Dad!Barou has always been proud of what a hard worker you are and how much effort you put into whatever you set your mind to. It's usually what you get praised about the most and what he tells his friends and other family members when asked about you. Unfortunately, this has led to your self-confidence being very dependent on your father's - or really anyone's - praise. Barou didn't directly connect those dots, but he's been noticing how as time went on you would stay up longer to study and work on any task until exhaustion. While he didn't talk to you about it, he tried helping by giving you fewer chores and giving you more free time. That only backfired since you used that time to study even more. One day, you broke down because you got a grade slightly worse than usual, even though you spent all your time studying. Barou reassured you that it was still a good grade, even though it wasn't what you wished for. The conversation went a bit deeper until he got angry at how you only focused on the grades rather than how you feel physically and emotionally. Despite your protests, Barou created a daily schedule for you with strict times when to study and when to rest to take care of yourself - and there's no other choice than you having to follow it. You quickly got used to it and noticed how much better you felt without constant overworking.

There are many things you and dad!Ego have in common. One example is that you're just as willing to dedicate every single second of your free time towards your obsessions as your father. Although, this has led to you not getting enough sleep and your grades falling down because of that sleep deprivement. You'd rather pull an all-nighter to dedicate time to your obsessions, rather than "wasting time" by sleeping. Ego only started to notice how bad your overworking has gotten when you kept getting sick over and over for weeks. Even though you were told to rest, you only saw not having to go to school as another way to overwork yourself. That's when Ego had enough and decided to have a serious talk with you. He was angry and talked in a strict tone that was so much harsher than the last time you got into trouble. Although, it was obvious that your father only wanted you to take proper care of yourself.

When you were younger, Dad!Shidou would always have small competitions with you, which led you to be overly competitive with anyone around you, no matter if it was about a hobby or grades in school. As you got older, your competitiveness grew with you, and with that did the time you spent working on always being the best. Shidou always knew how eager you were to be the best in anything possible, and he would encourage you to keep going to reach your dreams. But at some point, you would only lock yourself away with negative feelings, because if you weren't the best at something, you would always feel like a failure. Luckily, your father noticed that pretty quickly and forced you to spend time with him rather than studying or doing whatever else you wanted to be the best in. Every day, Shidou would grab your arm and drag you outside to do something with him. Usually playing soccer to destress or go grocery shopping, just to get your mind on other things.

So the message I’m getting is people are making fools out of themselves because of the uncontrollable emotions you have caused within them. There’s someone in particular feeling intense jealousy and rage towards you. This person is upset that they cannot get one over on you. This person is typically very persuasive and gets their way with everyone but they cannot seem to get a grasp over you. They are losing their self control and common sense and I feel severe second hand embarrassment for them. They are losing sleep at night thinking about you and stewing in their own jealousy over you. The truth is this person wishes to have the life you have built for yourself. This person is working overtime to destiny swap with you. But hunny, what’s meant for you is meant for you and you only. Can’t nobody take that away from you no matter how hard they try. I’m hearing “EXPOSURE”. Someone is exposing themselves in front of you unconsciously and it’s on display for many to see? This exposure is going to be confirmation of your true character. I’m sensing that this very jealous person has tried to tear your reputation down to many and it’s being exposed without you doing anything. People are seeing this persons true colors and they are losing respect and loyalty for them.

I don’t see this person changing anytime soon but I’m hearing “this bitch is a clown”. So a lot of you guys are unbothered AF when it comes to this energy. You ain’t losing a minute of sleep over this clown. You ain’t worried about this individual so when they start to get exposed in front of you, I see it being entertaining AF for you. Pokerating Day 9 I think! Furfrou!

Charm: Fluffy, friendly, and docile! There's a reason furfrou is one of the most common pet pokemon! It can also be styled to your liking with different haircuts! While I don't personally think its particularly cute, I have to agree that it is an objectively charming pokemon. It would be remiss of me to not give it a 10/10, but I will say it is a very generic dog all around. The only things I feel like I need to list as potential negatives is that dog pokemon are inherently smelly and that furfrou can be VERY snooty, but the first issue can be mostly countered by proper diet and grooming, and the second is definitely part of the charm to some people so I'm not gonna factor it.

Care: Incredibly easy. My family actually had one while I was growing up so I can attest. IF you can afford and find a proper groomer, these fellas can be very easy. Keyword if. You do not wanna have to groom these guys yourself. It's a LOT of work. I would know, my household fostered these things for a while when I was a kid. 8/10, you have to provide proper diet or else they get stinky and have a worse coat, they need walks, and grooming is a major chore, but all of these are pretty much just standard fare for pets. Getting a higher score would really require circumventing some of these standard care requirements.

