Something that they don't warn you about when you transition is every time you meet a younger trans person you become locked in to older sibling mode. I (25, 4+ years on T, top surgery) have only known this kid my buddy is pals with (20, pre-T, only now realising surgery is a feasible thing he might be able to do if he wants) for ten minutes but apparently I'll kill anyone who is mean to him? I could do more with this but i don't really wanna.

I've been plotting some epsilon's guide stuff for a bit and am finally feeling like i'm getting somewhere. Not with writing (pretty sure my focus is fked for meds reasons and words are NOT working 90% of the time) but I am getting a bit of a ongoing plot/events down that isn't just "epsilon fixes some things and does human stuff". So yeah, progress.

But yeah, Delta finding out that he and the others weren't copies but fragments on his own? Definitely a new event i'm enjoying.

Say about red vs blue whatever you want but it is fucking comedy gold. The dialog is hilarious, dumb and clever at once and the flow is amazing and the interactions so organic (also the voice acting is A+). And season 6? Reconstructions?

Like, the shift of it. Its still silly and dumb and they are so far from competent but putting agent Washington into the mix is soo good. Like before it was a bunch of bumbling fools trying to deal with whatever dumb shit but really not wanting to and generally making things worse. Now you have wash who is driven and goal oriented and driving the narrative compared to the blood gulch crew who was mostly unwillingly draffed along by the narrative (and now Wash lol).

And the back and forth of the chairmans and the directors letter? The way it gives us crombs and little implication but not really any explanation but as time goes on you can slowly puzzle it all together. The ever growing hostility and intensity of the exchange.  The way it all falls into place at the revelation of the ai. The impact of washs line of “You are the alpha” (and frankly how fucking hilarious churchs reaction was).

The joke about the reds deleting the blues from the database as just something dumb they did that just happened to stop wash from proving church was an ai but actually shaped the story so much. Causing wash to end up in prison because he had nothing to prove his story and argue his case. The fact the unsc couldn’t take epsilon because they didn’t know about caboose. How wash could use that as leverage lately.

And yeah, it does not yet have the same amazing action scenes we get from this one goes to eleven on or anything but damn, the confrontation between wash, the director, the consoler and the meta was still so intense, like goddamit.

The line “And while the law has many penalties for the atrocities we inflict on others, there are no punishments for the terrors that we inflict on ourselves.”? Uff…

And by then, you know, right? But still the absolute gut punch of the seasons final words

Need to share my insanity about the lyrics from Flash because with every twist we learn they seem to align more and more:

"Hmm, I can't believe that you were here I know I can't do it There's no chance to rewrite Our story ended long ago"

^Something happened to separate LG and CXS as kids. The "long ago" always tripped me up re: CXS's death because that happened in the future, not the past, and anyhow, even if three years went by since LG's dive, I wouldn't consider that "long ago". But if it's referring to their childhood, I think this makes a lot more sense.

"Into the story As just an extra You are the reason I live But you don't remember me?"

^Self-explanatory. Misery. But also I am intrigued by the "into the story as just an extra" - was LG meant to be assisting CXS with something? Has CXS always been a target for his powers even as a kid? CXS seems to be at the center of a lot of what's going on; maybe LG was never supposed to be such an important person in his life.

"Flash me, flash me Gotta get the power to rewrite I just wanna deny, I just wanna rewrite, yeah"

^Again, self-explanatory. He wants to change the death node. I think this song was one of the early suggestions that LG dived back to save CXS?

^Okay this makes me insane. The "little lamp": the heroine in Ran Xi Chronicles, the manga series in Yingdu ep 1, used a magic lamp to time travel. LG draws an explicit parallel between himself and her.

^You're just making sure I'm alone, huh? To have CXS forget LG, to isolate him from anyone besides the Photo Studio, to kill CXS and have LG hold the secret and burden of that future all on his own, unable to confide in or talk to anyone about it... doesn't it kind of seem like LG is being intentionally isolated? For what reason?
