Seeing the little applications and stuff always makes me feel icky. Wouldn't you rather a friend you have made in this community with a relationship bulit over time instead of a random person who immediately fills the role of little/cg? Idk just feels off and like it's a commodification, then a true caring on either parties part

Hot take: Mandalorians don't speak Mando’a in the Clone Wars not because of anything that Satine or the New Mandalorians did, but because it's a kids show and it's unreasonable to expect kids to read subtitles for dialogue in another language for entire conversations.

Death Watch does not speak Mando’a either for this exact reason. It's also why the Nightsisters primarily speak Basic to each other and not Dathomirian, even though they do know it.

Like, yeah, I understand the desire to create in-universe explanations for real-world creative/practical choices, but that is a very hit-or-miss approach. Sometimes you do just have to suspend your disbelief and accept that this was done for the benefit of the audience and not for some deeper hidden meaning that you have to extrapolate from nothing.

the thing about queer exclusionism besides being blatantly hypocrytic is that it treats being opressed and discriminated as something meriting authority within the community. "youre not opressed so you cant be part of our community" who are you to decide what counts as opression? how can you judge an experience you havent lived? queerness has so many levels and intersections with other factors that you will never be able to completely santise it to your liking. there will always be people and labels that you dont understand and distinctions you think are futile in the grand scheme of things, but you have to learn to be civil towards them, you have to learn about intersectionality. you cant decide who is "opressed enough" opression doesnt have levels, its not something you can rate, its something you fight against and thats it. if you want to defeat opression, you cant use it as a unit of measurement.

No matter your system origin, you having a tulpa--even if it's just one or if there's many--does not discredit your system. It does not make you fake. Systems of any origin can have tulpas, systems that are disordered or have DID/OSDD/other dissociative disorders can have tulpas--and it does not make you fake. Your origin shouldn't dictate your validity--if you experience it, it's valid and real.

It sucks to be demi-verbal/verbal-passing because people get tired of waiting for you, and they end up talking over you which just makes the words get more jumbled in your head. I hate having a pause so long people think I'm finished, or it takes me so long to form the words that my brain gives up and I lose my train of thought. Or stuttering so much and searching for the missing words, and ending up talking in circles and repeating yourself 3-5 times because brain says if you can't say it right maybe it'll help to say it multiple times (it doesn't help. It just makes me continue to stutter through this and interrupt people after my turn to speak has ended and the conversation moves on).

It's hard because everybody trips over words once in a while. Everybody has a brain fart and forgets a word once in a while. Everybody says the wrong word once in a while. Everybody loses their train of thought once in a while. But for me it's every other sentence on a bad day. On a good day, every 5-10 sentences. And people laugh it off the first time you do it. After a couple times, people will jokingly comment that something's up with you, and one can excuse themselves with a self-depricating joke. But people start to get impatient and tired of it when you mess up your sentence for the umpteenth time. And it's really disheartening when people think I'm finished because I've been staring into space for 30+ seconds, or rude for forgetting someone's name, or trying to be funny by using a very incorrect and unrelated word. Trust me, I'm tired of myself, too.
