this might be the nights last post !! Still stuck on mobile since my cramps are still. Keeping me from being able to do stuff at my computer <\3

I know you likely meant this to be executed as something akin to a cold, but I cannot shake the idea of a virus being more.. dangerous and intense, given your entire digital body is code.. ponders.. I think I'll go with a middle ground between actual threat and simple sickness

You were in your room, in fact you were hauled up in it for a while, at least a day or two.. some people were starting to get worried; thinking something happened, that you may have abstracted

Ragatha would be the one to find you in bed; body shifting and glitching about

Obviously, given how similar this was to how Kaufmo was discovered, she would think you were in the middle of abstracting.. I think her freaking out with attract the attention of the others

Ragatha is panicking, too weary to get too close out of fear she would get glitched out too and that you'd turn suddenly

Pomni would have a similar reaction, I think, especially since Kaufmo so far has been her only experience with the abstracted , and she doesnt know what the warning signs look like

Kinger is stuck in place,seemingly wrecking himself for the courage to try to help you through this

Zooble seems vaguely shocked, taking a similar route as jax; though they dont leave completely

Gangle , who is in the back, scared and worried out of her mind

Caine... zips forward and after (carefully) inspecting you, announces that you're in fact not abstracting! Youre just sick!

Cue a chorus of relief but also, confusion.. actually kinger is the only one who seems to get it.. hes probably seen someone get sick before.. huh.. weird..

Apparently caine manages to stamp out most viruses before they pose any threat, but it appears sometimes things can happen.. but now with you sick, all you guys can do is wait for you to get better

But hey, caine simps! Look at it this way! You now have the teeth man as your personal bedside nurse since hes the most qualified and able to help you through this!

Kinger, Ragatha, and Gangle still visit you when you're recovering! Ragatha checks in on you to see how you're holding up! Gangle gives you little fidgets and other stuff to keep you occupied! Kinger offers reassurance that things are gonna be alright and he offers to tell you stories

Jax doesnt interact with you until long after you've recovered, far too worried about himself getting whatever yucky computer virus you've caught.. zooble is similar.. can you blame them? No one likes getting sick <\3

Pomni is in between, keeping her distance since shes not sure if what you have is contagious, but as a friend she wants to make sure you're okay.. tough calls here..

Overall, the experience itself sucks... the glitching leaves you sore and sometimes you sit still and "buffer" for extended periods of time.. it also feels like a flu, with the body aches and fatigue and all that...

Star Stable Extra May Blog - The New Tack System

Highlights:

- The goal of fully finishing this before summer 2025, which was promised to us at the end of last year, is no longer achievable - The system works, but they only fully tested it on three different breeds (for which the new system is going to be available as soon as they can) - There is no expected timeline in which they'll be able to move all the Gen 3 horses to the new system. - "We are also building for the future with this system, as anything new we want to do with the horse tack really benefits from this system. We would love to add highly requested tack items like blankets, multiple saddle bags, additional horse decorations, bareback pads, and more! No one knows, but they have to coordinate with the artist for the testing time. They will only test some horse breeds, as this new system should make the tack fit all the gen 3 horses. This also means that with some horses, there may be some clipping issues that they miss. If that happens, they encourage players to let them know about the issues, and depending on the severity, how much time it needs and how fixable the problem itself is, they will fix it as soon as they can.

The New Tack System

Last year we started a project that we, at the time, called the "no (more) retrofit project." Retrofitting is the process we use to make sure our different horse breeds can use the new tack items we create for them. And by tack we actually mean new tack meshes (the 3D art term for the shape of the piece), as we can already provide color and material variations on the tack fitted to each horse. We wanted to make this process less time-consuming and allow us to more easily make entirely new pieces of tack available to most of our horses at once. The current system is very time-consuming, requiring us to manually fit each piece to each horse and test them for any issues. 

There are many reasons why we ended up in a situation where we cannot simply "copy and paste" the fitting of the tack between horses, but mainly, it is due to the fact that we have over and over again sought to upgrade how we create our horses over the years. We are always striving for better looking, moving, and sounding horses.

