Zombies Run S3M34 I Crush Everything

I ran this mission on August 22nd.

Ever since my friend started running with me, other friends who have never run before have now joined in. There are currently 4 people in the little group. They mostly do it with the motivation of losing weight. I also have 2 other friends wanting to be part of the group starting on Monday.

I’m happy that I have people to run with even though they’re all following C25K. I usually do my regular runs before I meet up with them and then we all do the couch to 5k program together.

Anyway, I signed up for a half marathon in March next year. Gotta get these legs moving.

Have I told anyone that one of my biggest fears is drowning???? I thought that after our rescue mission and getting Albert on the dinghy, we’d be going back to Abel. Why are we still hanging around the ships again?

We were quite confused when a giant squid started attacking the ships. Apparently it’s been feeding off the drug-filled severed limbs that were dumped into the ocean.

Dr. Myers saved the day and got an offer to stay from Holly, with all of us included in that offer. She accepted. Great. I guess this means I still have to be surrounded by ocean water for the next couple of missions. Getting seasick just thinking about it.

FINALLY CABLE GUY EGGMAN IS HERE!!!! 🥰💜

I've been waiting five years for him to finally get one and it was so worth the wait :'D

He looks absolutely INCREDIBLE, he's so game accurate and highly detailed it's crazy! His base with his logo is so cool over the plain older bases too

He's so handsome and jumped right out of the games 😍

They got his neck with the black bodysuit covering it correctly too! As I showed in this post. Unlike the Comansi figure that gave him a bare neck so I had to modify him, though it is very game accurate besides that too

The details of his stache from behind and his ears and accurate cheeks too!

Game model accurate merch is always the best, you can't beat it!

Some stuff from my Runner Five, Oisín Moore’s history

Raised traditional Irish Catholic. Has a ton of trauma from it

Was on a camping trip with some uni mates when the zombie apocalypse happened. Ended up tripling and breaking his leg during their run from the zombies.

Because they were stuck in a cave for almost a month, they weren’t able to set it right so it healed wonky. Started using a cane

Ended up at the military base as a scientist since he’d been a bio major and figured he might as well put a degree he didn’t want into action

Has an older sister but the age gap between the two is about 10ish years and neither get along well. She was overseas in the US with her fiancé when the zombies happened. Oisín doesn’t know if she’s alive or dead (she’s alive, his parents are not)

When he first arrived at Abel, he kept to himself almost entirely. He was recovering from the helicopter crash that shattered his legs. Even with Maxine’s skill, they still weren’t able to set the legs properly. Becomes a wheelchair user

Sam and others ended up dragging him to a Demons & Darkness session because they needed a cleric and Oisín was free. He went unwillingly but ended up secretly enjoying himself. Everyone entertains his act of not wanting to go to D&D night

Same vein except he hates it: someone scavenged a karaoke machine. Abel proceeded to have a karaoke night. People found out he didn’t have a karaoke song and the mission that night became “we have to find Five’s song”. After about a dozen songs, he got assigned ‘You Soin Me Roung (Like A Record)’ and he hates it but damn if he can’t rock it when he’s drunk

Speaking of drunk, he’s a total lightweight when it comes to drinking. The first night that Abel was able to enjoy the cider they’d made, the Runners had their own separate party. He proceeded to get smashed after 2 or 3 drinks. Ended up earning the nickname Cider which is only used against him when people want to tease him

He also got two ear piercings on one ear that same night. The morning after, he was horrified and could feel his mother’s embarrassment and disappointment

For his first year and a half at Abel, he’d dye his hair black because he loathed the ginger. Because it had been black when he arrived, no one knew he was actually ginger until he couldn’t scavenge anymore hair dye. When his roots started showing, Sam was the first to notice and comment on how ginger suited Oisín

Voice in the Dark is when Oisín started to fall for Sam

It still took him 3 years to ask Sam out

During s3mis24 (the one with the teenagers running off), he and Sam ended up becoming paternal figures to a lot of the teenagers. It completely weirded Oisín out at first. Then the kids and little ones also began to look up to him (though they already had a bit of hero worship for him) and he got used to it. The little ones were his favorites, though

Jack, Eugene, and a couple folks in the maintenance and construction teams have helped make and upgrade a few wheelchairs to suit mission needs for him. They also craft him forearm crutches when he works up the energy and muscle to walk. The kids end up decorating his wheelchairs and crutches

He ended up taking in 2 kittens when he becomes Head of Runners and has his own little private shack. Sam has out a camera on both of them when they wander Abel because “I want to see what they see!”

