Shadows of Forever (Chapter 1/? - We are not in Kansas anymore)

Ho ho ho @mionedray! So I was your Secret Santa this year! It’s been such a joy to craft this tale and brainstorm with your answers along the way. Spoiler alert: I did manage to weave the soulmate storyline together with the Underworld theme (and I had so much fun doing it).

The story grew beyond what I originally planned, so it’s going to be a multi-chapter adventure, likely around 3–5 chapters. I truly hope you enjoy it, and thank you for inspiring such a wonderful journey!

Also, a special shoutout to my cousin, who is learning to become a digital artist and created the header for this story. It was such a great learning experience for her, and I’m so proud of how it turned out!

Summary: Emma Swan's day is going terribly. She's stuck in the underworld with only fragments of memory, her only guide is an irritatingly handsome rogue who speaks in riddles, and the realm itself seems determined to either kill her or make her remember things she's pretty sure never happened. (Except they did happen. Maybe. Possibly in another lifetime.) As Emma and Killian navigate through a landscape of shifting shadows and darker truths, they can't shake the feeling that they've played this game before—and lost. But this time might be different, if they can trust each other long enough to uncover why the underworld feels less like hell and more like a very deadly case of déjà vu.

Hello again all! Our next artist for the CSSNS is none other than @flipperbrain!!! She is doing not only her own fic with art accompanying, she’s doing fic art for another CSSNS author as well!

How long have you been in the CS/OUAT fandom? 

2 years in May

When did you start shipping CaptainSwan? 

I'd never heard of 'shipping' before I joined Tumblr, but I loved the tension between them starting in Season 2. Killian was beautiful from the get go but he truly stole my heart in Neverland and I've been a goner ever since.

What drew you to this event?

I'm usually not into supernatural type au's for CS but @kmomof4 asked me to make a header for the cssns blog and it was a lot of fun so I thought why not? Now I've already written my story and done the art for it, lol, and it's not posting until July! Guess I'll have to flesh it out some more or write another chapter or two in the meantime. :)

What inspired your topic? 

I've had an idea in my head for a vampire one-shot for a awhile, I'm sure it's not all that original of a concept but it's done my way, dark and broody.

I am over the moon excited that Kris has decided to join us for this event! I had an idea of what she might do for the banner when I asked her to do it, but she exceeded all expectations! I’m pretty sure that anyone reading this would agree with me that the banner is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I swear, I couldn’t stop staring at it for literally DAYS!! And I still just get a thrill of delight down my spine overtime I log on to the blog and see it again! She is responsible for the icon as well! So everyone go say “hi” to this incredible artist and flail over that breathtaking banner!! Her fic will drop on July 10!

1. Why did you choose your url? It has always been my name for fandom stuff since I was a wee tween in the Wild West days of the internet. I have a whole little post on it but TL:DR it's a homage to Merlin but I spelled it wrong.

2. Any side blogs? Sorta. I have a bunch of URLs @angrygeographer, @ouatdrabbles, @muse-matters that I occasionally post to. But these days I barely maintain this blog so....

3. How long have you been on Tumblr? early 2012 but it was a password-protected blog and was a way to share my deployment. This current blog is from the summer of 2014. And that’s when I started participating in a community.

4. Do you have a queue tag? Yup. queue you later

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? I had a lot of thoughts and feelings about Once Upon A Time and needed a place to share them. And boy did I share them…

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp? I wanted my own face but not all my face. So I put on a scarf that @thisisevenharderthannamingablog made me and my Alas Poor Yorick T-Shirt and snapped one.

7. Why did you choose your header? It’s a pic from my trip to Namibia. I just like it and it goes with my color scheme.

8. What’s your post with the most notes? - This one. Which was a CaptainSwan fangirling moment but it's generic enough that it keeps getting reblogged about other ships. My runner-up I am much more proud of as it's about Colin fitting the "top three turn-ons for women"

9. How many mutuals do you have? 39 but I think over half of them are no longer on tumblr/are super inactive.

10. How many followers do you have? - Like 1.7k but it's less every day.

11. How many people do you follow? -153 but many are pretty infrequent posters these days.

12. How often do you use Tumblr each day? I'm not on it everyday. When I get on it might be quick or it might turn into an hour of scrolling.

13. Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Not really. There were people in the fandom or BNFs that I didn't stan but why fight in my happy place?

14. How do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts? It makes me want to ignore the post entirely. Thankfully I don't see that many on my dash.

15. Do you like tag games? Depends on my mood. But mostly yes.

17. Which of your mutuals do you think is Tumblr famous? They are all tumblr famous to me because I love their stuff.

18. Do you have a crush on a mutual? I like all of them. That's why I follow them.
