I’m rewatching “Zoolander” right now. I swear, if this movie had been made today, I could see Ryan Reynolds being cast as Derek and Chris Hemsworth being cast as Hansel.

“I don’t like being complicated.”
Chris pulled a stool and sat by Gretel. “I don’t find you particularly complicated.”
“I mean…” She sighed. “I almost ran all the way back to London because you mentioned liking me.”
Chris couldn’t hold back a -tiny- smile. “I don’t think those were the words I used.”
She drained the whisky in her glass. “Those were the exact words you used.”
Chris seemed to think about it. “Really? Can’t remember it.”
She turned her head and glared at him.
Chris' face brightened up with a smile. “There she is.”

SAVAGE DRAGON #199
Writer and artist: Erik Larsen Letterer: Rus Wooton Colors: Nikos Koutis Publisher: Image Comics PREVIOUSLY: SAVAGE DRAGON #198 Yes, I’m 5 days late on this, sorry. Anyway, as per the last issue, Malcolm had fallen underground where there lives a subterranean race of beings called Demonoids, which are kinda hard to describe. So here’s a non-spoilery (since there’s no dialog) look at the opening…

shy!reader decides to show up at a frat house party after almost a week of radio silence.
꒰ part one ꒱ — ꒰ part two ꒱— ꒰ part three ꒱
you were telling the truth when you told kitty and nick that you were super busy. the timing of being swamped with classes and assignments, coupled with the betrayal and hurt of being isolated from the frat formal, actually worked in your favour. it provided a much-needed distraction.
your classes kept you somewhat sane. yet, the constant buzzing of your phone from chris became a source of anxiety, which made you eventually decide to put your phone on do not disturb.
you hated doing that to him—it felt hard and unkind—but you needed to focus. each time his name lit up the screen, guilt and frustration washed over you, but you knew you had to prioritise your studies.
it might seem hypocritical to say you had no time for distractions, especially since you still made time to meet up with kitty and nick for lunch. their company was a pleasant break from the weight of your responsibilities.
you even found yourself opening up about chris, wearing your heart on your sleeve as you shared the confusion and frustration you felt — letting them know that you struggle to articulate how difficult it is to figure out your emotions of what's right and wrong, especially since you weren't even officially dating him.
they listened to you patiently, letting you spill your thoughts while they threw in the occasional sarcastic remark about chris, and eventually, they gently nudged you toward the idea of talking to him.
after some hesitation, you agreed. deep down, you knew you had to. you're not a mean person; you don't have a mean bone in your body, and ignoring chris' calls and texts felt like the closest you'd ever come to being unkind. that realisation weighed heavy on you.
however, the thought of facing him made your stomach churn. the idea of seeing chris after having been 'mean' left you on edge, your heart racing at the possibilities. but, you reminded yourself that communication is essential, even when it feels so daunting.
talking to him felt like a long shot, but you were willing to take that leap.
friday afternoon arrives quicker than you initially anticipated, and your palms feel clammy as you walk beside your friend, heading toward the familiar frat house that's already overflowing with students, laughing, and the thumping bass of loud music.
as you approach the entrance, your lips part in surprise when some of the frat brothers notice you — their wide, goofy grins spread across their faces, and they wave at you drunkenly. you smile shyly in response, turning their waves with a small, but kind, gesture before your friend pulls you further into the house.
it doesn't take long for your eyes to land on chris. he's sprawled on the couch, man-spreading, a beer in one hand and a joint in the other. he's glancing up at a guy standing over him holding a wad of cash, and you watch as chris holds the joint between his lips before dipping his hand into his pocket, pulling out a baggie of colourful pills and handing it over in exchange for cash.
"where have y'beeeeen?" a voice jolts you from your thoughts, and you turn just in time to see nate approaching, his arms swinging wide as he embraces you in a drunken hug. his cheek smushes against yours, and you catch a whiff of alcohol and weed on his breath. "i felt like fuckin' hansel 'n gretal leavin' a trail of apples f'you to find your way back, kid."
his words making you giggle, and your friend steps in to help untangle you from nate's affectionate grip, causing him to huff dramatically as he leans into her, his arm wrapping around her waist instead.
"come on," your friend urges, trying to tug nate away from you. "let her go speak to chris."
"good luck... been a fuckin' asshole all week," nate murmurs with a drunken slur, and your smile begins to falter, a wave of unease washing over you. you know all too well that you're likely the reason for chris' mood. as nate stumbles backward, he turns his head, pointing at you with a grin, "m'serious about them apples! they're in the fridge f'you!"
as they move away, the laughter and music fade into the background, and you take a deep breath, preparing yourself for what's about to happen. your stomach swirls and churns with each step, the anticipation and anxiety building as you near chris, who remains unaware of your presence — too absorbed in taking a hit of his joint and counting the crumpled bills in his hand.
just as you're about to stand directly in front of him, his eyes flit up to meet yours. you give him a timid smile, hoping for a sliver of recognition or even warmth, but it falters and falls when he looks away, completely ignoring you.
the sting of his dismissal hits you like a brutal punch to the gut, and suddenly, you feel like you might be sick.
this wasn't how you had planned it in your head. you weren't supposed to be ignored... you were supposed to talk, to find some common ground, and hopefully, to be fine again.
your head is spinning, and your mind is clouded with confusion and hurt. the room starts to close in around you, the drunken students moving like a tidal wave, and you panic, your heart hammering against your chest.
in the midst of your spiralling, you catch sight of matt and kitty sitting on an armchair in the corner of the room, their eyes locked onto you. kitty pushes herself off of matt's lap, and matt follows closely behind, both seeming to make a beeline for you. but before you can even fully process their approach, your arm is suddenly caught in a tight grasp.
you're whisked away upstairs before you can even blink, the world around you blurring as you're pulled away from the chaos. panic surges through you, but gradually, a sense of relief washes over you when you're yanked into a familiar bedroom—chris' bedroom—and shock courses through you as you turn to see that it was him who brought you up here.
