Icurus: he my sequel trilogy oc he is best friends with Poe he was a Jedi, but he decided to put down his saber after his master and buir died his Buir is in fact Torch. He is a MASSIVE flirt he also used to be a pilot until he got into a bad crash that nearly killed him

Question from a (Still, Kinda) Clone Wars Fandom Newbie

…Okay, Fordo and Alpha-17. Tell me about 'em.

This is what I have gathered so far:

-Fordo has red armor and Alpha-17 has blue armor.

-Neither of these characters appeared in the 3D 2008 Clone Wars cartoon. Fordo is from the 2D 2003 Clone Wars cartoon, and Alpha-17 is from some comics? I think? (I haven't read the comics or watched the 2003 cartoon, and I'm only a short ways into the 2008 cartoon despite devouring fanmade content, and making some of my own, for months now.)

-They are both extremely tough warriors (even by clone standards) who have survived many, many battles.

What I'm confused about:

-Is Alpha-17 also in the 2003 cartoon? What few pictures I've seen so far of Fordo often have one or more blue-armored guys (whom I'm tempted to call "proto-Rexes") flanking him.

-If Alpha-17 isn't in the 2003 cartoon, is there any other canon material where he and Fordo met? Because in so many fanarts and joke-posts, they seem to be buddies.

-Why is Alpha-17 named like that?? He's the only clone I've heard of who has a number AND a word together, forming his singular name (rather than a separate nickname and call-number, like Rex / 7567, or a nickname just made FROM the call-number, like Fives and 99).

-HAVE THERE BEEN JOKEY MEMES ABOUT FORDO AND FRODO / LORD OF THE RINGS??! Because if there haven't THERE ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BE (IMHO)! XD

-Is there a canon reason Fordo and Alpha-17 are often cast (in joke-posts and fan-comics) as the trainers of the young cadets, and/or the babysitters of the "tubies?" It's 100% adorable and I approve, I just wondered if the fandom decided this all on their own, or if there was a canon reason.

-DID THEY NEVER SHOW A CLONE'S UN-HELMETED FACE IN THE 2D 2003 SHOW EVER?? Because I sure can't find any screenshots of them.

-Are Fordo and Alpha-17 among the very first clones who were created? (In-universe, I mean, not just "found in materials published before 2008 in real life." Because in so much fanmade content, they always seem slightly older than the 2008 characters in-universe.)

-What are their personalities beyond "tough (but apparently semi-patient with their younger brethren)"?

I had a thought.

Imagine. You're 18-19 years old, and you've volunteered to work for the GAR (anything is better than more school, right?) And you get assigned to the Resolute.

And you're like, "Yes! Easy posting! Everyone knows Skywalker is the Chancellor's favorite!"

And then you get to the Resolute and the Clones take one look at you and they all have the exact same reaction to meeting you.

Fives pets you on the head and calls you "Little Bitty Baby Cadet." And Rex, stifling his laughter, not only agrees but shoves you into a grouping with Dogma and Tup.

"Cadets," Rex says, while petting the top of your head, "Need to stick together. The buddy system is important."

Tup likes poking your cheeks and marveling at your baby fat, which you'll grow out of eventually, maybe. Dogma teases you about still having baby teeth.

But, the three of you stick together and when Tup starts acting weird and saying things that don't make sense, you distract him and Dogma stuns him, and you both drag him to the medbay.

The Resolute Babies stick together, no matter what

Excerpt from Cadet Batch Chapter 13....

A vague warning buzzed at the back of Hunter’s brain, raising the hair on his neck and tightening his fist at his side before he knew what it was. Two beings were behind him in the hall. They were walking quietly, likely trying to sneak up on him – but judging by the height of the energy pulses they were putting off, they were also rather small.

Hunter didn’t turn around. He could either acknowledge them and maybe be stuck in the awkward situation of trying to explain why he was there, or he could turn down the corridor he had chosen and ignore them. The latter was more befitting a trainer if he was going for authenticity.

