You all really seem to like it when I draw the cats from that musical, which is great, because I really like drawing them! Here's the Rum Tum Tugger himself, since I've already drawn Misto.

13th Hour

This one truly took so long to paint ;_; I've always loved paintings with lots of tiny hidden details but couldn't work on those very often because of my hand injury. But I decided to really indulge this time. Most of my paintings take 1-3 recording sessions but this one took 10 ahahaha

The character is Dante, a painter from my work in progress novel about artists titled 1000 Words Unframed. He's an eccentric one and likes to paint trompe l'oeil, aka illusions. Here he's painting a bunch of clocks onto his wall, but none of the clocks are accurate, some having 13 hours, one clock is a spiral, another is made of eyeballs lol. He is also a lover of cats, hence all the cat portraits and kitties hanging out. Here are some close ups of all the details!

Soooooooo - quick question on your drawing that I am confused on - when did Superman and Batman officially meet? And did they have their Superman and Batman powers or were they just Bruce and Wayne?

Teehee I’m so glad you asked!

So, at the point of their meeting, Superman has been around for only a few months, maybe a year? Batman’s been doing his thing for a few years now, they’re both late-ish 20s.

Dick has been Batman’s ward for a year and a bit - he loves watching superman in the news :))) so Bruce goes to Metropolis to check him out for himself.

Meanwhile, Clark has written a few pieces on the Wayne Enterprises (Bruce has recently renovated and reopened his father’s orphanage (that’s how he met Dick)) and is interested in the recent business moves. He’s interviewed him a few times - Bruce, for some reason, finds him slightly more tolerable than most reporters.

So, technically, both!

So the Skimbleshanks post was a big hit in a way I wasn’t expecting haha. I wanted to draw more Jellicle Cats and post them as a big group but a)no time, b)no energy, and c)the stylus I use for digital art is currently broken 🫠

Anya steps out of a "Polle-Mart" carrying a pack of cigarettes, and walks past Jimmy leaning against the side of the building, half in shadow.

Jimmy, smirking: A nurse with a smoking habit, huh? What has the world come to? They stare at each other for a moment. Anya: Just means I can make a more informed choice.

She goes to light a cigarette as Jimmy flicks his hand at her, asking for one. Curly jogs up behind her.

Anya, grabbing another cigarette: Ugh. Curly: Hey, guys! Mind if I bum one? I'll buy you some snacks?

He gives her big shiny puppy eyes. Anya glances in Jimmy's direction as he stares at her before she smiles at Curly, a halo over her head.

Anya: Sure, Captain! That's so sweet of you to offer. Jimmy glares at Curly. He looks at him before turning to Anya again. Curly: Er, can I make that two for two? Anya: Deal.

She passes him the pack as she lights her cigarette before lighting his for him. Curly goes over to Jimmy, handing him one as Anya stands around the corner to smoke hers.

Jimmy: You hit my fucking cig. Curly, smiling: I started it for you!

The last panel shows all three of them smoking calmly, Jimmy and Curly both shadowing by the building.