"relax," he grumbles, shutting the bedroom door behind you, which partially mutes the music from downstairs. "fuckin' dramatic for no reason."
even with his blunt, harsh words, there's an odd comfort in them, and you hate the realisation of how much you have missed him. the urge to suddenly hug him overwhelms you, but you hold back, wrapping your arms around yourself instead.
"nice of you to finally fuckin' show up," he continues, his gaze piercing as it drills into you, making you chew down on your plush bottom lip. he scoffs, shaking his head. "what? got nothin' to say? just—just gonna come here 'n show your face? all silent 'n shit?"
"i was busy," you respond, grasping at the same words you've been using all week, and the second scoff that escapes him makes you frown.
"right, right... 'cos it uh, didn't seem like you were busy when you were meetin' up with kitty and nick, yeah?"
"they met me for lunch on campus," you explain, your eyebrows furrowing a little. "i was still on campus.."
"what's your problem?" his question catches you off guard, and you blink, momentarily stunned. "like, what is goin' on? two weeks ago, you were fuckin' fine, and now you're ignorin' me? did i do somethin'?"
you take a deep breath, your eyes flitting to the side, searching for the right words before you murmur, "you didn't tell me about the formal."
"oh my god," your gaze snaps back to chris as he takes off his hat, raking his fingers through his tousled hair. a laugh of disbelief escapes his lips. "that—that's what this is about? 'cos... 'cos i didn't tell you about a fraternity formal that you have no interest in?"
you frown softly, "when did i—"
"kid, y'don't even like fuckin' frat parties, what makes you think you'd like a formal?" he huffs, rubbing at his jaw frustratingly. "y'wouldn't have even gone."
"it's the thought that counts," you reply, a bit more defensively than intended. you fidget on the spot, your fingers twisting together nervously as you try to steady your racing heart. "i... i would've liked to have been asked or something."
"yeah? so i could stand there 'n hear you say no?" chris shoots back, rolling his tongue across his teeth. "kid, i knew you would say no. that's why i didn't fuckin' ask — knew you wouldn't like that shit."
"but why didn't you tell me about it in the first place?" you feel the heat rising in your cheeks, that frustration and hurt bubbling to the surface as you swallow thickly. "is it because you was taking her?"
"not everythin' i do needs to be told t'you, kid," chris responds sharply, his tone cutting through the air like a knife. he then pulls a face, "her?"
"cherry." you whisper her name, trying to keep your voice steady despite the tight knot forming in your stomach.
"che—i didn't take cherry," he stares at you incredulously, his brows knitting together. "why the fuck would i take cherry? i went alone, dumbass."
his reaction catches you off guard, and you can't help but push. "but everyone saw you with her? and the photos?"
"yeah, she was there, but i didn't fuckin' take her — she was feignin' for them fuckin' pills, kid," The bluntness of his words strike you hard, and suddenly, embarrassment washes over you. you realise you had jumped to conclusions, just like everyone else, and you look down, biting your tongue as you desperately search for something to say.
silence stretches between you, thick and uncomfortable, and your gaze finds its way back to chris, who is already staring at you as if he's trying to decipher your thoughts. he tilts his head slightly, crossing his arms over his chest, a posture that feels confrontational.
"besides," he begins, his tone shifting to something more matter-of-fact, "shouldn't really matter to you who i go with, right? 'cos we're not datin', kid. we're just sleepin' together, yeah?"
his words hang in the air like a cold reminder, and you nod your head slowly in response.
"do y'wanna stop?" he asks suddenly.
you didn't expect that question, and your heart races. "what?"
"m'givin' you an out, kid.. d'you wanna stop?" his gaze is unwavering, searching your face for an answer, and you can sense the weight of the choice he's placing in front of you.
you think over his question for a moment, and you think hard, weighing the options. ending this arrangement with him would certainly be a lot less complicated, but the thought leaves you hallow.
chris has become the normal for you. he's apart of your routine, a presence that even though frustrates the hell out of you and makes you so confused, he also brings you an odd comfort and excitement. and not only are you experiencing new sexual things with him, you are enjoying the pleasures that come with it too.
"no," you answer softly, "no, not really."
"alright..." chris hums, and you watch as his shoulders seem to relax, his arms uncrossing from his chest at your response. he nods his head, licking his lips to wet them, before he asks, "you stayin' over or you plannin' on bein' busy again?"
your face heats up, your nose scrunching up and your lips forming into a small pout as your murmur. "i was serious about being busy..."
"yeah, okay, bun."

ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ᴇʟᴇᴠᴇɴ : ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴜsᴋ sᴇᴛᴛʟᴇs.
Epiphany had awakened in the backseat of a 1972 Gran Torino. Authentic-almost humorous Mexican music played lowly through the stereo-system. Her eyes felt heavy and she saw everything around her blurry.  They felt as though they were filled with water. Sharp pain shot through her head, causing epiphany to wince in pain. Two familiar voices speaking in Spanish she overheard. No doubt Rio was one of the men speaking. Epiphany said nothing, she did nothing but allow sleep to overcome her.
Later on; the laughter of children, the robust sounds of motorbike engines, men and women cussing in Spanish, the scent of spices and the sweetness of bread flourished through the bedroom Epiphany occupied. The freshness of ripened fruit and the warmth of the air had caused her to awaken from her lengthy slumber. Her heavy lids squinted before she fully opened her eyes. A grumpy huff escaped her lips as she sat up straight. Epiphany hadn’t a clue where she was. She wasn’t even in the same clothing that she once had worn on the plane. She was now dressed in a cotton white ankle-length nightgown.
It clung to her sweaty body as she slipped out of bed and began walking around the large bedroom. “Where the fuck am I?” Epiphany muttered to herself as she walked out to the balcony. She had a tropical rainforest in her backyard. The smell of salt water was fresh in the air. Epiphany was beyond confused.  Taking one last look at the scenery, she walked out the balcony and made her way across the room.
Luckily the door wasn’t locked. Epiphany stood face to face with a single story cabana-style home. It was extreamly cozy with it’s interior. A vibrant orange couch, large dining room table with six chairs across from the kitchen. “Christopher?!” she called out as she walked around the home. “Chris, got damn it where are you?!” she called out once agan as she yanked the front door open.