But something about one of the signatures felt very familiar. It wasn’t quite so boldly obvious that he could grasp it right away, but the comfortable feeling of knowing lingered on the edges of his mind. Before he could finish pulling the sensation into the open so he could examine it further, a young voice spoke and shattered the near-silence of the hallway.

“Hey, are you lost?” It was a clone cadet’s voice, just like a million others but unique at the same time. This boy had an easygoing cadence that Hunter didn’t remember hearing in the regs – it more resembled Wrecker’s often happy-go-lucky tone.

“ Shh !” This one was a little hissy, and more nervous, probably because Hunter looked like one of the Cuy'val Dar . “He might hear you.”

The sergeant didn’t blame the kid for worrying about his buddy. Even though he, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair had received extra training, as the “experimental” group they had been less replaceable than regs in the eyes of the Kaminoans and their handlers had been under orders not to “damage” them more than necessary. These reg cadets might have been assigned to trainers who were of the harsher school of thought when it came to preparing the clones for war.

“Uh, duh. That’s the point of asking someone somethin’.” 

Hunter smirked beneath his bucket. This cadet was just a little snappy, but somehow managed to make his snark sound amusing, as well. 

The tracker turned halfway around and tilted his head quizzically at the cadets. They looked back at him just as curiously.

The one on the right was tilting his head too, and his bouncier signature told Hunter that this was the one that had first spoken. “So, are you lost?” he repeated.

Hunter opened his mouth to answer, but he accidentally met the gaze of the second cadet at the same time that the boys’ scents wafted through his helmet filter. 

His mind stopped working briefly and he froze, staring into the shimmery brown eyes that looked so out of place in a child’s face. The heartbeat wasn’t quite the same as he remembered, but it wasn’t augmented by a pacemaker yet, just like the cadet’s individual signature didn’t feel quite as metallic or stiff because it wasn’t affected by a year in a cryogenic chamber.

The eyes, the scent, even the heartbeat screamed Echo .

How *did* Graffiti get that name?

Okay SO.

Graffiti had some nicknames as a cadet but he never really *answered* to them, y'know? His buddies mostly just addressed him as 57, short for CT-3157. And he was pretty determined to stick with that until he found a name he liked.

Enter his assignment to the Coruscant Guard. The clones there are mostly called by numbers anyway, by the Senators and all, so he doesn't stand out quite as much for having a name that's a number.

And then one day he goes back to the barracks, and Rence's half of their room is absolutely covered in wall paintings. He always knew she was an artist, but this is something of a surprise. Still, they're good friends at that point, so he asks what all the different drawings mean, and which one is her favourite, and all that good stuff.

He also asks her to draw over his side of the room to match. She teases him a little about being all matchy-matchy (he's a bit notorious among the Guard for frequently repainting his armour so it doesn't look scratched at all, which also led to him being nicknamed Shiny because he's still all spick and span). But she's also delighted to have a chance to expand her canvas, so of course she agrees.

While she works over the next few months, he asks even more questions. She's happy to tell him everything. She also talks at length about a certain art style that she's trying to perfect.

One of their superiors sees their newly decorated room and shakes his head.

"Looks like a mess," he says.

"Looks like art," 57 objects.

He gets a note in his file for insubordination but he isn't exactly worried.

Sometimes when he can't sleep, but doesn't want to wake up Rence, he runs his fingers over the murals that he can reach from the inside of his bunk. The dashing raptors. The blazing sun. The warmth of Guard-red armour. So many things they've never been allowed to see but still daydream about.

Sometimes his fingers stop on the words he can't see, but knows the location of by heart. The letters both angular and rounded, neon-bright in the light, and comforting in the dark. It began as a joke, but now when he's nervous, he repeats the words in his mind and listens to Rence's breathing, and it helps.

When you're with a Corrie, you don't have to worry!

No matter where he goes, no matter how many of them are lost along the way, he will never be truly alone. That comforts him. He's never been good at being alone, it makes his shoulders tense and his fingers shake. He much prefers to be with his fellow clones. With his friends. His brothers. His everything.

