She's practically burst through the door, clutching her open laptop to her chest, eyes wide, clearly highly caffeinated from writing reports all night.
"Hi King, please tell me you got a sec... My laptop froze just as I finished a huge debrief report! My last save was an hour ago... Please tell me you can save the last hour of work I did!"
"oh no, that is most unfortunate Lady Banks. Sit, please." He gestures towards a seat next to him happily taking the laptop. "I'm going to hard reset it, hopefully we can retrieve the autosave and that it was able to do so recently." He spoke reassuringly holding down the power button watching the screen go black before clicking it once more satisfied that it was at least booting.

We don't usually have em power surge protectors available here cuz it's very common for our area to lose electricity when the weather gets gloomy, sadly
But now I'm somewhat convinced it's a tumblr server thang after rebooting the router n nothing happened, I'll just have to sit back down and wait like the little wet tissue that I am and be patient and wait for it to fix itself since there's nothing I can actually do anymore lol
But I do really appreciate you tryna help, makes today's Tumblr experience a whole lot less miserable🫶🫶
Huh... I've never heard of that before. Well, you learn something new every day
No problem, either! I'm glad to at least offer some help. Feel free to hang around while you wait for Tumblr to be less of connective issue

south english writing tips for non-uk CoD writers
im so tired of seeing gaz say “bruv” every 10 seconds OR hear about ghosts “mom”
i have no clue how much of this applies in other places/is obvious but!
ok so common slang
bloke/lad - a man
bev/bossman/brother/mush - a man but in a friendlier way (like gaz might call soap or price mush)
missus - someones wife (usually “the missus” is the wife of whoever is talking/being talked about, i dont usually hear people say “*insert names* missus” there also isnt a male equivalent sadly)
scran - good food or to eat (eg. “scranned that nandos” or “going to the chinese later to pick up some scran”)
kip - nap but you usually “take” a kip rather than “have” a kip if that makes sense?
cardy - cardigan/zip up hoodie (usually gen x or older women i hear saying this)(and me until i was 10 and got bullied of out it💔💔)
tory - technically supporters of the conservative party but the definition has been broadened to people who are posh/rich (derogatory)
bender - gay (derogatory, if you couldnt tell)
wank - jerk off
wanker/bellend/twat/knobhead/fuckface - common insults (also cunt is a lot more common over here, its still a bad word but it doesnt hold the same weight as in the states, ESPECIALLY among teenage boys)(although they just say slurs anyway so)
babe/hun - typically used by girls either as a term of endearment or to be patronising (you could call a random person in a shop hun or use it in an argument it really depends)
any word ending in “ic” can be turned into “____iccy” for instance “i look better in this piccy” or “digestives are proper good choccy biccys”
dead ____ - typically used by northerners as a substitute for “really” (eg. dead nice cake is a really nice cake), southerners usually use “proper” instead
chav - female equivalent of a roadman, hard to explain in terms that make sense. if i say “so…? spray, orange foundation, m to the b” does that make sense to you ???
roadman - male equivalent of a chav, balaclavas, nike tech jackets, bikes/scooters, vapes, central cee, usually congregate outside of maccies in packs
side note: idk how well known this is outside of the uk but along side the middle finger we have a reverse peace sign, usually combined with a wanking motion but can just be used like a middle finger. also a closed fist doing a wank motion holds the same effect
i will probably edit and add more as i think of them but feel free to reblog with anything i missed!!
#these are probably all really well known but my autistic ass cannot tell#british slang is so weird but i love it#if youre writing an ‘english accent’ be mindful of the fact that i literally developed two different accents#the difference in accent from person to person is INSANE#my accent entirely depends on who im talking to but it defults to the poshy one i hate it#only thing that makes it better is that my mates dad (the punkest person i know) shares the same ‘poshy’ accent#call of duty#call of duty modern warfare#writing#writing tips#fic tips#accent tips#english accent#english slang#void posting

