OKAY! So far, there’s been creatures, possibly a god or demon and a curse/illness affecting the critters. We don’t know how these things got here or why they’re here, but I believe that could be answered within the future oneshots! Here’s my notes so far.

The pink/magenta curse: It can take a liquid form, it’s unknown if it can turn into a gas or a solid, but it can take the form of a hand. It causes a critter to be scared and isolate themselves in their homes to the point of shaking and rocking back and forth. It’s unknown where this curse came from and who first came into contact with it. A critter who doesn’t have the curse who tries to help the victim will be teleported away from them. Aura is a possible location/first victim of the pink/magenta curse. The pink/magenta curse could have the ability to turn its victim into a beast without them knowing. (Unconfirmed)

The pink/magenta curse’s first appearance: Act 1: What Do You Mean?!

Creatures: A green winged figure (Act 1: Could You Rule The Sky One More Time), A black and white elephant child (Act 1: The Scholar’s Noose), A shadowy beast figure(Act 1: The Scholar’s Noose), A small & big beast with a belt that has needles and different limbs [Clay Paclayderm] (Act 2: Why Isn’t It Perfect?!)

The use of Italian is smart, but why Italian of all languages? Is there going to be an Italian character/creature/organization soon? The only Italian character here is Parker, he is a possible candidate for the weird voices in the Иᴉმμϝwɑ𐑊ԍ Oneshot until more Italian characters pop up.

Who’s J.J? (Possible hint of time travel?) J.J could be Jackie Journeyer. What do the symbols mean? The circle looks like the blog’s pfp (more specifically, the two pink sides), perhaps there’s another blog?

Thoughts on the Morse Code: Either I translated it wrong or Aura is a character/creature/organization that will be appearing soon. Aura is repeated several times but why? What importance does Aura have? Is it the origins of the pink/magenta curse? Perhaps Aura was the first victim of the pink/magenta curse? Aura is a song that holds a connection with Catcaper and the note.

Clay knows the shapeshifting beast and calls it a ‘him’. This beast could’ve been a character that we haven’t seen yet and maybe we’ll see this beast again in a future Oneshot.

THE CREATURE IN WHY ISN’T IT PERFECT IS CLAY. (CONFIRMED)

The note calls Clay caught and tamed, HeroHen is so unexplained, Laddie formed a semblance filled with energy, Catcaper has secrets taken to the grave, Sweetie has failed, Peggizest’s love prevails, Snoozysow is a tradition that’s been unveiled, and Cody repainted in the secrets clashed.

Clay hasn’t been caught for he still roams around freely, but he does act tamed, perhaps he’s been mentally caught instead?

What secrets are Catcaper and Cody hiding? I can understand Catcaper having some secrets, but Cody? How can Cody, the foodie of the group, have secrets? Is the secret hidden in her cooking?

What is the unveiled tradition that Snoozysow has, does it have something to do with her sleepy tea recipe?

What did Sweetie fail?

How does Peggizest’s love prevail? She’s not the emotional one of the group, that doesn’t make sense unless she either A. Has a crush on one of the missing critters (highly unlikely) or B. Loves her friends too much to fail.

What is the semblance that Laddie has created? What power does it possess? Will it stop or cure the pink/magenta curse? How was she able to create a semblance from energy?

HeroHen, despite being the leader, is unexplainable for an unknown reason. Is it because of his superhero persona? Who knows!

Catcaper’s secret and the note is hidden within a song. Aura is a song that has exactly what the note speaks of. Perhaps Caper made a deal with whoever made the note in order to solve the town’s mystery, but someone didn’t hold up their end of the bargain and Caper failed to solve the mystery that year. That could be why he doesn’t remember who made the note!

Random Switcheroo Critters AU fun facts!

For fun!

Laddie has an interest in meteorology (the study of weather.)

CatCaper loves steam trains, mostly because they make a great setting for ✨mysteries!✨

The town where the Switcheroo Critters live is called Pivot Plains (please somebody get where the pun comes from please)

PeggiZest’s favorite sport is Baseball/Softball. She’s in the town’s softball team, the Pivot Plains Hurricanes!

Pivot Plains has a celebration in town square every November 15th, for the birthday of the one who founded it many years ago. It should be a cause for excitement, but most people in Pivot Plains actually dread that day, because something weird always happens during the celebration, and everything usually descends into chaos. Caper has tried to figure out why, to no avail. Maybe next year?

HeroHen loves to collect comics! His favorite comics are superhero ones (obviously), and comics based on tv shows.

SnoozySow can’t handle spicy food at all. She keeps trying though, thinking “I can totally handle it this time!” She can’t.

Clay’s favorite movie is Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He could infodump for hours about how impressive the animation and effects are, and how it still holds up today, and you get the gist. It’s his go to choice when the critters are having a movie night.

Cody has an absurd sweet tooth. Her favorite food is chocolate covered strawberries, and she would live off baked goods if she could. Good thing she has people to remind her that she cannot do that.

SweetiePup has tried to learn to bake from Cody, but it… hasn’t gone well so far. He loves to help Cody bake anyways, just as long as she does the hard stuff (as in, anything involving an oven.)

I am not entirely unconvinced that Catcaper has a list of his friends on how likely they are to try to hurt him.

He’s a little suspicious of everyone, because in his words, “A proper detective never lets their guard down.”

He’s definitely extra suspicious of Snoozy when they first meet because of the creepy child aura that she gives off sometimes, not to mention her mysterious tea

“Where does someone even get tea that instantly makes you fall asleep, anyways? It’s suspicious, I tell you!”

“You’re overthinking it, Caper.”

“Or maybe you’re under-thinking it.”

He’s also endlessly confused by SweetiePup and his peculiar pupil shape(s).

“Come on, you can’t tell me it’s not a little strange! Nobody’s eyes are supposed to look like that! At least not all the time!”

(Technically any of the critters can have wacky pupil shapes if their emotions are strong enough, but SweetiePup is an anomaly in that his eyes are like that almost constantly, and for emotions that wouldn’t normally prompt such.)