He decides to carry them with him. Not just the other Guardsmen, but the peace of a midnight mural, and the joy of an afternoon adventure. He decides to be called Graffiti.

Clone OC 'Pyro' CT-5838

Pyro is part of the Commander Jet's Flamethrower Battalion. As a tubie, his tank had a heating malfunction. This is just the beginning of his relation to heat. As a cadet, he continueally has had incidents with fire, either the droids he was training with spontaneously bursting into flames, his bunk malfunctioning and catching his blankets on fire, or accidentally setting his Alpha trainer on fire (he is very sorry and no one knows how).

Despite his many childhood accidents, he was incredibly skilled and was at the top of his entire cadet grouping (idk there are like 6 squads (based on what we saw with Domino Squad) for cadets but 4 squads is a Platoon in the GAR so idk what the number is but you get it). Despite this his trainer removed him from his squad and reassigneed him to work with a new flamethrower squad, who were also trained as a bomb squad. Despite working primarily flamethrowers, they dealt with anything fire or explosive. Due to their suits and nature of their training, it is very efficient and practical.

He met and worked with Commander Jet as a cadet and was practically his second in command. They were very good friends and he does know Commander Bacara (along with the rest of the flamethrower battalion).

Now, all this fire and accidents does not mean he got his name from his curious accidents. In fact its quite the opposite. See, he is -by all definitions of the word- a pyromaniac. Sure these accidents were not his fault or he intentionally caused them, but here were many later in life that he DID cause.

He is a very chill and honest man, with a kind soul. He loves people and seeing new things. He can be a little mean when deserved and is serious when it comes to the lives of his brothers. However, once Commander Jet gives the go ahead, he becomes manic and laughs uncontrollably. He can and will set fire to everything he sees.

Eventually, closer to the end of the war (not Order 66 bc that doesn't exist to me) he develops pyromania. It had always been present but his brothers would help with the urges. As time went on, the urges became to strong and to cope he would carry a small lighter. While it didn't necessarily help, it distracted his mind and satiated the urges during missions.

Once the war had ended and the Jedi left Coruscant (getting into personal headcanons here). Though they still lived with the Jedi at one of the older renovated temples, he found life much too quiet. Unfortunately, unlike other battalions, the Flamethrower Troopers had to learn to skills rather than apply already known ones, most of the time. Several clones from all over decided to take up outside jobs or missions with Jedi Masters/Shadows, Pyro decided to work as a bounty hunter and Jedi Shadows.

During his time as a bounty hunter, his pyromania did not worsen. However, he did indulge it with more than a lighter. He would occasionally take work for a demonlition guild, allowing him to set fire or blow up whatever was required.

His time as a bounty hunter/shadow was not all wonderful. During a mission gone bad with Jedi Shadow Quinlan Vos, he had lost an arm below the elbow and a leg below the knee. With quick treatment he was able to get mechanical replacements, which he then had himself and his Flamethrower buddies upgrade to shoot fire from the arm.

While having jet boots would be awesome, he already had a jetpack. Instead he chose to upgrade the leg with several blades. The leg can fully split open and spit out a sword or the foot can push into the ankle joint and pop out a blade at the heel, like a bladed high heel shoe. With this blade, his kicks would slice whatever came into contact with it.

Looks wise, Pyro hasn't changed much over the years. He's not heavy into body mods like some of the others and keeps things relatively tame. He has simple flowing tattoos that resemble lava flow on his arms and down his thighs. The magma stems from his spine and reaches just at his jaw. The ink used glows bright orange in the dark. Down his spine says 'born of fire' in Mando'a that glows red.

He keeps his hair short and his eyes are a more golden than standard. Pyro, like most flamethrower trooper, has burn scars on his forearms and hands.

Due to his time as a flamethrower trooper, he has lung damage like most. His helmet is equipt with many air filters and seals to keep his lungs safe. Not only that but his lenses have multiple filters to see people/targets through fire/large heat sources.