Safety: Don't get me wrong, dog pokemon related deaths are far more common than most people give credit for, but they're almost always due to human error. Respect the pokemon's boundaries to literally any degree and you're fine. Furfrou were bred to be royal guard dogs but they're still pretty placid when not defending something. Just make sure you train them well and you're completely safe. 9/10.

Battle Potential: Don't get me wrong, furfrou are suitable as adventure companions, but they aren't winning would championships any time soon. This is really just due to not learning enough moves that would help them. Furfrou being a pure normal type already means it's competing with mons like snorlax and blissey, and while it can be a remarkably solid physically defensive pokemon, it can't do anything with the turns it can withstand. If it had a stronger setup move like swords dance, bulk up, or dragon dance, maybe it could be somewhat of an offensive threat, but it still has a very restricted movepool. 5/10.

I'm going to do something new for this rating. I think rating a pokemon's utility to a trainer/owner is important and I will likely go back and update previous rankings with it. Like most other dog pokemon, furfrou can be trained as a service animal, although I'm not knowledgeable enough to say how specifically it can be useful. Stuff like blood sugar monitoring and the like. It's also able to learn the move surf, albeit it will stink to high hell after being in water just by virtue of being a dog. 5/10, unremarkable in utility. There are much better pokemon to be trained as service animals, like really any psychic type, and I personally would never let this thing get soaked using surf. Best use is probably as a therapy animal but the generally snooty nature of furfrou make it subpar for that. Probably decent as a guard animal though I guess?

Personal Notes: Furfrou are great companion animals but I wouldn't expect much else from em. I've seen many of em, the most consistent thing is the bratty nature.

So, y'all may have seen my post about the Skipper Revised recently, and thank y'all for the support, I really appreciate it. Today I wanted to go through my changelog for everything that I have done to revise the mech. DISCLAIMER, this is in no way meant to be negative onto the original creator, boisegang, these are just my thoughts on the abilities of the mech and the replacements I had thought up. Without the original, I would not have been able to make this at all. It is a really great design that kicked off my enjoyment for this stuff. Look at the original vs the document or .lcp (I would recommend the .lcp) to follow along!

So without further ado, let me get into this.

Stats: I reduced the overall stats of the Skipper to be more in line with the Atlas, a little bit weaker even to make up for the sheer amount of reactions.

Gun Fu: the original version gave keen, a new way to interact with the game by making criticals more common. I liked the idea of criticals as a main theme, but I was not so keen on adding new keywords to the game (personal prefrence). I instead changed it to just give +1 accuracy to ranged attacks while next to your target. Basically reverse engagement. I thought that the effect was a bit powerful, (especially with this already buffing vanguard), so I decided to make sure that critting would never let you get the normal effects (roll twice and take the highest).

Untouchable: I liked the concept behind the original and have recently been playing an evasion heavy build, so I decided to add a feature that felt in theme with it: if additional effects would happen when an attack misses you, they do not trigger. I have taken 16 damage from reliable machine gun fire in the past and I think it fits the theme to be able to dodge reliable.

Bullet Time: I took major cuts to a lot of features of bullet time. My first change was taking out passive charges (for now). If you are going to have access to more reactions than the Atlas and most of them are good, they should be gained through criticals or stabilizing. Next up, I took out every secondary part of the reactions (no more slowing, immobilizing, or knocking targets prone in addition to the original action), decreased their costs (to make up for it being harder to get them), and did a few things to some of them individually.

Snapshot: made it basically a mini Scylla NHP usage, makes more sense in context of the weaponry later on (crits have good effects).

Dodge: made it where the reaction is on hit rather than on attack and made it a betting game of how much you do not want to get hit.

Rapid reload: I see what was going on with the limited systems being basically as ammo and this system letting you reload it. Unfortunately, the Gilgamesh exists and it makes use of limited ammo based weapons that have some pretty good effects. Instead I let it reload weapons/systems quickly as this (to me) was slowly becoming a cool/weird fusion of the Atlas and the Raleigh.

Deadeye (formerly slickshot): while the idea of firing even more bullets sounded pretty fun for the Skipper, I thought that there was a small area in which the Skipper had trouble dealing with. What does it do against heavily armored foes? The major thought is that by giving it an ability that applies shredded, you can still let it attack them. I made sure that the cost was high for it and that its effect was limited in time.