Talofa! I don't know if your inbox are open. But I'm curious about your OC Raven and Jelly! (They are so CUTE by the way! LOVE THEM!) If you don't want to answer it then it's okay!
I know their relationships with their soulmates (Raven with Price and Jelly with Ghost) but I want to know of their relationships with the OTHER members.
Like their relationships with Laswell, Nikolai, Gaz, Soap, Rudy- EVERYONE!
And by the way, LOVE your art style! SO ADORABLE!
Greetings!! thank you for the ask :D I'll try my best to explain them because I...I have not considered most of the characters KAJSHDKAJ so I hope you don't mind some of the more meh ish responses, if I didn't list down the characters, that means they have not met them! (dividers by @/cafekitsune)
The characters are arranged in descending order of closeness :3
Let's start with Jelly
Fish [OC]
((this is still in progress and development but)) Fish is my medic OC. He's like a brother figure to Jelly, had babysat her during childhood until teenage years. Their bond deepened when they reunited at the base where Fish worked, often met up and hang out in his office yapping about her latest hyperfixations, ships and anime.
Simon Ghost Riley
Jelly first got to know Ghost by inspecting his weapons. She was impressed by how perfectly maintained they were so she didn't think too much of his reputations and rumours. But the moment she met him she thought he was here to take her out LOL xD she can’t believe they ended up together to this day.
Eira Raven Liu [OC]
Raven saved Jelly's life without Jelly's knowledge (for reasons yet to be discussed), pulled the right strings here and there, vouched for her skills and landed her a spot as a weapon specialist + tech unit for the team. Jelly sort of sees Raven like her senior (calling her "senpai") and elder sister kind of vibe.
Kate Laswell
is terrified but thankful for her because of the whole "don't fk with me" vibe Kate has, but eventually realized how supportive she could be and got along well. Kate’s even invited her over for dinner a few times with her wife, which still blows Jelly’s mind :3
John Price
Jelly admires Price for being, well—John motherflipping Price. But let’s be real what she really can’t get over is him and Raven as a couple LMAO she’s their #1 fangirl and is not subtle about it, wrote a few fanfictions inspired by their dynamic too HAHA
Kyle Gaz Garrick
Partner for field setups and troubleshooting, they're pretty chill cause of how Gaz is able to share jokes with her.
John Soap Mactavish
Wondered if Ghost and him are-was a thing, is not bothered by it if they were (it's not like she already have a few google doc opened writing about two characters inspired by Ghost and Soap-)
Soap calls her Jellybean sometimes, I think they're chill too.
Alejandro Vargas
Flustered around Alejandro because she thinks he's drop dead gorgeous, has a hard time forming complete sentences whenever he’s nearby (yes, Ghost is silently jealous about it)
Rodolfo Parra
Intimated by Rudy sometimes but likes his cooking, also fangirls over Alejandro and Rudy.
König
accidentally mistaken König for Ghost -> is embarrassed and mortified about it -> surprisingly bonded well over niche topics
and for Raven, she's knows almost all the COD characters given her background and access to information, though she chose not to meet some of them. Note, these aren't arrange based on closeness since it's hard to show it, just more like people she has been involved with some comments xD
John Price
I could go on and on and on about them but I'll keep it simple. Currently, Price is Raven's fiancé, they've build their relationship from shaky grounds with many many downs and mistakes, but she'll take a bullet for him anytime. They've reached a point of codependency at this point I guess.
Kate Laswell