After an hour of looking around (and knicking a few things, he hears a voice that reminds him of Omega, he looks around saddened when he doesn't see her realises that other person is a clone, a female clone but that doesn't matter. He follows her for several minutes but trips over something and stumbles out of hiding his newly dyed corrie red hair, doing nothing to hide the teen* kriff it all....Buir is gonna be so mad....

Here's some Bad Batch headcanons, you sluts

Merry Bad Batch season 2 day! I'm writing this to keep myself distracted while we wait for the first two episodes to be aired. this is going to be a little harder for me because I dont like the Batch as much as I like Domino.

Hopefully this isn't as sad

age order oldest to youngest: (Omega), (Echo), Wrecker, Hunter, Crosshair, Tech

Hunter would have gotten his whole face tattooed but he passed out exactly half way through

Tech has a kaminese accent because when he was a cadet the kaminoans would only let him be in the lab or in his pod and thats it, fuck canon.

Omega used to have a kaminese accent but started copying the way other clones talked so she would feel more connected to them

Crosshair loves classical music

Hunter hates classical music but doesnt say anything

Wrecker was the copilot before they brought Echo in

Crosshair was the medic before Echo

Wrecker drank caf one time and turned a mountain into a canyon

Crosshair sunburns so easily and the others rag on him so hard that he refuses to take any of his armor off when theyre on a too sunny planet

While leaving the Dreadnaught, Tech worked on Echos cybernetics and accidentally started info barfing at him, he stopped half way through and waited to be called annoying and told to stop but, instead Echo just started info barfing back. From then on out they were info barfing buddies and the batch was relieved that Tech finally had someone who understood him

Crosshair tried to act all bad and mean because "he's still a reg" and didn't expect the reg to be the comeback king.

During a bit on leave, the batch seperates for a bit and Wrecker gets arrested, probably pissed someone off and had to defend himself. The corries try to call Hunter but he's not picking up so they call the second highest rank in their squad, Echo.

Wrecker is worried that Echo is going to be furious and judge him but instead Echo walks in, is on a first name bases with the guards and somehow talks them into letting Wrecker out of his cell early. He never explains how he did it or how he knew them.

Hunter fell asleep working on overdue paper work and woke up to it all done.

Boost headcanon dump! I love this guy.

He was given his name by his batchmates (of which Sinker is one) for his upbeat personality. He has a knack for raising morale. (It only goes so far, though—Sinker’s melancholic turns can really put him off.)

He’s one of those clones who came into the world possessing a decent sense of self-worth (like Fives). Although not confrontational, he won’t tolerate being harassed or stepped on by anyone.

The question of his hygiene arose because he was seldom seen in the showers as a cadet. The truth is, he was grossed out by the unsanitary conditions, so he resorted to using wipes/towels to keep himself clean. He follows a normal routine now, but the joke stuck.

He has an appreciation for nature and adventure, which, combined with his impulsiveness, has led to some unfortunate happenings. A wild animal that didn’t care to be approached did a number on his face, and he was so taken by Commander Gree (who, I gathered from the fandom, shares similar qualities) that he adopted the commander’s (dreadful) haircut. (I pretend they crossed paths at one point.)

At the outbreak of the war, most battalions weren’t fully assembled yet, so he and Sinker served briefly under General Skywalker (hence their appearance in TCW movie) before being assigned to the 104th.

He created the original wolf design.

Because of the Abregado massacre, he feels close to General Plo and Commander Wolffe, like he has a personal relationship with them, even though he’s just a private. They don’t discourage this notion.

Speaking of Plo, the General made a profound impact on him in “Rising Malevolence.” Boost’s love language is words of affirmation, and hearing Plo’s declarations inspired a powerful loyalty in him. He was the first to trust the General implicitly.

He doesn’t struggle with survivor’s guilt as much as Sinker does, but the massacre worsened his innate fear of suffering/pain. He copes with this by focusing on the good things around him.

