Alright, so. I feel like Lando’s desire for control on track would 100% translate into this primal need to keep that same control when it comes to his sex life; yes, he would jump on literally any opportunity (to be read as surface) to get some. Imo, doggy is perfect for that since it’s all about dominance, pace, pulling her back into him like he's got something to prove, and setting the rhythm exactly how he wants it. Also, the view? Such a power move, and he’s all about that.

HOWEVER.

Against the wall + gripping at the waist + taking her apart while keeping eye contact. Oh, lordy. Add to that the thrill of it happening somewhere it shouldn’t... it's suddenly so hot in here??

you have such a talent of weaving in foreshadowing throughout a story. readers really need to read in between the lines and read every word !! to see all the details you’ve added. it’s truly genius what you’ve done. again, your level of subtly in details is so so so good. the build of tension, scene settings, characterization is all so well done. you deserve to be so proud of what you’ve created. i kiss your brain !

their love literally haunts them both (in different ways). she is smothered by it physically—i.e. the dolls all around the house, but also yearns for his touch even if with undertones of violence because it fulfills her; it gives her maintaince of perfection purpose (if that makes sense?? i’m rambling idk). and he is consumed by it mentally, to the point where all his work is centered around her. there is no waking moment where they’re not on each others mind. their level of devotion is so bittersweet and sickening.

he desperately wishes to be delicate with her, his precious doll of a wife, but his hands so badly want to break and destroy in hopes of making what’s already his truly his own creation. something that cannot be taken from him (as if she was going anywhere like ㅠㅠ) and something that is everlasting. goddd this sunghoon is so morbidly beautifully in all the wrong (right 🤓👆🏼) ways !!!

I’ve been living alone for the first time in my life for about 5 months now and i wanted to share some things i learned as well as what im going to start trying to do to help myself

1. Time is Hard 🤓

Like, yeah duh, as a system ig it’s a no brainer. But i also don’t have a job right now, and i knew time blended together but it’s increasingly difficult to manage my time, be aware of time, and plan what i do with my time. i wake up, ???????????????, and then it’s night time.

This as been incredibly frustrating for me and lately i’ve been feeling pings of shame that i can’t function. I’ve tried buying a planner, i lose my planner or forget to write in it if i ever do find it. i’ve tried reminders on my phone, i read them and they don’t spark any sort of intention to complete….

WHAT IM TRYING

-Using a whiteboard on my fridge where i put down important things i MUST do

-Setting timers throughout the day to grab my attention. I’ll be starting with one every 2 hours and see how it works for me

2. There’s an Outside???

I cannot tell you the last time i’ve gone outside. I suspect this is connected to my childhood, as for years i was never allowed to leave my room unless it was time to eat or go to school. So now as an adult it’s difficult to even THINK about outside, what’s that?, my brain sees my house as the world and i can spent weeks without leaving the property. some days i feel proud to just go into the backyard

WHAT IM TRYING

-get into a routine of going into the backyard at the same time everyday, for me in the mornings to start. and as time goes on, trying to take more walks, then grow from there and take a drive to the park or something?

3. Chores

This has been the bane of my existence since it’s directly connected to my trauma. i find it difficult to complete household tasks without external pressure or threats, so it’s common for my space to get messy and i’ll have blindness to it all. i hate it.

WHAT IM TRYING

-I used to plan a day to clean every week, but quickly learned that my planner was not going to work for me. so i’ll be trying to clean as i go and not put so much pressure on myself to complete everything in day like i was doing before. Leaving my room? what can i take with me or put away before i go. Leaving the kitchen? what can i put away or wash before i go. i’m hoping this will help facilitate small accomplishments versus thinking i have to clean the whole house in a single day

4. Eating is Hard

i’ve lost an alarming amount of weight due to dissociating through hunger pings or overall not noticing when i should eat. this has started to affect my energy levels and sleep quality and i also suspect stems from my trauma

WHAT IM TRYING

-I’ve been battling this consistently to no avail so i’m finally scheduled to see a nutritionist next month bc with all the other struggles im facing, this particular issue has fell thru the cracks and i couldn’t manage it on my own.

-But i suppose the best thing i’ve tried is actually recognizing it as a problem instead of talking myself out of it by saying “i’m only fasting” when i knew in my heart it was deeper than that

Overall Update: it’s been a tough couple months, but i’m finally getting the ball rolling and the referrals scheduled. im still waiting to hear back for my mental health referrals but im feeling more hopeful about my journey and working on accepting my struggles instead of trying to pass as healthy.