Will use a gun, has a good shot, and doesn’t particularly mind using it, but his real area of skill is with a knife. He has a couple types of straps and sheaths for his favorite. Two fits his chest, one for his forearm, and another for his thigh

Holds grudges and does not forgive easily. This includes himself. He will EVER forgive himself for the Comansys ships incident

It took him nearly two months to agree to being Head of Runners. While he knows he’s the best choice and takes on the workload, it drains him in every way possible.

I don't know who the militia is and I've forgotten why Comansys (?) is so important it's been so long since I ran the episodes those came up in.

Ok, so some spoilers for anyone who wants to play/listen to Zombies! Run:

Moonchild was the Head of Research at Comansys and was ordered by Sigrid to shoot down the helicopter that Runner Five (you, the player) were in when delivering supplies to Abel Township in the very first episode.

You don't meet here until s3. At that point, all you know is that she's a hippie and a zombie cultist. Which is a lie. She controlled the cultists with some LSD.

Later, she hypnotizes you and give you a mind control serum. After a couple of missions, you attack Abel Township and all of your friends. Only a handful of people actually believe that you're still a good person (mostly the radio operator and your BFF, Sam). It's bc of Sam distracting you that another runner and friend manages to give you the anti-serum and save you.

She ends up dying, but she lives rent free in Runner Five's head, so that's fun for a few seasons.

The VA just has this voice. I don't know how to describe it, but she has the perfect voice for hypnotism. My mind and face just go blank whenever she comes on.

But Ruina being in Clay's head reminded me of her.

This is super niche, but honestly Ruina is starting to remind me of Moonchild in Zombies! Run. Which is not a good thing.

I don’t remember when I did this mission. All I remember is that I was pretty busy and couldn’t even squeeze in five minutes to write a review about it.

9. how does your five sleep?

after ages and ages of trying to force themself to go to sleep and wake up at certain times, runner five embraced the life-changing power of giving up and just falling asleep whenever they can (usually in the middle of the day and a few hours at night. also, fun side note, for the first year in abel, they had to be monitored while they slept because theyd randomly start choking or just stop breathing all together! the problem eventually got better with adjustments to their breathing tubes and the gradual healing of their throat but they still have choking fits every once in a while if they dont sleep in the correct position which is carefully propped up on their side/stomach at a specific angle that takes pressure off their neck, either that or sitting upright

10. is your five verbal?

nope. they sustained a horrible injury to their throat a year or so before the outbreak. they signed up for human trials on an experimental device to allow them to breathe more independently but the outbreak happened before they got the upgraded device that boasted that it would free up and support their vocal chords to allow for speech. they sometimes use noises (mostly clicks and whistles, if you can make it without moving your throat then they can probably do it) to communicate but usually just stick to sign

20. is your five native to england?

nope, australian. they were doing a small crowdfunded tour of england with their punk band when their injury happened, keeping them grounded there for about a year or so (would have been a lot longer but a certain company, comansys, took an interest in their case and provided a lot of fancy newly designed medical intervention that got them much healthier much faster than was previously thought possible). they actually could have gotten home before the outbreak but in a shocking case of cruel irony they decided to stay for another few months to try and have some positive experiences so their last memories of england before going home would be nice ones

Said I was gonna do better photo closeups for the Eggman merch I got for my bday. Starting with my fav cause I just have to show you him

LOOK AT THIS ABSOLUTELY GODLY EGGMAN COMANSI FIGURE!!!!

You know I say I love it when Eggman merch is on model? THIS IS THE ONE. this ticks all the boxes. This is the EXACT type of figure I want, instead of altered or stylized in any way

He looks like he was pulled right out of the game! The detail is so glorious I can't stop admiring this guy, it's everything I've wanted 🥰 Of all my huge collection, this is easily an immediate fav

Bonus angles that are also important to me hehe

You see the black bodysuit over his neck? I actually did that myself by cutting a small piece of place material and popping it into the neck hole

The only error made with this figure is that they made his neck bare, way too visible and it looks way too long and thin for the big guy he is. His in game model and CG Unleashed model show his bodysuit goes all the way up and covers his neck, as I've shown in the past

But it was an easy fix, the material fits right in and creates the illusion that it's plastic like the rest of the figure and is now an exact match!

Besides that he's absolutely perfect I'm so happy with him 🤩 He's a nice size too, way bigger than I expected. This is no small Jakks Pacific figure, I'll take a comparison photo later. I measured him and he's around 6 inches 🥴