As someone who has history with intelligence work, she's cautious with CIA agents. It rubbed her the wrong way when Kate managed to dig up fragments of Raven's past, things she'd rather buried it six feet underground. I guess she felt intrusive about it even though she expected something like to happen. Despite this though, Raven doesn't hate Kate, she respects her for what she does. She prefers to keep Kate at arm's length, their relationship is civil but Raven tends to keep it professional.
Kyle Gaz Garrick
Gaz was the first to know about Raven from Price, and was there during her treatment of her back injury, so they're sort of solid buddies then.
Jelly [OC]
Raven has always struggled to express her affection for Jelly, not out of lack of feeling, but because she’s never been one to show her emotions easily. There’s something about Jelly that pulls at Raven in a way no one else ever has. Raven sees a reflection of herself in Jelly—someone who had the brains and abilities that would've surpasses her if it wasn't for the mission that severely wounded Jelly's nerves. It’s a side of herself Raven doesn’t often recognize in others. As such, she is extremely protective of Jelly. Let's just say the conversation with Ghost was uhhh....intense? xD (knives were involved and a clear message was sent)
Raven: really? him? Jelly- Jelly: He's uh....he's nice!!! Raven: *long sigh*
Simon Ghost Riley
Rocky af start, neither of them trust each other. Ghost didn't like the fact that Price is tying himself to someone with blacked-out background (as if he isn't "mysterious and dangerous" himself). Ngl, they kinda chill off with Price as the bridge between them. Surprise surprise, they would take the bullet for each other """""for the sake of Price"""""" (they’d never admit it out loud, and they certainly wouldn’t acknowledge that they actually care for one another)
Farah Karim and Hadir Karim
Raven’s time in Urzikstan with her PMC meant she was aware of Farah’s retaliation efforts, was there to witness the Captive mission whilst on watch duty for Lieutenant Price. Raven respects Farah’s resilience but doesn’t align with her ideologies—especially the decisions Farah makes regarding missiles in MW3. As for Hadir, Raven sees him as a wildcard, someone driven by emotion rather than strategy (in her eyes anyways), so she's kinda meh about the siblings.
Vladimir Makarov
Raven’s had dealings with Makarov in the past, thanks to Viktor (Raven's step-dad who owns the PMC Cobra) assigning her to handle transactions involving him. She's...well she was intrigued with Makarov’s unpredictable nature and considers him dangerous—not just to others, but to anyone who gets caught up in his plans. Though she doesn't agree whatever the hell he was doing afterwards.
John Soap Mactavish
Raven and Soap are…fine(?) There’s no bad blood between them, but there’s also no real bond. They’re more colleagues than friends. Raven respects Soap for being part of Price’s world, but their connection is more about Price than anything else (basically witnessed the real effect of Soap's supposedly death in MW3 on Price)
Nikolai
Raven knows Nikolai through Chimera. They’ve crossed paths during missions, though she doesn't know if he recognizes her. Their relationship is more functional than personal. Still, she recognizes him as someone who’s good to have on your side (has seen the uh...has seen Nikolai's "working" mode)
bonus: Raven from the Metropolitan Police Service (I think he's SAS too - ah you know the dude who told off Gaz??)
Gaz told Raven Liu about this Raven, laughed about it, dug up his history and went "you did not just compared me with this guy"
#banner by cafekitsune#can you guys tell i am absolutely terrible at writing relationships#im struggling real hard with this ask HAHAHA#half of it prob doesn't make sense#i just dont think about it that much you know#it's just...just Price and Raven and Ghost LOL#i hope this is something either way i apologize aksjhfksh#ask response#thanks for the ask <3#[oc] Raven#[oc] Jelly