The solution

To not be stuck with only the tack pieces we already have and have an infinitely-long list of horses to retrofit at any point in time, we decided to create a technical solution to help us. Lotta S, our lead character artist, led the charge together with Petar from the engine team. We have been working on this new system for quite some time now, making progress towards a release. In the fall of last year, it looked like we would be able to get the system done before the end of the year and start getting horses out soon afterward. This was communicated in a blog post, saying we would retrofit "all Gen 3 horses by summer 2025". But, as many of you know, game development is not always a straight road and that date is no longer realistic for completing all the work.

We are at a point now when the system works, and we have worked on three horses as test cases and aim to ship them to you as soon as possible. However, we will not even try to make promises on how quickly we can do the remaining horses. We will bring them in small batches, and since the system is now in place, we will start seeing things go faster for each horse we do. The new system is now simply called the "new tack system," and we call the process of moving horses over to it "porting" them to the new tack system. We are super excited about this new system and eager to bring the fruits of our labor to you players!

So what is taking so long? 

We did not fully understand the number of placement issues we would have, just how much testing it would require, and one more thing: living up to our own quality standards. The amount of fine-tuning we put into placing tack on our current horses is quite a lot, trying to minimize clipping, stretching, wrongly placed straps etc. The previous process required us to do this in a custom way on each breed, allowing our inner perfectionists unlimited ways to fix minor issues. The new system is based on having as few custom tweaks per horse as possible, allowing us in the art craft to quickly set up new pieces of tack or adjust placement on older pieces. This means changing placement is done per horse but will affect all of that type of tack on that horse, and some tweaks (to the meshes for example) will affect all horses.

As you can probably imagine, such a huge change creates some… interesting looking issues. However, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! We chose three very different looking breeds so we could test the system to its limits, and we really do think that will pay off when working on porting the rest of the horses.

What will this give the players?

One thing this will give the players is, of course, the ability to use new tack meshes we have created since the last retrofit of that horse. This is very welcome for many players. The long list of exceptions in the shop will ideally be a thing of the past (but still applicable to older breeds, sorry Gen 1 & 2). We are also building for the future with this system, as anything new we want to do with the horse tack really benefits from this system. We would love to add highly requested tack items like blankets, multiple saddle bags, additional horse decorations, bareback pads, and more! There is more than just the tack system holding us back from releasing new tack slots, but it is one of the most important upgrades we need to do.

Visual bugs & changes to existing horses

When we port old horses to the new system, we will do our very best to ensure the quality stays high like it is now. However, we will not mix between the old and new systems on the same horse, so there will be slight changes when moving over:

- Placement and size of tack can change slightly (sometimes this will look even better)

- We need to make some adjustments to the thickness of pads and other meshes to minimize clipping (parts of the tack going through other parts or the horse)

- Some minor visual bugs will slip through the net but CAN be fixed if we get reports of them

Some of the old horses already have visual issues and bugs. These will mostly remain as is unless they are related to the tack system. Continue to make us aware of the most annoying ones, and we will try to fix them as we go. But remember, we are only supporting Gen 3 and newer. 

New tack pieces?

As I mentioned, we have a lot of plans to bring you players new tack pieces, and first will be something we already have a tack slot for, which are new models of saddles! And thanks to the new system, the ported horses are able to make use of these new models immediately when released. The trick is to coordinate artist time with testing time so we can deliver some sweet-looking tack pieces that fit well. No promises on when the new meshes are coming, but it is happening. 

When we release new tack pieces, we will have a selection of breeds that we will test, but we will not be able to test all of them fully on the same detail level as we have done in the past. The system is built in such a way that we should not be seeing major issues, but please let us know if you do find things we don’t catch. We will then continuously decide on what we do based on the severity of the issue, the time to fix it, and if fixing it could cause worse problems.