Looking straight ahead, she could see the clearing of the town. Whatever town it was, She didn’t know but the colors of it were vibrant and oddly enough it had a western feel to it. Feeling tired and weak, Epiphany didn't dare go out and instead went back inside. Sleep overcame her once again as she laid across the sofa.
“Epiphany, epiphany wake up…”
As soon as Epiphany opened her eyes, she came face to face with Nick. The pudgy male had looked quite tan versus when she last saw him, he’d been bloated and pale.  “Where’s Chris at?” she asked as she sat up.
“Working.” Nick sighed. “He’ll be here soon.”
“Figures.” Epiphany spat, rolling her eyes. “And where am I exactly?”
“Yuca, Mexico.” Nick replied.
Epiphany blinked slowly, letting the name roll off her tongue with a mocking twist of her lips. “Yuca, Mexico…” she repeated with exaggerated disbelief, her eyes narrowing. “The hell kind of name is that? Sounds like something you fry in oil.”
Nick stifled a chuckle, scratching the back of his neck. “It’s peaceful here. Safe.”
“Safe?” Epiphany echoed, scoffing as she pulled her damp nightgown away from her thighs. “I wake up in some jungle Barbie dreamhouse, dressed like a ghost from a telenovela, and you’re telling me I’m safe?!” She flopped back against the couch, arms sprawled dramatically across the cushions.
Nick opened his mouth to respond, but Epiphany beat him to it. “And why the hell does it smell like someone deep-fried a carnival in here? You guys got churros? Is that why y’all kidnapped me?” She sat up suddenly, eyes widening with mock realization. “Oh my God—am I being fattened up?! Is this one of those Hansel and Gretel things? I swear to God, Nick, if I find a gingerbread house out there—”
“You’re not being fattened up,” Nick interrupted with a laugh, clearly amused despite himself. “Chris just wanted to make sure you were okay. You passed out for hours on the plane. Something about altitude, blood sugar, and your stubborn ass not eating.”
Epiphany glared at him. “I don’t trust airplane food, and nobody told me we were going on a secret international field trip. My passport’s probably crying in a TSA trash can.”
Nick gave a shrug. “You’re here now. Chris will explain everything when he gets back. Just chill, alright?”
Epiphany huffed, folding her arms like a defiant child. “Fine. But if I find even one gecko in my shoes, I’m setting this whole place on fire.”
Nick raised a brow. “With what? The salt air?”
Epiphany threw a cushion at him.
The air around them crackled—too quiet, too still. Not a bird, not a breath.
Viann’s fingers twitched. Rio’s eyes flicked down—just once—and in that split-second, Viann went for it. His hand flew to his gun, but he wasn’t fast enough.
CRACK.
Rio’s fist collided with Viann’s jaw like thunder, snapping his head sideways. The gun dropped before it could clear the holster, skittering across the dusty street.
Viann stumbled back, spitting blood. “You hit like a jealous ex.”
Rio rolled his neck, calm as a saint. “Nah. I hit like a man who protects what’s his.”
Viann lunged, sloppy. Rio ducked under the wild swing, buried a brutal jab into Viann’s ribs. Another. Then an uppercut that sent Viann reeling against the stucco wall of a nearby building.
Rio moved like water—no wasted steps, each hit deliberate, strategic. The way a boxer fought when he wasn’t just trying to win—he was making a point.
Viann coughed, doubling over. “She was mine…”
“You don’t own people,” Rio growled, grabbing him by the collar and slamming him against the wall. “Especially not her.”
Another punch—straight to the stomach. Viann gasped.
“She came to me. She stayed with me.” Rio’s voice dropped to a whisper, forehead nearly pressed against Viann’s. “You don’t get to hunt her like she’s prey. You don’t get to breathe near her.”
Viann, wheezing, reached for a knife tucked into his boot.
Rio caught it mid-draw, yanked it free, and tossed it behind him without looking. Then he wrapped his hand around Viann’s throat.
“This could’ve been easy,” Rio said, his grip tightening, “but you made it personal.”
Viann clawed at his hand, his feet kicking weakly against the dirt.
“And I don’t let threats walk away.”
There was a finality in his voice—an edge of silence that meant the fight was already over.
Snap.
Viann’s body went limp.
Rio let go, letting him drop into the dirt like discarded trash. For a moment, he just stood there—breathing hard, eyes empty.
Then he wiped his bloody knuckles on Viann’s shirt, turned, and walked away.
He didn’t look back.
Epiphany stirred on the couch, something deep in her chest telling her the air had shifted. She glanced at the open window. A breeze swept through.
Warm.
Safe.
But laced with something darker—something done in her name.
She didn't know it yet, but the man who haunted her past had just been erased by the one who guarded her future.
The sun was brutal in Mexico, its heat crawling over Rio’s skin like an uninvited touch. He didn’t flinch. Not when his fists were already bloodied. Not when his knuckles had split open like cracked pavement after the storm.
Viann's body lay twisted at his feet, dust clouding around them, thick with the scent of sweat, blood, and betrayal. The man had put up a fight—he’d had Epiphany’s name on his lips like a weapon, a taunt. Rio hadn't hesitated. He’d fought like the trained boxer he once was, each jab fueled by fury, every blow a memory of Epiphany’s tears, her voice trembling as she begged him not to go.
He didn’t use a gun. No. He ended Viann with his bare hands.
It was personal.
The heat hadn’t left the air, but something inside Rio had cooled. Snapped clean in half.
He stood over the body for a long while, shoulders rising and falling with each breath. The rage was still there—but hollow now. Like something had been exorcised. He stared at his hands, smeared with crimson, and thought of her. Thought of the way she had looked at him that night in the truck, like he was both her savior and the man who'd set the fire.
He wiped the blood on his shirt, then lit a cigarette with a shaky hand.
"Loose ends," he muttered to himself. "Ain’t so easy to cut when they got a hold on your fuckin’ soul."
A day later, he was back in the city. The familiar hum of traffic couldn’t drown out the silence in his chest. He hadn’t gone straight to her. Couldn't. Not yet.