Weekend Top Ten #689
Top Ten IMF Agents in Mission: Impossible
So this week I went to a special preview screening of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and it was good. And so – what with the film going on general release next week, I’ve decided to dedicate this Top Ten to what must now rank as one of the most storied action franchises in cinema history. Amazingly, I’ve only ever talked about Mission once before! Fancy that.
Y’know what, let’s just park it for a minute and consider Mission. Because at this point, the franchise is just shy of thirty years old; old Tom Cruise has been running very fast in pretty locations for three decades now. That’s a fair old chunk of time. Does it carry the same weight and cachet as Bond? Or even Bourne? Because, I’ll be honest with you, I can’t think of a single straight-up action franchise that’s got as high a hit rate as Mission. Apart from numbers 2 (muddled, overlong) and III (slight, inconsistent) I’d strongly argue that every entry is legitimately great. Like, four-stars-at-least great. I think there are at least two proper five-star classics here. From one franchise, starring the same guy every time, with half the films helmed by the same director too. I think the overall quality output is frankly astonishing, and yet I’m not really sure it’s held in quite the regard as other action series. Or maybe it is? Or does Tom Cruise just remains a slightly complicated and somewhat problematic, prickly star, equal parts cool and cringe? I dunno. What do you want from me, analysis?
I will say none of them are as good as Die Hard, but hardly anything ever is.
Anyway, one of the things I love about the franchise – and I’ll be honest, it ebbs and flows as a component – is the supporting cast. The first few films seemed to find Tom’s team interchangeable, but eventually they settled on more-or-less a core ensemble, with some big changes causing equally big ripples. I think the films are at their best when they’re more of a team effort: Final Reckoning, for me, doesn’t hit the heights of Fallout because it separates the team for much of the runtime. Despite the franchise evolving into essentially a superhero espionage fable anchored by Ethan Hunt, the fact that Hunt is technically part of a team is really the secret sauce that separates it from other spy films. Well, that and when he runs really fast or gets up on top of tall stuff.
But who are the best of IMF-ers? Well, that’s what this list is all about. So I guess if you just shut up and pay attention you’ll find out. This message will self destruct, etc…
Luthor Stickell (Ving Rhames): the beating heart of Hunt’s team. He’s larger than life and gregarious, but he’s also the most truthful, the most open, the most emotionally intelligent. He’s also really smart and capable, a super tech genius that puts even Benji to shame. And he really is Ethan’s brother. Plus, let’s not beat around the bush, he’s Ving chuffing Rhames.
Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson): she’s a dark and mysterious assassin-adjacent figure; a more morally compromised spy than Ethan. But Ferguson fills her with nuance and shade, and her complicated relationship with Ethan is the engine that powers the more recent films. She’s just a badass, basically.
Eugene Kittridge (Henry Czerny): now, some of these I’m a bit hazy on their IMF-ness. He seems to be Ethan’s boss in the first film, but has graduated into director of the CIA. Whilst ostensibly on the same side as Ethan, he’s basically a kind of rule-following antagonist. However, he earns his place just because there are few actors better at delivering cod-philosophical dialogue in such gravitas-laden whispers. I want him narrating every film from now on. That’s the pattern, isn’t it?
Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg): if Luther is Ethan’s big brother, Benji is the kid brother; a more naive, clumsier, goofier tech genius, but one whose heart is very close to the surface. Emerging initially as the comic relief – a funny British nerd to bounce off against Ethan’s slick American cool – he slowly grew into a fully rounded character, a worthy member of the team, but keeping the same daft charm he always had.
Grace (Hayley Atwell): she’s fairly new so hasn’t had as much time to develop, but in Dead Reckoning he shows both a formidable set of skills as a pickpocket and confidence woman, as well as a healthy fear of Ethan’s antics. As well as Atwell’s natural charisma, she also gives Grace a delightfully unusual scepticism; she really doesn’t want to be part of the madness.
Paris (Pom Klementieff): emerging initially as a villain – and quite a nasty one, really – she’s a woman of few words, and all of those are in French. She’s got an ace sense of style and some badass moves; her fight scenes are terrific. But mostly she’s just a vessel for Klementieff’s bottomless charisma.
Franz Krieger (Jean Reno): yeah, so he’s a villain; a proper, unrelenting villain. But for most of the movie he’s part of Ethan’s team, just like Luther. Do we trust him? Do we buggery, but what he is, is cool. He’s a cold and cool little fella, and he’s definitely got a thing about rats, but he exudes a kind of kickass European-ness. That’s mostly Reno, to be honest.
Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin): if Czerny has the best voice in the franchise, Baldwin is the second. He’s great as the antagonist bastard in Rogue Nation, trying to shut down the IMF for good; as the director in Fallout, he’s even better, on the inside helping Ethan. He gets to utter the immortal line about Ethan being “the living manifestation of destiny” – which I think we can all agree is both super-cool and slightly nonsensical.
Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott): again, a baddie; the big bad of the second film, in fact. But he’s definitely an IMF agent! He’s a rogue IMF agent! Mission 2 has a number of faults, and arguably one of them is that Ambrose is a slightly weak villain; but I like the fact that he’s a rather pathetic, needy little shit. He’s never cool, he never seems much of a threat, but he’s always a captivating presence.
Jack Harmon (Emilio Estevez): propping up the list only because of his drastically reduced screen time, the tech expert (techspert?) on Ethan’s first team is full of cheesy charm. “Hasta lasagne, don’t get any on ya,” anybody? But not only is he a friendly and charming guy, he also gives Ethan Chekov’s chewing gum. And dies horribly! Spoiler alert, I guess. It was thirty years ago, though.
Obviously I didn't include Ethan Hunt on this list. That's on purpose. He was off hanging upside down from something at the time.

