canon vox would destroy pilot vox btw. pilot has a more sinister design but he was a kind of a softie who took silly photos with the vees and had a shark dog and let val smack him around like a battered housewife. canon vox manipulates val into compliance within like three sentences, mind controls the masses into obedience, and is a power hungry overlord who regularly exploits and violates people's privacy for his own gain. yes he is silly in the company of the vees and deeply cringe about alastor but he would still think pilot/pre-canon vox is a spineless loser

I like when Valentino is depicted as this strong fighter who can take on other overlords easily and has cool powers, but I so hope the show doesn't give him much of that. Yes he's strong and tall and mean, but other than that he doesn't have intimidating powers the way Vox or Alastor do. He's got his guns and some smoke and a pair of pretty wings. And I prefer the show to keep him weaker than the other overlords if only to elevate his intelligence. Because for someone to rise to the same status as overlords who've reigned supreme for centuries and who could effortlessly topple buildings or teleport or summon portals or grow twenty times their size has to be INSANELY resourceful, socially and emotionally intelligent, cunning, cutthroat and manipulative. I want Valentino to suck in hand-to-hand combat with other overlords because it only heightens how smart he is by preemptively wrapping everyone around his finger to get what he wants so he doesn't even NEED to fight. I want Valentino to be dangerous in a silent way, where his power remains unsuspecting to the general eye, but the people who know him understand why he should be feared. And someone who can accomplish all of that with a few guns and sugar-coated words is far FAR more terrifying than someone who gets the job done by resorting to enormous tentacles or flashy electricity.

Not that I'm implying he does have a personality disorder, but his behaviors (and even mentality) are close to Schizoids.

+ (from an old convo with Munnie talking about Amir saying 'There's a surprise in Alastor's backstory') And I just hoped, ' Dear season 2, let it be an unexplained scene or cut, and I'll die of happiness.'

Whatever! Something unexpected to have but like also expected??? idk how to explain it properly...well, ELEMENT OF SURPRISE DUH-- uhh leaves the audience like 'hUH? What was that? WHO WAS THAT? whAT???'

So... Sticking to the origin of Alastor, I dwell on his death along with the idea: that maybe he wasn't mistakenly shot, but instead hunted. A plot twist is that the hunter is likely someone he knows/had bad blood with at that time. Then what if in his last moment (referencing the storyboard) he sees this- entity looming over him. Til' maybe even in between life/death, he meets the same entity in which it possibly offered him a deal...?? Then you connect that to the 'seven years absence' by seeing that entity again, but we would know nothing much about it, but why does he keep seeing it? or What was his connection to it?

You're basically dealing open book at this point. However, you're faced with encrypted letters.

Suddenly thinking about an AU where Vox erased his memories about Alastor and how that might affect the show's timeline.

Though to be honest I just want to think about how Alastor is going to react and feel about waiting for Vox to eventually find out about his return...

Only to find out in the Overlord meeting that Vox completely forgot about him as he smiled at him and offered his hand with a practiced professional air.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Vox from Voxtek, the Leader of the Vees. Are you new around here?"

In this AU, Episode 2 changes drastically. There was never a "Stayed Gone" segment nor was Sir Pentious sent to the Hazbin Hotel to spy on them. Which means that a lot would've changed in this timeline since the First Redeemed would be mostly out of the picture.

And Vox not giving Alastor the time of day means that if Alastor launched his radio show again, he has to slowly win back his viewership instead of having free advertising in the shape of a tv-headed obsessed fool.

Honestly, with how Vox's obsession on Alastor gives him a reliable source of attention and entertainment, he would be rather upset that the TV Overlord wouldn't give him the time of day. Not only that but he completely forgot about him! New? What do you mean new? He has been an Overlord far longer than he had! He is The Radio Demon. And he dares to ask him if HE is new?

What the hell happened to Vox? Why doesn't he remember him? Is this the reason why Vox never gave him the attention he knew he would give him once he realized he returned? What was he supposed to do now?

His feelings are hurt. His ego was bruised.

Vox was never like this.

And he'll be damned if Vox stays that way.
