Charlie was usually a jackass when it came to the masters and the staff, having a pretty low opinion of them, but he didn't see the point in taking out his frustration on the people in the Undercroft. You had to have some allies around the place, after all. The dragon started to follow after Hugo, slipping his hands into his pockets with a quiet sigh at the question. "It's been...five years since the last time I was down here. I'd say it's an adjustment, but not much has changed down here." Still a depressing and cold place to be, but they clearly didn't want the unclaimed slaves comfortable. It wouldn't make some of them so desperate to be claimed. "Nah, it's alright, I don't mind talking about it. I managed to escape this place two months ago. Got my dumbass captured again, obviously. Think Raphael is only keeping me down here for right now as some extended punishment. Or he hasn't figured out exactly what he's going to do to me yet."

Hugo clasped the other’s outstretched hand gently to offer a polite shake, his smile widening by a fraction at how smoothly things seemed to be going. It was always a gamble when it came to initiating conversation with others down here. Even with kindness as his virtue, that didn’t mean that others were always willing to engage. Hugo couldn’t blame them; their shared circumstances were abysmal. “Hugo. It’s a pleasure to meet you, all of…” he gestured loosely at their surroundings with his free hand. “…this aside.” Pulling his hand back and straightening up, Hugo moved to idly wander away from the cots and spared a glance over his shoulder to check that Charlie really was willing to indulge in a walk around such a depressing environment. “You said that it’d been a while since you were last here, didn’t you? What happened?” Realising the bluntness of his question, Hugo frowned and cleared his throat to offer a little clarification. “There’s no pressure to discuss it, of course. Only if you’re comfortable talking about whatever occurred.”

I find it incredibly funny that Philza isn’t really a serial adopter as fanon often claims. Instead, he simply exists around people, and then after awhile they will just declare that he is their dad.

Like people are bound to either call this guy a good friend or their Minecraft father once they get close to him and he actually has zero say in the matter lol

Though Gareth very much doubted that Finn would consider his potential Halloween costume to be 'fun', since the aswang tended to dress the familiar in borderline ridiculous outfits for the castle events. Considering Gareth was feeling a little more charitable towards Finn at the moment, however, he'd been considering just letting the older man choose what he wore. "Honestly kind of think he'd hate being handcuffed to Silver more than me putting him in something like this, anyway."

Eyeing the dress sceptically, Hugo tried to keep a diplomatic smile on his face as he could manage as he mulled over the variety of responses that sprang to mind at the questioning. Given just how new of an addition the nephilim was to Krovs’ collection of those dragged into the Undercroft, he felt fortunate to have narrowly avoided the tournament and all its intricacies; large crowds unsettled him far too easily and the likely rampant air of chaos that would’ve permeated the stadium filled him with a distinct discomfort he knew he’d never be able to settle into. He gave a lighthearted laugh at the explanation, reaching out to tentatively feel the material. “Given how uncomfortable that’d be after twenty minutes, I think any alternative would be preferable. It’d only be worthwhile if you had a matching one stashed away somewhere. Maybe that’s something to consider for Halloween?”

Miraculous Divorce AU

So I had this idea for a while:

All the crime fighting, the lies, the betrayals eventually take a tall on Marinette and Adrien's relationship.

In my head, after the defeat of Hawkmoth/Chrystalys, they try to work through it since they do love eachother to death and for almost a decade and a half everything seems well . But as we know love isn't always enough...

Eventually sometime after the birth of their third child, the fighting becomes more frequent and the cracks of their relationship can no longer be ignored. For the sake of their children and their superhero partnership, Marinette and Adrien separate and have shared custody of their children.

The kiddos mostly stay with Adrien since his work is more grounded than Marinette's, thus it gives him the opportunity to spend more time and care for their children. That said Marinette is incredibly involved and they co-parent very well.

There is no malice behind the divorce, just two people who went through a lot of trauma during their teenage years but they still care about and love eachother.

But here's what I meant by Varian and Hugo have memories. Ulla and Donella have letters.

I'm pretty sure most of us have read Varians tangled trials by @i-found-you-justine-time (soz for the tag) or at least heard of it. Which means you know the New Memories scene with the snowball fight right? Well that's Varigos thing they're able to create new memories, happy memories, work together, love and trust each other. When they're with one another those bad things don't seem so bad. They're crazy about each other and they both know it. They don't need physical evidence of this.

With Donella and Ulla they had a few falling outs the worst ending in Ulla being trapped in the library. Despite this they still wrote to each other (before the library incident). That's their thing they need physical evidence (letters) that they love each other otherwise there's distrust. Even so the letters end up burnt or torn. For a long time their relationship wasn't very healthy do they adore each other? Yes of course. But their lives are so complicated and even tho they enjoy each other's company they can't forget the complications. But Varigo can. They're able to forget for a while and love each other. Donella and Ulla can learn to trust and love each other but they don't know how to without the letters that ultimately ended in their fallout. It's a perfect example of the difference between generations/ how generational cycles happen. It's the same story repeating itself the only difference is one had trust and one didn't. One stayed one left. One trusted their memories one trusted their writing (letters). (It also reflects their characters and growth but there's nothing I can say Abt that character growth that probably hasn't alrdy been said).

It's a metaphor using things we see in the series that reflect their characters, story and generational cycle.

New memories. Old letters.
