she started all the way back with Splatoon 1, and still uses an Inkling sona, and she's a Squid Sisters fan. while I started with Splatoon 2 and use an Octoling sona, and I'm an Off the Hook fan.

I’m sorry you’ve been feeling down about the whole Marina skin tone situation it really sucks how bigoted some of the community can be :(

To spread some positivity to you I made this edit of the Splatoon 2 Sanrio collab promo image as despite its cute art style the original is another unfortunate case of Marina being whitewashed so I wanted to make an edit that reflects her actual dark skin tone.

Plus I really like your Splatoon analysis’s especially your Callie ones. :)

Actually let me ask this:

DC = Deep Cut OTH = Off The Hook SS = Squid Sisters

This isn't a "who's the better band" or demeaning Deep Cut, but I just want to know if anyone's feelings or views about them are different compared to the last 2 games.

S3 is the first game to feature idol collab songs on Splatfest (I think?) and to have more than 1 hub. Also that SS and OTH have more of a prominent appearance outside of their story mode's compared to the last 2 games.

Please don't take this as me hating on Deep Cut, I just want to know if that somehow impacted your own view on Deep Cut's identity or something

ALSO, if you care about either SS or OTH more but less than the other one, just answer generally put them in the same group. I didn't want to complicate the question by separating them. I WILL do another poll though for this

With this next fest coming up and Off The Hook preforming for the first time in 3 and I just got to thinking

man, I understand that it would be genuinely so much work for the developers and in canon DeepCut hosting the news where ever you are makes sense but man, it would have been cool if the Squid Sisters and Off The Hook hosted the news for their respective areas

like, I want to know about Pearl and Marina's opinions on Marlin Airport, their dates at Robo-ROMen and I also want to hear about Callie and Marie's fond memories of living in the Flounder Heights for a bit and their hike gone bad at Scorch Gorge, it would be so funny

and also, for splatfests they could just add a third person to represent the third team if they wanted

for the Squid Sisters, while it took me awhile to think of someone, I think it could be Craig, like, that's their grandfather, they love him ofc they would invite him on their talkshow, he also has an interest in rap in OE so that could help, tho he would have to look different depending on whether you beat ROTM so that would be tricky (or they could make it so you could only access Ink. Plaza if you beat ROTM like how you only access the Square if you beat Side Order which would have been interesting) ((also also, they could also go with Captain because they are a DJ according to Hikara Walker so yeah, tho I could see how that would be tricky because they would look different depending on how the player customized them))

and for Off The Hook, they would have Acht, easy, no thought needed. Like come on, close friend of Marina? check. Musician? check. Collabed on music in Side Order? cheeeeccckkkk.

idk I just think it would have been cool but I really don't mind it not being there at all

[ OC | Splatoon ] Hydra, my OC, was originally a Splatoon idol OC, so it's just fair i made him a reference sheet in his original form too! He is the idol of a city called Boombox Fishers, always hosting events with his salmonid partner, Baby B!

Boombox Fishers is a city where inklings, octarians and salmonids live in harmony, a not so big city where parties happen all day and night at the city's square. Around it surround the quiet part of the city, where citizens live.

Hydra uses the funds of his events to help maintaining the city and citizens in good shape, at times hosting charity events to help neighbour cities as well. Sometimes you'll find him doing collabs with bands and other idols as well.

While him and Baby B. are both idols together, they host Splatfests as a single member and two teams, so people won't pick teams based on the idol. Hydra and Baby B.'s songs are really happy and vocaloid like. Their group name is Swirlpentines.