I LOVED Lights Out! Josh’s inner monologue was very hilarious but also so relatable. Allie was such a wonderful FMC as well and I could relate so much to her because I’m a nurse. I saw the film on Black Friday with my three oldest daughters. Both my oldest and I have read the book (as well as the original trilogy), and seen the original films multiple times. My second oldest daughter has read the original books and seen the original films, but didn’t read TBOSAS, and my middle-middle daughter has read the original books but not yet seen those films, and did not read TBOSAS before we watched it. So, we all had pretty varying perspectives on it, which led to some very interesting discussions afterwards! 🤓

SPOILER ALERT!

I absolutely *loved* the film! It’s honestly 50/50 as to whether I enjoyed the book or the film better, which almost never happens! I’d give it a solid 9/10.

The performances were all top-notch, and most of the changes that the filmmakers made to the original story were fairly minor (mainly how some of the tributes die and the timing of the snakes entering the arena). We also got to see some things from Lucy Gray’s point of view during the Games, which added to the overall tension in those scenes. The various Easter Eggs sprinkled about that were all nods to fans of the original films were just awesome, and I’m sure I even missed a few.

What I wish we would have seen more in the film: the romance. By the time Coryo and Lucy Gray kiss in the film, they’re already in District 12, and it honestly didn’t seem to be the kind of kiss you’d give someone if you’d believed you’d never see them again. I expected a bit more oomph there I guess. Also, Sejanus’s parents were pretty much absent, and I was really looking forward to at least one scene with Coryo and Mrs Plinth where she tries to coddle him. We also didn’t get any introduction to their squad mates in Twelve, and I’d been looking forward to that as well.

None of those things took away from my enjoyment of the film, though, and I honestly cannot wait to watch it again 😎

All of the banners and dividers are my own work and I'm still learning the very basics of digital art. If I didn't have to rely on my mouse, I might be able to do more, but I'm having fun, gradually getting better and that's what matters.

The rhyme/reason thing tends to show up more in one-shots where I pick or create a new banner to at least pair well with the mood in the story. I got really creative with the Christmas story banners and dividers! It was a lot of fun!

I really hope you like the latest chapter. And the next couple. I always worry I'm taking things in a direction people don't want or won't like, but I hope it makes sense.

this was........... a journey. honestly, most of it was copy and pasting code because I'm a poser and can't think for myself. but it was still really hard and the code is messy but I do wanna improve in the future since I plan on building something for my partner too.

deploying was a nightmare I didn't use mysql but everything loves mysql. sqlite is the default for laravel and I didn't know better but I am so never using it again. I kind of don't want the database within the files itself and would like to connect it to my host's mysql database thingy.

I literally have xampp! I should've just used mysql grahhhhh.....

I don't know how safe it is to have a database within the files like that, but I'll probably back it up every once in a while and if someone hacks or whatever like pervert I literally do not care because my password is completely unique to that site and not reused for any social media and also it's encrypted... and there's not a trace of other sensitive information that I know of that I added.

so it's not worth anyone's time.

anyways webdev is so hard. I literally cannot imagine doing this from scratch. I am worshiping the black box that is laravel.....

but I did learn a lot. I think I'm a top-down learner..... I gotta know the big idea before the details make sense. I didn't even know what the fuck MVC was until yesterday. no idea that that's what I was even doing. I hate learning anything in school because it's all about the small stuff first @_@ I forget everything so quickly that information cannot be "built up"... you gotta give me the whole building and a hammer and let me break it down

I think because of this experience I can learn more about the actual lower level details... :> I will keep on expanding. it's fun! keeps my brain all soft and gooey.....

the sea's nocturne (18+) - see I thought this was pretty good at first, it's a more low-key story about overcoming anxiety and accepting love into your life but by ch 45 I think I see the pattern this manhwa is most likely going to follow (they get together, they take a break due to the MC's lingering anxiety, they get back together, something else comes up and the break up again, then they get back together etc) which is fine, but I'm personally not a fan of these stories. I do understand the MC's thought pattern and his actions do make sense in the context of the story, but idk something about this one just made me go "hmmm I think that's enough for me, good luck babe". maybe I'm just not a fan of the anxious MC archetype (the only exception is yuuri katsuki loml, something abt the way he was written just Clicked with me)