So I don't have anyone to talk about my CoD OCs. I have two, Sunny a 5'5" trans man and a former Combat medic and his best friend and partner in crime Vamp a 6'3" recon specialist. Sunny got his nickname because his Unit called him their little ball of sunshine. Vamp claims he got his nickname because of his inhuman proficiency with a knife and would be covered in blood more often then not after a successful mission. in reality it's because of incident involving a late night cranberry drink run gone bad in which some new guys startled him covering him in red juice making him looking a bit monstrous. every holiday/birthday Sunny gifts him novelty juice packs that look like blood bags, because how else do you feed the vampire? a major side effect that it has started the rumor that Vamp is an actual vampire and Sunny is his handler in company's they've worked with in the past. is it that good or bad? who knows, it makes them memorable at least.
Sunny left the military due to his father getting ill and his mother needed someone to help run the florist shop and given that his sibling's jobs are "actual life long careers", according to his mom, he finishes out the end of his contract and goes home accepting his fate. However Vamp one day shows up to the shop and is like, "hey b!tch! Guess who's gone into the private sector and wants to take your ass with them?" Basically kidnaps him because Sunny deserves to do be doing something he wants to do not what his family expects of him. So they kind of bounce between company to company mostly doing temp work.
Over time they've added new skills to their resumes like Sunny gets good at undercover work using his florist background to send hidden messages. Vamp learns coding and gains a particular knack at making EMPs with limited resources.on the field Sunny is confident and can command a room and is unusually strong being able to carry people two or three times his weight off the battle field. out of the field he is a stuttering shy mess who gets embarrassed easily. even then he always makes sure to greet everyone with a smile even when he's freaking out.
Vamp on the field is cold and calculating. he moves fast and prefers close combat in the dark. off the field he's light hearted, cracking jokes, and giving shit to people he considers close especially Sunny. Vamp is also a bit of a nerd but don't call him that he takes great offense to that.
I'd like to think that Sunny's friendly demeanor and much smaller size would make him at least approachable to Moose, but I'm pretty sure Moose would also come off as intimidating to the shorter man, especially if he finds out that moose is one of the favorite children in shadow company without knowing why, if Sunny has learned anything from jumping from company to company is that you don't mess with the favorite. not that he'd want to mess with Moose he just wouldn't want to risk miscommunication, something he sadly excels at when out of the field.
I think if Moose met Vamp on the battlefield he'd stay away from the man, but if Sunny and Vamp got hired on as temp contractors to shadow company. Vamp would try and talk to him especially since he always wants to learn from any of the tech specialist's in each company they work with. Sorry this ran rather long.
- 🌻 🦇
Moose has had some bad experiences with mercenaries who are temporarily brought into Shadow Company’s ranks so he tries to keep his distance. Whether or not he comes around depends on what the other Shadows have to say about them.
Moose is normally very work oriented on the field (and usually very far away from active combat). Graves places him somewhere with a team of Shadows and Moose won’t move unless Graves tells him to. But, if possible, Graves won’t have Moose on the field at all and he would be support from a much safer and controlled location.
Off the field and not during a mission, if Vamp approaches him to ask him about tech, Moose may agree to show him some things depending on what the other Shadows have said about him. Same goes for Sunny on whether Moose approaches him or lets himself be approached.
The whole vampire rumor would definitely take off in Shadow Company considering they love shit like that, and next thing you know Vamp is being addressed as “Count Fang” in a email. Moose didn’t actually mean to send it with that name and now he’s dying because he’s embarrassed and partially terrified of what Vamp would do. All the other Shadows are laughing their asses off and Moose is just losing his mind over how he addressed the guy who is very good at stabbing.