He lingered outside her building for an hour, hood up, cigarette burning down to ash. Finally, with hands that still remembered the weight of death, he moved toward her door.
This wasn’t survival anymore.
It was love.
And he was done pretending otherwise.
The ocean was whispering in the background, a soft hush of waves brushing the sand like the world was trying to soothe itself.
Epiphany sat on the edge of the bed, her back to him. The room was quiet now, save for the occasional creak of wood beams and the flickering flame from a single lantern that swayed outside the window.
She hadn’t spoken in nearly ten minutes.
And that silence? It was worse than any gun to his head.
Rio stood across the room, leaned against the wall, arms crossed tight over his chest like he was holding himself together. The cabana was small—intimate. There was no place to hide here. No corner to duck into, no shadows to disappear into. Just her. Him. And everything they’d been running from since Paris.
“I ain’t good at this,” he muttered.
Epiphany didn’t move.
“I’m good at threats. At deals. At puttin’ bullets in the right heads.” He let out a low, humorless laugh. “But this shit? You? I don’t got the blueprint.”
She finally looked at him then, over her shoulder. Eyes tired. Raw.
“Then why bring me here?” she asked. Her voice was low, but it cut straight through him. “Why drag me away like I’m something you can just claim—then say nothin’ when I’m breaking in front of you?”
His jaw flexed. He pushed off the wall.
“Because I had to. Because I couldn’t leave you there with him.” He walked toward her slowly. “Viann… he was gonna break you down. And I couldn’t watch that happen, not when I was the one who was the cause of you running to him.”
Her lips trembled. She looked away again.
Rio crouched in front of her, voice softer now. “I thought leavin’ you alone would keep you safe. I told myself if I made you hate me, it’d be easier. But you’re not just some girl I fucked and forgot, Piphy.”
She flinched at the nickname. He hadn't called her that since the night they first broke up.
“I tried to be cold. I tried to turn it off.” His eyes searched hers. “But you got under my skin. You didn’t just get into my head—you took up fuckin’ residence in my chest.”
He reached for her hand, let his fingers rest gently against hers, not holding, just offering.
“I killed him,” he said, voice low and hoarse. “Viann. With my hands. For what he did. For what he almost did. And most of all…I killed him because I love you too much to give you away to someone else.”
Epiphany blinked hard. A tear slid down, but she didn’t wipe it.
“He’s gone now,” Rio whispered. “But you’re still lookin’ at me like I’m the villain.”
She finally turned fully toward him, eyes wet but sharp. “Because you were. You left me. You shattered me. And now you want to act like this was always about love?”
“No,” he said quietly. “I wanna act like I finally see it was.”
He pulled her hand into his, kissed her knuckles like they were sacred. “I never stopped loving you, Piph. I just thought love was somethin’ I couldn’t afford.”
A silence settled between them, but it wasn’t empty anymore. It was heavy. Honest.
And when she leaned forward, pressing her forehead to his, he didn’t breathe.
She whispered, “Then say it.”
And Rio, did just that,” I love you, Epiphany. I love you today, I love you tomorrow, and I’ll love you in this life and beyond it.”

Simon Riley x Bimbo!reader
This is a Simon Riley introduction to my page. The reader is described as black but anyone can read. This took a minute to post because I had work and I didn't know a good situation. But anywayyys...Enjoy! Outfit inspo!!!
Tumblr media
"He had the nerve to tell me that I need to get a grip on life," I speak into the phone. My friend Sasha snorts on the line. I roll my eyes a little bit at the sound of her laugh. I'm trying to tell this girl my problems and she playing. I stop and look at an outfit displayed in the window on a mannequin.
"Girl you need to kick this man to the curb. Hang up on you...not in the mood.," She mimics that TikTok sound. I laugh out loud at that as the jean two-piece rings around my mind. There are endless possibilities for outfits that can come out of this. The gold belt really pulls the outfit together. I smile brightly as a decision is made up in my mind. I get ready to text the man-child that is my boyfriend.
"Shit," Is all I here before I run into a goddamn big ass stone wall. My phone falls out of my hand and I try to catch myself. Big rough hands grip my waist and firmly pull me to them then my phone does one 'fuck you' bounce on the floor to me. I shriek when I look up and see a black face mask close to my face. Not expect him to be leaning down on me.
I can swear by the way his way eyes move, there must be a smirk on his face. I quickly get out of his grasp and move to get my phone. "Jumpy little thing," His British accent catches me off guard. I look him up and down, his 6'0+ self with muscles in places I didn't even know could have muscles. His deliciously thick arms that I would let wrap around me any day. "You're British," I state turning my head up to look him in the face.
He stares blankly for a second, "Am I?" I nod to his question and look at him funny.
"Your accent? Did you forget you have one," I question him and lean my weight on my hip and cross my arms. His mask protrudes a little so I assume he's licking his lips. I have no proof but, by the way his eyes flash what seems to be lust for a split second. Maybe he's a murder and he checking to see if I'm a good victim. I scare myself slightly.
His deep scratchy voice blesses my ears again," What's going on in that little head of yers?"
I finick a French curl braid between my fingers and sway my body a little," I'm trying to figure out what they fed you overseas. I've never seen any Brits look like you," I pause," Kinda like... Hansel on steroids."
He raises a brow at me before turning his expression neutral again. This man radiates that he's emotionally constipated. Lowkey kinda my type apparently since I'm still with Chris. That fucking asshole! The audacity, the courage, the-
He pushes the braid behind my ear and I turn shy. A smile creeps onto my face and I hope it doesn't have fuck me written on them. Ugh! Why Do I feel like this man can see right through me? His eyes...they feel different, something I can't quite place my finger on. But I'm not even sure I want to find out.
"Do yuh think of shit like tha all the time," what appears to be amusement in his tone," I'm Simon."
I place a hand on my chest," I'm Y/n."
"I can take yuh out this Saturday," He interrupts my thoughts. His tone is a matter of faculty. I clear my throat as I take in his words. I'm not shallow but this looks like a ain't shit ni-. Damn, this sucks to do but...