Hey Hey! Sorry for the absences, if you've been keeping up with all the updates, you'll know that we've been pretty busy this year and haven't been able to write. o(*￣▽￣*)ブ Yeahhh, School's just been eating up me and Editor T's schedules. 😩🤧 We've tried finding a good schedule for Father R to write without him getting burnt out and for me and Henchman A to be available to edit, pre-read and add our authornotes, but it's been proving to be difficult. That's why we've just settled for the goal of getting at least 2-3 chapters posted per month. It's not as many as it used to be last year, but working on the weekends seem to be the only saving grace. (￣▽￣)" There's a break coming up for Thanksgiving, so we're going to double-timing that week to try and get things posted. I cannot assure anyone that we'll get a chapter posted, but we'll have definitely made progress. I've also made a bit of a routine when it comes to writing to avoid Writer's block, and I'm proud to say Chapter 61 of SSATW is about 78% ready for posting. Thoughts on Fiddauthor?

I have many thoughts about those two nerds, actually.

(read more under the cut -- I won't be tagging it as the ship as I don't believe in putting ship 'discourse' in ship tags, even with the best of intentions. Remember: if you don't agree that is totally okay but complain to your momma and not to me about it, baby-this is my blog.)

I categorize my thoughts as mostly positive! I think some of the best GF art in the fandom usually coincides with this ship-and I get it! I am sold that canonically these two are something, and I love that for them and their superfans alike.

Fiddleford and Ford are both nerdy science wackadoodles (affectionate), who match each other's freak on a level known by very few. I imagine being in the same room as them to be both invigorating and exhausting (in the very best way). They are each other's person to be excited about something with, but also the only other person to be able to understand them. Yes, Ford has his brother who knows him better than most from literally sharing a womb-but it's different. Their bond is just different. I cannot begin to explain how that is so rare- "to be known is to be loved" and all that jazz. I just know they go from talking about music preferences to differential equations to if jellybeans should actually count as part of the food pyramid (it shouldn't; but try telling the man who consumes primarily fiber supplements, coffee and pure sugar that. At least Fiddleford had him eating protein with his beans.).

I like to think post-canon in the show timeline, they are able to heal together and rebuild their relationship; be that platonic or romantic. ((I arguably lean more heavily towards platonic as I headcanon Ford to be somewhere in the ace-spectrum, but I can see other avenues easily and don't disagree with it at all.))

I want soft things for them both more than anything.

They have had a hellish thirty+ years and have for the most part been alone for most of it. They should get to be with the people they love and with each other until the Axolotl takes them both.

However, the rub is that I...I get really sad if I think about them too much.

Especially in the pre-canon/building the portal timeframe. Here's the thing; if Fiddleford was secretly in love with Ford and left his WIFE and SMALL CHILD (yeah, we can all make Emma-May a badass who doesn't need a man in our preferred ship rewrites, but that's STILL what happened and that was SHITTY FIDDLEFORD-NO MATTER HOW YOU SLICE IT) as soon as Ford called as if he has been waiting since they graduated college together, only for Ford to choose his vision (or geometry- it's not my bag but whatever your hc, idc) over him, someone who Ford once described as the only person he could trust...that is gut-wrenching on so many levels.

This is not to make Ford the bad guy by any means, he's not. I truly think his sole focus during this time period (while genuinely being happy to have his companion, a person he obviously cared deeply about, with him again) was never going to be anything but making his "Grand Unified Theory of Weirdness" a reality. He makes that clear from their first adventure together:

"I discussed my dreams of proving my theory. I could finally leave Gravity Falls, return home to the East Coast, & publish my findings to the world. I'd be the toast of the scientific community, rubbing elbows with presidents and prizewinners, debating politics with Reagan, and discussing turtleneck fashion tips with Carl Sagan. Imagine the look on the dean of West Coast Tech's face when he saw that the student he refused was now the next Einstein! Imagine how proud my family and hometown would be: the "Freak" would return a hero! F seemed puzzled by the scope of my plans." -Journal 3, "Day One" evening camp fireside conversation

This single-mindedness of being the "hero", or "winning" is a contributor as to why he couldn't see through Bill's manipulations (along with more nuanced reasons that better people than me have discussed), why he ignored and eventually rejected Fiddleford's warnings, and ultimately why he lost his footing in this reality aside from ya know, Stan pushing him into the portal, but this isn't about him.