(Fish here! I also run @ask-shadow-medic-soli blog, I keep trying to write a proper intro for King, but get distracted easily so this is a place holder for now. I figured I should make a pinned post.
Boundaries are pretty standard for asks, flirting, NSFW, and romantic RPs are okay. explicit or graphic ones are not.
Some basic Intel for him, he's a cocky flirtatious tech specialist who acts as tech support when he isn't in the field. He has a mask with a smile crudely painted on and He keeps his balaclava on, never showing more then his lower face and he's dressed head to toe with little to no skin showing.)

power surge protectors, you say? Ha h a we don't commonly have those around here 😔
yeah no I'll try rebootin the router, though I did read somewhere that image unavailability on Tumblr could be like server related and would take some time to come back, seems believable but I dunno if it's true🤷♂️
At least even if the Tumblr app ain't supporting images for me rn, I do know you're tech supporting me rn, thanks man👍👍
Oh good god...
Okay, so, do you have access to Amazon? Even just a hardware store?
It's true it could be a server issue, so it could entirely be out of your hands. But troubleshooting could also clear up issues you may have on your end. It's also generally a good idea to have any and every plugged-in device (televisions, vcr, consoles, computers, etc.) on a battery backup or a surge protector

Incoming random rant in regards to current AAA gaming industry.
There is absolutely no reason that you should have to be connected to the internet for a single player game EVER.
This seems obvious to most of us, right? But the companies are getting "sneakier".
Every single player game that the company tries to force to be online gets huge blowback. So what do they do? Well, if the fundamental part of any game has to have internet connection to work, then the customers will just put up with it, right?
What fundamental part could that be? Well, the fucking textures! Can't have a game without the textures, right?
The upcoming Call of Duty game boasts all new tech that requires you "stream" the testures. Speaking as someone who makes video games, there is absolutely no reason why you'd need to stream textures. You want to see your characters hands show damage and grease as the game progresses? Guess what! You can already do that by pinging a line of code to pull a pre existing texture! Textures don't take that much space. Or they shouldn't if you're doing even the barest minimum of optimization. Then again, it seems that has also been thrown in the ditch as well.
Not only is the game over 300 gigs, but apparently that's not enough space for fingernail grime. Look, I don't play CoD (i'm terrible at fps), but 1. It's incredibly insulting. And 2. Other companies immediately will do this too if they get away with it.
Not only are companies forcibly killing physical media so they can make you repurchase or subscribe again and again, but making you stay connected always allows them to monitor your data to sell AND if they chose not to support the texture stream shit anymore, your game is gone.
This whole thing is infuriating so much. The only positive is the thriving and vibrant indie industry. Support your indie games. They are the only thing keeping these corporations from holding an iron grip on the future of gaming.

This is another good example of a situation where five minutes of research can paint something in an entirely new light. I'll preface this by saying I don't play CoD, but I've played online games that use anti-cheating software so this is somewhat relevant to my interests.
This guy has a tech blog here on Tumblr and was employed by Microsoft for 12 years. The person who did a screenshot to make fun of the post paints it as a guy writing 6k+ words about "being banned from CoD." It actually goes into detail about the anti-cheating system utilized by Activision (RICOCHET), reasons why users have potentially received these erroneous bans, and the frustration when there's no actual company review/support for this issue beyond form replies and unanswered emails. It also points out that some users have received these bans before they ever launch the game, which would really suck if you spent $70 on a game only to find out you couldn't play it. Apparently, this ban has left him unable to even launch the game in single-player mode, rendering it entirely useless. That's pretty wild to me. There's also some discussion of what gamers are agreeing to when accepting the EULA (at least in the US), and how that can limit the ways in which consumers might pursue action against these companies.
One of the most interesting parts of the article discusses the potential software that might trigger a response from RICOCHET. While these bans occur more frequently on PC, console players have been affected as well.
Even with some of the MMOs I've played, I've noticed the lack of support when issues like this arise. Some companies make it borderline impossible to speak with a real person, and even then, those people will usually shrug and say they have no way of contacting "that" particular department for further assistance.
Anyway, the actual article is an interesting read for anyone who plays online games. It's certainly an area that needs reform, and companies should be held accountable for the associated failures and shortcomings.

this guy wrote and blazed a 6k word essay about getting banned from call of duty

Custom Ecommerce Development for Small Business Owners

Thinking aloud about what really works when you’re trying to build something that’s truly yours
Hey there, small business owner—you know the type. Maybe you’re running your store solo or with a small team. Maybe you’ve been on Instagram, selling through DMs. Or you’ve got a website that… kinda works, when it wants to. And now you're googling around, wondering if it's time to go custom.
So yeah, let’s talk about custom ecommerce development. Not the fancy-pants version that costs more than a car—but the real, practical, what-will-actually-make-my-life-easier kind of build.
Why Templates Don’t Always Cut It
Alright, I get it. Templates are tempting. You can plug stuff in, go live in a weekend, and say, “Hey, I’ve got a store.” But here's the thing…
As your biz grows, so do your needs. Like maybe you need a multi-step checkout. Or a custom product builder. Or you want that really specific flow that matches how you sell. That’s when most people hit a wall. Templates are great—until they’re not.
That’s where custom ecommerce development kicks in. MSM Coretech Innovations has helped folks build stores that don’t just “look good”—they work better because they’re built around what the business actually needs. Check out what they offer for custom ecommerce development. Just… bookmark it for later.
A Real-Life Example: Local to Legend

