Both Dogdays and Catnaps OG design feature zippers on their chests, so I thought that’s where the whole scent thing must be! The thing that Catnaps holding is a scent canister (he has to replace it every time it runs out!)

I also gave Catnap some pjs cause it looked cute <3, tho I wonder if I should give Dogday anything… maybe a set of overalls??? Idk

Pretty generic question but does your player and the toys accompanying them ever have any moments where there’s nothing crazy going on in the factory and they have a moment to relax? Do they try to talk things out with the others during this time? Or is it just a moment of silence and taking in the peace of the quiet factory?

Oof, it's AU ramble time again. Also another question mix!! Hope you don't mind @an-eggs-quest & @tallahatchet (sorry for the tag sjkdfhskfhd).

Back in Safe Haven, they had tons of quiet moments, compared to what Raph would've have while descending deeper and deeper in the factory, which was... pretty much equal to zero.

The guy took to heart what Doey told him about "catching his breath". He would want to sit around the kids, maybe manage to cheer them up a bit and get them to laugh somehow. He'd also get curious about the drawings on the wall and would want to add his little contribution. Poor guy needs to feed his artistic brain a bit lmao. I like to think the critters would be intrigued and watch, maybe some of them would even join him. And maybe they'd make a drawing all together. It distracts everyone for a little while.

Raph tried taking things easy. As much as feasibly possible in their situation. It brought him a sense of normalcy he realized he terribly needed. And for a little while, he felt like genuinely smiling again.

After the Safe Haven incident, breaks are less frequent. The whole gang is tense from 1. everything that's already happened 2. the loss of their friends and 3. knowing they're being tracked down by Huggy and (presumably) the Prototype.

But when they find a remotely quiet and well-hidden spot, they let themselves relax. Catch some sleep. Even if just for a bit. They need the energy after all.

... Catnap usually keeps a sleepy eye on everyone. As for Raph...

... Let's... not talk about sleep. For reasons. (Bonus rambles in the tags !)

i honestly can't help but notice that everyone looks sad or even a little relieved.

but catnap looks horrified. like he just lost everything after the factory blew up.

...can i ask why? or is that question too insensitive?

The reason why is rather simple, compared to everyone else who knew that the Prototype was batshit insane, Theo/Catnap genuinely believed that what he was doing was right. That staying in that shithole was so much better now that the adults were out of the way, but then things kept getting worse and worse, you know? food becomes scarce, the factory, with no one to do maintenance, is falling apart. But you continue to cling to that hope that the thing that saved you will continue to protect you.

Then in one night, one ex-employee changes everything, the tight control your god had on your home begin to wane and loosen, friends who became traitors joined his side, and yet you cling on to the false hope that your god will protect you.

only for him to almost kill you too.

It is because of the kindness of that ex-employee, revered an angel by the heretics, that he saves you, away from the grasp of the god that just betrayed you in your most vulnerable.

it is that same night that the heretics win, the god has fallen, everyone is trully free.

the remains of the factory, a tormenting hell and yet...your home, burns ablaze, the sins of the evil adults cleanse by rightful fire..

but it was still your home.

OOOOOOR he's just traumatized and the fact the only place he has ever known was completed exploded by a twink and his colorful furry friends that were once considered traitors <3 xoxo

if any of the toys on the higher levels found out about Cassie would they do anything?

I can't answer for all of them because some I just don't know.

I think Mommy LongLegs would be friendly actually. Because in ch 2 it seems she acted out of spite for what was done to the children at Playtime and hated Player/Employee because she recognized them as a past worker. From my understanding she seemed to care about the children. So seeing Cassie who's also a kid, I think she'd rather be a friend than otherwise. Heck, maybe Mommy and Doey could even find common ground in caring about Cassie.

CatNap I think wouldn't be flat out hostile either but he most likely would want to take Cassie to the Prototype, like the orphans were. So better keep her away from CatNap anyways.

DO NOT LET MISS DELIGHT ANYWHERE NEAR CASSIE

DogDay would be friendly no doubt. But he'd also be horrified at the prospect of Cassie being in this place. Assuming he's already in his legless and emprisioned state, he'd feel sorrowful at not being able of offering significant help, but if he ever got the chance he'd advise Cassie to escape or at least keep herself safe, and urge Doey to continue keeping her safe.