I personally have a *thing* about being 'chosen' when considering romantic ships in my brain-in that they should be choosing each other. That's it. Yeah, you can argue or disagree but at the end of the day choosing each other is the goal-and....neither of them did when it mattered. Fiddleford in his selfishness grief turned to forgetting everything entirely, and Ford chose fighting an eldritch being of unknown power alone-because he thought that was the only way. They lost the bond that brought them together. They stopped understanding each other.

Ironically, I am able to easily set aside canon for my favorite ship entirely...but not for these two. Idk why-definitely an emotional response skill issue on my part, and I own that!

So, those are my thoughts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Yes, I will share pretty fan art (truly-there are some amazing artists out there that specialize in depicting them) but I shy away from reading fics or unpacking them too much to keep myself feeling as good as I do about them.

TLDR: Essentially, I love them- but they hurt my heart so completely if I think about them too long.

(Also, there are several...hateful shippers that go around and hate on other ships involving these two and it's just...exhausting. I block and move on for the most part, but truly that is an overall detractor because it's hard to appreciate someone's art/pov about the ship when they're being so awful otherwise.)

Like “Oh yeah no the reason rapunzel and cass are always sneaking off together isn’t because they’re having a steamy love affair it’s actually because they’ve been making blood sacrifices to the underworld to make sure zhan tiri never returns. - this is kind of random but i PROMISE its going somewhere bear with me. In my head eugene is NOT the captain of the guard because a character becoming a cop is literally a fate worse than death. instead i like to imagine he does some kind of social work and is also an author…Eugene has a rlly strong connection to literature and is a great storyteller, hes got a flair for the dramatic and a strong imagination and seeing how much the flynn rider books meant to him in his childhood, i think he’d absolutely want to create something like that for other people 🥹

Anyways one of my favorite ideas w them is a modern au where rapunzel and eugene are both starving artists who are making a webcomic together…Eugene is still trying to publish his first novel and is writing for the comic in the meantime. theyre aspiring towards turning it into a graphic novel. Cass is literally just forcing everyone around her to read it. You’ve already read it? Read it again /J. She’s their number one hypeman but she’s trying to act sooo chill about it to keep up her Cool stone cold butch aesthetic. She’s like going to cons with them and hands out business cards and helps sell merch and she has a side account on twitter where she gets into heated arguments with anyone who hateposts about it.

Bonus points: it’s a fantasy comic about a lost princess, her knight girlfriend and her rogue boyfriend and is loosely a reference to the events of the canon show

- OH OH something that DEFINITELY fits this category has to be the girls taking eugene to the lagoon for the first time…….I think cass and rapunzel still spend a lot of dates there just the two of them, and no matter what it is very much Their Spot ™, but after things become official it just. Doesn’t really feel right to keep it exclusively between them anymore. i have a LOTTTT of thoughts on this…..rapunzel bouncing around and showing everything to him and cass just being dragged along for the ride…picnics together by the water while cass and raps are eagerly telling him all the stories of what he missed out on. it’s their quiet place i think they escape to whenever they don’t want to be bothered at the castle LOL. eugene officiates the cassunzel wedding there….. not to mention if/when they have kids 🥹 Augh. They make sooo many memories there i think🫶🫶🫶

- Not a specific scene so much as just a silly hc but rapunzel LOVES it when they “fight” over her. Usually it’s just a playful thing and rapunzel finds it so cute and endearing. They have the exact same banter every time and the same fake “duel” for her hand and raps will NEVER get tired of it