So let’s talk about Nivah, a small business based in Jaipur. They sell handcrafted home decor—super stylish stuff, made by local artisans. For a while, they were managing sales on WhatsApp and marketplaces. But it got messy. Inventory mismatches, lost orders, weird customer experiences.
They connected with MSM Coretech Innovations, mapped out their pain points, and went custom:
Built a storefront that matched their rustic-modern vibe
Added a “shop by room” feature to guide browsing
Integrated real-time stock syncing with their warehouse software
Enabled COD and prepaid with sleek checkout UX
Built in analytics dashboards so they knew exactly what was working
After launch? Bounce rate dropped. Sales doubled in three months. And more importantly, they finally had peace of mind. No tech headaches. Just selling.
That’s the kind of difference custom makes.
Choosing the Right Partner for Your Custom Build
Let’s be honest—developers are everywhere. Freelancers, agencies, cousins who “know coding.” But choosing a real partner is a whole different game.
Here’s what I’d look for if I were in your shoes (and I kinda was):
1. Look at Their Past Work
If they can’t show you something clean, fast, and functional? Pass. Bonus points if they’ve built for your niche.
2. Ask About Communication
You want someone who’ll explain things in simple terms. Not drown you in acronyms or disappear mid-project.
3. Understand Their Stack
You don’t have to be a techie, but ask what tech they use and why. MSM Coretech, for example, offers tech-agnostic solutions—they recommend based on what fits you, not what they’re used to.
4. What’s the Support Plan?
Post-launch is where many devs vanish. Make sure you’ve got a maintenance plan. Updates, backups, small fixes—it matters.
5. Get Transparent Pricing
You don’t want vague estimates. You want a clear quote, a timeline, and milestones. Clarity = trust.
And if you’re still feeling unsure, chat with someone at MSM Coretech Innovations. Even just a discovery call helps you see if custom’s the right move.
What Does It Cost? And What Do You Get?
Yeah, money talk. It’s the question everyone thinks but hesitates to ask: How much is this gonna cost me?
Here’s a no-nonsense ballpark: Custom Store ₹2–3 Lakhs
Mid-Level (with integrations) ₹4–7 Lakhs
Complex Setup (B2B or SaaS) ₹8+ Lakhs
But pricing isn’t just about features. It's about how it's built. Clean code, future-proofing, and support are all part of the value.
And about scalability...
When you go custom, you’re not boxed into someone else’s platform limits. Want to add wholesale pricing later? Launch a new product category? Plug in marketing automation? You can. With minimal rework. It’s like building your store on solid ground instead of sand.
Planning Features Like a Pro (Even If You’re Not One)

So maybe you’re not a tech founder. Totally fine. But if you’re going custom, it helps to have a mini checklist in mind. Here's one I scribbled out for myself a while back—feel free to borrow it:
User Login Options: Guest, OTP, social logins?
Product Variations: Size, color, bundled sets?
Search + Filters: What would make it easier to find stuff?
Shipping Rules: Free delivery above ₹X? City-based charges?
Payment Options: UPI, cards, wallet, COD—what will your customers expect?
Analytics Needs: Do you want to track customer behavior or conversions?
Marketing Add-ons: Email marketing, SMS alerts, push notifications?
Bring this list to your first meeting. Helps spark ideas and makes conversations smoother.
A Bit About MSM Coretech Innovations
I’ve mentioned them a few times—and here’s why. They don’t just “build stuff.” They build with you. You explain your goals. They translate it into clean, scalable code. No fluff, no shortcuts.
They also don’t disappear after launch. You can check in, request updates, plan for growth. They’ve got serious experience in custom ecommerce development, and more importantly, they understand that small businesses don’t have time to chase developers.
Friendly folks. Smart team. Worth a conversation, at least.
Final Thoughts
If you're sitting there wondering, “Do I really need custom right now?”—honestly, maybe not. Some folks are fine with ready-made platforms, especially early on. But if you're starting to feel that itch… that need for more control, better UX, or just a site that works your way—then yeah, it might be time.
Custom ecommerce development isn’t just about looking pretty. It’s about removing friction, speeding things up, and making your life easier behind the scenes.
So. If you’re ready, reach out to someone like MSM Coretech Innovations. No pressure. Just chat. Share your ideas. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll finally get that store you’ve been dreaming about building.
You deserve that.