Gun Kata: in comparison to the other abilities, I felt like gun Kata was rather lacking as a core power. Instead of basically being a "burst" I decided to have it be an ability that lasted for the rest of the battle, reinstating the passive bullet points into the build and making them immune to the conditions that turn off their passive.

"Rose" Piston Pistol (formerly autopistol): This pistol (as well as thorn) had things that inspired me throughout my revisions, but the limited six feature had thrown me off. It was basically a gun that had better stats when using limited charges, but worse stats otherwise. I enjoyed the fact that it dealt a flat amount of damage (inspiration for the critical reduction from before). So instead, I decided to make it a weapon that had an extra effect on a critical (same goes for thorn). With an effect on criticals, I also wanted to keep the spirit of the mini Raleigh, so it must unload the weapon for the effect to work. One thing I noticed was that this mech needs to have good escape options (to keep it from getting clapped out of the sky), so I decided to give it abilities based off of manuvering yourself away from enemies (hence a big burst of air from a piston).

Bullet Jump: I really enjoyed this system, the only thing I really wanted to change was a little bit of vagueness in when it triggers (it triggers on movement, less reactions the better).

"Bellringer" lever action shotgun (formerly painkiller): A loading shotgun that packs a punch is really cool, I just wanted to adjust it so it fits better with my theme. Took out Dazed because adding keywords feels a little off to me still (personal prefrence). Replaced it with reducing enemy reactions (a common theme in the mech). Gave it a stronger version as a crit effect. Finally, gave it a flat 5 damage to fit the theme.

Time Dilation: Time Dilation is really really cool, one of the features that I honestly did not want to touch at all. The only thing that I did change about it was swapping it from being LL1 to being LL2 (swapping it with Bullet Jump). I was afraid that something like a Raleigh or Sherman could quickly dip into it and get more than what an LL1 dip may be worth. This does not show up on the google doc as I couldn't figure out how to change their positioning and had swapped over to mainly working on the .lcp (hence why I reccomend reading the .lcp)

"Thorn" Heavy target pistol: This follows the same trend as "Rose," the critical effect I wanted to make special. In my current campaign, a player (named Rose coincidentally) is running an aux build, and as a part of it uses a digester nexus (from eden rising) to deal +1 damage on all of the aux attacks. I thought it could be interesting to make "Thorn" do something similar, waiting to find a weakspot in the armor to shoot a "thorn" into that constantly drills every time the target takes damage.

Snubnose Mod: I love the idea of changing a weapon type to get more out of it, so this looked great for it. My only problem with it was that it just made it better on reaction attacks (which is usually going to happen with overwatch unless your build is really wild). I decided instead to give the gun threat to even the playing field a bit, make it feel more like a shotgun. I also made it where it could only apply to aux and main weapons, that way it fits the theme of the licence a bit better.

TLDR: I thought the original design was really cool, but tried to dial it back a bit using Atlas as a baseline while using some theming from Raleigh to build it back up.

Servitor Creation Template

Name: The name of the servitor. Can be literally anything. I like to base my names on the servitor’s purpose by rearranging and combining keywords of the servitor’s purpose. Other times I give them what sounds more like a title.

Examples: Misfortoh, a baneful servitor I created that can be attached to someone causing you problems. The servitor follows them around and causes misfortune. 

Or The Chaote, a servitor I created who enhances your magickal workings by performing them simultaneously with you. 

Form: The servitor’s appearance. They can literally take any form you like, but something easy to visualize is best. I like to base mine on an animal related to its purpose and then give them an occult twist. For example, my servitor Intoodep, who takes the form of a green monkey with golden eyes who enhances my divination skills. 

Purpose: The function your servitor was created for. Servitors can be made for any number of reasons. It’s best to detail their purpose as much as you can. It also doesn’t hurt to include things they shouldn’t do, such as perform their task in a way that causes harm to others. 

Energy Source: What energy your servitor feeds off of to stay alive. The simplest, most common energy source is the practitioners attention, which simply involves summoning them and interacting with them. The continued attention reaffirms their existence. Alternative energy sources can be things such as sunlight, moonlight, electricity, negative energy, or any number of things. 

Personality (optional): How the servitor behaves and their mannerisms. This is completely optional, and I typically reserve it for the more important ones. 

Sigil: The sigil designed to represent the servitor and serve as its calling card. The sigil can be designed using any method you like best. 

Mantra (optional): A phrase created to aid in the summoning of the servitor. I like to use the mantra method of sigil creation, but you can use any method you like. 

Anchor (optional): The homebase of your servitor, a material item that houses the servitor. Typically something like a statue, a painting, or whatever you want really. Servitors don’t need an anchor, but they can be useful as a focal point.  