"I have a boyfr-" I try to get out but he quickly shuts that down.
"Dont remember askin'. But 'ell you can bring yer, little boyfriend if yuh want, makes no difference to me," he takes his phone out. Which by god I pity. It looks like it doesn't know what brighter days are. The cracks look like they should be slicing his fingers. But as he slides open his lock screen, he looks back at me.
I bite my lip as girly giggles come out and I give out my number," Don't forget to text me the details." What the hell am I doing? I'm not single so why the fuck am I giving my number out. This feels bad- no wrong but I also can't deny the butterflies in my stomach. I really hope for both of our sake he's not a criminal or something.
I bid him goodbye as I walked deeper into the mall. "Hel- motherfucking- lo? Can you hear me hoe," Sasha's muffled voice comes through.
I quickly pull the phone to my ear," Sash? You still here?" She huffs out loudly and I giggle. This is literally my bitch because who else would stay on the phone. "Why didn't you hang up?"
"WELLL I heard a loud ass crack noise and I guess when you picked the phone up, I heard this clear deep...raspy...sexy-" I cut her off.
"Stand up! You don't even know what this man looks like," I say in replacement of whatever she was going to say. She laughs exaggeratedly and annoyingly.
"WHAT I DO KNOW IS YOU BETTA GO ON THAT DATE! FUCK WANNABE ASS CHRISTOPHER," she yells and I hang up the phone.
I'm not finna let her wild ass keep yelling in my ear. She's literally crazy but I guess that's why are friends. My name and sane have never been in the same sentence before.
I continue to shop but with new energy, some would say a slight pep in my step. A new mission added to my list.
-Get a date night outfit.
Tumblr media
A little short but thats because I wanted to work on part two and this other thing I'm creating.. I will have a nice little surprise, some would say chaotic. Also let me know if this was bimbo enough or not

The Hellfire Exotic Club Part 5
Hello! I'm really love the response to this story. Thank you everyone who commented or tagged.
In this part we get to meet Ellie their costume designer, and Steve proves why he's there.
Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3 Pt 4
~
Steve was doing his warm ups when Chrissy came up to him.
“Hey,” she said. “We finally got our costume designer in at the same time as you. So you need to go to the dressing room and get measured.”
He nodded and went back to the dressing room. It was a long room packed with vanities, costumes, and props. It was where everyone got dressed. Man and woman alike. Eddie’s club was making good money, but it was just easier to just have everyone in the same room. Plus, it wasn’t like everyone hadn’t seen everyone else’s bits. After all, nakedness was part of the job.
The only one who had his own dressing room was Eddie. And that was because it doubled as his office. It had all his costumes, his guitars, but also his desk and filing cabinets. It had a long green, leather sofa two big fluffy armchairs across from his desk chair.
Standing at the end of the of the room in front of the rows and rows of clothing racks where all the costumes were kept was a woman in her early twenties with curly, brown hair and slim figure. Her back was to him so he couldn’t see her face. But he liked her style. It was funky and eclectic and Steve instantly loved it.
“Hey,” he called out gently. “I’m here to measured and hopefully not be found wanting.”
She turned around with a giggle. “And would you be William or Count Adhemar in this situation?”
Steve laughed. “My hope is to always be the hero, especially in my own story. And do I call you Kate or something else?”
“Ellie will do just fine,” she said with a smile. “So you’re the new Envy. You aren’t what I was expecting, if I’m honest.”
“No?” he said as he finished walking the rest of the way to her. “I’m not sure what you were told about me, so...”
Again Ellie giggled. “Well judging from the way Eddie and Chrissy talk about you I was expecting someone taller at the very least. You are conventionally attractive, but I guess I was thinking more Chris Hemsworth then Chris Pine, if I’m honest.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment then,” he said. “Personally I prefer Pine over all the other Chrises. He’s got a ‘fuck you I do what I want’ style I like.”
“Me too,” she said with a soft knowing smile. “So let’s get those measurements and then afterwards we can talk about what you want out of your costumes. I understand you and Chrissy are going to be Hansel and Gretel for the Fairy Tale Night, is that right?”
Steve nodded. “I think that Eddie just wants to see me in lederhosen.” He paused for a second. “My best friend, Robin, too, now that I think about it.”
She laughed out loud for the first time and Steve decided she should laugh more. It was cute. “Well, aren’t they going to be disappointed. It’s meant to be sexy, not ridiculous.”
He smiled back at her. Yeah, they were going to along just fine. Ellie went through measuring him, quickly and efficiently. Steve was impressed by her professionalism and she was impressed by his ability to take direction and to hold still when told.
Once they were done Ellie sat him down and she pulled out a sketch book. She showed him the designs for the Hansel outfit. It had a lot of layers so that as they went through the forest more clothes would come off. Lamia would be the witch and Eddie’s Lucifer would rescue them. It was all very hot and Steve couldn’t wait to preform it.
“I love it,” he told Ellie. “Can we make the costumes brown on the outside and get lighter and lighter until the bottom layer is white?”
Ellie tapped her pencil to her lips. “What if we started off with black and worked our way through grey to white?”
Steve resisted the urge to sigh. It was Eddie wish to be everything black or red for their costumes and it looked the costume designer felt the same. “How about red?”
Ellie’s eyes lit up. “That could work!” And she pulled out her colored pencils and got to work coloring the different layers. Once she was done, she looked up at him and he grinned back.
“Perfect,” he said. “Now let me tell you what I’m going to need from my costume and you can help me figure out what it should look like.”
She nodded and listened to his wants and needs, jotting down notes and sketching out ideas as he talked.
“I might not take it all off every time,” Steve admitted, scratching his cheek nervously. “But I want the option there if at all possible.”
Ellie did a couple more sketches and showed them to him. He took the sketch book from her as he examined the different designs. He pointed to the one on the left. “Add some of the flare from the second one and I think you’ve got it.”
She added the flourishes from the one costume to the other and then showed Steve. He nodded.
“All right,” she said standing up, “I’ll be by in a couple of weeks with your costume for a fitting and see if there’s any tweaks to finalize. I’ve also taken your current costume and will have it sent over on Sunday so that you are able to dance easier.”