traces of the sun - I need to read the novel for this one, I really liked it!! a dungeon crawler action BL manhwa in the vein of "necromancer survival" with really cool fight sequences!!! the main draw of the story though is the MC and his journey of healing and overcoming his trauma and survivors guilt. I was rooting for him the entire story and I felt so sad about his situation like pls a crumb of happiness for my boy PLEASE!!! it's about feeling trapped by your past and wallowing in guilt and refusing to move on but you have to, bc despite what you think u deserve to live!!! I WANT TO LIVE!!!!!! honestly I was kinda eh about the romance bc the ML is a manipulative little bitch (derogatory) so it was hard to tell if he was genuine or not (even tho there are hints throughout he was down stupid bad even if he doesn't recognise it himself) but I still loved how it was clear that the MC is cared for a lot by him and his squad of hunter friends. definitely rec this one!!!!!

one-room TA (18+) - still pretty early in serialization but I feel it in my bones this ones gonna be a banger. it's SUCH a funny read and what's great is it pokes fun at typical tropes u find in BL manhwa, like they brought shit up that I sometimes think about when reading 😂 the humour is so good and the characters are all such a delight to read about. I thought this was just gonna be a fluffy comedy series but then they suddenly hit you with the discussions on social anxiety and overbearing parents, so it definitely isn't just a surface level comedy series. there's a moment where it actually made me tear up which I consider a huge accomplishment. anyways I'm keeping my eye on this one, I hope it keeps up the writing quality!!! (sidenote but I am like 90% convinced the author was a bio major bc like there were a lot of cell biology references, like yeah maybe they just googled some shit but some of these references are so specific 😭)

villains are destined to die - A BANGER!!!!! I absolutely love the FL in this and I just want her to catch a break so badly!!! I love how this one puts a lot of emphasis on how the FL's life was prior to being transmigrated, as how she was brought up heavily affects the decisions she makes throughout the game. her anxiety about the precariousness of her situation and the tension in her quest to survive the story is also palpable, and u just cannot help but root for her to beat the game and stick it to all the people out to get her. the MLs are also all interesting in their own way and its honestly not super clear in the beginning who the actual ML is. ofc predictably my fave ML is callisto, his interactions with penelope are so fun to read and u can see how they are more relaxed around each other, as well as how they're able to connect due to the similarity of their situations. anyways I'm waiting for season 5 in my mouth plspslsplssplspslslspslslslslspls I'm nothing 😩 I ended up reading the novel through the jankiest fan translation I've ever encountered and I am so excited for Certain Scenes to be adapted aaaahhhhhh

I'm trapped with the male lead in a horror game (18+) - really enjoying this so far, the setting gives such strong RPGmaker horror game vibes, it really reminds me of the witch's house, esp with the premise being it's a mansion that fucking hates you and you're trying to escape. I have a feeling the MC isn't actually a player that transmigrated, I feel like she gained sentience and is trying to escape the game / the curse that trapped her in the mansion. I'm honestly a lot more interested in the mystery of the mansion rather than the rship between the FL and ML, but they do have a good dynamic as of recent chapters. the ML starts off extremely wary and untrusting of the FL for obvious reasons, so it was nice to see him slowly trust her and understand the fact that the house curses it's inhabitants, so he's able to see why she does certain things and doesn't blame her when he can clearly tell she was manipulated into harming him by the mansion.

between the lines (18+) - this one gives such strong "semantic error" vibes except that I like dohu 500x more than sangwoo bc he is so fucking funny and much less frustrating to read about. I love love LOVE the relationship between the MC and ML, they do get off to a rocky start but they quickly become very sweet with each other!!! we love a wholesome couple who have nasty disrespectful sex!!! they're both giving autism x autism and I honestly love that for them. I would highly rec this, especially if you love a "me and the bad bitch I pulled with my autistic swag" dynamic, like dohu's autistic rizz is unmatchable 😩

the 11th school trip - only 2 chapters out for this manhwa but I'm camping I got my popcorn READY, it's an adaptation of a novel by the same author as "traces of the sun" so I'm so excited to see where it goes!!! right out the gate the art is so unique and colourful, it actually reminds me a bit of how "semantic error" coloured its panels and used certain effects (some of the panels remind me of pop art, it's very cool!!!) anyways I obvs don't have much to say I'm just putting this here so hopefully more ppl read it and camp with me ⛺️

The most romantic thing, I think at least, is a line of dialogue that Jay says later (much later) in the fic that sorta parallels an earlier conversation. It’s one of my absolute favorite quotes from the entire fic and I cannot wait until we reach that point in the story. 🥰