- oh and SPA DAYS. God cassandra’s self care routines by herself have always been SHIT. I love that girl but i think she absolutely reeks. Her hair looks like something died in it and whenever it gets too long she just grabs the nearest sharp object and cuts it off in one swoop. Eugene and rapunzel are UTTERLY horrified by this and they do not let that shit fly as soon as she’s living with them. They have little self care nights at least once a week, sometimes just with the three of them and sometimes the rest of the family gets into it too, it depends on the day. eugene helps do her hair for her and they pick out all sorts of fancy products for her skin and her curls and just absolutely SPOIL her. at first shes kinda whiny about it but once she realizes how much better she feels on a day to day basis she reluctantly apologizes for ever doubting them

Just finished playing the game and DAMN do I like it :3 (this is gonna be a long message hope that's okay, and discussing spoilers if that matters lol)

First, I, as a queer he/they, always appreciate a gender-neutral MC, so thank you. Also, love the design of the Doc, he's really cute, and I like how his eyes are both super big and adorable, but also really creepy when need be, good art

Second, during the first night, those eyes appearing in the door?Genuinely really scary. Like, I was expecting some level of creepiness from a game like this, but that was just terrifying. Anyway, my theory is that those eyes were the Anselm because this guy would probably freak tf out at the idea of someone else watching the MC. Bro would be possessive af (at least I sure hope he is)

Third, the endings. I liked them, yes I would love an ending with a seemingly happy life with Anselm, even if it technically isn't a good ending. I just have a soft spot for doctors. For the bad one, I don't know how dark you are going to go with the story, but my theory is that he did something to the MC's body, like their legs or something, to make them weaker so they can't escape, which is why he was so aggressive about the MC not being able to go on a walk. I mean... my body is pretty weak, but unless the MC is made of paper, they wouldn't just start bleeding out from standing up unless something was up? I'm onto you...

ANYWAYS! Excellent start! However, my one issue is the "illusion of choice" if that makes sense? Like, the little options the player is given over dialogue options don't have that much impact in the end? The only one that seemed to make a difference was choosing to accept or reject the medication. I think it would make the game a lot more dynamic and make the player feel like they have more impact in the story if the dialogue options had more branching paths. Like, if in the final product, depending on how you talk to Anselm, it affects how he treats the player or how far he is willing to try and go to keep you? I just feel like currently, the player lacks a bit of agency, but that's my only "complaint", and something that could definitely be explored in the final version! Hopefully, I'm not coming across as too mean.

I hope this game gets its final version, as I need more content with the doctor immediately! I love him!

For the neutral ending of the demo, its a continuation of the storyline! So in terms of story, there is still more to come. And of course, there will be endings for the MC and Anselm where they will be "together" (づ ◕‿◕ )づ

Q: Will there be an Ao3 collection for fan fiction, or would they be standalones?

A: I would love to make an Ao3 collection for all of these! When creating starts (April 20th), I will make one, but please don’t publish anything until gifting day (June 20th)!

No matter what you’re creating (art, fic, comic, etc) posting it in the Ao3 collection would be awesome! I’m not the best versed in doing much other than reading on Ao3 but I’ll be able to help with any issues since I like brute forcing issues

Q: Would it be possible to post them on Ao3? Who would need to give permission?

A: Ideally the collection would be public, with every creators permission, but if you’d like your own work to be only accessible in the collection/not in the collection that’s okay! I say it’s up to the creator whether to publish or not but if you as the receiver really don’t want anything public then please put that into the form somewhere

Q: Would there be a min/max word count?

A: I don’t want to force anything, or be too strict. I would say it’s about putting in effort- like with IRL gift giving, is it a nice gift? Last time I did one of these I did some photo editing + a fic a bit over 1k words

Q: Do I have to write a fanfic?

A: No! Fanfic is just an example I’ve used a bit because it’s the area I’m most versed in read my Ao3 fics ezekiel_13 but, to be serious, anything goes! If it’s a nice gift, that is. Fanart, fanfic, a cross stitch, a comic, a poem, photo editing, a mod? Literally anything, so long as it’s a gift you’d like <3

A focus on the character(s) provided. But other than that, it’s just put in the effort and make sure it’s done by June 20th <3 Steer clear of smut/sexually explicit stuff because some entrants are minors, etc.