He let out a sigh of relief. “That would be fantastic. I’ll be glad to be able to do my job without sacrificing a gallon of blood every night.”
Steve walked her out and said goodbye. Then he got back to warm ups and practice. He was about done with his first solo routine when one of the dancers came up to him.
“Why are you so special that Ellie came to you?” the young man bit out. “Everyone else had to go to her shop to get measured.”
Steve looked up at him with a frown. “You’re Leviathan, right?” The guy nodded. “I’m busy during the day and on my nights off. And when I was free, she was busy. She offered to come to me during practice, man, I don’t know what you want me to tell you.”
“Why you’re getting such preferential treatment?” Levi huffed. “Boss wouldn’t let us backup dancers even try out for Envy even though we should have been given the chance first. We’ve been here longer and deserve a crack at making real money. But no... you come in here with your stupid little heaven song and your stupid little angel dances and now you’re getting Ellie to come to you? It’s bullshit!”
Steve just put his hands up in the air. “You’re acting like I’m some evil mastermind designed to fuck up your life, but the truth is it sounds life your beef is with Eddie not me. I’m not the one who set up tryouts. I’m not the one that called Ellie to come get my measurements. I’m not the one that suggested the angel theme, all I did was pick a song that would get me noticed. Eddie is the one who did all those things. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to warm up.”
Levi snarled and turned on his heel, stomping away. Or as much stomping as one could when you’d spent your life learning to land as softly as possible.
Steve rolled his shoulders. He was used to people blaming him because he was rich and popular and good looking and could fucking dance. They couldn’t get over the fact that he had these natural talents; things he was born with that he didn’t chose. But it was always his fault anyway.
Chrissy came back from wherever she had gone during his session with Ellie, with a big smile. “You ready to back into this?” she asked cheerfully.
“Ready when you are!”
~
To say Eddie was pissed would be an understatement. He had just gotten off the phone with some Bible thumping street preacher demanding that they shutter their doors and repent to come to God.
When Eddie told him that he didn’t believe in God and even if he had, he’d rather go to Hell, the preacher started screaming obscenities about how he was going to expose the club for what it was, a den of iniquity and was going to get it closed down.
Then Stella came in and was up his ass about the angel dances again. He told her that when she brought in as much money as Steve and Chrissy did during those dances then he would listen to her.
“Mark my words, Eddie,” Stella hissed. “He’s going to be the ruin of the club and when it all comes crashing down, I’m going to still be here so I can tell you to your face, ‘I told you so’.”
Then she stormed out. Eddie followed her because he honestly thought she would start going on a rampage in the dressing room, tearing shit up.
Which meant he got a front row seat to Levi trying bully Steve. Not that it worked, Steve returned better than he got, but it was the fact that one of his people had tried. It wasn’t the first time Eddie heard the rumblings from the backup dancers about not getting a chance to audition for Envy and it probably wouldn’t the last. But he wasn’t going to let someone bully someone he had handpicked.
He walked up to the stage whistled long and loud. Steve was the last to stop and look at him, finishing the turn he was doing. He blushed when he realized everyone was waiting for him.
“Sorry,” he mumbled.
“Don’t worry about it,” Eddie said. “I get wanting to complete a spin instead of abruptly stopping and risking a fall.”
Steve nodded, still feeling the heat of embarrassment on the back of his neck after the sting of Levi’s words still rang in his head.
“I’ve been getting and hearing a lot of complaints about how I run things lately,” Eddie began.
The assembled dancers began to shift uncomfortably. “Especially from the backup dancers about the auditions to replace Envy. You all think you’re better than Stevie here,” he continued. “So put your money where your mouth is. All eight of you will dance Billy’s version of the tease. And you don’t want to, you know where the fucking door is. Don’t let it hit you on the way out.”
There was a gasp and then deadly silence. “If any of you are as good as he is, I’ll concede the point and we’ll discuss the details after. But here’s the thing, my little demons. You aren’t as good as he is. He learned his dance in three days.”
There were some sharp grumbling at that but a single glare from Eddie silenced them again.
“Jeff, Brian, and Gareth will be the judges because clearly you don’t trust me and Chrissy’s judgment. They will score you on hitting all the moves. On style. And finally on how sexy it was. Then after you’ve all danced and I’m proven right, you’ll have two options,” he bit out, holding up two fingers. “Shut up and dance. Or get the fuck out of my club. Because I think you assholes forgot who’s name is on the deed. Not you. Not Wayne. Not anyone but me.”
The rest of the demons glared at the two main culprits: Levi and Danny. Levi sneered and Danny was nonplussed.
“Come on, Leviathan,” Eddie snarled back. “You think you’re such a big shot. Go on, prove it.”
Levi got into position to dance.
Chrissy hurried over to the music and turned on “Devil Inside”. Steve didn’t want to toot his own horn, but he could see why Billy was only as good as the pole he was dancing on. It was loud and outrageous but no technique or style. It was all sex and no substance.
When he was done Eddie called out all the other dancers. Choronzon, Belial, Beelzebub, Astraroth, Stolas, Mephistopheles, and then finally Dagon. Danny was a good dancer, particularly on the pole. But again, there was no style or substance to the tease.
When her dance ended, Steve raised his hand. “Can I try?”
All heads snapped his direction.
“What now?” Cheryl asked. “You dance it every Sunday.”
Steve shook his head. “What you guys just danced is not what I do on Sundays. Chrissy modified it on the fly because I’m not built the way Billy was.”
There was some murmuring but Chrissy confirmed he doesn’t do Billy’s dance. Parts of it, yes. But there was no way Steve could dance it well enough in time.
“But you just watched it,” Stella said. “There is no way you can do replicate that!”
Steve shrugged. “I watched it eight times. It has a lot of beats of what I do, but in a slightly different order. I should get a chance to do it. It’s my reputation on the line, isn’t it?”
No one could refute that so Steve got into position and everyone’s jaw dropped. Including Eddie and Chrissy. Steve started his dance on stool but Billy started front and center. And that’s where he stood.