One of those good things is Cub, a fellow private in Sinker’s new squad. The two of them have become bosom buddies.

They had just finished a training session and were now walking down the hallway that led to the mess hall. 

Hunter, as always, lead the four of them. He could hear Wrecker laugh with Crosshair as Tech clicked away on his holopad. Hunter had a small smile on his face. They had passed the challenge with flying colours but there was never any doubt about it. 

"Kriff, I'm starving!" Wrecker grumbled.

"Aren't you always?" Tech pushed his goggles up his face. 

"Don't worry, Wrecker. We're going to the mess now." Hunter called to him over his shoulder. 

Every other clone cadet they passed on the way to the mess hall gave them looks. The not so nice kind. It was okay though, they were used to it. 

 

They headed to their normal table with their trays and sat down. It didn't matter if the hall was bursting at the seams, no one ever joined them. 

"Freaks." A cadet whispered to himself, not realising that Hunter could hear him. 

Sometimes it bothered him, most of the time it didn't. Like mentioned before, they were used to it. 

"I think we did that course in record time today." Tech informed them as he took his spoon to gather some soup from his bowl. 

"You sound surprised." Wrecker chuckled. 

Crosshair took a bite out of his ration bar, "did you see when Hunter threw his knife and I shot it?"

"Pretty impressive, Cross." Hunter smirked at him. 

They finished their food quickly and disposed of their trays in the shelving units. Hunter stretched his arms over his head as the four of them left the hall. Wrecker had a jogan in his hands, he always wanted something sweet after a meal. 

As they headed down to their barracks, the Batch came across a group of droids. They seemed to be growling almost at a GNK droid. Hunter stepped inbetween them, raising his hands up to stop them.

"Hey, leave him alone!" Wrecker raised his fist at a rogue astromech unit who seemed to be bothering the GNK droid. 

The astromech and his two buddies zapped at the Batch put rolled away. The GNK droid looked up and around at his saviours, honking gratefully.

"You alright?" Asked Hunter.

The droid tilted back and forth, honking his thanks again. 

"Why were they bothering you?" Asked Crosshair. 

The droid honked. 

Tech translated, "He said that he was being put into the decommissioning unit."

"Decommissioning?" Wrecker gasped. 

"He's a defective unit."

Hunter patted the droid, "Us too."

"Maybe we could take him into our barracks?" Tech suggested. 

"Don't you remember what happened last time you took a droid?" Crosshair reminded him. 

Tech winced, he could still feel the burns. 

"Please can we keep him?!" Wrecker pleaded to Hunter. "He's like us!"

"What do you say, big guy?" Hunter turned his face to the GNK droid. 

 

For a while, the GNK droid, that the Batch had affectionately named Gonky, stayed in the barracks. No one was none the wiser. He was always happy to see the cadets that had saved him and he watched as they grew from cadets to troopers. 

"What kind of ship is it again?" Wrecker asked Tech one evening in the barracks. 

"An Omnicron-class attack shuttle."

"Here it is." Hunter showed Wrecker a hologram of the ship that would be theirs. 

"Oooh!"

Crosshair sat on a pile of crates with his feet resting on the top of Gonky. 

"You know, I think it would be safer for Gonky to stay on the ship." He said. "Just in case someone comes into our barracks when we're not here."

"That's not a bad idea." 

Tech agreed with Hunter, "Besides, its handy to have him around."

 

Hunter ran his hand through his hair as he headed out of the fresher and down the ship. He smiled as he spotted Omega with Gonky.

"And what are you up to?"

"Gonky's primary source  won't fully charge, so I'm trying to fix it." Omega pointed with her screwdriver. 

"Oh, you can't. He's a defective unit." 

Omega frowned as she patted a sad Gonky. 

"Hey, it's okay. We're defective too."

Hunter smiled as he headed to the cockpit. Sure, they were all defective. 

 

But he wouldn't have it any other way.