Kill Switch: A series of actions and/or words that destroy the servitor completely. This is used as a way to quickly get rid of them should they start misbehaving or if they’ve simply completed their function successfully or if they’re not working at all.  A typically random, very specific series of actions that would never be done normally. Why Hearthstone Priest sucks

Priest in Hearthstone has several identities given to it by blizzard devs. Holy and Shadow magic, and the key terms; Purification, Conversion, Mimic, and Healing. With the main mechanic being healing.

But why does this class seem underpowered?

The first is that, because of Priest's healing mechanic; the devs probably thought that; like warrior--priest should have a delay until ultimate style of play.

The problem is; Priest doesn't currently have a set Ultimate. There is the devastating dragon deck "Take an extra turn". But this inherently avoids making use of Priest's healing ability.

It's not useless, but it's not great either. Considering Warrior gets to go above the max HP *and* make use of lifesteal, where Priest gets to be the only class seemingly limited to the maximum health.

Now priest *does* utilize an "overheal" mechanic; meaning that characters who deal damage to themselves, and/or have "overheal" abilities, can make the deck very durable. Until the ultimate.

And then the problem is; to balance this priest barely gets any removal... Though... Priest *does* get to use anti-hand-buff tactics, and devastating negatives to players who are trying to be quick weenies.

And yet; Priest isn't as durable as Paladin, who's keywords are Holy Tank. Can't really make use of the "purification" abilities. Such as silencing enemies, which would definitely help balance out the pacifist design.

Instead, being geared towards overheal, Astral Automata, and utilizing minions that have drawbacks.

Despite that particular style having a conflict of interest with the other Priestly mechanics.

Using the "Silence" all your minions gets rid of all their benefits too... But you only get two chances unless you manage to copy the spell.

Which means buff deck and anti-buff deck in priest *do not* synergize well.

Unlike other classes where you can build in all their core mechanics and switch between them as RnG dictates.

And ontop of that; the Astral Automata super nerf from celestial copy cat guy, and removal of Resurrection means that Priest is really far in the red.

Though, one could argue that priest needed that nerf to begin with. That it also needed the common core cards, means that every other deck that could make use of it as an augment mechanism has been nerfed for that as well.

Though ... Warrior really needed that nerf too.

The puppet master paradigm that makes copies of cards you draw is very powerful provided you can protect it for longer than a single turn, or wait until you have max mana. But by then; the opponent's combo is already at full momentum.

This is really the only class that I see struggling in this game. Despite my interest in making off-meta decks and decks that can change strategy or combine strats to throw enemies off their game.

Which inherently makes the core combos weaker while increasing survivability.

Consider that Warrior can combo into any one of it's core mechanics; Taunt Buff, Dynamite, Odyn Aegis, with intense synergy, but Priest cannot.

And, ontop of that; the copy/mimic mechanic is far too expensive to utilize except as a resource generation (weaker than other generative abilities) except for the puppet-gate, which can cheat out cheap titans and battlecrys. But only if the opponent is using that mechanic.

And if they have enough counters? Then this single counter doesn't really reinforce an endgame ultimate, so much as attempts to weakly replace it.

This is also a gripe I have about Rogue, as rogue can combo literally everything, but is outpaced by other fast decks, and can't ensure as long as a Warrior.

But, Rogue has the advantage of being able to utilize an opponent combo *before* they are able to because of the sheer access to all sorts of combos.

And having ridiculous RnG.

Priest has the potential to use an opp's mechanic, but only if they know what's in the opp's hand. Which... They never do.

Toogus' Bio: He was sent to the Pokemon World by the Voice of Life, but he was forced to go there because he had no time left. He was found by Dunsparce an hour after he arrived, with his bag with him, containing most items not common in this world, which includes: Full Restore, Occulture, an unknown missing poster, a broken TM disk, and 2 more. He can get mad and sometimes be rude about someone who upsets him, especially in the long term. Misc Info: -Toogus is anxiously trying to act loyal towards Virizion when she first interacts with him, trying not to upset her. The more he knows about her, the less anxious he is. -Toogus is heavier than he looks, resulting in him breaking a floor in Swanna House, twice. No one was hurt miraculously, no one was hurt (other than him), though he might need to pay the bills. -Toogus’ appearance was stood out by someone else, especially Virizion and Contem the Pawmot. -Because he is a human from another world, Toogus has experience fixing robots and will try to do so. (keyword: try) -Due to his fondness towards ropes, he has Vine Whip, a move that cannot normally be learned by the Amoongus line, as well as its past relatives.