Scott smirked as the music started. It was Chrissy and him who helped Steve nail it down in three days.
The difference was staggering. Eddie’s jaw remained on the floor for the duration of of the tease. As did almost everyone else’s. Only Stella and Scott were unmoved. Scott because he knew how good Steve was and Stella because she was being forced to eat crow.
The song ended and the room erupted in cheers and whistles. Steve lifted his head and winked.
Jeff threw his notes in the air behind him. “I don’t fucking need these. Steve’s was sexier, smoother, and nearly technically perfect.”
Gareth crossed his arms over his chest. “I agree. All of the backup dancers did the routine. But none of them were Envy.”
“I’m asexual and even I could tell Steve’s was sexier,” Brian said. “And it’s because he connected to his audience. Me, Gare, and Jeff. He played to us not at us.”
Eddie raised his arm to the stage. “Satan everyone!” He jutted his thumb behind him. “Take it or leave it!”
No one moved an inch. “Then shut up and dance!” He turned on his heel and stormed back to his office.
Chrissy clapped her hands. “All righty! Everyone back on the starting line!”
Everyone scrambled to get back into position. Chrissy and Scott shared a smirk as Levi and Danny stood a little straighter.
Point well and truly made.

Plotting out Disney's future: the Resurgence Era
Tumblr media
I had so much fun reimagining the renaissance era to now, so I thought I'd imagine Disney's future era--but I'm skipping the sequels for now; I'll probably add them to my revival era post (if I keep using Tumblr through the years). This post is unique however, since this isn't me placing it within my reimagining AU; this post is based on the real-life success (or lack thereof) of the Revival era. I chose this name because I feel like Disney realizes they haven't been pushing themselves as much with their stories recently, and they want to appeal to a fanbase whose been adoring their classic stories while still wanting to explore new subjects. I'm not gonna do the whole "they were successful" or anything; this is mainly just ideas. Just to note: I imagine pretty much all of these as musicals, even if that's not super realistic given Disney's release style. And please forgive me if my ideas don't vibe with the culture I wanted them to represent.
Tumblr media
Yaksha--Deciding to reinvest in fairy tales, Disney opts to revive "Gigantic," a take on "Jack and the Beanstalk." However, given that their last two musicals have explored Spanish themes ("Encanto" being Colombia and "Wish" being set in a Mediterranean country influenced by Spain), the idea that "Gigantic" is set in Spain is eventually abandoned. When Fawn Veerasuthorn is brought on as director, she suggests a Thai take on the story, with stories like "Sang Thong" and "The Twelve Sisters" as inspiration. The story follows a young man named Chaison (technically Chai Son) was raised by giants in his childhood. However, when some giants wish to conquer the land below (having been banished long ago), Chaison must play peacemaker in order to prevent a war. To better showcase the culture, Disney opts for a 2D approach, though they haven't gotten entirely back into the groove of using it. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Sweet Heart--Disney decides to try again with the director/screenwriting team of Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, as well as having Stephen Schwartz make the music to give it a renaissance feel. In it, the protagonists are fraternal twins, young adults whose designs are said to have been influenced by concept art from "Frozen" and "Tangled," with open admissions of the film's vibe being inspired by Disney Channel's "Gravity Falls." It's possible the names of the leads would be changed, but let's pretend we keep them the same here. Hansel would be the younger twin, much more optimistic and a bit naive, while Gretel is more practical, reeling from the loss of their mother and resentful towards their stepmother for wanting them dead. The witch would be very much inspired by Lady Dimitrescu, the Other Mother, and Winifred Sanderson, making for a scheming, unhinged, and occasionally funny villain. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Midnight Masquerade--Given the success of a 12-member family of "Encanto," the fairy tale of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" is the next focus for Disney, directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. Originally thought to be adapted as-is, focusing on 12 sisters and an older (40s) solider, but eventually a mixture of executive and audience feedback led to certain script changes. The number of sisters is instead reduced to 6 to better focuses on the sisters as well as having more characters outside of the sisters, and the soldier is written as a young prince in his 20s (he's characterized as a bit cheeky and playful, but wise and somewhat neutral; he doesn't rat on the princess' magical world, and instead enjoys himself while he's there). The story focuses on the young man who is asked by the king to find out where his daughters go every night, and follows them to a magical land fraught with beauty and danger (pretty much the main concept of the story, more or less). The young man's dark hair and his love interest's red hair (inspired by Daphne Blake, specifically her portrayal by Sarah Michelle Gellar) could liken to a modern version of Ariel and Eric. For better or worse, for some reason I imagine Disney going for a radio-pop sound like "Encanto" and "Wish"--though I hope it's executed better than the latter. And for another weird reason, I imagine this film being set in France--albeit in a similarly vague way as "Beauty and the Beast." Needless to say, the title of the film is tied into the Disney doll line of the same name. Check out the full idea here.
(Not 100% sure if the art here is AI; just thought it was really pretty and wanted to use it as a visual aid)
Tumblr media
Weaver--Originally planned with a male protagonist, Disney opted to make the protagonist female in order to cultivate a similar response to "Moana." Similar to how the latter film was influenced by Fiji, Samoa, and Tahiti, this film takes influence from Guam, Kiribati, and Palau. The focus is on a young woman who ventures on a great adventure to find the spider of creation (inspired by the Kiribatu god Nareau) after a malevolent force begins to unravel the world. As you can see, the plot itself was inspired by "Moana," with execs guiding it that way for profitability. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Khoeli--Inspired by "The Boy with a Moon on His Chest," the story revolves around a young man named Khoeli, who ventures to find his birth father, a king who supposedly abandoned him as a child. Though on his journey, he must contend with obstacles that his wicked stepmother has put in his path to prevent their reunion. I could imagine music by Donald Glover and Kendrick Lamar, though concern about it sounding too urban instead of traditional might be a concern (I'm imagining a high fantasy setting, but perhaps it could be somewhat modern, taking cues from "Black Panther"). While billed as a Southern African-influenced story, the music and visuals do have panafrican elements, and Disney markets it as their modern "Hercules." I also like the idea that Khoeli's moons (a full moon on his chest, and crescents on both his shoulders) are the product of vitiligo; feels like it could be great rep for people if done well. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Crest--Based on the fairy tale of "Catskin," the story is about a young Native American woman with a cloak made of a giant Stellar's Jay. Given that Stellar's Jay is native to western North America, I imagine the tribe that our protagonist (who I'll call Ayamis) is from comes from that area, but this is still set in a fantasy setting, allowing for more flexibility when designing the culture. The giant cloak was given to her by her mother, who promised that it would help her in times of emergency by transforming her into whatever form was necessary at the time. Usually this just turns her into a normal-sized Stellar's Jay, and eventually she ventures to a new land after dreaming of protecting a white fox. Though this seems to be Letaiyo, the albino son of the local (Hopi) chief, who she falls in love after being appointed his spiritual protector. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Verdant--Inspired by "Gawain and the Green Knight," a young boy who fails to defeat the king of Spring is taken in and raised by him in order to learn the rules of chivalry, honesty and kindness, the things that make a true and honorable knight. It's a journey of self-discovery, of duality and different perceptions of morality and that there may not be such a true universal take on "right" and "wrong." The film draws on influences from Tomm Moore films, as well as having a bit of a classic Disney charm--gold to bronze era-charm, not renaissance charm (though that could also work). Check out the full idea here.
(Art by FaQy on deviantart)
Tumblr media
Rainstar--Influenced by the superhero craze, this film would focus on a female superhero with super strength and durability (generic powers, but it's the character who makes the powers, not vice versa), influenced by bubbly superheroines such as She-Hulk and Rogue. In the futuristic city (imagine a cross between Republic City and Gotham), she defends the town from outside threats, but recently she's been the target of a superhuman scientist (influenced by Mister Sinister as well as anime characters such as Fu and Deku) who wants to find out the origins of her powers, whether she likes it or not. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Kitsune--Let's assume Hayao Miyazaki is still alive and he's able to reach a compromise between maintaining a Disney vibe while allowing him significant creative control of the film he's directing. I don't know his style well enough to say whether this would be in his wheelhouse, but I'm thinking of a story about a man who ventures who find his missing wife after she is taken by mysterious fox-masked beings, using the fireflies to guide him on his journey. It could also include elements of the Japanese tale of Shippeitaro. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Charlie Bone--Based on an amazing (and underrated) series about a boy who discovers he can travel through pictures and goes to school with kids of other unique abilities, I'd love to see this adapted by Disney. I don't know if they'd want to age him up (he starts off as 11, so it almost gives off Harry Potter vibes) and whether or not they'd want to just adapt the first book, but in my own opinion, I feel like they could make a film that encapsulates the entire work, if they wanted, including details like discovering what happened to Charlie's father, Billy's terrible adoption, Emma's brainwashing, etc. Though I do think that the book series kinda buried the lead with the Red King (who ended up having a prequel series) as well as waiting a few books before we got to the REAL big bad. There's a lot to unpack, but I think they could condense it. Check out the full idea here.
Tumblr media
Kingdom Hearts--Kind of. The lore itself is too big for one film, but let's say Disney wanted a better anniversary film than "Wish" and was able to work out a deal with Square Enix, but only enough to use KH-original characters, not Final Fantasy characters. However, the directors decide that they don't want it to feel too gimmick-y, so they lean into original story elements with Disney motifs and references, with the story of Sora exploring different worlds being reinvented as the protagonist exploring his country in order to find his friends. While a bit of a downer, a plus side is that there's more focus on Anselm and his goals. And I'd be perfectly fine if they needed to get separate actors to do the singing (I want the OG speaking voices to return so bad!) Check out the full idea here.
Lemme know what you think! I'll probably come back to edit the details later, but lemme ask: would you watch these Disney musicals?

I have a question about Luna, what would her reaction to meeting Hash and Hansel be?
Oh that's a funny story (also thanks for reminding me about that novel, I haven't thought about it in ages 💀)
She does actually meet Hans-el at some point! I just about got to writing that scene, thankfully.
Here you go:
“Oh, I'm sorry,” I began, trying to navigate my way around the tiny man and his cluttered shop. Something about his mind had me uneasy. It seemed almost…. Smug, somehow. Like it knew me better than myself. “I was just looking for my friends. Have you seen a spirit who looks a lot like you, and a creepy strong human girl?” The spirit tilted his head to a side, a mannerism that reminded me a great deal of Chris. The smile he gave me while he shut the door behind him did nothing to assuage my paranoia. “This is a big city, Miss. You will never find little Merida or Kristavla like that. Do better, Miss Delacroix.” My stomach dropped. “You know my name. Our names,” I said warily. “An astute observation,” the spirit replied, grinning. His teeth were sharp as needles. “Those teeth can't be natural,” I said, the words slipping out before I could stop them. “They are not!” The spirit laughed.
All of Luna's danger alarms go off when she meets him. Hans thinks she's hilarious.
I feel like she and Hash would vibe, though she's naturally distrustful of anything older or stronger than her. Hash, on the other hand, would probably secretly think she's a bit of a bitch. Normal people relationships. I feel like they might even fake date a bit, just for shits and giggles.
Congrats on reminding me of the shit I haven't touched in a year, wyked! I'm gonna see if I can work on it again now :)

"Faerie Tale Theatre" Posthumous Reunion: The Stars' Final Resting Places
Some people might think I'm obsessed with death. A minor hobby of mine is to research celebrities' final resting places, via the website Find a Grave and the YouTube channel Hollywood Graveyard. And I like perusing themed guides to famous graves. For example, Hollywood Graveyard's videos themed to Christmas, Halloween, the cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz, cast and crew members of The Twilight Zone, etc., or Find A Grave's "Posthumous Reunion" pages for famous movie and TV show casts, sports teams, etc.
I decided to create a similar guide for the cast of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. Sadly, all too many stars of that cult classic series are no longer with us. Here's a guide (with links to Find a Grave pages) to the various places where those stars are buried, in case anyone here might like to visit a few someday.
